You have all the feddbacks of people like you who have information of the products of Kingston 1000 Islands Cruises (Travel Agency) in the area close to Gananoque (Canada).
Now the business gets a rating of 4.2 stars over 5 and this score is based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that its rating is really positive, and it's based on a high number of reviews, so we may think that the evaluation is quite credible. If many people have bothered to evaluate when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to place tatings when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Travel Agency is classified in the category of Boat tour agency.
Enjoyed this immensely, the food (lunch cruise)was excellent. This was more fun than expected, beautiful scenery, next time well do the dinner cruise
Awesome scenery and peaceful place
Perfectly organized and delivered cruise. Decent price, excellent boat. Only concern are some very tall steps in the doorways which are not marked, and front-of-boat door which is too heavy and closes too quickly (my knee felt it).
Excellent service, food, and entertainment. The thousand Islands are beautiful and the Island boats are the best way to experience the beauty.
Couldn't hear the speakers talking about the history. Was really humid and the boat was very uncomfortable and hot. Food was ok, steak had a weird taste. Salads were good. Bit boring but there was booze.
The cruise was nice and clean. But 3 hours seems very long. However, the cruise announcements was very slow, we can barely hear it. Even though you are onboard for 3 hours you want be exploring much. You have to see everything from very far sight. It’s one time go thing we won’t visit again.
Although 1 hr flew by but it was worth it
Very enjoyable day on the water. My meal was decent but could have been a little better. The rice was a little undercooked and I needed to ask for more sauce because it was very light. I still think it was a good service but some room for improvement.
Took the 2 pm cruise on the Sunday of the Civic day long weekend. They insist on people reporting at least 20 minutes before the start but begin boarding only 20 minutes after the scheduled departure time which means you need to stand in a completely unorganized queue for almost 45 minutes in the heat. Once on board you need to scramble to get a seat for your self and anyone travelling with you and it is very evident that the company is only interested in packing the boat to capacity without giving a damn. Who has middle row seats on a cruise where you can see nothing on either side. Food and beverages were grossly overpriced. Definitely worth a miss. Half an hour into the cruise I wish I had an option to go back to the boarding dock.
Great
I love this dinner cruise! The food is good value for your money and having entertainment is an added plus to this event. I only wish that there was a dress code to make it a little more special and that there was more room for guests at their seats.
Last time boat was late 10 mintues they said sorry , but yesterday we reached 2 mintuea late and we requested before reaching but staff said its our fix time we can't wait for u guys. we waste our money $350.
Great experience.
Just went on the sunset dinner cruise to celebrate my sons graduation from Queens. Wasn’t sure what to expect for the musical entertainment, and I guess after viewing the age group on the cruise, was not surprised to hear it was going to be Hank Williams and Patsy Cline. Not exactly my taste in music, but the Cliff Edwards band was entertaining. The female vocalist was exceptional. Now the food service....that’s a complete other story. They did a great job with drinks and appetizers. But the main course service was brutal. Approximately 20 tables (give or take a few). We paid fo premium table seating. We were the last table to get served. I understand someone has to be last, but when all the other tables are done eating (with exception of two other tables) and we’re just getting our meals. Something is wrong with the way the service is executed. Not only were we the last table eating (did I mention everyone else was done and most tables cleared?), the food was stone cold. The two redeeming factors for the cruise was the scenery and the band. I would recommend this cruise if you are at least 70 years old and really enjoy country music. And don’t mind cold food.
Beautiful city will be back again
Enjoyed the cruise nice relaxing the on board food and music was entertaining
The worse experience in terms of service...they make people stand in line and people who are first in line gets to board last. We stood in line close to 90 degrees weather for 45mins thinking we will get decent window seat but we had to fight was the seats when we got boarded after being 5th family in line from start. It's very frustrating as I had my 4yr stood with us in sunny hot weather.
One of the best place in the world... everyone should go... great ferry ridd
Amazing boat, crew, food and entertainment!
The cruise is lovely. Great views of some of the islands and the Kingston shoreline. The soundtrack played on the tour is a little cheesy at times but there was some interesting info too. Good value for the money.
Such a great time with our Friends... This is something you must put on your list to do . We had the excursion with supper ,music and dance just a wonderful time...
We really enjoyed our time on the island queen 3hr lunch cruise! The buffet lunch was pretty good. But the scenery this time of year was AWESOME !!!
I booked the 3hr cruise for my wife and I for this past Monday and it was quite disappointing and some what depressing to be honest. First off, we were told that we couldn't bring food or drinks on to the boat eg. lunch. So we ate beforehand. The scary part was that the restaurant that we bought lunch at said we shouldn't have booked the Kingston cruise and we should have driven half hour up the 401 to Gananoque for a far better experience. When we boarded the boat several people had pre packed lunches and snacks in backpacks and nobody questioned anyone. The Covid protocols on the boat were a joke and provided little to no protection inside, yet outside on the upper deck, with open air, they had limited seating and didn't rope off the proper rows to avoid crowding. It was a pathetic attempt. The entertainment was a guitarist who for the first two hours played the worst slowest elevator music ever. It was so dry and boring. I had never heard any of the songs. The last hour he seemed to kick it up a few notches and played good tunes! The bar tender lady doubled as the "tour guide" / "narrorator" and simply read from a prepared script. She was so dry and stumbled on her words and even read ahead of schedule, telling us about islands or sites we had yet to see. Then. continued to apologize throughout the script for her errors. I felt embarrassed for her. I was so glad when it was over and would never recomend anyone taking this cruise. Go up to the Gananoque!
I thought the food was mediocre for what you pay. We took a window seat for more money. It was nice to have the view but there is scenery on both sides of the boat, so the other side view is somewhat hindered. Also keep in mind that later on in the season, it gets dark sooner, so your scenic view is limited by this. After it gets dark, the only thing you’re left to “enjoy” is the onboard entertainment. We thought it was tacky. However some people seemed to like it (and other reviews reflect this). So depending on your preference, you might be better off to take heart-of-the-islands tour out of Gananoque, then go out for dinner at an upscale restaurant. That would be less money for nicer scenery and potentially better quality food. But if you like the idea of dinner on a moving boat (and you’re not so fussy about food quality), this might do it for you.
3hour heart of islands cruise is a bit boring but definitely worth a visit. I would suggest an hour and half cruise.
Fantastic, best commentary I ever had on a cruise, huge windows, top notch
Went on the wine tasting cruise. Very enjoyable.
Had a great evening on the dinner cruise. Our waiter was incredibly enthusiastic and friendly. The only reason I didnt mark it 5 stars was the wine glasses we received were all a little dirty and one even had lip stick stains on them.
Had a amazing time with my family can't wait to go back thanks
Did not enjoy this cruise at all as there was no description of where we were or what we were seeing. Very disappointing. The sunset was nice
We were going to be in Kingston for a concert in the summer so we looked around for something else to do...this was highly recommended and it did not disappoint! The tour was lots of fun and the weather was perfect! We also learned a great deal about the history of Kingston and the surrounding area!
really nice experience
Very relaxing
Recent went on the 90 minute tour and it was a great time. They have chairs for people to sit in but I don't believe they had enough for everyone so I would advise you get there at least 30 minutes early. The tour itself was very smooth once the boat started moving. The audio playing was charming and informative and the views are spectacular.
Overall we had a positive and fun experience on the sunset cruise. That being said, $9.20 for 1 can of twisted tea is highway robbery.
Amazing experience
Clean, quiet and friendly. What I expect from a tourist friendly city.
Amazing, we had such a great time.
Beautiful scenery, but the tour was really a pre-recorded audio tour. At times it seemed to be out of sync with where we were in the tour. Overall a nice way to get out on the water. If you stand in the front you're likely to get a cool splash too.
Amazing cruise
Best experience ????
Amazing place to watch
Great Experience. We took 3 hour tour and it was amazing. Make sure to take a jacket if you wish to sit on top deck because its cold with wind. Service is great, they arranged social distance for seating. Be there early to avoid rush and to seat where you like.
Didn't like it so much. They hardly showed many islands. It was an hour cruise.
The music was great
We didn't find this cruise worth the money. Other cities offer around $25 and this one asks $35 which is just one hour tour in lake. I found thousand island tower more beautiful because we can see a good view of islands.
I took my grandsons on the 1 hour discovery cruise. It was very informative, but a great trip too. My 3 boys loved it. The Captain was fantastic. My 2 1/2 year old grandson even enjoyed it.
Beautiful day, relaxing cruise.
Cruise ride is nice but when it says 1000 islands- lol don't get too excited. They will not show you all of them but yet good experience.
Hahaha 2 times in a roll ,i love visiting 1000 islands and i always encourage people to visit ,a non has ever regretted visiting, keep it up.
I enjoyed the views and the on board bar and snack bar, but the announcements were spotty.
I love the 1000 islands cruise. Great time during summer. Great view and landscapes. You need to visit at least once in your life if you pass by Gananoque in Ontario. A MUST SEE!!! I highly recommend!!!
Nice cruise
Nice staff, amazing view during the cruise, funny entertainment, Food is not special.
Very great get away
3 Hours Well Spent
Excellent food, gorgeous views, the most entertaining entertainment. This cruise was everything we had hoped for. Would do it again.
Great service, music, food, atmosphere. Very nice will go back again and will recommend to everyone.
“Magical trip” is really a good word to describe this magical trip. It was a beautiful trip. Scene: wonderful Service: nice waiter and fast service. Food: it was ok, not really a shiny point. Fish was salty but lamb rib was good. Environment: if you seat nearby window (which if you buy the premium ticket), air conditioner wind will blow to you. Which is the worst part of this trip. Music and show: billy was talented, don’t want talk about it too much here as you will be waiting for it.
You will not see 1000 islands. It just be a boat cruises. Nothing on the river. It is very expensive. $93 for two adults and two children. The trip takes 1.5 hours. It is a long time because it is boring. Waste time and money. Hated it.
Great little cruise around the harbour. Informative information on historical sites and the area. Staff very friendly. COVID cleaning non-stop was much appreciated.
Great food. Great service. Billy Bridger (host/entertainer) was fantastic.
After a very long time, loved walking around the area and saw the ice rink, kiddos wanted to go but didn't bring skates. Maybe next time.
I would highly recommend this tour, but I would recommend paying for premium seating. Our table was reserved and we were guaranteed a window seat. There were four in our party and one of us was handicapped with a walker. The staff was excellent to her, giving us a table with extra room and not making our party stand in line. The announcer also sang and played guitar. Very entertaining. Our server was very pleasant and on the ball, the food is cooked fresh on the boat and the four course you meal you get with premium seating is delicious with very good entrees and deserts to choose from. We were not charged extra for the choice of deserts as someone posted in another review. The only reason I gave this a four instead of a five is because it doesn't give that great a tour of the islands. There is not much history or details given.
Beautiful you will enjoy the ride and stay!!
We took the short 1 1/2 hour cruise. It was a pleasant experience and we enjoyed the cruise.
It's better to go the cruise at 280 Main St, Gananoque, ON K7G 2M2 the cruise there shows ilands and this one just shown 1 iland rest its waste of money and expensive too other one is just 20 min drive from there but they show you ilands in canada and us as well as castle
A good cruise. One hour is enough.
Amazing experience
Very welcome service and a good entertainment. However, it takes about one hour sailing to get amazing tiny islands
Good views and a nice boat ride for 90 mins
Awesome experience. Courteous staff.
The front-line staff are friendly, so I don't have any issue with them. I am disappointed with the company. On the website, it clearly shows that $50 per person with live entertainment and FIVE COURSE DINNER. When we went on the cruise, THERE WAS NO DINNER. DRINKS & SNACKS ARE NOT INCLUDED and people had to buy expensive snacks/drinks from them if they wanted to eat/drink. Why are you lying, @1000islandcruises? I need an answer. If you guys are planning to take this cruise, bring your own food & drinks.
A bit boring to be honest, way too far a drive. The redeeming point was Kingston.
Usually great staff and very professional cruise service. Live entertainment is a great addition as well.
Go for the meal. It's divine.
3rd time we have taken this cruise and we have thoroughly enjoyed it each time. The food, the staff and the entertainer are all good. Billy, the entertainer, makes the cruise a lot of fun.
You can choose your trip around the islands, according to your budget and your time available. It's nice, beautiful and easy!
Thoroughly enjoyed the sunset dinner cruise. Excellent food, excellent wait staff, live music was terrific!
An amazing experience! I ❤️ Kingston
it was a great time. My family really enjoyed it. The food was ok also. The servers were very good.
i higely recomend the families to come visit this place it is really beautifull spot gir picnick ....
We were taken on the lunch cruise and had a very good meal with great service.
hmm... So it kind of good ....its good first few minutes bthen it becomes a bit boring...
We were supposed to take the lunch cruise aboard the Island Star at 12:30pm. We left Toronto 7:30 am and stopped to buy a quick breakfast at onroute but as per GPS we will be arriving about 11am but as of a sudden they close the 401 highway from Napanee and has to take the side road with so much traffic. I did called them ahead in advance but they cannot do anything about it and they won't refund us the money. We arrived 1pm and spoke to the manager but they can only give us a sightseing tour that day. We are frustrated coz we came with 2 tourist with us and we don't want our trip to go to waste. They just don't care as long as they already got your money. We ended up getting the dining cruise and paid a lot of money for it. The Dining cruise is a joke! The food is ordinary and after 8pm we cannot see anything outside coz the light inside the room is reflecting on the window. What a waste of money and time.
Over sold. First come first serve basis seats. Arrive really early to get good seats. If possible get seats on left side for view.
My 2.5 hours cruise experience at this place was awesome. Bold Palace is worth seeing. Kingston is a beautiful city.
I found it quite boring. But if you like to learn some American history that is a good choice.
We really enjoyed this relaxing cruise. Views were lovely, dinner and service were excellent. There was an ongoing commentary, but on the dinner deck -2nd level- the noise of the boat makes it impossible to hear. Later in the cruise we could hear a solo entertainer singing on lower deck. For those who are not physically able to go up a flight of stairs, and they are very steep stairs, I did overhear the crew offering to serve a patron dinner on the lower - water level - deck. This is also the level the washrooms are on. They could easily turn this into a 2-2.5 hour cruise, we felt 3 hours was a bit too long. I'd recommend this to friends for a twist on dinner out.
A good place to enjoy and have fun
Beautiful scenery and the Boldt Castle was a great stop. Snacks, beer and drinks on board. Must try the Spicy Caesar!
Lunch cruise was great. Entertainment was good, at times not the greatest. Overall, great experience
The cruise was fun, however, the website does not specify that some seats are NOT window seats and the staff will place people in order of ticket purchase. Unfortunately could not enjoy my 100$ cruise because of this, could have had the same experience in a regular restaurant. Although all of the staff was friendly, the host CONNOR was extremely condescending, uncooperative and inattentive to our desire to have a window seat. Will NOT be recommending this cruise.
Enjoyed the cruise as friends wanted that but I feel a chopper ride would give the real feel of thousand islands
Nice, great "tour" and superb entertainment by Billy Bridger. Food was fresh and hot when needed to be.
Loved the cruise. Great hospitality from the crew
Lovely cruise
Went on the 3 hour lunch cruise with my wife for our anniversary. Definitely not worth the money. After boarding it took our waitress almost half an hour to come take our drink order, then another 10 or so minutes for them to arrive. At the point our drink order was taken, every other table had ordered and received their drinks. My wife's wine glass had stuff floating in it so we asked for another. Finally after another 10/15 minutes she got her wine. Charcuterie board that was part of our 'premium' ticket was skimpy and had clearly been sitting out for a while. I didn't eat my salad since I tried to pick out all the parts that had gone bad and wilted, but I finally gave up after I had removed half my salad. Waitress didn't write down our order when she took it, and brought my wife fish instead of the veggie burger she ordered. So I ate my lunch while it was warm, and she didn't get her food until after I had finished. My wife doesn't drink a lot of wine so isn't up on all the flavour profiles and thought her wine tasted a bit off from what she had ordered, but it was still OK so she drank it and ordered another glass. Our waitress said she felt bad so the second glass was on the house. When we read the bill, we noticed she definitely got the wrong wine as well which is why my wife thought it tasted odd. I ordered a coffee to have with my dessert, and it was stone cold. The dessert cheesecake was good though. Wait staff came around before the bills came and were asking that we tip based on the cost of our tickets in total, not on just our drinks we ordered. Something about that seemed a bit off to me. Views were nice, but not enough to make up for everything else. Would not recommend the expensive lunch cruise. Just get one of the normal tickets and bring your own food or get some snacks from the canteen on the first deck.
Took the 90 min tour. The tour was great the content was great the staff was great. But as can be expected at any tourist activity there was a bunch of no English speaking visitors. WHICH RUINED THE WHOLE TRIP AS THEY SPOKE AND CARRIED ON LOUD NON ENGLISH OR FRENCH CONVERSATIONS!!! and that's fine no one said they have to listen to the audio but this being my second time in this tour I was hoping for a better experience. In short my only suggestion is that maybe have a staff member make an announcement to respect people trying to enjoy the audio tour as this was never said.
Was amazed to see how beautiful was the 1000 slands. The cruise with sightseeing and dining is a must. You won' t regret it People are very kind also.
What I was hoping for was a quiet wine and brunch Cruise. what I got was an annoyingly loud cover band that just would not stop and a schoolbus load of 15 year olds on a day trip. Bad luck I guess. 3 hours of noise although a beautiful view. It just did not kind of work.
Was fun walking around in 24 degree weather...love the shops and the beers.
Dockside Dining Experience Pros: *Nice to sit aboard the boat and look out at the water and eat your meal. (Boat does not move due to covid) *Garlic butter and warm buns were delicious *Salad~ leafy greens, strawberries, blueberries, goat cheese, balsamic vinaigrette was very good. * Staff are wonderful and friendly Cons: * It was very cold onboard the boat. We were the only ones eating at 6:00 and the air and fans were blowing full blast. The manager did turn it down but our meal was almost done. *The main dish~1) Salmon, veggies and quinoa rice dish. The salmon was raw inside, bland and underwhelming. There was a garlic sauce on top but it did not add any flavour. 2) Quarter Chicken with apricot and brie, roasted potatoes, broccoli and carrots. My chicken was bland too. It could have really used some gravy. It was not seasoned at all. If they could tweak a few things~more flavour, more seasoning, some lovely sauces and gravy~it could be a 5 star restaurant.
Loved the trip.
The sunset dinner cruise on the Island star was a unique and memorable night. From the breathtaking views, relaxing, beautiful venue with 360 degree view, Interesting local historical commentary, three course dinner and attentive service. The Captain Aaron and first mate Alex were very personable. The entertainer host Billy Bridger was the highlight of the cruise. It was more than just music and hilarious comedy. That is mostly because he is a one-of-a-kind entertainer who knows what it takes to make any crowd happy. His show revolves around impersonating famous pop culture personalities, hilarious comedy, Humourous puppets and musical impressions as well as he played a wide variety of requests made us feel like the cruise was personalized for us. Billy was very interactive with the crowd, friendly and personable. He kept it exciting and we were on the edge of our seats waiting to see what he was going to come up with next. Our evening was filled with great entertainment, exceptional service, delicious dinner, captivating sunset views, dancing and contagious laughs. Highly recommend to locals and tourists! One of the best cruises I've been on!!!
Amazing place to visit with many different attractions and food to choose from, also an experience to remember for years to come.
I was expecting more. First half hour tour was fine and we were close to the islands and sightseeing. However in the way back we were so far from shore and we couldn't see much. I should say audio commentary was nice and I learned a lot. We drove all the way from Toronto to having tour in 1000 island this tour wasn't impressive. I suggest to take 3 hours tour rather that 90 min tour. Don't forget to have proper clothing. It really windy on the deck.
Always fun Along the years I've been on more than a few lunch and dinner cruises, with friends or family and we enjoyed it every time. Good entertainment, drinks and food, nice people. Will go again
Well worth the trip! Felt very safe.
Thoroughly enjoyable, food was excellent and catered for dietary requirements. Well worth the upgrade for a window seat. Tour entertainment was fun and enjoyable.
Lovely boat ride .. guide was very knowledgeable. No food but popcorn to purchase which was extremely over priced!!!
Amazing place to visit
It's real good place to be unfortunately i don't have pic
My fiance and I went on the 90min lunch cruise. It was amazing. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Beautiful views of the islands especially on the top deck. Entertainment had some good laughs. Highly recommended.
It was so very fortuitous.
Beautiful. Boat needs a face lift but all and all lovely.
It's a no from me. It was incredibly cold and well a bit boring. We thought we missed out because we were too late for the 3 hour tour, but looking back I am glad we did. The audio is a recording and on our trip it wasn't in sync with the tour so when things were pointed out in the audio it wasn't in sight for us for a couple of more minutes
Thank you Tom. Enjoyable cruise!
So beautiful, can’t wait to go back. The food was pretty good. I just think that the setting for entertainment could have been a little better.
Amazing
The cuisine is terrible. The life entertainment makes you sleepy. Not good overall.
3 hours is a bit long but was very beautiful and amazing. Highly recommended, go early to get good seats.
It was my wife and I's 31st wedding anniversary so I decided to surprise her with a 1000 Islands Dinner Cruise. We had an amazing time. The food was excellent and the service was exceptional. The entertainment was second to none with Billie Bridger. He had us in stitches all evening playing guitar, singing and dressing up in some great costumes to match the songs for the show. He was also our tour guide with a very good knowledge of Kingston and the 1000 Islands History. We wouldn't hesitate to re-book another tour on the Island Star catamaran boat for a second dinner cruise.
Great service, music and food! The sunset cruise brings spectacular views! This is a worthwhile experience I highly recommend.
I don't really recommend coming in October since weather is possibly more prone to rain. Being on the upper deck while in the rain wasn't a pleasant experience. A good way to mitigate this is by having a rain poncho.
Its a great experience to go in the cruise around the islands.would be even more fun if they a full day package with couple of stopovers at some important locations along the ride.
Lovely experience. Really breathtaking sights and excellent choice of music. Musicians were talented and really funny as well and took requests. Great place for photography. Loved it.
Friendly stuff and good service. Definitely give it a try when you visit Kingston. Good for family with kids and solo travelers!!
Really great cruise. Very informative!
One of the my best experiences in Kingston city, staff are so energetic the food menu was nice and the music made it even better ????
Really interesting history contain in within in these 1800 islands. Little pieces of Paradise every where
Nice trip, people were very friendly. Everything OK.
Awesome place..Fun activities. Cruise.
I booked a 90 min cruise for myself and my mother. Perfect day and weather and from what we could hear from the recorded narrator it was informative. I'm rating it as ok because parents who brought children on board let them run around yelling, up and down the stairs and we couldn't hear much, not the cruise's fault but made me think twice of booking a cruise again because of selfish parents who don't respect others.
It was hard to hear at times. Took in the spectacular views to make up for it.
I took my parents on the cruise and we all loved it. We did find the food choices a bit limited (we were on the brunch tour) but the service was great, the presentation was lovely and we all have wonderful memories of the tour.
It was great experience with my friends, I really enjoyed whole journey I don’t know about the food but it was amazing to watch so beautiful places on way
I was expecting to see the 1000 islands as the name suggests but the tour for 1 hour was that of the Kingston harbour. I could see the same from my hotel. The name is so misleading. I later learnt that I should have booked the cruise from Rockport where there is more to see like the Boldt castle and many islands. Disappointed with the experience. :(
I had the opportunity to enjoy the dinner sunset cruise on Thursday July 4th and I had the most amazing experience. I actually attended the cruise alone and still was able to mingle with others and take so many pictures. The sunset was incredible, the entertainment was hilarious and the food was good. If you're visiting Kingston, I highly encourage you to do the Sunset Cruise and see Kingston from another angle.
We had a good time. Very informative. My only suggestion is to dress warm. The wind off the lake makes it a little chilly.
Wel... It was NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE I booked 4 tickets online and reached the site office before 1 hour for the 3 hour Cruise Trip starting at 12.30 pm and after picking up tickets we went to market just 2 intersection away from that office While returning back we were stuck in the "TRAFFIC" CAUSED BY A PARADE organised by local people which ran over 20 minutes and I had to force my guests to walk on the street to reach the DOCK IN TIME because when I called the office they refuse to hold on the departure of the cruise for few more minutes I had to cancel my one ticket over the phone before the Cruise depart i.e. 12.30 pm and replace it with 1.00 pm Cruise for 1.5 hour trip WITHOUT REFUND OF DIFFERENCE IN 3 HR AND 1.5 HR TRIP Whole spirit of enjoyment and fun with FAMILY was DISAPPEARED My suggestion is either they should CHANGE IN SCHEDULE WHILE SUCH PARADE IS ORGANISED OR ALLOW LATE COMERS TO MANAGE IN TRAFFIC CONGESTION AND REACH THE CRUISE DOCK OR Consider refund if customer is not interested in NEXT TRIP OR Consider REFUND OF DIFFERENCE OF CRUISE FEE Another important thing happened while I was asking for OPTIONS above to the CSR in the booking office, the MANAGER INTERFERE IN THE CONVERSATION IN A "VERY RUDE MANNER" SAYING THERE IS NO REFUND IF YOU MISS THE CRUISE Quoting the rules and refund policies I protested against his INAPPROPRIATE APPROACH AND MANNER OF CUSTOMER SERVICE but that had DESTROYED ALL MY EXCITEMENT FOR HAVING FUN AT THOUSAND ISLAND I will definitely think TWICE BEFORE GOING TO THOUSAND ISLAND Whether to GO or NOT? PUNISHED FOR NO FAULT!
The cost for a 3 hour cruise which is the Island Queen III which is 45$ tax is expensive. The Cruise is dirty especially the washrooms. The tour is not as good as I expected. We just literally sit for 3 hours in boredom. In the other hand, the Islands shown were pretty awesome.
Perfect experience and very convinient.
The sunset dinner cruise was excellent. The tour around the islands, very informative. The dinner- excellent. I had the rack of lamb -awesome. Billy Bridger’s music/comedy show had everyone in stitches. We are definitely going back.
Along with an out-of-town guest who was celebrating a special birthday we took the Sunset Cruise on the evening of Saturday August 21, 2021. we were seated on the upper deck behind a couple from Vancouver Island who were travelling through eastern Canada. To our great surprise, after initial announcements regarding crew and life vests, there was no further commentary regarding the places on shore which we were passing. As locals we were able to pass on what information we knew. Commentary by staff would have greatly enhanced the experience for our guest and the folks from B.C. Perhaps next season?
Had a great time on their sunset cruise!
At first it’s a wondered Journey. The weather is good n there is a lovely recording introducing where we are n it’s stories behind . 10 minutes later the voice of the recording turned quiet n I can hardly heard a complete message. I have asked the crew if they can turn the voice up but no one cares nor did they told us that we can have a headphone to listen to. the sight seeing was completely ruined
Honestly pretty boring ride, only highlight is Boldt Castle.
Hidden along the coast of Kingston, Ontario are these treasures, exotic little islands - some with only a single house! You must visit! It's like visiting an entirely different country!
Had an amazing time on this cruise with my company yesterday! Food was great, boat staff were friendly and the views were amazing!
Super fun outing!
I did the 3 hour scenic cruise with a group of 4. I found this cruise to be overbooked. The average age demographic on the cruise was 60+ and there were quite a few people with mobility issues that needed a place to sit. I think it is unacceptable for a 3 hour cruise catering to this demographic to not provide seating for everyone on board. The band was entertaining, but there was not enough seating for people to enjoy them. The food on board at the canteen was extremely over priced. For example, $4 for a mediocre slice of pizza. They don’t allow outside food or drink on the boat. I found the commentary on board to be irritating and innappropriate at times, especially in regards to indigenous peoples. The cruise itself was only interesting for about 45 minutes out of the 3 hours, as you spend most of the time travelling to and from the islands listening to irritating commentary, and only see the islands for about 45 minutes. I would be interested to know if anyone does this tour more than once.
Only enjoyed about 45 minutes of this 3 hour cruise as this was the only time we were within the thousand islands. The rest of the cruise was boring being on a wide river. Recommend taking a cruise out of Gananoque.More bang for the buck. Commentary prerecorded was cheesy and politically incorrect in particular the references to indigenous cultures. Further too much corny live music. Not the musicians fault but poor choice of songs. It is okay to have quiet sometimes by the end of the cruise the pop music was a bit much.
Great experience touring the many islands via the boat tour.
Nice cruise but I wish we saw a few more islands. Just strolled the Harbour. Informative and friendly staff!
Great boat cruise and meal.
We took the 90 minute tour and it was a wonderful activity for a beautiful summer day. It was very crowded though and difficult to find seats or drinks.
Loved the fall scenery. Had an excellent time. Excellent value for the money. Would go again.
Great cruise with family!! On board commentry was the best!
We had a really good time. Dinner was very good! The service was great and the waitress was spot on. We were treated very respectfully.
The view was spectacular. Entertainment was nice too.
Waste of money . They will show u places which u can pretty much cover by walk .
We spent 17 hours round trip traveling to Kingston to do the penitentiary tour. We planned on going to Wolf Island (a free trip), but after talking to several locals decided to spend the money on this instead. So glad we did!! Will definitely do this again next time we visit.
Boring We only saw the one island. Then we saw the kingston harbour which all that i can see from my hotel. We paid for something i can see from my balcony or i can walk to it. I don’t recommend the cruise. You not going to really see anything
So good
Cruise was great. The food on the lunch cruise wasn't that great.
Wonderful place to visit and enjoy the beauty of nature
Fantastic experience. Was a really romantic cruise.
The booking agent was very helpful when i had to cancel my first booking and re-schedule it. On board the cruise, the live music was great and the food tasted really good. It so happened that it was raining on the day that we took the cruise but we sailed smoothly. The only reason i am giving it a 4 star is because we felt disappointed with the service when we ordered our drinks, we got on board sooner than other couples, we ordered before them but our drinks were the last to be served this is after 15 minutes or so later. My boyfriend had to order for his second drink halfway through the first one just in case it will take that long again for the second drink to be served. Otherwise, all is well!
It was so great. Spencer sung so many nice songs . Amazing experience ????
Good food and very nice ambiance! I have been on two lunch cruises and each of them was very nice! The staff is very friendly as well
Felt like going on a mini vaca!
A pleasant, no rush trip through the near Kingston islands. Clean vessel, lovely staff with a great sense of humour, and smooth light entertainment. Thanks for a mild sunny day!
Ok for a leasurely boat tour. Did just the 90 min tour and was semi bored but nice scenery. The running recorded commentary is a bit cheesy.
Nice boat ride
Very poor service all around. we took a lunch cruise and it took 2.5 hours to get our food although we paid for "premium seating" also the food was cold once we got it and there were dead bugs around take. Save your 83 dollars per person definitely not worth the money.
Awesome, nice entertainment. Washrooms on board were clean. Food was good, service was great.
It was a great time weather was fantastic would go back again.
Beautiful waterfront area in Kingston
I love the cruise ride..... awesome to see through
Beautiful secinic 3 hour trip in st Laurence river.... recommend.
If you never been to thousand island this is a must do. However, I’d say this cruise is overpriced and the boat itself could be maintained/cleaned/renovated better.
Love it!!
It was a waste of money. Never again! Too over booked with people. An incident took place & it was not handled properly. Everyone was trying to breath through their hands. Gagging. Men were pulling their t shirts up over their mouths to try & get away from the stench. The longest 3 hrs I ever spent. My husband contacted them in regards to & never heard back from them. It was a real S..t show!
Good tour
Great experience for 1 time, once is just enough.
Over hyped according to me. But its good for one time watch
Me and my family had a great time and the entertainment was very good. Boat was nice and couldn't believe how great the dinner was. Thanks.
Amazing experience. I would recommend to everyone to take the 3 hour cruise and enjoy the scenery. Staff is Amazing. Roger keeps everyone entertained with his music and Andrew behind the Canteen counter is also very lively.
Other than the super loud commentary by Sir John A MacDonald, tour was really informative and nice. Was on the Isle Belle.
Amazing experience !
The sights are amazing! But there was no sits ... And not really easy to go with children or babies. They have a bar and I was not impressed with the food
Nice to just roam around, but should have something more to do, see or explore...!
Very nice Ferry and tour around Kingston's historic district.
Kingston cruise is friendly and provides service in multiple languages. If you are looking for a good sight seing view of kingston then its for you Prices do not include ferry
Nice views and perfect place for summer
Aydan’s service and kindness was beyond commendable. After a tragic event that left us late for our cruise, he was empathetic and extremely professional. The compassion we were greeted with made a world of differences. Thank you so much Aydan.
Bring extra cash for over priced bottle of wine
Great Cruse, beautiful sceneries, good service, much fun while on board.
The trip, music and staff were great! The food...it spoilt the experience. The salad was stale. Lettuce leaves were not fresh. We ordered 3 different items: none tasted good. The kids could not even eat the burger! We ended up buying pop corn and snacks from the first floor to substitute for lunch. I'd repeat the tour...but I will never book the lunch cruise.
Wonderful evening cruise, great scenery, good service, tasty food and a fun entertainer. All round good value.
The 1-hour cruise doesn't take you between the smaller, beautiful islands... The crew is very nice, but overall the trip is nothing really special. Definitely go for a longer cruise.
The food was absolutely terrible. Too crowded and the entertainment needs better speakers. The service was ok, they should really organize the food according to the table orders, that way everyone at the table has the food in the same time. The appetizers were cold but ok. The main course (3 options) was terrible. The mushroom garnish was the worst thing I ever tasted. The view was great, but you can go on a regular sunset cruise without the terrible food. I will not recommend this. Spend your money on a regular cruise of the islands and get a decent meal at a regular restaurant ( so many options in the city).
Purchased the lunch buffet option. We're glad we did as we had room & comfortable seats (as opposed to the general seating area). A couple reasons for not a 5-star review: the website is a pain to navigate - too many clicks to find the information you're looking for, there was no map of the route on board (I took a picture from another passenger's brochure they picked up the tourist office), the food buffet was ok but weird that there was no fish option (also it's not particularly vegetarian or vegan friendly) and the narration of the cruise is cheesy and could do with an update.
It was beautiful. I loved the historical information given on the tour.
Enjoyed the trip and the meal. Missed the entertainment that was provided pre-COVID.
Very interesting to hear the Canadian history as the boat passed historical landmarks. Snack bar somewhat lacking in variety but good to have over a two hour cruse.
We had been looking forward to this cruise and it would have been lovely had there not been noisy, rowdy children on the boat who prevented us from hearing the commentary and hence spoiled the experience. Perhaps adults-only times could be offered in the future.
Great food, amazing staff and a fun time!
Good
Excellent service and atmosphere! Love to do this again!
Really nice tour through an amazing landscape. The best thing is the audio commentary
The cruise was PHENOMENAL. Came here with my family and friend on vacation and went on the three hour dinner cruise with fireworks. The tour was amazing, the food was great and our Host the amazing Billy Bridger made the night truly unforgettable. First off the man is both talented and hilarious and he even took pictures with many of the guests including us and we just had to buy some of his albums (which were also amazing by the way seriously the man has talent). The views were stunning and the fireworks were picture perfect to end the night on the best note. The rooftop terrasse of the boat was a fun experience as well. We will certainly be back and Billy, You're the man!
Good
Loved it, was very informative and wonderful
Cruise experience was amazing! We loved the beautiful sunset, the views and entertaining musicians! Highly recommend it!
Enjoyed the cruise, except there were 2 persons that had one too many.
Awesome tourist attractions.... definitely everyone should take the cruises to see those beautiful islands.. I took 3 hour cruise which had lunch menu with additional price.
The hospitality was excellent. The food was delicious. The drinks were tasty. The view was scenic and amazing. It was an amazing experience all around. I highly recommend going on this tour to see the Kingston 1000 Islands! ????
The boat went around in a circle and then docked...a real waste of time and money.
Awesome experience! Friendly crew, nice entertainment on board, gorgeous view. Highly recommend it for a great weekend getaway.
Absolutely wonderful! Options for time length, day time or evening. With dinner or not. Also three different ships. Best view ever!
Very nice and relaxed boat trip (1.5 hours) trough the beautiful Thousand Islands. I can't understand the bad comments. My family and me had just a nice time with lovely views of all the tiny islands. I definitely recommend it.
Nobody told us that 90% of the trip was only to get to the interesting part (the smalls islands). 2:40h just wasting our time. They try to entertain us with animation... the guy is not a comedian... more annoying than entertaining. No place to sit outside. Go to Gananoque or Brockville instead. Waste of time and money.
Great afternoon on the water. The commentary was great, the entertaining was superb. We took the meal package, the food was great. Worth the money! Our server Simon was one of a kind, absolutely wonderful.
The Sunset Dinner cruise was nice, We paid the premium price in order to get the window seats and also got an appetizer brought to our table. This cost $244 tax included, but not the drinks and tips. the food was good, you did get a choice of 5 main entrees and 3 good deserts. however the live entertainment was so loud we couldn't talk to anyone at our table. We were the first seats right by the entertainer and the speakers, so definitely hard to chat. The wait staff had to constantly get in close just to ask or answer questions. They really need to do a sound level check. The entertainer was good and very friendly, he also had some good information about the area. But again it was so loud made the cruise almost not worth the price. It seems to be getting a bit too pricey. If you're going to go make sure you plan on a sunny day/eve. You don't really need the window seats when you can go to the upper deck to get some nice photos of the islands.
Its a good experiance for first time boaters. There are no ship wracks shown its just the tape that keeps playing in the background.
Exceptional experience! If you are travelling from Toronto to Quebec or the other way around, stop at 1000 Islands! We got the 5 hours tour and it was especial!
Lovely 3 hour cruise with musical entertainment and local history.
I love the scenery but I remember seeing a castle on one of the islands last time I went on a tour. Kind of disappointed I didn't see it this time around.
worst cruises i ever hade i mean its just simple ride on boat which just takes you to the middle of lake and take back. is just name 1000 island you want see a single island and price is sky high they even charge you for infants and toddlers 40$plus tax for just 1 hr useless ride which takes you no where. save money better go somewhere. i will recommend rockport or gananoque if you want to experience 1000 island.
The crew were very friendly and helped me to get my stroller on and off the boat. We did the 1 hour cruise which was the perfect length for 2 young kids.
Great enjoyed very much. Food is delicious. Desert upgrade was not worth. Also if you are thinking of puchasing gifts keep the tickets you can get $5 discount
A must when visiting Kingston. Beautiful landscape and historical significance.
It was bit boring as the cruise does nt stop anywhere and by the end of the 3rd hour everyone is eager to get off the cruise. Old cruise ship which could hv been new.. good thing was one old singer who did his job perfect.
horrible experience. The cruise staffs were so rude and we were made to sit together despite not being a family. Instead of going with this cruise there are many other cruise lines that are much cheaper and nicer.
Must go for your if you are around the area. Two pieces of advice 1. Book your tour in advance 2. Go after 5pm. This is the best way to enjoy your tour.
We took the 3 hour tour this fall and the autumn colours were stunning. Great photo opportunities along the way.
Took the Lunch Cruise. Overall was very good.
Great entertainment and a great cruise. You can sit at your table and enjoy the entertainer or head up to the top deck and enjoy a nice peaceful view of the islands.
first week of september, we book the sunset cruise and were very disappointed as the cruise sailed exactly after the sunset was gone so basically for what we pay (not so cheap) it was useless... i bet it would have been beautiful but once the sun was gone it was all dark so we couldn't really see anything. lucky there's a bar in the first floor and so we were able to make the time pass but again very disappointed. for a tourist attraction like that they should be better organized of when the sunset is and what time to leave. in the future i would book again for a cruise in kingston but daytime to see better the surrounding.
What an amazing cruise! It was such a beautiful day! The food was great, and Billy Bridger was very entertaining!
I honestly don’t even know where to start. Upon boarding we were informed by our server that “due to COVID-19” you have to stay in your seats unless using the washroom. So, we were one of the first few on people on and as the boat continued to fill my claustrophobia began to set in. Unfortunately, we were one of the few that were sat at tables crammed in the middle aisle of the boat. People were walking past on both sides and no windows were open. I had notified my server of my claustrophobia and stated I may have to walk up to the top deck for air. She stated she would open some windows, which she then never did. I continued to sit while my anxiety grew stronger. There was no air flow and the boat was filled with burnt popcorn smell. I finally got up and spoke with the supervisor and stated I was quite uncomfortable. He was unhelpful and said to let him know if/when I need a bag and if needed I could stand on the top. I sat back down and finally burst into tears. Full blown anxiety attack in which my partner helped me to the top deck for air. After settling, we noted there were two empty tables near the windows. Those tables were then offered to other guests whom were sitting at tables in the middle. The lack of concern was evident. I would have never booked had I known the dining area would be crammed in the middle aisle. (Premium seats were not offered at this date) Food was ok. Super small portions and appetizers & dessert were different from the provided menu. Sitting in the middle tables you couldn’t see out very well, let alone hear the music/commentary through the speakers. This should not be advertised as a “1000 islands cruise” as it’s far from it. It should be a Kingston Cruise… you only go as far as Gananoque. HUGE Waste of money - worst birthday celebration yet.
Much recommended to take 3 hours boat ride. Really nice
Pretty neat, guide was knowledgeable and interesting. Lots to see but a little slow after a while.
We took the brunch morning cruise for about 3 hrs. It was a great experience with awesome food and music.
I enjoyed this 3-hours cruise a lot in the 1000 Islands. This cruise was very informative, thanks to Tyson who did an amazing job at being a tour guide and playing an amazing some amazing songs at the guitar ????. The views during the cruise were gorgeous and would highly recommend for a day trip or two in Kingston!
I didn't take the tour. I just have the dinner on board. It was a great experience
Great cruise overall. The captain was funny and informed everyone about the sights along the way.
Had a great time. Entertainment was good. Food was okay but could have been hoter. Very scenic boat ride around the Islands.
Love it!!!
Took the sunset cruise on the Island Queen boat. Was on the upper deck and it was a wonderful experience. At 1.5 hours it was just the right amount of time on board. The captain was very friendly as were the girls who served at the 2 bars and also provided very upbeat commentary about some historical sites. Once we settled in, on came the yacht rock channel (sirius xm radio) and we enjoyed the view. Seating was ok as we sat up front on the right facing seats. I wouldn't advise that if you're looking for a quite spot as everyone storms upfront to take pictures which made our "date night" of peace away from the kids a little less than we hoped for lol. After about 45 mins people finally stopped crowding us and we enjoyed a bit of peace for the last half of the cruise. So, enjoy a bench seat...maybe near the back if you don't want people standing all around you There is a seat on the top deck right in front of the captions control room looking forward. The lower deck is at water level and has window seats with tables which is quite if you don't want to be outside. All and all it was a memorable experience and would recommend this. P.S if you want a good seat you should arrive early as you have to line up to board. First on gets the best seat choices as they are not reserved when you buy your tickets.
Great cruise.
Pleasanr 90 minutes Cruise to discover the 1000 Islands. Comfortable boat.
The boat cruise was beautiful and the meal was delicious. Our wait staff was attentive and professional. The one note of difference was the bartender who spent time maskless, talking about how he worked the previous 7 days, discussed who had posted what on social media and how he spent one recent shift arguing via text with a girl, until one waitstaff asked him to wear his mask. Everything else was fantastic and I would recommend this company and tour wholeheartedly.
The staff at the ticket wicket were awesome in explaining the KPass, how it worked and booking the included options that needed tickets.
I liked this boat agency.Alot of activities near it,and lots of delicious food places near it.Though if you are looking to go on a boat, book the boat online a few days before the boat trip because they are very limited.Overall good area for a nice cruise and food.
Had a great time it was 3 hours long and well worth the tickets
It was OK. We did the 2.5 hours tour and it was a bit boring. We expect a lot more information, maybe from a live guide, but all they offer is some audio information at a few interesting places along the way with long boring periods in between. It is OK to do it once, but I would not do it again.
Great place to learn more about our Canadian history. Love visiting city of Kingston. It's a clean city and great for tourism.
Very nice place to have supper, the route almost 3 hours, from evening to night, nice music and food.
A very enjoyable cruise, and the River Rats made it that much better.
Good trip with nice knowledge of history and some unknown spooky facts.
Very nice dinner with big band music and boat tour of the 1000 islands
It was wonderful with my family
Cool
We loved it.
Crew is extremely rude! I won’t recommend this cruise!
Great cruise!!!! Beautiful islands full of greenery. Bolts Castle was my favourite island.
Will definitely go back..for a boat ride.
I joined the 1 hr tour, nice view but not much to see. should join the 2.5hr tour.
Overall the cruise was nice but we took the latter of the bunch and it ended up dark early and started to rain. It became a long dreary ride back with everyone stuffed into the main floor. If you are interested in the ride take it in the day and pick a day there is no rain in the forecast. Please like this review if you read it. Thank you and have fun.
Not what I expected...3 hours of boring music, just around the water? Far from the islands ... if you want to go for a ride in the water just do the 90 min..3 hr is too long...unless you want to go for a nap.
So much fun! Billy the entertainer was fabulous! Chris our server was awesome! Our captains Lee and Tristan were funny and loved chatting with guests which was so nice. Food was very tasty!
A group of 6 of us attended early afternoon cruise on July 29, 2019. We were celebrating a friend's 60th birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Billy Bridger was an outstanding entertainer. Many laughs and great music. Will defintely be recommending to others. The food was good and drinks cold. Thank you to Billy Bridger and Kingston 1000 Islands Cruise for a truly memorable time.
We went on the Island Belle one hour cruise was very nice cruise not too long perfect for children because it’s only an hour so they won’t get bored, very informative crew were excellent did not get any beverages or snacks so I don’t know the prices for that, I had a good time and fun for all.
Great lunch and interesting view.
Great views of the islands and a history lesson. It was a really hot day and they handed out free water while we waited in line. ????
Beautiful scenery and lovely place to visit with friends and family
So this is best and reliable tour in this hood. I liked the 3hr tour takea you all the way inside the thousand islands. Everything is on time and you better book in advance on long weekends.
It was a wonderful tour, but we should have got there earlier to get a seat on the top deck. With every other bench blocked off for social distancing, we had to go down to the lower deck.
Beautiful sights and learned alot of the history of Canada. Really makes you appreciate our country. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Boat was clean and food was ok.
We took 3pm discovery cruise, It was a good experience. And I love the narrator, he was really funny and informative. ????
Great experience but we could not get seat on board. They should sale ticket as per seat availability
Everything was good, the boat, the service. It was just a little bit boring. The only thing i didn't like was the recorded explanations on the speakers, it was slightly too much at some points of the tour.
No service on the phone. calleed three times and left messages and still no call back.
Good place to see tiny islands.Safety is given first priority.Nice place to enjoy the nature's beauty
Amazing night, great service, but they really pack the tables in! It was hard to get up without disturbing half a dozen people around me.
Imagine world on the boat ???? thousands Island
An overall wonderful experience. The only complaint is that the vegetarian option was bland and needs improvement. We did a lunch cruise with a premium table, and got a good window table. The service and entertainment were excellent.
It is ok for week days , weekends alot of people comes but nice for picnic
Amazing homes .. private islands for the super rich.
Loved it!! Very well organized and lots of fun.
not bad for 90 mins ride with family and friends
The Sunset Dinner cruise was nice, the food was good, however the live entertainment was so loud we couldn't talk to anyone at our table. The wait staff had to constantly get in close just to ask or answer questions. They really need to do a sound level check. The entertainer was good and very friendly, he also had some good information about the area. But again it was so loud made the cruise almost not worth the price.
Great way to have a nice view of Kingston! The trip last about an hour and the view is very relaxing and enjoyable.
It was a fantastic 3 hours of fun good food & entertainment It was our 40 anniversary enjoyed every minute of the cruise Thank you for a great time Denis & Ginette Lafontaine
Good food, staff was incredibly friendly, loved the music. Amazing and unique night out - worth every penny. Very reasonable for a 3 hour night out on the water. Hoping to do this trip every summer now
Good environment, well trained staff. But there was live music the all trip. It was just too loud that we weren’t able to talk to each other. Not recommended of you are looking for a peaceful day to explore the islands.
Phenomenal place to just relax and disconnect for a few to enjoy the scenery!
Took the tour that lasts about an hour. Understand all other tours that are of more time allotment are not operating due to covid restrictions. The hour long tour only gives you a view of Kingston skyline and a bit of the island around it. I wish we saw more islands or they should change the name to Kingston harbour tour instead of 1000 Island. Unfair to only be able to see 2-3 islands that one can even see when standing at the harbour.
Atmosphere nice, waiter great, food was scrumptious and plenty... And it didn't break the bank - going back!
I am really impress and I can say great place for family getaway. Amazing cruise experience. We had a great fun time, relaxing together with the kids. Two thumbs up for this experience.
The cruise was very delightful. All staff members were kind and professional. Entertainment was on point. The scenery was spectacular. Due to COVID, they kept on sanitizing all the railing during the cruise, everyone had their masks on, which made us feel very comfortable.
Kingston is a worth seeing place. Our cruise 2.5 hours experience was fabulous
Worth watching!
Everything was good on Island Queen lunch cruise until "live" music has started. I don't think they should force all 3 decks to listen to it. The guy was so loud and annoying! I could see other people covering their ears too. They should limit that kind of entertainment to 1 deck. And give people on board some choice.
Very nice cruise to take photos and know more about Canada and the united states
Went for a Mother's Day cruise & it WAS and IS the worst experience of my life. Food was inedible and the staff argued with me when I could clearly show them I paid extra for a antipasto platter. Finally the chef 'allowed' us to have it. Slow service. Only good thing was there was an excellent musician on board. Complained to the company with little communication back. We dropped 700$ for this absurd different thing to try and it sucked.
Country 93.5 first Cruise of the summer on the island queen. Awesome. Saw Kyle Dunn and The Marauders. The Best station is Country 93.5.
We got married on the Island Star. Was amazing! - staff, food, atmosphere...cant recommend enough
The Cruise was good but the food needs serious improvement.
I was fun with family
Lovely cruise! The entertainment was fabulous, the staff were super friendly (particularly our server Gillian) and the food was excellent. The only issue we had is that it was so hot inside. I wish the AC was turned up, bit other than that, had an amazing time. Highly recommend!
Gorgeous views, my dinner selection tasted great, the service was top notch, the boat was clean, the entertainment got many chuckles.
Great thanks
Amazing, the kids will never forget this experience
The best way to spend Thanksgiving. It was a superb meal - hot and tasty - and the entertainment was was very professional. I have done this lunch cruise before and will definitely do it again.
Thanks for making our night so memorable.Visited in August 2017,Very amazing experience both inside and outside.
Very nice
Pretty overpriced compared tot he experience. The lunch quality was not good. The fish was not even very fresh.
Although only seasonal and open in the summer it's a wonderful place to see the Thousand Islands region enjoy yourself on the water highly recommended
A group of us went on the lunch cruise. We paid for premium, which gives you a seat next to the window and your choice of any dessert. Get your tickets well is advance!! This cruise sells out quite quickly. The 3 hour tour is a great way to learn some facts about Kingston and 1000 Islands. The service was efficient and friendly. The food was delicious and a fair portion. I opted for the steak and for dessert, a chocolate with vanilla lava cake. The entertainment and guide is a gentleman by the name of Billy Bridger. He is quite funny, especially if you like and have a sense of dry humour. Highly recommended.
The cruise was on time and well priced. The recorded commentary was not overly interesting and actually stopped playing near the end of the cruise.
Amazing place for a calm evening, The host in the cruise is very entertaining.
We had a wonderful meal and great entertainment. The cruise was delightful. We always do the dinner cruise when we have out of town guests.
We took the 3 hour cruise. Snacks and live music offered in the cruise (not free). The islands are fine, but it'll be a little boring after 1 hour in the boat.
The cruise was nice , Great scenery. We enjoyed the music entertainment. Their was a sign at The entrance No outside food or drinks on the cruise so we respected that. About 30min in my kids were hungry, come to find out their was only popcorn and chips for 3hrs / they didn't refill The boat with food or beverages from The previous cruise. Their was a large group of Pakistani people beside us where we sat, they brought a Buffett of food with them , the whole bottom deck smelt like curry and peanuts. One couple beside us the women's child had a severe allergy to peanuts, she complained but had to move to a different deck. The large group continued to rearrange The tables and chairs blocking off The pathways for people. I know of 3 people who complained including myself. Absouluty nothing was done. Also the women in my group were disgusted on the shape of the women's washroom, their was urine all over the floor and no toilet paper in one of the three stalls. I was upset their was no coors light beer , I had to drink something I never heard of. I also noticed a lady with a stroller had to sit on the stairs because tables are not set proper.
Amazing tour, and it's gonna be worth your time...
I was so excited for this trip, but it was not that great. The employees were great and the way they explain everything was perfect. But it was not the excited.
Good trip. A little expensive. Good snacks.
I went there after 24 years. Still same no change. Boat trip was good.
We made a reservation online, but we got the wrong boat. Which was a shame, but was also good. The entertaining on-board was good, but for children not very suited.
Amazing cruise. Very Relaxing, drinks are over priced.
Very nice tour and well organized. Views are amazing.
It was a great boat cruise. Informative and great views
I loved the Islands cruise in a clean, beautiful summer day. The tour guides will be happy to share historical and fun facts relates to the 1000 islands. From the history of a timber industry tycoon who invented an ingenious way to transport timber to Quebec using the St Lawrence river, to the myth of the creation of the islands as paradise on Earth, to the mysterious stories related to notorious prisoners in one f Canada[s most famous prisons. And if you are not a big of history, you can still enjoy the beautiful views from the boats, the breeze that relieves the summer heat. It's a must see in this town of Ontario, once the capital of the country!
My fiance and I had a blast on the sightseeing cruise. I would definitely recommend it to people. Next on my list is the dinner cruise
Great tour - very scenic and good details about the area
It was very refreshing and nice to go on the cruise.
Om goodness where do i start. We had a spectacular time. This is a MUST DO when in Kingston
Excellent for price. Good good and service.
Best Birthday Present
We didn't see island at all. It was just boat trip on the water for 1h30. We are very disappointed.
The view is great and the cruise itself turned out to be a fun get-away with family. The guided experience made it educational for our parents visiting from abroad.
We had almost a great night. Me, my spouse and my grandparents finally got a chance to do the premium dinner cruise this fall. We enjoyed everything up until dessert. We were confused when we were one of only a couple tables to receive sour watermelon instead of cheesecake. When we asked the waitress why, she first stated that we must've had an allergy, we did not. She went to the manager and came back and said it was because we had paid for a premium table, I would not have paid extra for watermelon instead of cheesecake and I don't think many would. I asked to speak the manager and he kept going in circles until he finally admitted that they didn't have enough cheesecake for everyone. They really should have been honest instead of lying and to us, it left us with a sour ending to an evening. It was unprofessional and disappointing, my grandmother had waited two years to do the cruise and printed the menu so she knew the dessert. To add insult to injury the manager wasn't wearing a proper face covering and appeared to have two guests lingering around that he was personally involved with.
The Discovery Cruise was fun. We liked that it's accessible to a variety of people and ages. The commentary was informative and the views were amazing. The seating could be improved and the volume was a little too loud for our group. Overall, we enjoyed our cruise.
If you are intrigued by Canadian history, this could be very good tour. Get a jacket and go up to the upper deck for the better view. There is not much wind because it faces the rear unless the weather is bad.
Do NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME. THIS IS NOT 1000 Islands. Drove 3 hours and doesn't 35 bucks for each ticket to see "THOUSAND ISLANDS" which is supposed to be lots of small islands with houses on them. The cruise DOESN'T EVEN move among islands coz there is NO SMALL cute island. You just board on this side go on the lake and come back. All the view you get is some industrial sites and buildings and WATER. To make sure before you buy the ticket just go on google and see the location of this cruise. See the map. There is no island close to the Port. Awful music too. Wish I had seen the map.
Food was top notch. Entertainment unexpected and a ton of fun.
Great Dinner Cruise, meal was delicious entertainment with Billy Bridger was great and the beer was cold......Would return for another cruise anytime....
Nice sunset cruise. We took the 1.5 hr cruise on the island Belle, captain and crew were courteous and professional. Always close to shore if anyone is concerned about accidents and having to swim lol. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be doing the dinner cruise or the 3 hour cruise next time. Great way to see some historic fortifications and spend an afternoon. And there is a bar on board ????
Amazing and wonderful place to see.
Just lovely and very scenic....great for a day trip. The 90min cruise was lovely with the humorous commentry.
Very great get away
Our dinner cruise aboard The Island Star was a great experience. We thoroughly enjoyed it
The dinner cruise is worth the price. Their food and service is good, the dinner itself was a quality meal which could be up to $40 at a regular restaurant, it's worth it.
I loved this place. It is beautiful location for a weekend away. Lovely sites on the cruise
We booked a 3 hour lunch cruise not really knowing what to expect. Wow! What a great time. We set sail and we were served a 3 course meal. The food was amazing, the service was excellent and the gentleman that was narrating the cruise was also the singer and the comedian. All in all, very well done and I highly recommend you book your trip now.
No cruises on a light raining day due to "weather conditions. No info on the website. Call before you go.... Long drive for nothing.
It's very nice for a family weekend getaway.
The cruise was great. We took the 3 hour lunch cruise. I'm glad we took the 3 hour lunch cruise since if i hadn't ate lunch during this time i would have found it to long. With the lunch, it was worth it. It took about 1.5hours for the total lunch. The food was good for a boat cruise. We had trouble hearing the historical commentary however. They should have more speakers in the dinning area.
I enjoyed a lunch cruise with a complimentary show. Being seated next to a window seat requires premium purchase and it is worth it if this is your first time. Food was much better than I would have expected the desert was the best part. Ongoing one man show was the highlight of the cruise. This cruise could be romantic if taken during sunset. I definitely suggest for anyone who has yet to see the islands.
Did the lunch cruise. Lunch was great, entertainment excellent, however it took so long to get to the small islands we were really only travelling through them for about 20 min.
Went this evening with my mom sister and her husband for my sisters birthday . The food was phenomenal the staff was great and friendly price was perfect and entertainment was great . I highly reccomend
Worth while boat trip
Bought tickets for cruise that takes to castle which is in USA. The girl on ticket desk suggested that having B1 visa is not a problem and i would be able to enter USA for Castle visit using that visa. I had my doubts though as B1 stands for business visits. Nop... Couldn't visit castle. Had to stay on cruise entire time while others visited castle. That's OK. It wasn't that girl's fault. She doesn't have final say on visa related question. I should have confirmed this with authorities. But I would say they should refrain from answering to questions which they are not sure for. Overall, service was great, nice scenery, beautiful place.
Beam with the Kingston Thousand Islands great to hear the stories of Thousand Islands the islands that you can see and you're surrounded with water but you are safe in the boat
We took the island star dinner cruise. It was the second time taking the cruise and we decided to get the premium seats. Food was excellent, service was great and great entertainment. It is one of the best experiences you will ever have. I highly recommend it. Regardless of the price. We plan on going again next summer.
Really enjoyed the cruise, food was very good ,and the entertainment was great!I recommend doing this if your in Kingston.
Went on the queen island cruise for brunch I'm giving it a 1 just for the terrible food they served and service was very poor waited 30 min for juice for the grandson and waited 40 minutes for our drinks but I have to say a 5 for the beautiful and relaxing cruise enjoyed the top deck I could have stayed there forever because it was so serene Loved that part of the cruise!
The weather could have been better, and the water was 2m higher than usual, none of which can be laid at the door of the cruise company, who still delivered a delightful experience. As an aside, I was particularly amused by the safety briefing which advised us to, in the case of an emergency, secure the life belt by "any knot you're comfortable with"...
Fun, short cruise around Kingston Bay.
Wonderful experience. Feel the breeze. See the beautiful sceneries on the boat tour. Worth the money.
First time for our Grandkids & they loved it!! Captain was great.. informative and entertaining..
Amazing cruise highly recommend it
We went on a sunset dinner cruise for our anniversary. The food was delicious and the views we're amazing!!!! The only reason it's not 5 stars is were seated at the same table as another group. This kind of got in the way of our romantic evening.
Great service. Information on cruise is great.
Friendly staff, great tours and a very funny captain!
We did a nice 90min tour around 1000 islands. Eventhough the ship was not really modern, it was nice and the staff was really friendly.
I recommend the dinner and boat sunset cruise, upgrade to the premium window seats if you can. The host is great
Great dinner cruise to see local sights and food was surprisingly very good
Great experience. My wife and I did the dinner cruise. Food was excellent. Billy Bridger was the entertainer of the night and was very talented. Would recommend this to anyone.
Very pleasant cruise Staff was very polite and the food was excellent
A pleasant experience but not an authentic old river boat as it appears. Good food.
Relaxing harbour cruise with a wonderful crew. The captain let us see the wheelbarrow and the cruise was relaxing and nice to break some of the heat on the water. Some history and local attractions by the staff.
Horrible ripoff food, Boat ride so so. Take the cruise if you want but avoid the "lunch". I took the Heart of the Islands Lunch Cruise + the "Upgrade to a Premium Table" option with my wife on Victoria day. Ordered on their site 1000islandscruises.ca. Crew is very friendly, polite and service is good. Now on with the bad. Since we paid the premium we got a "gourmet appetizer" and a window table. Appetizer consisted of maybe 6-7 very thin slices of raisin bread and three small portions of various spreads. Not too bad, but 30$ between me and my wife, could have done a lot better. Now the horrible. We got on the boat at 12:30 expecting to have a pleasant lunch. Lunch cruise after all. Well, we finally got the salad around 2:00. Then at 3:00 we finally got the main course. BTW, the menu on their website is not remotely accurate. We ordered the 6oz "medallions" beef (witch was supposed to be filet mignon). I ordered the extra 4oz for 8$ to my order because I was famished. What I got was maybe 3-4oz of cold meat, two pieces of cold broccoli and a scoop of cold mash potato. My wife got even less. Felt bad for the waitresses, everybody was arguing with them and they had to convince people 3oz = more than a quarter pound. A common hamburger has more meat in them. Two tables next to me sent the food back to get it back to room temperature. Felt bad for them as we could see they where out on a date and the portions wouldn't fill a 10 year old. Lady next to us complained that she had the time to get drunk and still no food. Luckily, we had enough bread to tie us over the long wait. Too bad the amount of butter provided barely covers a slice of toast. Had to ask three times then gave up and ate the bread bare. The only thing good food wise is the strawberry cake (not tiramisu like on the menu). Too bad it only came at around 4:00 as we were about to dock. I was here about ten years ago and quite the difference. Even the route has been downgraded. By my calculations, 84$ minus 34$ for just the ride = 50$ each for basically a meal on par with jail food. For 50$ a head you could have a very nice steak with a glass of wine at the nearby Keg. And unlike on this trip, everybody has a smile when the delicious warm food arrives in a timely manner. Completely ruined our trip to Kingston. Will never go back there ever again. Bottom line, take the trip, but don't get ripped off on the garbage food. Or even better, go to Gananoque instead, nicer route and view.
Not really much to say. Nice relax time on the river. People whoever get on the boat first will take all the seat and chairs, it’s annoying but eventually they realize they have to move to see the nice view. Fun experience overall.
The cruise ship is very comfortable with great visibility to the scenery. The food is excellent. We liked that the 3 course meal took 2 hours as it gave us time to look around. The live entertainment was engaging and made the cruise more enjoyable.
Wonderful short cruise! Meal was delicious & more than we expected; staff was great; scenery was peaceful & beautiful; onboard MC & entertainment was fabulous & Billy Bridger had us laughing out loud for most of the trip. Thank you all, for a most delightful tour & outing...especially after day surgery that had us in kind of a “blah” mood. You sure did pick us up!!!
It was very bad experience i ever had in my life. However there was a rain at evening time and not enough chair to sit for people and for courtesy we went to second for accommodate our self. But your stuff wasn't treat us well and said you have buy it something to seat here. This unfair to us and we stayed at top level for 2 hrs without shelter on the top. Moreover we got wet and cold due to heavy rain. I come down to visit you for my past experiences but nothing ! i am not reccomend anyones to get evening heart of island cruise, about not enough amenities and bad staff...#totally disappointed# waste of money and time....
Very nice nature and historic sightseeing through cruze. Two hrs one is enough. Choose sunny day.
Had a few excursions with this company now, I look forward to having a few more!
Had one amazing dinner cruise and booked a second dinner cruise reservation for 6 ppl for two weeks later. Received a voicemail two days before the cruise telling me our reservation was cancelled. Called back and was advised a private group wanted the boat so our reservation was cancelled. Very disappointing as we had people coming in from out of town. Be aware this could happen to anyone who makes a reservation on any of the tours. Why have a reservation process if your reservation may not honoured. Be aware this could happen to anyone.
The cruise company was very rude to us. We have called and requested to see if they can reschedule our appointment for the next one ride. We have received confirmation from the office for the same, up on arrival we were surprised to know that the ticket counter never got the confirmation. Upon enquiry, we were called liers straight to our face. The person on the phone, Erica I believe, personally made sure that we never even got the left over tickets just so that she can prove try to prove that we were lying. This is the first time ever I have got to see such lying on the face act from an organization. Very disappointed by this as we drove 5 hours to enjoy the cruise. I would have happily left of they were atleast nice to us and have said no for not having an availability.
Great experience to look at the 1000 Islands.
Don't recommend the cruise to every body. There is an issue with the management for sure. Food didn't come in a timely manner. All passengers waited at least two hours for the food to come in while the trip was 3 hours. It turned out that the trip lasted 4 hours because of the mess up of the management. We are individuals while most of the guests are groups, which they expect. Also group came later than individuals while groups got on board earlier than individuals, which is disorganized.
Very Nice views, they even have a band onboard. Be sure to dress for the weather.
Awesome food and drinks, great staff and live entertainment onboard
Thanks to the team for a fantastic cruise. We were delighted and will come again. Special thanks for the awesome playlist :)
Went on the 1.5 hour tour. It was informative and fun. There is lots of seating and you can move around the boat to check out the different levels and sights.
Great all around. Just wish we did not have to stand in the rain, waiting to board the ship.
3 hours cruise was very good view of small Ireland
Great place and cruise service
It was a really cool 1h cruise (especially during restrictions for Covid-19). They found a way to adapt the ship for us to keep our distance between other people and accomodate us to keep the good part of the view outside. The only problem was the speaker sound from one of a guide was to low to listen from outside so we lost a part of the speech...
We went on the dinner cruise. It was a blast!! Food was AMAZING and the entertainment was hilarious!! Cant wait to go again!!
Nice way to know the area. Lovely and romantic cruise. But make sure to be there even 20min before the boarding
We did the 90 minute boat tour. It was a nice way to see a few of the islands, and the shoreline of Kingston. Very beautiful. Unfortunately, the audiotape (which for us is super important, as we love leaning new facts) was a let down. We were seated at the back of the boat and it seemed the speakers were not working at the back, so we could not hear very well. When we moved to the front of the boat, we could hear but then were blasted with wind. During the audiotape breaks, when the live person guide would speak on the microphone, it was so loud for our ears, we found ourselves running back to where we started. It was either too quiet or too loud. Even downstairs inside, the speakers were not loud enough to be clearly heard clear over the chatter of the other people there. I felt like I was just running around the boat for 90 minutes trying to find spots where I was comfortable and could hear, and I ended up missing a lot of the audio:( I can't say I would recommend this tour.
It was ok. Nothing outstanding but a decent way to spend your day.
Good
Good
Highly recommended if you are in Kingston. We took the 3 hour cruise and had a great experience. My only complaint is that it was about an hour and a half until we got to the islands, it felt like most of the time we were just travelling on open waters. However, overall, it was great and I think that anyone would enjoy just being out on the water for a few hours!
I have always enjoyed the trips. When family or friends come to visit, I bring them on board. Fantastic service, and very entertaining.Thank you.
Well it didn't start out very well. Mix up with on line booking, did not get the tickets selected and had to go back to the check in to upgrade for lunch. Had to get back in line which resulted in not getting a window. We were the only people not by the window as a result of being in line twice. Hopefully lunch will be good and make up for this annoyance. Not impressed so far!
Good meal, great scenery and a pleasant boat ride! Entertainment not our style but most enjoyed it thoroughly.
Smooth sailing. Clean and safe. Nice ship
The tour is well organized with friendly staff. The landscape is nothing special except for 40 minutes when you reach the small islands. Overall it`s a nice trip.
Awesome experience on cruise. Must enjoy the cruise for a beautiful sunset.
Nice cruise of 3 hours for just 45 $
The most scenic area in Ontario - great boat tours, lots of restaurant choices, entertainment, history, you name it - you find it! Not to mention ghost stories Tours !
Whent on a dinner time cruise with my girlfriend for her 40th birthday!!!. We had such a good time, great food, great service and Billy was awesome. Thanks for the experience!
A great way to get a quick view of the islands with great commentery and information about the history of Kingston and the islands.
Lovely staff, nice cruise
Amazing experience, great food, music and atmosphere. Would highly recommend!
A waste of money and time. Only half an hour (or even less) at the middle of the trip when then cruise gets to the small islands is worthy. The rest? Two hours and a half with just some nice live music but nothing to stare at on the outside. Definitely, not what we were looking for.
Our family had an excellent time on our lunch cruise last week. The food was great, selection and quality weer both great and the service was excellent. The audio commentary was interesting, entertaining and informative too. My only complaint was that i felt it was awfully cheap that they didn't include pop and juices in the lunch buffet; to charge for this after charging us $69 for a lunch cruise was a little ridiculous and unnecessary!
Disappointed with the cruise. Lunch was ok but they ran out of food. Slow in getting tables served. Music too loud. Hard to here the commentary. Lots of water and trees to look at but next time visitors are in town will go back to Rockport. More islands and cottages to see. And the American side of the river is nice. Food better too. But the boat with 1000 islands is nicer. Anyway that's my experience. Enjoy the wonderful waterway no matter who you cruise with. It's awesome!
Beautiful place to relax and calm and de-stress. Lot of history about the islands all around. Recommend the 3 hour tour and the folks are very friendly and helpful. You get beer and snacks as well but expectedly the prices are a bit on the higher side .
Nice boat tour. We took the 90mins one. Get tickets early if you really want to go as they sell out. They offer snacks and drinks on board. Also, line up early if you want a seat up top!
I booked this tour with my teenage children expecting loads of history, interesting facts and valuable commentary. There was virtually none - instead a gentleman played a portable piano (bless him) and chatted through songs a la Tony Bennett. This may be fine for some, but if you’re looking for substance RUN AWAY. Comically terrible. Hell on water.
Nice tour. Music was nice on the boat as well.
First off, lunch meal was quite good. About 4 choices to choose from. Excellent entertainment and information was given about the 1000 islands. Staff was very pleasant especially with a full boat. Trip was a bit over 3 hours. Well worth the money.
Great cruise and staff!
Nice cruise but need to screw down the chairs when the water is a little rough
We would recommend this tour for everyone. Informative, comfortable and relaxing. It was just an overall excellent adventure. We will be back next year to do another cruise, maybe the dinner one next time.????????
Great cruise around the 1000 Islands and the Kingston area. Tour guides are quite knowledgeable on the history of the area. Worth the trip.
Awesome. The brunch cruise was great. The food was amazing. I highly recommend the smoked salmon. Awesome experience.
Love it all.the time.best to see and visit
Amazing experience. We were group of 10! Enjoyed every moment of those 3Hrs. The cruise staff is really helpful. Also the cruise is very clean. Overall, big thumbs up!
The meal was excellent along with the service. We went on July 29th. Entertainment was really great.
My wife and I had a great time on the island star dinner boat cruise. We enjoyed the food and entertainment. The service was exceptional and they even surprised us with a glass of champagne for our honeymoon getaway. We couldn’t have asked for a better evening.
I was most surprised by the very talented on board entertainment, other than the audio tour there was live music in between. Great tour.
We had a blast... such a great afternoon
I very much enjoyed the 1.5 hr cruise into the St. Lawrence. I didn't hear much of the narrated message as I was enjoying the scenery, sun and wind at the front of the boat.
This Cruise is very expensive compare to the other cruises which are boarding outside of Kingston. If you drive 15 min out of town you can save 10 to 15 dollars per person The crew is very rude and not accommodative at all. The boat is old and chairs are dirty
Very cool calm place..we had a ball…wish they provide Linen and blankets ..good service and very relaxing
Not much to see the first and last hour of the cruise. Onboard entertainment (musician) was annoying. Very relaxing and enjoyed the ride until the musician started to play.
The cruise was excellent. Highly recommend to try it at least once
Best serene place to have a calm and relaxing day!! The cruise was good giving you some scenic views to cherish. Memories for life!!
Cruise was great, weather really changed along route. Wind and storm rolled in. What a difference after minutes makes. Can see why alot of ships sunk with loss of life. May not be everyone's peice of cake but a little wind and rain never hurt anyone.
Good ferry ride , very interesting history of area . Very scenic! A great day for all . Refreshments on boat . Lots to enjoy .
I’d booked the 3-hour lunch cruise. The scenery was beautiful and you’ve got to make sure you pick a sunny day and go to the 3rd-level deck for the best experience. The (buffet) food was not great, though not too bad either. The staff were friendly and efficient and the live band pretty good.
Well organized. Great views of the 1000 islands by boat ride. A must see tourist stop
Amazing way to learn and see about Canada's history
Great place to visit. Fun for the whole family!
Lots of knowledge to know very interesting
Dinner cruises are wonderful. Great staff and entertainment. A must thing to do while visiting Kingston in the summer.
My family and I were on the 3 hour cruise last week that hit the rocks 15 minutes into the cruise. We limped back to shore with the crew bailing water and our cruise was cancelled. I was so disappointed to have driven all the way from Mississauga for nothing but what can you do- at least we were not stranded in the middle of the St Lawrence River! With that said, they need to increase the volume on the commentary drastically and ditch the wandering minstrel who was playing over the commentary. Couldn't hear a thing during our short cruise and you're there to see the islands and hear about the history.
Great experience!
Mediocre food and service. Quite expensive as well. If you want to see the thousand islands then go out of Rockport.
Speaker on the lower deck was not clear enough to understand. Also there was nothing much to see.
Loved the food.... and courteous staff made it even better
Always fully booked , need to reserve in advance ????
The water and islands are beautiful. The bost cruise itself was pleasant. The recording playing in the background informing you of the history of the area was just that...informative. as to that I will say the two characters talking were hard to listen to. The band playing on board was a bit loud in the dining room but was entertaining and a pleasant break from the prerecorded history lesson. As to the brunch ... well. Knowing this food was premade and put together on the boat what can you expect that it would arrive to the table cold and after sending it back for another that one came luke warm at best. The coffee thankfully was hot and bottomless.
My friends from Toronto brought me here. The tour took 3 hours, but it was interesting. You can eat on the ship, have a cup of coffee and see the beautiful views
The islands are beautiful to see, but they dont sail close to the shores so you can enjoy better the views. Overall nice activity. The bar could have better options in terms of snacks.
They sent 100 kids on board, school summer program or something. They ruined the afternoon completely . They could give them a charter or told us about the situation. I had plenty of time and lots of opening was available the same day. Other passengers were upset too. Very disappointed
Loved it
Great spot to spend time with family and friends...go on a cruise or a walk. Always a great experience.
Great atmosphere although stuffy on the 2nd level without the windows open. Staff were very welcoming and helpful and the food was good.
Enjoyed the boat cruise. We had a wonderful time sight-seeing islands and castles over the water.
My wife and myself took two adult visters on the Luncheon Cruise, aboard the Island Queen and it was great. The food and service warren fantastic.
Dinner cruise had a great meal, 3+ hours can be a bit long to stay on a boat
Not bad but I thought it would have been a more naturalistic place. Otherwise the voices explaining the history of Kingston and the islands where very well made.
OMG!!!The staff were fantastic! Everyone was so friendly and happy! We would go again!
The cruises were wonderful. We had both lunch and dinner on Island Star. The service was excellent. The cruise was entertaining at lunch for family and dinner was more for adults. My husband and I had a wonderful time. Highly recommended!
It was so lovely. Did the lunch cruise. The food was very good, the beef medallions were like butter. Only complaint was I couldn't get a window seat because there was a bus tour booked. Would have liked the option to reserve a window seat. The live band was very entertaining. Would come back for the dinner cruise.
The 3 hr tour is mostly in open water only 45 min is actually in the small islands. If you are looking to see all the various houses, try anther tour. I would try tour from Gananoque or from the US side at Alexander Bay or Clayton. The boat was also overbooked with extremely limited seat. On a sunny day, there were not enough shade for the passages. Very uncomfortable. Do not recommend!!
Would go again. Great food, service, views and entertainment. well worth the money for a lunch cruise. Will do a sunset cruise next time. Loved the history. Saw the Islands, great view of RMC and Fort Henry.
Loved our cruise! We did the lunch cruise and it was definitely the highlight of our first trip to Kingston. The staff were very friendly, buffet food was absolutely delicious (far beyond what we were expecting considering the fairly low price of getting the cruise with our Kpass!) and the scenery was breathtaking. If we ever go back to Kingston, we will absolutely do this cruise again.
Beautiful trip. Very educational.
Was a nice relaxing tour by boat enjoy the view of the houses on the islands price was pretty good too
Just finished the sunset dinner cruise (3 hours). We bought the dinner cruise because 2pm (3 hours) cruise was sold out, so lesson learned is that it is better to book online one day ahead, especially for summer and holiday. Pro: staffs are nice and friendly. Con: 1. The scenes are not that impressive. I expected to see some castles and a bridge connecting Canada and US, but did not see them in this cruise. 2. Dinner cruise is CAD $88 for both adults and kids, no price difference, no kids meal. Kids did not really like the 4 courses dinner, so they did not eat. Feel kids’ tickets were wasted. Overall the experience is ok, but won’t do the cruise again. For first time cruisers, I would not recommend dinner cruise.
This was so much fun and learned quite a bit of the local history. Worth the money.
It was awesome. I just wish they let us know we would he sitting with a bunch or strangers and/or gave us an option to sit at a table for two
Was so much fun to view Kingston from the water.
Very nice experience
A nice experience with beautifull scenery.
Had friends come for a visit from Quebec and thought this would be nice to do as a group of 5. Found the boat could use some new carpet, found the boat to be crowded we were on the mail deck as you have no choice of deck when buying tickets. Some people on main deck had chairs but no table on the upper deck it was a zoo to get to the washroom as people were sitting with their feet up in the area of the washroom. Would not do again for the price
We booked the sunset dinner cruise, premium so we can have a table next to the window. The food was great, the sunset was amazing and the service we got was really good. The reasons I’m not giving 5 stars is because the entertainment was nice but the persons I was with didn’t speak English and when the entertainer, as charming and funny as he is, is speaking or singing, it was impossible for us to talk to each other because it was loud. Also, we had a few spiders right next to us on the window, the AC was a bit too much (but the waiter brought some stuff to block the cold air and it worked well) and also the desert could have been better. I was recommended this and I really dont regret doing it and I would recommend the experience.
Great time! There for wedding...was awesome
The food was delicious but the entertainment was so so. It was loud and hard to understand. It also didn't help we had a few loud and drunk groups on the cruise.
Hmmm 5 out of 10
We were on the cruise on Sunday afternoon and had a horrible experience The staff had no regard for COVID safety and social distancing and capacity management They allowed a group of 10-12 people on a deck which was already full. These people blatantly disregarded social distancing rules nor Covered their faces, including one of them was not feeling well too When complained to the Staff of Island Queen they complacent till the end of the cruise Overall it was a horrible experience and the staff first allowed additional people on the deck and then did not try to control them
Awesome
The staff was friendly. Food selection was food and taste great. Pick from chicken seafood beef and vegetarian. Salad desert coffee and tea. Narration and great singing by experienced tour guide. Good value for three hours. Highly recommended.
Amazing Experience. Must do atleast once.
Great place to get away for a quiet retreat. Friendly people.
Not worth for the money and the time!
I did the 90 minutes tour which was great if you've never done it before. However, i've done the tour from Gananoque which was way better and had better views of the mansions and nicer islands.
The brunch is atrocious beyond belief. Arrived cold and visually unappealing. Do not opt for the ticket that includes a meal. The cruise itself is worthwhile. Live jazz music. Ample seating. Orderly boarding and unboarding. Fun narration of the surrounding sights. The boat itself is outdated but not to a degree that should interfere with your enjoyment of the ride.
What a great time unwinding, relaxing and enjoying the view!!! Tasteful food, thoughtful service, colorful jazz band! A must go visiting Kingston!
Took my wife, the food was great. The comedian, Billy was halarious. The music fantastic, different genres. I'm going to book again soon. This is my first ever Google review, I had to write it because of the wonderful experience I had. Worth the money, recommend book early, two weeks in advance if you want a private table. I missed out on the private table, but still had a great view. Show up 30mins in advance in order to beat the line to board. Not one regret, will be going again soon.
Enjoyable cruise, but the live music inside was toooo loud. We took the 3-hours cruise and saw many beautiful islands.
We took three hour cruise starting at 2:00 PM. The weather was not too bad. We live in Brampton and took us 4.5 hours to reach 1000 Islands. One piece of advice who want to visit this place, please start early around 6:00 AM to reach around 9:00 AM and get better choice on timing. The three hour trip was so boring not to mention expensive: please avoid it. I did not enjoy it at all. My recommendation is to avoid it.
Great experience
Great dinner cruise. Food was great and lots of it, go for seconds if you want. First part a little boring but fantastic narrative. Had a band playing downstairs and they were good but too much ad-libs whole they were singing songs incorporating local places or people in their songs, too cutsy for us.
Great little trip for the family. Friendly staff, good entertainment and excellent educational narration makes this a wonderful scenic trip. A must see if you are visiting Kingston Area.
Threatening rude staff - my daughter was choking because of the unnecessarily loud announcements, I was publicly reprimanded over the tannoy for taking her outside to calm her down. Dreadful music inside - unpleasantly loud. Above all a rip off for a 50 minute circle around the bay, no view of the islands.
I loved the boat cruise... fantastic experience
What's on for brunch food was delicious and coffee our server was Lynda very nice young lady
We did the Discovery Tour. 90 minutes around the mouth of the Saint Lawrence. By the time we boarded, there was no room on the top deck so we sat in the enclosed bottom. The speakers/sound system were terrible and we didn't hear a single thing. Otherwise, the scenery is not much to talk about. If you are desperate to do it, suggest you get there very early and sit on top where the sound was better. If you don't get a seat, disembark as quick as possible.
Nice experience but the day we're onboard was hot and the air conditioner of the cruise was not set enough to accommodate the right temperature, this is why we kept on the top deck to enjoy fresh air. The food was good, the staff were so nice and the entertainer was so nice and had high sense of humor ???? The tour itself was amazing, we could wander around the area enjoying the sightseeing.
For the price I expected better service ,and comfort. Took 30 minutes to get our drinks and the seats you have to endure the 3 hour trip on are standard banquet hall stacking chairs no feel of luxury or comfort and for the $250 I spent for my wife and my ticket was completely underwhelmed. To add injury to insult at desert time they try to upsell you into paying for a better desert option (you would think at $125/person desert would be your choice without paying more) Save your dough get a nice meal then head down to Gananoque for their 1000 island cruise which is worth every penny
I boarded the Heart of The Islands 3 hour cruise and I must say I was very disappointed. The beer selection was extremely limited! They offered live entertainment but the performer only played music from his era (1960s to 1970s). Not everyone on the boat wanted to listen to his performance which lasted majority of the cruise! The performer did offer to take song requests but only from his era which I thought was hilarious. There was poor supervision of the boat in terms of covid 19 rules because people on the lower decks pretty much stayed at the top deck for majority of the cruise. Many times these adults had to be constantly reminded on loud speaker to put on their mask. These same adults children kept running up and down the stairs playing tag or hide and go seek which is a safety hazard. There was even people sitting on metal containers that I think contained something that would be used in the event there was an emergency. The good thing was this tour offered views of all the islands on the Canadian side but other than that, the value wasn't up to par. I have been on better cruises in Brockville that offered a shorter cruise time, more alcohol variety and peace and quite (all you heard the entire cruise was your thoughts, the birds and the lake splashing), better management of all on board and were reasonably priced for admission. I wouldn't go back on the 3 hour cruise for sure!
We did the dinner cruise late August 2018, we enjoyed the meal and the entertainment, Billy Bridger's great ????????.
Nice cruise. We got the 1h trip and it worth every minute. It goes only through summmer houses but the landscape is really nice. They play a recording explaining in detail all the places we passed through. Recommended.
Nice
