Just wanted to book a quick easy flight but decided to use a travel agent due to covid. Not only did she keep trying to switch things up on me appointment and phone calls but blamed her coworker for all of it .The last straw was asking me to come in for a time and day then tried to cancel said she would return my call never did then called me at appointment time asking were I was. Ya I went to another one had it booked and taken care of in ten min. Marlin can't get there things together there is no way I would trust them with my travel plans for a quick simple trip or a big getaway

I will not be a repeat customer. My advice would be to use any other travel agency. I arranged a group booking agreement with one of the owners, Lani Malanchuk, so that the guests attending my wedding could benefit from booking together. After sending out my invitations, I thought it would be smooth sailing. This premature thought was anything but accurate and given that everyone had Lani’s contact information, I was stuck with her. More than 10 business days would go by after guests inquiries with no response from her before guests would turn to me out of frustration. When I let Lani know that this time frame was unacceptable and unprofessional she assured me that she would pick up the slack. However, after a short passage of time, she fell back into her old habit and when I confronted her a second time about her far from stellar service, she informed me that a heart attack in her family was to blame. I can understand why that would keep her out of the office, but what I can’t wrap my head around is why this kept her from having her paid employees fill in for her. We ran into a serious problem of untimely and non-responses on her part yet again a couple months later, and this time she explained that her business partner had passed away. Yet again, I understand that unexpected life events crop up, however, I still can’t understand how a business owner is not able to delegate tasks to her paid employees during such times. Instead she chose to ignore the messages my guests were leaving for her, necessitating my involvement on their behalf. Anyone who has been involved in the organization of a wedding, can understand that this extra task that fell on me, the bride, caused a great deal of unnecessary stress. As the wedding rapidly approached, we ran into a snag with one guest who hadn’t booked in a timely manner and Lani assured us she was doing what she could to find a solution. On more than one occasion Lani informed this particular guest that she would have a final reply by a particular day, however, that day would come and go with no word from her. My guest and I would both contact her yet again and be given a similar reply from her about a new particular day and be left hanging yet again. Fortunately we were able to book this guest in the end, no thanks to our “travel professional.”

Very little help given by this agency. The girl who took the original booking never bothered to answer any question by email except when payment was due and i questioned the date and then the reply was pretty rude. I believe she no longer works there. Other staff seemed disinclined to help when we went in with an issue and told us to sort it out ourselves on board. Next time i will go with a company that actually seems to want to help the customer.

My husband and I decided end of October to go to Mexico and get married. With all the restrictions we just wanted to go away and elope, having a romantic wedding/honeymoon. We also wanted to go I. Less then two weeks so it was short notice. We contacted a travel agent in town and got an email response a few days later stating they couldn’t guarantee a wedding, we would have to figure that part out. So then we called Marlin Travel. Sue answered the phone right away. She was so kind and listened to our story and understood how important it was to us to plan this trip. By the end of the day we had 4 wonderful resorts to pick from as she sent us information right away for us to look at. We booked the trip the next day. She sent emails to the resort explaining that we wish to be married. She sent a few emails so that the resort would know when we got there what we wished for. Sue was very excited for us was all the other staff at Marlin Travel when I came into pick up the tickets and travel info. When we got to the resort we explained how our travel agent had emailed requesting a wedding ceremony even though it was short notice they were able to provide this service. We really enjoyed the resort and had a wonderful experience. When we got home we received a lovely card from Sue wishing us a happy marriage and wanting to know how our trip was. I phoned Sue when we got home and told her the good news that we did get married as we wished and the resort was wonderful. She was truly happy and thrilled for us. I would highly recommend Marlin Travel for any travel needs. Especially when you want someone who will care about what you are really wishing for and will also celebrate with you when those wishes come true Thank you Sue and the staff at Marlin Travel for helping to make our wedding so wonderful and filled with wonderful memories

Unbelievable service. I went on my honeymoon to Greece, and it just so happened that riots broke out there. Marlin Travel had us moved to a safe location, and organized our travel home for us at no extra expense. They truly look out for your best interests when booking, AND while you're away. I used to love this travel agency but now because of covid I believe it's probably the only place in Brantford that is not open. Doesn't matter how many times you call nobody will answer the phone. So you have no choice but to have to leave a message and talk to a machine. Now I might be old fashioned but I do not think that is good customer service.

We've been customers of this travel agency for many years, and we have always been very pleased with the level of service provided. Our first experience was to have them organize our large extended family's trip to Disney world. This involved 16 people in 6 different households, and not one detail was missed. All names, payments, reservations, etc. were perfect. A stunning level of attention to making our trip absolutely wonderful. Very friendly, professional agents, always able to give good advice and make suggestions to help you plan your vacation. You can't go wrong with any of the agents, but we have dealt most often with Dianne, and would highly recommend her. There's all kinds of opportunity to book travel on many websites, but it is so much better to speak to an actual person who can help you make smart decisions, and just make the process simple. You will love these people!

Just got off the phone looking for advice. I had explained my travel agent retired. Yes I had a previous cruise booked online.The agent explained that giving me COVID travel advice does nothing for her business and then quickly ended the phone call. I am dumbfounded. This has guaranteed that I will never book with them and never recommend that anyone book with them. As someone who works in the service industry I understand the value of advice and would never treat a prospective client in such a way. I completely understand the challenges that this industry has had over the last two years but instead of working to build quality contacts they have ensured that they will never get mine or my family’s business. FYI Mary, we cruise twice a year. My in laws cruise 3 times per yr and our travel size is between 5-9 people. I’m sure that would have been no benefit to your business either.

No help with paperwork or planning. Went online and found a way to get tickets and book excursions on our own. It was as if once they received payment they were done with you. We had booked a holiday in Punta Cana at a brand new resort a few weeks ago. Since booking the reviews on tripadvisor had varied from good to horrible. Many many reports of illness among the guests. My wife and I voiced our concerns to Suzanne at Marlin Pickerin town centre. She worked tirelessly to get our resort changed. As of today 4 days before departure she did just that. We are going on the same day same flight but to a different resort. Thanks also need to go out to Jasmine the Sunwing rep who heard our concerns and acted. Outstanding!!!!. You can do your online bookings if you like but you cannot beat the one to one service offered through a real agent. And this agent in particular!!! Susanne you are brilliant!! We will go nowhere else from now on (God help you)????

I get that they need to make money but we did not sign the agreement that would have notified us about this second fee.

Thank you so much to the amazing Jeanette who went above and beyond for me in the last 2½ months. I had an emergency in Ireland and I needed to go home as soon as possible. Jeanette made this possible and was very patient with me and I flew out the next day. On arrival in Ireland I received an email hoping I had a safe journey over and to have a safe and happy time with my family. This I thought was just so lovely and caring. I then had some issues with a flight that was taken care of and another return flight was booked. Then further restrictions/rules were put in place to enter Canada and Jeanette emailed me this information so I would have everything I needed before my flight...again amazing..thank you! Then on arrival in Canada I received an email to welcome me home wishing I had a safe flight back and hoping everything went smoothly. I don't know anyone else who has ever done that and I was blown away. The service was more than 100% it was so personal and I felt like Jeanette really cares. In this stressful time she really had my back and I'm forever grateful! X
