By far my favourite distillery! The drinks are sooooo good and the place is cozy. The staff are extremely friendly as well. We went there on a vacation but if I lived closer by, I would be going there every day!

Came here two weeks ago and I was blown away by the awesome cheery staff, the amazing selection of spirits, and how we got to see the process too. My girlfriend works in the industry and this was one of the if not the best of tasting experiences out of many I have had. Highly recommend!

Some of the friendliest staff you will ever meet. Super friendly, super hospitable, super passionate about what they do. Their passion definitely shows in the quality of their product. I love the small scale brewing/distilling. I hope they stay this way forever. Carry on, my Wayward son!

Honey works! In the gin, in the vodka and the limited batch rum. The hostess at the tasting room was friendly and informative. It was super cool watching the staff hand labeling the bottles. The labels are creative mini masterpieces. Having a hand numbered bottle from the first batch of rum is very special.

The only thing better than the spirits from Wayward is the people. Dave, Andrea and the rest of the crew care about what they do, and they put their love and passion into every bottle. I almost always have a 'reminder' taste at the Comox Valley Farmers' Market, and their tasting room in Courtenay is lovely as well. They are involved in the community and hold their own cool special events. And did I mention the spirits? The vodka, gin, rum and the rest are double-d ddelicious! No mix necessary.

I love gin and it was really good experience with honey based gin. Cocktails were tasty and sampling was unstoppable. You definitely can rely on Canadian veteran families in terms of distillery.

WOW, who knew honey could make such smooth and delicious booze!? The vodka is top notch, the Krupnik is a staple now in my liquor cabinet, and while I don't typically like gin, I would drink theirs. Our tasting was done by Thomas and the whole experience was great.

A very unique distillery. They make their spirits from honey rather than grain. The resulting product is not that different from your standard vodka or gin, but has just the faintest honey aroma. Also try their Depth Charge coffee liqueur. Much better tasting than Kahlua.

We have had all the flights and they are incredible. Well balanced and complex flavors. The neat drinks are also so tasty. Sam made it an excellent experience. He's like a one man show! Telling us about the distillery, how he crafted the cocktails and great conversation. Highly recommend and a must-do Courtney experience.

I give Dave and his team FIVE UNBELIEVABLE STARS. I met Dave and his team last year during the BC Shellfish and Seafood Festival and have been in love with their Gin and Vodka ever since. They use honey to make their products and it's heavenly, and completely one-of-a-kind. Wayward Distillation has also donated to my charity which speaks volumes. Thank you for everything that you do!

Like the distillery but the Vodkas just has to strong a taste for my liking. No smoothness, but that's just my palette. Prices are on the higher end to warrant me to purchase. But I will be back to try the rest.

For someone who really doesn't enjoy honey I was more than pleasantly surprised at the excellent products that can be made from fermented honey. I would recommend that everyone give it a try. I am looking forward to trying our purchases at home!

Beautiful facility making some amazing spirits. Super unique process using honey as the base ingredient for distillation. If you see their products around, definitely pick up a bottle. I highly recommend the Krupnik and the Depth Charge.

My husband and I visited on November 14th, 2021 and was helped by a lovely staff (I am so sorry I don't remember your name!). She was very sweet and helpful. The gin are absolutely amazing that I purchased a few bottles. Very very impressed with how smooth they are on their own as well mixed. Thank you so much! Stopped in today for a tour and some samples and we weren’t disappointed ! Sam was wonderful, knowledgeable and friendly, the cocktails were so tasty. We ended up leaving with the raspberry ginger vodka. Over all great experience.

We had such a great experience at Wayward Distillery. The cocktail flights are amazing and such a good value. We had Brent as a bartender and he was phenomenal, so nice and really went above and beyond to explain all the drinks and craft them. Will definitely return the next time we are in the area!
