Staff were so nice. We got Arctic Circle certificates. One of the better visitor centres we have been too as these girls explained in good detail what there is in the area and what to see and do where other places just sat there and waited for us to ask a question with limited direction. Nice displays. Serves free coffee and tea.

They also prepared authentic certificates for us attesting to the fact we had crossed the Arctic circle and had dipped our toes in the Arctic Ocean. Then, when she realized it was my birthday she had the whole WARUC staff write birthday wishes in the book Dempster Highway which they offered me as well as a wonderful poster of the Dempster Highway in the autumn. Thank you Amber and your team for your warm welcome. Amber and her team have served us so well, giving us a lot of information, our certificates for the Arctic Circle and for soaking our feet in the Arctic Ocean. Then, upon hearing that it was My Birthday, I received a book on the Dempster Highway, signed by the whole crew, and a Dempster in the fall poster as a gift. Thank you to all of you! Very neat visitors center with lots of interesting information. The center has a front desk to ask questions and learn more but it also features a mini museum with artifacts and information about Canada's Western Arctic. There is also a crafting area where some local artisans produce their work! A must visit for tourists and anyone wanting to learn more about the area!
