Joe guided us for 5 days up at Purcell Mountain Lodge. He is full of knowledge about guiding & hiking, and shared interesting facts about the plants, mountains, trees & area. We felt safe and the hike was within all our abilities. Plus he's alot of fun to hang with! 5 stars Joe!

Joined Jocelyn on a trip to the Fryatt Valley. It was a trip of a lifetime. Jocelyn is an encouraging and thoughtful guide willing to share his knowledge and expertise. On this trip I learned a ton from him and the experience overall, always feeling safe yet still challenged to try new things and push myself. Meals were excellent and accommodations at the Fryatt Valley hut made for an easy and personal backcountry experience. Was also super impressed with the organization and preparation. One of the best backcountry trips of my life :)

I did the 4 day Fryatt Valley trip with Jocelyn at High Sights Guiding and it was awesome! Don't waste your time in the Canadian Rockies by going on a guided trip with any other guide. Jocelyn is very organized and his years of experience leading trips into the Wilderness was immediately evident in his calm confidence. The pre trip questionaire, the pre departure meet up and daily briefings make it obvious that Jocelyn is focused on safety and ensuring that each person in the group is comfortable and getting the absolute most out of the experience. Being based in the ACC's Fryatt Valley hut added next level comfort to the trip with the ability to completely relax and reflect at the end of each day. It also allowed Jocelyn to prepare delicious and healthy meals to fuel our next days alpine frolic. It was an unforgettable trip. Thanks Jocelyn

We just spent 3 incredible days hiking with Jo in the Purcell mountains. His knowledge of the area, including the geology and plant life was fantastic! Jo read our group perfectly and fashioned his pace accordingly. We summited two peaks in three days and was especially aware of a couple of group members that were not used to such heights and exposure. His patience and confidence got us all 'over the top'! Highly recommend this guide!!

I did the 4 day Fryatt Valley hike at the end of July with High Sights Guiding. Jocelyn was an amazing guide, making sure we knew all the details of what each day entailed and helped to support us if we needed it. The hike was challenging at times but extremely rewarding. It was very scenic and we had lots of amazing views. Throughout the hike, there was a variety of different terrain, which made it so things were always interesting and we were never bored! We were all experienced hikers on the trip, so for an added challenge, we were shown how to navigate and take the lead on parts of the hike. It was a great opportunity to further enhance my knowledge and skills. We were also given tips on how to tackle the more challenging terrain which helped improve my technique and strategies. It was really nice being able to stay at the Fryatt hut because we didn’t have to carry all our camping gear and cookware and we could just take our day packs with us on day 2 and 3. The hut was quite spacious with everything you needed and it offered amazing views of the mountains as well as a beautiful lake to cool off in. Jocelyn supplied breakfast and dinner that was homemade, healthy, and tasted amazing! He was also very accommodating to a variety of diets. I’m vegan and he easily adjusted the meals so that I could eat everything. I highly recommend this trip and High Sights Guiding if you are adventurous and want to challenge yourself. It is definitely one of the most memorable trips for me.

He was extremely personable, professional, and adaptive to the needs of both the group and individuals. He set a pace that worked well for all and coached some of the less adventurous through some amazing days of mountain hiking.
