My partner and I purchased tickets in July while we were on vacation. The company had to cancel our ride because not enough people had signed up. The company said they would refund our payment later that day. It has now been two months and we haven't received a refund. My partner and I have tried to contact the company dozens of times. The company has been extremely rude to us, and are now ignoring my messages. I am very upset with the service of this company. I wouldn't recommend booking with them if you are on vacation, there is so gaurenteed you will be reimbursed if they cancel your ride. Very disappointing.

Wonderful trail riding experience! Staff are knowledgeable and understanding, help you understand the basics of riding if you are new to it. May be a bit slow for experienced riders, but perfect for beginners. Horses are very well trained and generally stick to the trails on their own. Fly repellent is an absolute must, with long sleeved clothing if possible.

Venture stables is an amazing place filled with loving people and animals they offer something for everyone from boarding and lessons to a nice stay in a Airbnb they also do trail rides all summer and fall jasmine and the the rest of the staff are very well organized and get the job done I have been at venture stables for quite a long time and love every second of it they provide an awesome space for youth and adults me and my horse love it there!

I love Venture stables and have had a great experience! Venture Stables is a wonderful place where you can create memories, make new friends and create a bond with horses. They offer many services from lessons and trail rides to leasing and boarding! Venture does not only teach you horseback riding, because within horseback you learn patience, you learn discipline and you also find yourself. Venture is an awesome place to go and I cannot imagine what my life would be like if I had never gone to Venture. It's my place to get away from it all and strengthen my bonds with horses and myself! I would definitely recommend it for anyone learning horseback and for anyone looking to create a better bond with horses and themselves.

PEI Stuff

Booked and paid online very quickly. However when we arrived, we were told there wasn't enough staff to take us out. I was told I'd be refunded, but a month later I still haven't. Calls go unanswered, and messages ignored. I would avoid if you're a tourist because once you leave, good luck getting your money back.

Jasmine and her team were very accommodating to our needs and provided such a delightful leisurely ride. Super friendly, knowledgeable guides who are happy to give you tips. You even get to warm up in the rink before going out. With two girlfriends, we did the evening stroll through the trails appreciating the quiet farm views. I loved it so much so that I went back for the experienced ride the next day. Wow. Trotting and cantering through the fields of PEI, just magical. It is a bigger farm than expected with so many horses and lots of other animals like miniature horses, pigs, chickens, goats, cats/kittens. They even have some spa services and Airbnb stays. There’s so much too do and lots to manage. So do expect when you arrive to chase them down to get started for your ride and awkwardly walk away without a formal goodbye.

Friendly staff and horses (and cats, lots of them). I went there during the winter and they have an inside arena, I did not feel cold. They teach you how to saddle the horse and help you build confidence when riding them. I am heavy and I was worried about the horses, but they have huge animals. Highly recommend the place.

My friend and I were visiting from Toronto and headed to Venture Stables to do the early morning experienced ride! If you have riding experience and are comfortable on horses, especially with experience in trail riding, I highly recommend this ride! There’s something special and calming about morning rides when mist is still burning off and the world is still somewhat quiet. The experienced ride includes jogging, trotting, and some short canters! In addition all the animals and horses at Venture looked very happy and healthy! The Great Dane and three legged pup along with all the others are beautiful animals! Thank you to Jasmine for a great ride, we both appreciated it!

We wanted to do something different on this trip and we were so glad to try Venture Stables. We did their Talking With Horses package (through experience PEI). It was so worth getting the extra time in the barn, getting to know our horses a bit better by learning how to greet them properly, grooming them, and saddling them up. We also got a quick run down on how to communicate with horses using body language and a few other techniques. After our awesome experience in the barn we headed out to do an hour or so trail ride down a farm road and through some actual farm land where potatoes and corn was growing. We had a blast! The horse I rode (Doc) was an absolute gentleman and he gets 7/5 stars! There was also a very chill Turkey, kittens, bunnies, goats and 2 of the most beautiful and sweet Great Danes a girl could ever hope to meet. Honestly this made our trip really special, I think it will become a regular thing on our future trips to PEI!

Venture Stables has changed my life. I went to Venture originally for Co-op for school. The day I went to Venture Stables I fell in love. From day one Jasmine and Marc, and all of the staff have welcomed me with open arms, not to mention the rest of the team. After my Co-op ended I knew I was going to continue going. I have been at venture for over a year now almost 2. I have been to a few other barns before venture and I didn’t fit in. Venture isn’t the type of barn where you have you’re lesson and you leave, each and everyone of the students are like family!!! Before I went to Venture I didn’t know much about horses, Jasmine has guided me and she has taught me so much. Jasmines passion is clear, she wants her barn to be a safe spot for everyone to go to , she wants to share and teach her passion for horses with others, she wants to be a mentor for all ages! And her passion is clear, she shows it everyday. She has given me the opportunity to live the life I dreamed, work with horses and mentor youth. I am so thankful for everyone at venture!! The minute I went to Venture I felt at home. I HIGHLY recommend Venture Stables!! My favourite part about Venture is the way they treat their horses, if you are looking for a place to board or to take lessons I highly recommend!! Each and every horse is taken care of. The horses are apart of the family♥️

Took some 2 to 5 year olds for horseback rides here. They were great with the kids and there were lots of other animals to look at... Ponies, goats, chickens, a pig, and lots of kittens. Spent just over an hour here with 4 kids.

Took a trail riding lesson for beginners mid September 2021. The atmosphere at the stables was welcoming and easygoing, but also very professional. My trail ride was a great pleasure. I was riding a beautiful, mild -natured and very smart horse Peynton. This was very helpful, because Peynton knows a lot about beginner riders and I do not know anything about riding. My trail instructor was Jackie, very knowledgable and patient teacher. She provided proper and timely guidance and instructions and at the same time was a pleasant riding companion. She answered lots of my silly and curious, beginner questions. Thank you Jackie. Horses are such a beautiful animals and time spent with them leaves me with the smile on my face and something nice to remember.

Venture Stables is the place to go to have a good laugh and lots of fun, when I first got there they asked me questions like if I have ever ridden a horse before and if I was nervous by those questions they where able to pare us up with a horse to make a perfect match, I booked for the sunset ride and it was beautiful watching the sun slowly go down as we rode a long corn field and potato fields. Most importantly big thank you to the staff and of course the wonderful horses for the memory made, the next time I come to Prince Edward Island I will for sure be going back. We arrived early but for some reason they were late starting our group. The guide was yelling about being 30 mins behind schedule. They saddled us up and told everyone how to hold the reins but absolutely nothing else. She began the outing by disrespectfully yelling at several riders (one a child) before even leaving the driveway about their horses being too close and passing each other....even though nobody was instructed on how to start, stop or even slow the horses. Her words were, "I don't feel like repeating myself a million times to people", as if we all were experienced riders. I spent my trip trying to slow my horse to avoid confrontation with the horse in front of mine. During the trip my wife's horse was riding too close to my son's and the guides were yelling to get them apart but of course she didn't know how and in a matter of seconds my son's horse kicked her setting off a chain of events with her horse going bananas. My son was lucky enough to have had a little past training elsewhere and was able to stay on and calm his ride. Unfortunately, my wife ended up on the ground bruised and sore. All of this could have been avoided had they taken as much time as they did having us sign waivers to instruct on the basics of what the rider would need to know in order to control the horse for the outing. Simply put, if this is how they operate then their lack of due diligence will end up in an accident and a lawsuit...waivers or not. My recommendation: Go with a more professional, personable and experienced company.

Venture stables offers amazing lessons and trail rides! they have amazing staff that are so nice and will help you whenever you need help. they have an indoor and outdoor arena. I don't know where i would be without the people at this barn! Awesome place with lots happening! We saw horses, cats, dogs, chickens, and even some baby bunnies. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and made experienced and novice riders all feel comfortable. The trail itself is beautiful and easy to ride. Deffinately a return visit when we are in PEI again!

Staff are very nice. We were asked to arrive 30min in advance due to sunset time but we didn't see the message and the staff still give us entire horseback trail riding. Strongly recommended to everyone. Horses like to eat grass while riding, it's fun to control but cannot make horses speed up while riding due to we are all in beginner level.

I just read up on this company and some of the reviews the one that stood out the most for me is from ERIK and Erin wanting a refund, the response from the owner was very nasty and condescending these customers were just trying to get a refund how are these customers suppose to know about your personal life, you made it sound that these people were more worried about getting there refund or getting to ride on a horse instead of being concerned about your son, again stating that how are they to know about your personal life.. it is very unfortunate about your son however when you are running a business you must be professional at all time. Thank you for your response , again showing your arrogance as owners of a company,, I hope you guys got your refund ,
