The experience completely depends on the agent you are speaking with. I have had an agent tell me one thing, and I go back and ask if the information is correct and they said no not at all. My most recent experience was with Christina Ellerbeck. I went in to confirm information for the best 22 weeks as it is a very confusing process. She was extremely hostile and very rude. I asked to speak to someone else and she said they will tell you the same thing. She tried to give me more information but it was just extremely confusing so I said I don't mind waiting and speaking to someone else. The agents should be properly trained as we (the public) rely on the information they give us.

My wife and I were there on 23 July 2018 for a passport application. One person before us waiting. We were in and out in 20 minutes. Frankly, I think complainers are often the cause of their own misery - people, read the instructions, be well prepared and you will minimize your time and overall grief. ***FOLLOW UP*** The passport arrived, delivered to our house by the postman, 22 days later. I can find no fault with this service.

Tell me how many people can get to Service Canada between 8:30 and 4:00. Not people who work for a living! I should have looked at the hours of service online before I left work, but I thought they must be open to at least 5:00. I was wrong...... How about "Servicing" the Canadians who work?

I came to Service Canada to deposit my OAS forms. I found the whole experience to be excellent. Each member of the staff from the reception to the agents was polite and helpful. I got called to Katrina’s desk within 5 minutes and Katrina quickly reviewed my application, made the required photocopies and authenticated them, went out of her way to help me. On the day I was there I didn’t find any backlog or disinterested agents. I was in and out within 10-15 minutes with a smile on my face. Thanks Service Canada!

Was sent away and told I had the wrong type of birth certificate, so I called the passport phone number and they informed me that I actually had the RIGHT birth certificate! I proceed to go back and am waiting hours and wondering why all the people who came after me are getting called before me! Turns out they never put my name on the list and had the nerve to ask me if I had left when I had been waiting there with a screaming baby the entire time! Absolutely useless and incompetent!

The staff here are super friendly and don't get mad if you ask them several questions. Great facilities too. With access to computers, Internet and printers. Left feeling like a champ!!

Staff show up 15 minutes late and slowly boot up their computer. Within 15 minutes of opening they were calling for a half hour wait. System has each employee walking around into the waiting area to call a name instead of a number and digital sign system. Been here a half hour and still a few people to go before me!

Severe lack of staff. Two security guards watching a stationary queue. Waits of well over an hour. No chairs for seniors. Only one person permitted into the office at any time. Is there only one staff member on duty? Bad...

The few times I've needed to go here there has never been a line and the staff were really helpful. My passport came in super fast.

Completely useless went in for help with my passport. The gril missed part of it and now im stuck with an extra passport photo. Also when asked what the problem was the girl on the help desk said thats not our problem.

Not helpful at all. I get that they can't renew my passport in time but they would not even look at my forms to verify they are complete before I drive 2 hours to another office. Waste of time.

We visited this location to have our passport applications reviewed. The person at the front desk took the time to ask a few questions and was able to inform us we may have one of the forms filled out incorrectly even without her reviewing the physical document. This great customer service saved us an hour and a half wait that day. We were then subsequently able to have a more thorough review another day. Great work by the front desk person!!

Staff are total AS*&^%%$, dont expect help of any kind unless you know exactly what you need, and even then chances are STAFF WILL JUST SIP THEIR COFFEE AND TELL YOU NOTHING THEY CAN DO TO HELP. Staff should be ashamed of themselves they are payed 40k a year with full pension. There is no reason they should ALL be ignorant.

Super unhelpful, I'm from out of province and had a simple task something the service canada in PEI would have done in seconds and has done numberous times before. It's unfortunate, not sure if she was misinformed or if there not getting the proper training, whatever the case, I will never return there and hopefully for the people living in these surrounding areas that have limited axcess, be afforded the infortmantion and help they need and deserve.

The service agent at the from was rude. I had a damaged passport and she informed me that I would have to go to Ottawa or Whiby. I was dissappointed because this will be a day off work for me, so I asked if she could look over my application to see if she saw any problems before I made the drive. She said no. She couldn't help. Her manner was similar to a boarder official. I went to Sophie Kiwalas office and the staff were very helpful and polite. They offered to put my application in the overnight courier bag.

Quick and efficient
