Yes it was busy and the wait time was about an hour (lunch time on a Thursday). However, the process was organized the staff were friendly and knowledgeable which put everyone in a pleasant mood. That being said, I renewed with the 10 year passport so I don't have to go back anytime soon :)

Horrible service I waited since 8:10 as a walk-in with no appointment and waited the whole time to get in at 1:50, everyone in line was told you could come back at a later time today as we would get a call when it was our turn but the two people in charge of the line never called anyone as they said it would be hard to get to a phone to call them as phones were in use. The one guy was just smashing a bag of Doritos and ringalos under his cabinet not paying any attention to when people were leaving the office to let more walk-in people in there we’re times the office area was not full and there was nobody in line for appointments but he was too hungry to let people in. The guy with pink hair did a really good job of instructing people to other offices that would be less busy or how the process works for walk-in and appointment and chip man just kept telling people his list is too big and come again another day. Not impressed!

In Google Maps says they close at 4.30 pm but they actually closed at 4pm. Wasted my time because i went all the way there with my newborn baby I got there at 4.05 and had to come back home. $70 spend on taxi for nothing. They should fix that and I should have looked at their website. Lol

Got there yesterday at 10:22. Had my form completed beforehand. Checked by a gentleman at window #2. Waited a few minutes for my turn at the processing counter. The lady at window #14 was very pleasant. Very efficient! Out by 10:31. Love this place!

Very efficient and helpful staff. I was in and out in no time. The lady taking biometrics was extremely helpful. When you enter the building from King Street go to the escalator from the left entrance and then take once you go up the escalator the office is on the left. For Parking, the parking diagonally across the building(from King Street)to the right is the Municipal parking which is much cheaper than private ones.

Was very happy with everyone I dealt with at this office. But a couple of caveats; 1) I showed up at around 08:10 and there was already a line (Office opens at 08:30), so be sure to get there as early as possible. 2) I had ALL my paperwork ready to go; this is key to being in and out of there as quickly as possible. *Double check the website that you have *EVERYTHING* before you go!* That said, I did overhear some folks who didn't have everything they needed, and the staff were very friendly to them, explained very carefully what they were missing and what they needed to bring back. The staff member I worked with was very friendly, very helpful, quick at her job and very knowledgeable. Wish I had gotten her name to give her kudos to her Supervisor!

Worst government service, and this is in comparison to Egypt's own horrendous service. The line up system is inefficient, telling people to come at 7 and already there is an entire line (mall door doesn't even open then) is wastefull, and for a government service of essential requirement, making someone who needs to attend high school (which ends at 2:30 or 3) have to cancel a class just for you to inform them you do not actually take people in after 3 is a form of deception (the actual time is supposed to be 4:30). Not to mention those in the lineup that had children or emergencies. The staff were rude, did not answer questions properly, and when asked by someone who was misinformed by the Provincial government, they simply did not take the time to explain nor act courteously, instead choosing to handle documents with carelessness unfit of a professional. Extremely disappointed at the state of this federal office.

It's a very clean, organized, and friendly environment. I went this morning to get my passport renewed, and there was an older woman at the front door to greet me and direct me to the correct area. I waited no longer than 40 minutes, and once I was seen was out in about 10-20 minutes. The woman at the counter processing my passport was sweet and kind. I would definitely recommend anyone to go here. Be advised though, to get there as early as possible (Before they open preferably) as it will cut down your wait time!!

THE SECURITY PERSONNEL THAT GREETED US WAS GREAT !!! HOWEVER THE GUY WHO SERVED ME WAS JUST AWFUL !!! I VISITED THE PLACE ON 26TH SEPTEMBER 2018 TIME WAS AROUND 12.30PM THE GUY WHO SERVED ME WAS WEARING A BROWN CHECKED SHIRT WITH GLASSES HE WAS THE MOST RUDEST PERSON I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS IN A PUBLIC SERVICE DEPARTMENT !!!! PEOPLE WHO CANNOT RESPECT CUSTOMERS SHOULD NOT BE EMPLOYED IN SUCH PUBLIC PLACES .. TOO BAD HE WAS NOT WEARING A NAME TAG !!! HE WAS IN THE MAIN COUNTER WHERE THE CUSTOMERS MEET THE PERSONNEL INITIALLY ..HE CLEARLY DOES NOT LIKE IMMIGRANTS !!!!

Well organized and efficient office, and despite the cliches actually staffed by a bunch of friendly people who genuinely look and act like they enjoy their jobs and the difference they make as civil servants. Passport processing was quick and easy, counter staff friendly and even a dropped a bit of humour. I’m sure there are others with similar experiences here. Not like you’re going to have much choice of where to get your passport renewed in a Hamilton, but I’m glad that our office here has the staff it does to make the operation quick and pleasant.

We visited on Friday, July 26 at 9:40AM. The service by both the Reception clerk and the processing agent were both very friendly and courteous. It was very refreshing from what people are typically used to in a government office. We were done in about 30 minutes, so pretty fast. Thank you to the staff and whomever runs this office!

Super fast. Well organized. I was in and out with my completed application within 15 minutes. They do not accept cash. Credit or debit or cashier's check. It's my first time applying absolutley no headache at all. Just make sure you have everything you need and paper work fully completed. Pictures signed by guarantor.

I just got off the phone with Passport Canada and asked them a simple question of "does my passport number change when I renew my passport so I can book my ticket now?". The employee put me on hold to find the information and returned with a confused answer verbally said to me..."how do you say it in English", as she thought about what to say to me. I shouldn't have to call a Canadian English speaking service and find out that the employees do not speak fluent English! Very disappointed in this service and company! Not fair when you have to wait that long for the service to talk to someone.

Spacious seating space, large number of helpful and efficient staff. Definitely recommend this location for passport renewals. Would highly recommend that you pick up and fill a form from Shoppers drug mart prior to coming. Saves a lot of time. Todd was very helpful as he made the process much faster by ensuring to each costumer that he is is attempting his very best to ensure that they receive adequate service in the most time mannered way.

I wish when the automated machine calls out your number it was louder! I don't have hearing problems but I still missed my turn. I went to the desk to ask what I should do, the woman behind the desk seemed irritated and told me to sit down with no further instructions. I sat back down but started wondering what was going to happen so I got back up to ask her...again she was irritated and told me I would be next. My number was called again. As I went up to the desk I didn't say anything just handed her my paper work, obviously I wasn't happy that I missed my turn but I DIDNT say anything to her. The woman behind the counter went on to say that we can be friends and I don't need to be acting like I was.....what?! I wasn't being rude at alllllll. Just by saying that it made me more irritated! Why would you say that to me, just get my passport in and let me leave! GET A LOUDER MACHINE to call out the numbers so people don't miss their turn.

They drove me crazy, Officer asked me to updated citizenship certificate , I went home and applied for new citizenship certificate and went back to passport office, and then they told why you mailed your certificate , Now after a month of going back and forth, they want a letter from my new employer overseas and airline ticker to give me a two years passport instead of 10 years.

By far the best customer service experience one could imagine for obtaining or renewing a Canadian Passport. Every time I've attended at their office, the level of service gets better and better. Providing you have all necessary documentation in order and your application is filled out correctly and your photographs are to the proper specifications, you should have no difficulties. Make sure all documents are current. Upon entering the office, you're greeted by security who asks you the purpose of your visit and will direct you to the proper line. Sometimes this line can be long due to volume levels. Once the counter personnel does a preliminary review of your application you'll receive a service ticket. Plenty of seating is available, make yourself comfortable until your number appears with the counter station number at which you're to appear. All the friendly people working here really do want to provide helpful and timely advice should anything be amiss with your application and they will offer assistance within the building to correct simple problems such as improperly sized photos. Be patient and allow yourself plenty of time, but honestly, I've never had to wait more than 1 hour even at the busiest of times. Minor mistakes once corrected allows you to re-appear at the service counter without delay. We are so fortunate to have this calibre of staff available locally.

We needed to go in to get our daughters passport renewed. The province is in stage 3 of the re-opening but they still require an appointment. We attempt to make an appointment and they said no, they are not taking appointments unless you are travelling within 30 days. We have to send the info and old passport through the post instead of in person. I am not comfortable with that. As the province is open again I find it frustrating that the passport office is making it so inconvenient. I can go to a bar or to a sporting event, but they won't let me talk to someone at the passport counter.

Went to the passport office this morning to apply for an express passport and was pleasantly surprised with the level of service. This office is very well organized and the service was excellent. There are several service wickets and what I would best describe as 2 "triage " wickets to ensure you have all your documents in order and to assign you a number. There were about 20 people ahead of me and I was out in 20 minutes. I should have my passport in 3 days! 5 stars

I went through the day while people were at work thinking I'd be in an out fast but I was wrong. Waited WELL over an hour and a half to renew my passport. I had filled everything out and had all of my information ready prior to arriving and people who weren't prepared got served before me. They only had 4 people working and there were 20 counters they could have filled with more staff. Will be mailing my application next time.

Horrible service. Had an appointment with one of the staff members, named Ana. Found her extremely rude. I hope this review is read by management staff. She has NO respect for the customers, and I was shocked by her attitude. Not only was she rude, she completely disregarded my question and told me to leave. This is not the first time I have had a bad experience with this Passport Office. On the contrary, the security staff were extremely nice, and helpful.

We recently had our passports renewed and were advised to take it to the King St. office in Hamilton. We arrived 10 minutes before closing and they greeted us, directed us to the appropriate personnel and after they reviewed our forms, we were given a number and only waited a couple of minutes and we were called to present our forms and existing passports. This was done in a matter of minutes and were were on our way. What I must say is that EVERYONE was pleasant, helpful and it was truly a pleasure getting our passport renewed. My husband and I thank the staff for their smiles and help, so very efficient and greatly appreciated. One last thing was our passports arrived via canada post at our door just over one week later.
