Have been away from diving for about 6 years. I contacted Mitch about doing my Padi Reactivate program before I go away on vacation so I can get back into diving. I had done the on-line exam and needed to complete some pool time. Mitch went over and above the call of customer service by hooking me up with a dive shop owned by a friend who had a pool class running that night in another city. His obvious concern was making sure that I got the program completed-even if it meant going elsewhere. With that kind of customer service, I have decided that I will look into some local diving, and Rec and Tech will get my business for sure!! Thanks Mitch!

Awesome diveshop on the Mountain in Hamilton. The owner Mitch is a fantastic guy who really knows his stuff and takes great care of his customers. He takes pride in maintaining his air-fill station and providing the latest scuba products. As a dive instructor/guide who averages about 500 dives a year, I bring my gear in to be serviced and Glenn, the technician, does such a wicked job on them. I can't tell you how many times I've had a customer whose gear isn't working and they tell me "well I just had it serviced!"...classic. But Glenn does such an awesome job servicing my regs and BCD that I have NEVER had this issue. I literally trust these guys with my life and fully reccomended them!

I was in a bind recently because I had lost my certification cards and was heading on a trip. I contacted Rec & Tek SCUBA (where I received my certification many years ago) via email on a Saturday night in a panic. Within a few minutes I received a reply from the owner/operator, Mitchell Wilson, who within minutes provided me with all the information I needed for my trip in a screenshot. It doesn't seem like a big deal but by quickly sorting things out I was able to relax and look forward to my trip. I can't thank him enough.

I have wanted to explore diving for about 10 years. One day I popped in to see Mitch, and instantly was at ease. Mitch was able to answer all of my questions, thoroughly explain the certification process, and recommend gear. I never once felt pressured. During the practical learning and exit dives, I was having a bit of trouble with my confidence level. Dave, Jack and Rob were so patient with me, and quickly recognized that I needed a little bit of hand holding. They stuck by my side, made sure I was comfortable, and were very positive. I appreciated the teaching techniques used, and relaxed. I finished my exit dives successfully, and am now certified. Looking forward to more learning with Rec & Tek! If you have been searching for a scuba school, go and see Mitch. You won't be disappointed.

Lightspeed Rehabilitation

My wife and I have been dealing with Mitch at Rec & Tek since we bought our first dive kit more than a decade ago. We won't go anywhere else to have our regulators and bcd's serviced. He is patient, even when I ask way too many questions before finally making a decision to buy. He has been a little too helpful aiding my wife buy her accessories and colorful wet suits. We had an issue with a dive computer that we purchased, but Mitch rectified the issue, and came up with a solution that again made us happy we deal with him. His customer service is second to none. We drive from Mississauga to Hamilton to deal with Mitch, even though there are plenty of other dive shops in Missisauga, Oakville and Toronto. He will take the time to get you the right gear.
