I worked with Simon Lammers and he was professional, respectful and an absolute delight to work with! This was my first time getting auto insurance and he took extra time to explain everything in detail so I fully understood. He was so patient and accommodating with my timeline and schedule. She sent an email regarding our request to add our daughter to to our car insurance as an occasional driver. She will turn 25 in less than 2 weeks and she failed to tell us that it would cost us 500 dollars for the 2 weeks instead of not adding her to our policy for the 2 weeks. Basically she was asking us to pay this amount which was robbery and not an honest way to do business. She should have told us to wait until she turned 25 or at least mention to us the honest options. Her name was Jessie. I'm not sure this was done intentionally. I would like to think it wasn't, however they need to be aware of this so it doesn't happen to other customers. They are now looking to make accommodations to look after our request. This post is to try to ensure that information shared is honest and the best solution is advised to the customer so people can be trusted. She was pleasant to talk to, but I feel as though a big piece of the information was not communicated.

Katie is awesome! She was able to talk with us on the phone and explain all of the different coverages of the policy. She also got in touch with our lawyer and was able to make sure that our mortgage lender was properly named on the policy, and then sent the insurance binder to the lawyer directly. We didn’t even have to deal with it! Katie was super responsive and made getting home insurance the easiest part of our home purchasing process.

Very friendly broker, that I wanted to do business with. Unfortunately, they have very little knowledge on how to deal with the self-employed. I'm an editor for TV. I make decent money and have worked in the industry for many years. They were unable to provide me with home insurance options, beyond Intact, which I was looking to switch from. They also asked me questions that had nothing to do with me, like "what about errors and omission liability." It felt like I was trying to get a loan to finance a movie and it certainly didn't feel like I was in the hands of someone with experience with customers like myself. I'm now speaking with a few other brokers and they have given me a bunch of great, affordable options. So I'm left very confused with my experience at Morison. Overall, dealing with Morison ended up just being a frustrating few hours of my life. I wouldn't recommend them if you're self-employed. Certainly not if you work in the film/television industry. They're probably awesome if you work a 9-5 corporate job.
