A tasty and entertaining few hours, I’ve done a few other food tours in other cities, and this was my favourite. Highly recommended, and it sounds like the stops change a bit tour to tour, so I will definitely do another on my next trip!

Wonderful experience with delicious food, I was worried initially as I am a pretty picky eater but the food tour was amazing and I liked everything I tried. Also, our tour guide Andy is very knowledgeable about history in Victoria and is an overall great guy! They cater to dietary restrictions as well (celiac). I would highly recommend to everyone.

Went to visit a friend who just moved to Victoria and we decided to take this tour as it seemed unique and genuine. We couldn’t have been happier. We learned about a lot of downtown Victoria. We met with owners/chefs at each stop. First class from top to bottom. Make sure to go hungry!!! I liked learning the Queen still gets a certain box of chocolates to her each year, and you get to try one!

Throughout the tour, you get to try a good variety of foods from bread, oils and vinegars, beer, meatballs, desserts, and more. Andy is very knowledgeable of Victoria and all the merchants you meet ans restaurants you visit. My favourite part of the tour (other than the food of course) was learning about the history of Chinatown. Overall, a really great experience that I recommend for tourists and locals!

Family and allergy friendly! We toured with Andy. We are a family of 5 with kids that are ages 9 and twins that are 7. We have severe allergies and Andy was very accommodating, kind, patient and knowledgeable. Our tasting group had both locals as well as tourists like us. I would highly recommend this tour and especially appreciated the care Andy took for our group. He clearly knew local history, specialty restraurants, businesses and cares for the community. This tour gives you a taste, and a place - a sense of what Victoria is today, and what it has been in history. This tour was worth every part of 5-stars. Andy is an energetic, informative, hard-working, and diligent tour guide who has carefully curated OUTSTANDING stops in Victoria. Andy has a genuine interest in the foods, history, and treats he presents. He exceeding our expectations. On our walking tour of Chinatown and Old Town we enjoyed fabulous meatballs at Roast, Perogies, Macha, Chocolate, and a local Cider, plus more. The pace of the tour is perfect, enough of a break to enjoy the tastes, and brisk enough to stay fresh and enticing. Andy is the best walking tour guide I have ever had, and I think every age could enjoy this wonderful tour. Especially wonderful for tourists looking to learn a bit about the area. Every minute was worthwhile and the amounts of food, walking, and learning were perfect.

Wonderfully varied and informative food tour. I've never been on one before where the chefs or proprietors come out and have a little chat with the group. Andy Olson (the owner) has a great personality, is well informed and very personable! The tour is very well organized, introduces you to a number of different sweet and savoury dishes and includes many historical anecdotes of interest.

An absolutely fabulous tour. Andy was so knowledgeable and I learned so much about the city in which I live :). The food was wonderful too. Varied and unique we tried perogies, ice cream, olive oils (which were spectacular), meatballs and so much more...the walk was taken at an easy pace and the route he chose was perfect....we experienced old Victoria, China Town, a Market and the hustle and bustle of Government Street...the chocolate was wonderful too. Totally a must do trip if you're visiting Victoria :) :) Thank you Andy...you were amazing :)

A great way to spend the afternoon. All the locations we visited were friendly and offered excellent food, and our guide was so informative with the history and culture of each place. I saw that this tour had good reviews and it delivered! Andy was a fantastic guide, his knowledge about the history of Victoria and the food scene seemed endless. We live on Vancouver Island so we have been to Victoria many times before but this tour was great for getting to know different landmarks that we had always walked by. Thanks to Andy, we also now know about some amazing places to eat. The owners of the restaurants were super friendly and happy to talk about their food. I encourage locals and Canadians alike to check out this tour. During this Covid time it was kind of nice to do the tour with no crowds. It was well worth it. We will have to do another tour with some different stops next time.

This tour was about the fifth or sixth I've been on and this one was excellent. Andy gives you a great tour through Victoria and you sample all sorts of wonderful food along the way. Without giving too much away, there is a stop in a pub that is arguably the nicest bar you will ever enter. Along the way, you are given a vivid history lesson about the city of Victoria. I would highly recommend this tour!

This tour was truly as good as it gets. You get a quick paced interesting bit of history of the area while exploring a lot of neat back alley spaces. Best of all, you leave VERY VERY full of delicious food! Andy, the guide was personable, the food was diverse and he accommodated people's dietary needs, and the tour was fun for all of us (ranging from 12-78 years old). ARRIVE HUNGRY!

A fun and delicious way to spend my first afternoon in Victoria! Andy provides an excellent introduction to the history of Chinatown and Old Town while filling us up with absolutely delectable eats! I went on the 2 pm tour and was very glad I didn’t eat lunch first. I was pretty full after just the first two tastings… but still managed to eat everything else. Amazing meatball, fish taco, bbq pork bun, the most phenomenal French pastry, matcha drink, beer/non-alcoholic cocktail, and Roger’s chocolate, all accompanied by an entertaining and educational commentary. Many of the others on the tour were locals who all really loved gaining a new look at their city. Thanks Andy for a great tour and orientation!

Very enjoyable experience for myself and my family, including my teenage daughter, who can be a picky eater. Andy was a phenomenal host, who was knowledgeable, entertaining, and extremely well-prepared (he even had preplanned all the stops so that the group would always be in shade on a particularly hot summer's day). The selections were as varied as they were delicious. Most of the time, the owner or chef would speak to the group about the establishment and/or selection. Andy also had a wealth of knowledge about the history of the areas of town that we visited. He also seemed to know precisely how much information and entertaining anecdotes to provide before moving on. He never once lost the group's interest. Without exception, the selections provided were delicious. Each of our family members agreed that we would take this tour again on future trips to Victoria. Highest recommendation, without reservation!

The walk is not too long or too short it's just right. Truly the perfect combination of everything. We did this tour with Andy on our first day in Victoria. Tasty food (of course), and Andy gave us lots of interesting information about the local landmarks and history. A perfect way to help us get our bearings at the start of our vacation, with the added benefit of eating delicious food along the way :). Andy's A Taste of Victoria food tour is a highlight of the Victoria food scene, history lesson of the city's growth and casual stroll through historic architecture. The enthusiasm and passion Andy shared with us this afternoon will encourage us to participate again when we return with family next year. Our group of 12 ranged in age from 8 to mid 60. Andy was a master at engaging and involving each of the group as we moved from taste to taste ensuring that the dietary needs of everyone were met. When Andy turned us loose at the Victoria Visitor Center on the Inner Harbor I, for one, wanted more.
