Bery enjoyable tour.

They were the only venue we purchased from that provided their own exchange rate from Canadian to US on the reciept. This was not only done without asking, it was not at the current rate. There was considerable construction along the waterfront that prevented us from experiencing much of the rout. This in itself was not an issue, it was that we were not informed until after we were on the bus, and after we had paid full price. Other than these mishaps, the drivers were great, and they maintained a good schedule.

One of the best things to do in victoria

Definitely not worth the astronomical price of $42 that they charge. The first driver we travelled with was reasonably pleasant and informative but the second driver, a guy called Russ, was rude, condescending towards the passengers and thoroughly unpleasant. Avoid!!

Entertaining and informative. And so beautiful. It gives you a good overview of one of the prettiest cities in the world. I saw a park that I went back to several times later. It is called Beacon Hill Park. Also the driver told some historical antidotes that gave some depth and brought to life some places we saw like the church made of redwood from California and about the First Nations people who lived in what is now Beacon Hill Park.

Jim Gillard

Best way to see the city. Friendly driver.

Steve Tupper

A very thorough look around this small capital city and its suburbs. Its perfectly good if you are an English speaker, but that is the only language. A full 85mins of sightseeing.

I've done these tours in other cities and I've always loved them. You get an overview of Victoria's most well know areas and attractions. There definitely is a lot to see and if you see things that you really like, you can go back on your own or get off the bus and explore futher. This really is a no brainer tourist pick. Bus driver was excellent and entertaining. He had to amend the tour slightly due to a change in road construction and did an admirable job.

The tour would have been amazing because of all the scenic sights but the driver drove through 3 heavy shrubs and trees that grazed our kids and wet had to yank them in or they would have gotten hurt severely. When we confronted him with these near miss'es he said well they were only "near miss'es". I would find another tour line.

We take a Grayline tour in every city we visit as we always love the informative guides. However, today's narration was pre-recorded and overly scripted. We really missed the live information, impromptu comments, humour and the opportunity to ask a few questions. There was a lot of down time with no narration and, when the wind picked up, we couldn't hear it anyway. As a couple we paid $100 which did not feel like money well spent for a 90-minute pre-recorded tour. The driver was pleasant and the route was diverse with many nice, waterfront views.

Loved seeing Victoria this way!

BEWARE! They gave false information to my elderly mother who bought a groupon ticket for a competitor. Mistakenly we tried to redeem them at grey line. Instead of point us in the right direction they said that company was a groupon scam and didnt exsist. We bought a new ticket with them only to find out later that was not the case at all and we couldnt get refunds on our wasted groupon tickets. A DISAPOINTING end to a lovley vacation.

THIS REVIEW IS FOR GRAY LINE SEATTLE. We purchased 48 hour family passes and so far very poor experience. They claim busses ride every 30 minutes. We have been waiting yesterday for over an hour and today at the West Lake station for two hours as well and the bus still hasn’t arrived at our station. Talked to the gentleman that sells passes on the corner, wasn’t helpful. Called the company directly twice, very useless customer service. We demanded to get a full refund and were refused and were redirected to their website in hopes to make it difficult for customers to follow through. It IS considered theft from a poorly run company. To the Gray Line Seattle company: when people pay you and rely on you when visiting, the expectation is that you deliver what you stand for. You so far wasted our family’s and other people’s valuable time when visiting another city. This is unacceptable! Dear potential customers: PLEASE save your money and time, use other means of transportation and save the stress dealing with incompetent people!

Hop on hop off. Only hits stops once per hour. If you miss it or get out of sync it is hard to get back on. We got to a stop five minutes early and found it had already been an left. About 20 of us left behind. That being said it was a good way to get the lay of the land on day one here. Not as good as similar services in New York for example.

This was an awesome experience. Lots of things to see on this tour and you can stop and get off/on at many great locations. The bus was quite clean, the driver and staff were friendly and informative, and the narration was very well done. This is definitely something I would do again.

Informative pre-recorded tour plus very nice "live" staff on bus. Great way to see the town. Not always clear when you can hop off, but the stops easy to identify. Lots of options and we used it to get around town for rest of day,

Good tour. Drivers courteous. Spoken, not recorded narrative. Old 1957 double decker bus was a kick. A little cramped, but fun.

Alyssa Hertel

Tour was good and a nice little taste of the different neighborhoods. However, hours to use your pass are very limited in the winter and the buses run extremely late. We have been waiting at the OUTDOOR bus stop for a bus that was supposed to arrive 40 minutes ago! At least it's not snowing...?

Took the tour to beat the heat last weekend. A nice tour around the city and outskirts but I feel the driver talked and promoted the restaurants and hotels than he did give educational info. Cheesy jokes about tipping at the end were not appreciated either so we didn't leave a tip. Maybe be a little more discreet . Not worth $45 in my opinion . I was also dissapointed we didn't see the castle as it is listed as a stop on the tour.

What a great tour wooo! I had brought my cousins and in-laws family up from Texas to see Canada and this was one of our favorite parts of our whole trip. The tour had a great narration with a very funny and informative bus driver. Also the landmarks that we went by were incredibly beautiful. I am not use to being so close to the ocean so it really took my breath away.

Sandy Chau

This is a terrible tour, the worst I have been on. I don't know why they call this a hop on hop off tour. Since it's called a hop on hop off tour, you would think you can hop on and hop off anytime...nope, you can but good luck getting back on. We assumed there were constant buses driving around the loop every 30 min or so...nope, 1 bus only comes every 1.5 hours or more. Since we already bought the ticket, my husband and I decided to stop at a location then walk to the next location to catch the next bus. Apparently, not every location gives you the intersection where they would pick you up at so we missed one of the buses. Since each bus comes every 1.5 hours, we decided to walk to the nearest bus stop, pay $2.50 each to ride the city bus. I would not recommend this trip to anyone that is active and want to hop off to explore; I would say this tour is for people that want to sit for 1.5 hours, listen to a prerecorded tour, and see everything from the bus. If you want to see the locations this tour takes you, grab one of their maps and pay for the $5 all day city bus fare and go on your own.

Great tour for both my kids and parents! was able to see and learn a lot about the city in a short time.

Fun and relaxing

worst run tour bus company anywhere I have ever been. Drivers were rude and not informative just told everyone to listen to the pre recorded information. One driver at one of the stops refused to allow passengers on and told them to wait another hour until the next bus to arrive. My family and I were waiting at a stop and the bus was running late and the driver did not stop for us and we ended up walking back to the cruise terminal

David Phipps

Bit expensive. Every 40 minutes is ok. Think there should be more stops and more frequent. Also Chinatown market square esquimalt and more.

G Harder

Fun and informative bus tour. Great way to see the city. We loved being able to hop off to explore or eat and hop back on. Our bus driver was friendly and enjoyed his witty banter.

Very impressed with this tour both the bus drivers and ticket salesmen were extremely helpful and as a tourist who only had a few days in Victoria it was a great way to get around!
