January 2019 - Boldt Castle Tour - we flew over the frozen St.Lawrence and the Thousand Islands - incredible, breathtaking views with fluffy clouds and just a hint of a breeze - such a smooth ride with Bill Fox. January 2019 - Tourism 1000 Islands sent us on an Ice Fishing Trip by helicopter!! Owner Dave Kouri flew us to a lake in the Addington Highlands to land on a frozen lake! Our guide, Scott Kouri was waiting at the ice hut - which as already toasty warm inside - for us to spend the day fishing! Halfway through our day, Scott prepared some fried fish that had be caught and seasoned the previous day, just for us! With a side of french fries, our fish and chips meal was just perfect!! July 2018 - It was a hot day with a high UV index, and the haze was hanging in the air, but oh, the clouds were so fluffy and the sky was the bluest blue! Once Aaron, our helicopter pilot for the tour took off, the weather down there didn't seem to matter anymore - we were surrounded by various shades of emeralds, turquoise and sapphire blues. For our second time in the air, we took the 30 min aptly named Aerial Views & Seaway Hues - which takes you over the Ivy Lea bridge & 1000 Islands Tower, Boldt Castle, Grenadier Island, Singer Castle and more! Better prepared with my camera, I had two in my lap, alternating between super wide shots, 24mm equiv. and telephoto shots - at least 60 percent of the shots came out. The weather and wind was pretty smooth the entire way, a few bumps here and there, but nothing like the March flight and the thermals. The other 40% didn't turn out in part because I wasn't quick enough with the CPL which is needed when taking photos through the helicopter cockpit glass. The semi-fish lens did not have a CPL and so a portion of the failed shots are from that lens; it's success rate was lower due to heavy reflections coming from inside the chopper. Apparently, afternoon flights yield better overall shots, and the morning tours may provide a glimpse of the shipwrecks below due to the sun's alignment. No matter what time or season you go, it'll be incredible, I can guarantee that! March 2018 - A fresh dusting of snow coated the ground, having fallen early in the morning, before our flight. It made for the perfect contrast against the bare trees and conifers. Our pilot, Jordan, took us on a twenty minute ride of a lifetime over the melting river, 1000 islands and Boldt Castle. This was my first flight in a helicopter, I was overwhelmed by the awesomeness of it all. I was so shaky with the camera - there were also some pretty heavy gust hitting us at high altitudes so getting jostled every few seconds contributed to some bad pictures.

This was so much fun. We took the 30 min two castle tour. My wife is scared of heights so I broke the surprise 2 hours before we took off so she had some time to prepare. She LOVED it!!! Arron our pilot was just awesome (love that ozzy accent!) and the pretty lady at the airport was so helpful and friendly (did I mention helpful?). The entire experience, from shopping for the tour online to getting out of the helicopter, was excellent. I HIGHLY recommend the 1000 islands helicopter tour! We also took a boat cruise tour with an excellent Abba cover band entertaining and it was enjoyable too, but the boat tour does not compare to the helicopter tour. If you want to do something truly awesome in the Qananoque area, jump in this helicopter!

I tried it this summer and I cant wait to try it out in the winter. It was just magical. Amazing experince on thanksgiving weekend with my family. Great special only for this weekend $50 per person made it a must do for us. Very friendly staff and pilots. My mom who is afraid of heights loved it so much she actually did it yesterday and was the one who took me today. Definatly recommend for anyone near and far to check-out. Is expensive but definitely worth the price tag.

Great Place with amazing staff! Definitly a must visit for tourists and Canadians alike. Nothing compares to seeing the thousand islands like this. I took the family and it really felt like a once in a lifetime experience. I highly recommend everyone try this at least once. Reasonable prices and great location with lots of parking. They take covid seriously with masks, and give everyone a disinfected headset to talk while in the helicopters! Bill is an awesome pilot with the best cheesy jokes!

Can't recommend 1000 Islands Helicopter Tours enough! My wife and I decided to take advantage of their $50 (per person) special pricing last weekend and it was worth every penny and more. Thoroughly professional, incredibly friendly staff and especially our pilot Bill, who made my wife (not good with heights and on her first helicopter ride) feel comfortable and secure. The flight at that price was about 6-7 minutes which was enough to give us a terrific view, some great pictures and a promise to each other to come back for a longer flight! Thanks to everyone at 1000 Islands Helicopters for a great experience!

These helicopters are noisy and disruptive to the 1000 Islands region. They fly low over homes and cottages every 20 minutes ruining the serenity of the area. Boycott 1000 Island Helicopter Tours and come see the beautiful 1000 Islands on one of the tour boats. Seeing the 1000 Islands from the water is a much better experience.

My wife surprised me for my birthday with a helicopter tour of the 1,000 Islands with a stopover at BUSL Cider in Mallorytown. The helicopter flight was excellent! Pilot Bill Fox was outstanding...smooth flight, amazing views and impressive knowledge of the 1000 Islands landmarks. BUSL Cider was a treat not to be missed. Fantastic cider, beer and food in a picturesque setting. We highly recommend both The 1000 Island Helicopter tour and BUSL Cider!

OMG. First, it was a surprise from my wife. We went up for the 30 minute tour over the 1000 Islands tourist area. We flew on 1 October on a clear, sunny morning under perfect conditions. The area for 100 km in all directions burst in Autumn colours - absolutely brilliant. The various shades of blue and green water contrasted with the multi-coloured islands to provide an unforgettable experience. Our pilot obviously was familiar with all the landmarks and gave a running description. On occasion, we passed a site twice to ensure both of us had a great view. We had a thorough safety briefing and the office has a small gift and souvenir shop with reasonably-priced items. Though not inexpensive, some unique experiences such as this will be remembered for the incredible views, not the price.

Greatly appreciated the dedication to safety. One of the choppers had a gauge issue, and the pilot rightly determined not to risk taking it up. This did cause some delays to tour times, but that is a small price to pay. There's not much room for error in aviation. We will definitely go back, next time for a longer flight.

I grew up in this area and never had a proper 1000 Islands experience. I decided to take my fiancee on this tour and we were both immensely impressed. The staff at the depot were very friendly. The original date got rained out and they rescheduled with no problem. And luckily they did, the next day was perfectly clear and sunny. The guided helicopter tour was one of the best activities we've ever done. An absolute must if you're in the area.

What a great experience. We did "the works" yesterday. We boat and live in the Kingston and 1000 Islands but this was amazing! Seeing things from the sky gives you a different perspective to this beautiful part of the country. We were lucky to have perfect weather and could see for miles. Our Pilot Aaron was a terrific and friendly guide . Maybe next year we will do the Rideau trip!
