Wow I called CAA for a tow when i was in halifax. I told her I'll meet the tow truck driver out there I'll be 15mins. Guy was already there. Super speedy pick up.. great guy wish i knew his name super friendly. My car was parked on a dealership lot he went by the book to identify it was my car.. which was very professionally done.. I love CAA. If you dont have it get it so many perks for a premium rate of $16 per month.. thanks again guys.. even had my motorcycle towed....
HORRIBLE SERVICE. I used up my tows for the year. So I tried to renew the membership so I would be covered and they told me I can't do that. I have to wait until the membership expires in 3 months. So if I need a service call I am screwed...ridiculous
Good for maps and towing. It also has a vehicle registries, which has always been under staffed and very time consuming. The travel services is good. The insurance is very expensive, I used to be a customer for years, then they jacked their rates.

Very helpful staff. I relocated from Alberta to nova Scotia and needed to get car insurance and apartment insurance. Rates were much cheaper than Alberta as well as other places I got quotes on. I highly recommend insurance of any kind from caa....no hastle insurance company.

We had an absolutely fantastic service from CAA this morning! I spoke with Nicole when I initially called who was incredibly pleasant and helpful. We called from within Charlottetown. We were having issues starting our car in a parking lot on University Ave, and figured our battery was dead. 5 minutes (which I still can’t believe) after I made the call, Paul showed up to help. Paul was amazing, informative, and gave us all the options we needed. He also wore a mask and was very vigilant about Covid guidelines. After running some tests he said we needed to replace our battery. He said we could wait and shop around for a deal elsewhere but we decided it was best to do it sooner than later. I don’t know how long it usually takes for a battery to be replaced, haha, but he did it within 20 mins! We are truly amazed with the service we got today. Thank you so much to Nicole and especially Paul. I don’t think it could’ve gone any better today!

CAA provides too, other than flights-tickets, cruises-planning, also Insurances for visitors as well as for our overseas trips, car insurances etc. Very friendly staff. I realized too, that members - CAA-associates are entitled to a 10 percent discount on meals at certain restaurants.
CAA use to be good, left stranded with a broken brake line becouse R&D towing (St.Johns) did not want to tow when he arived. Better to keep CAA fees in your pocket and pay fòr tow truck if you ever need one

Called them to get an auto quote. Got placed on hold... After 90 MINUTES on hold I GAVE UP and HUNG UP. Talk about ridiculous!!! No means to leave a name and number for a call back - just have to sit and listen to same message every two minutes to have patience. I guess they're not wanting new business.

Called to cancel insurance for one of my vehicles. Spoke with an agent after being on hold for a few minutes. As soon as I mentioned I needed to cancel insurance for a vehicle, I was "transferred" where I waited on hold for 90 minutes before an agent answered. No call back service, no estimated wait time, just waiting in limbo, listening to the same 20 second clip of music and " Thank you for your patience" message over and over and over........I couldn't help but feel that CAA was hoping I would just hang up. For goodness sake, at least get a call back service, that wait time is completely unacceptable...On a positive note, the agent was very pleasant and helpful and everything completed in about 3 minutes.

This is a rant I put on Facebook a short time ago. After going from the west side to pay this bill, this is what I get. I just learned from CAA that you need an APPOINTMENT to pay your insurance ... If not , they put you on a phone to somewhare to someone, ( Maybe in this office ) By the way I had gone to the office on Westmorland Rd.to pay the bill.As I said,I need an appointment to pay you $ 1000.00 ??? .When this nice retail lady handed me the phone ( She was not nasty oer anything ) for me to do this myself.,I hung up the phone and left. And to follow up,all that needed to be done was to pay $ 57.00 for the upgrade to my new car.The policy was already updated & I had my pink card.,That thousand dollers is next month and might just go to another company,I have heard of horrible customer service,but hhis is foolishness.And to finish my rant CAA will be very hard pressed to keep me

I have been a member for years and keep renewing my membership because I believe the service they provide is worth the money, even if you don't use all of the available services regularly.
I spent upwards of 20 hours on the phone with various insurance companies before finding a person at CAA that knew how to bring over my insurance from BC without quoting us as if my wife was never insured before (ICBC does not list secondary drivers in the insurance history). A display of incompetence and ignorance of their own business from the rest of the NS insurance market that beggars belief. Thanks to CAA for saving our wallets
Hard to rate because they would not even give me an insurance quote based on the fact that I allowed my drivers license to expire for a bit while I was not driving. Never been in an accident.

Not the best experience the first time I called but totally saved me from a long night on the side of a dark road a few days later.
I moved to NB from AB (having AMA/CAA) and so I notified them of this change and then decided to renew with my PLUS membership that i was happy to pay for and also added my car insurance to this...which is done separate ...not that much of an issue but i was NOT happy to find out I was paying not for exact same service but I do not get my children's FREE memberships under age 16 that was previously including in my AMA PLUS membership and so was FREE gas delivery if this is NOT included why isn't this a Basic membership if I am receiving less?? Now I just will not be renewing my services and no explanation as to why or that this was NOT included ?

This company is a waste of good money. I have a neighbor who has CAA and when she calls they take hours to respond. It does not matter what the weather, what the hour or what the problem, they are as fast as a snail in cold weather going up hill. I also have a sister-in-law who bought into this scam and she finds the same thing, it takes forever to get someone on the line and it also takes forever for someone to be sent to the member's aide. Lousy company....No good and I would never recommend anyone to buy into this crappy service.

Jan 6th 2022. During storm I got stuck in snow on Dorchester st st John NB. I called CAA and they come and said they couldn't help me and left me stranded sideways on the street almost blocking what 4x4 traffic that could get thru. They told me they would come back next day 9am. Good thing I had a full tank of gas and a bed if needed in my van. Thankfully loyalist towing come by maybe by request of the police and they winched me out. This was not even attempted by CAA tow truck driver. Thank you loyalist towing and shame on CAA. CAA is going to reimburse me for the loyalist towing charges they said. Have to wait to see if this happens. Other than this bad experience CAA have helped me in the past with keys locked in my van. I understand the storm made it hard for them to do the job but they could of called a towing company that could of done it rather than leaving me stranded a bad situation...
Called CAA last evening for roadside assistance and after waiting an hour no one showed up to assist me with unlocking my car to achieve my car keys. Had to call a family member
CAA offers a package to ensure motorists that if anything goes wrong with the vehicle yours or anyone else's you happen to be in, they will be there to help. When I need roadside assistance i am very happy to have their card in my wallet . They also have a terrific travel agency and many more things. All CAA locations offer the same services, pick the location that is convenient to your area

The secretary was incredibly helpful, helped me figure out who I needed to talk to as a first time buyer and helped set me up. She was also super friendly and helped me feel less nervous. Phenomenal job by her! However, the agent I was transferred to was unfortunately very unprofessional. While trying to figure out information on insurance plans, she told me I should google it and hung up without saying anything.

There customer care service is absolutely terrible. Waited online for someone to answer for 35 minutes first try & the next day I waited 45 minutes for an agent. Even their recommended glass service provider couldn`t get through after waiting 1 hour online. Guaranteed for clients not to renew insurance.

I attempted to purchae auto insurance online, waited over 30 minutes my first attempt no answer waited over 60 minutes the second time no answer only ever received recording please wait on the line. Decided to go into Westmorland Rd. location to try and to talk with agent, was told he was in a meeting would call me back in an hour, but welcomed to try online, waited over 4 hours, no return call yet. Strange business model.
More turnover here than a bakery. Staff is always different every time I visit. That's a red flag. Clear indication of how poor the employees are treated. Time to review the management here.

I have been a member with the CAA for 15 years, always paid my auto insurance and never had any problem until the day they found out they want to cancel my van insurance, a Chevrolet Express Van, because they thought it was used commercially, which it is not. I use the van just as other people use their pickup. But they cancelled the insurance. A complaint is going to the ombudsmann. I can only say stay away from the CAA. They suck!

Worst customer service ever from my so called accident adjuster. She doesn't return calls or communicate in anyway. The only reason I knew what was happening with my car and rental coverage is because the businesses I was dealing with called me. My adjuster has spoken to me once for less than 5 minutes since I filed my claim on Feb 7th!!! I had to go into the office and complain before the responded to my physio group who had been trying to reach them for 2 weeks! On hold for hours!!! Yes hours trying to reach her only to get voice mail and no return calls! Will be switching companies as soon as my claim is closed . Do not buy insurance from them if you want a company that communicates with you!!!

I could write out my FULL experiences with CAA but that would take even longer then this. So I will sum it up. I have been driving for 21 years and twice in the last year I have had a accident. The first one was my fault. It cost almost 18,000 dollars to fix my vehicle. I payed 1000 deductible that used my accident forgiveness perk. Insurance did not go up. 5 months later, I hit a Deer. After my last accident I changed my insurance to the best CAA had to offer. Which cost me 5 dollars more a month. So this time when I called it was a no fault accident and cost me 100 dollars on my deductible for a 3000 dollar fix. My insurance still did not increase. Now let's talk about my adjuster Ernie from St. John, I hope you don't mind me name dropping you. If you are reading this, Thank you very much for your reasurance, compassion, understanding and your extreme polite professionalism. You sir are a excellent representative for your company. You deserve a raise for just what you have done for me. CAA reward this man. He says nothing but fantastic things about you as a company. I will be a CAA member for the rest of my life because of him. Thank your for everything and I look forward to never working with you again. Lol, Cheers bud.

Sent me to Danas Collision for an estimate. Estimate is 10X what it will cost to fix the car. Had to wait on the phone for well over an hour to close the claim. Will take 24 -48 hours for a supervisor to call me once I finally got through. I'm not impressed at all.

Very poor customer service. I needed help but did not have an account with CAA, I got a rude response saying they could not help and to call other tow companies. The employee did not care the slightest about my situation and quickly dismissed my call.
Terrible customer service. We have been CAA members for years and have our car insurance through them. Three days ago we had an accident with our car. We have had to call three times and each time we've waited for over an hour on the phone with the same recording on loop every 30 seconds to drive you off. Going to look into a different provider.

Ive never had to wait more than 20 mins for a tow driver, no matter where i am. Great service and well worth the monthly fees. One guy even changed battery on the spot with a 6 yr warranty. And it was only 200.00 taxes in. Compared to my other car battery put in by a garage that cost me over 500.00 for same brand of battery. So, its well worth having CAA.

The tow truck guy here, I believe his name is Josh, was amazing. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Attempt to fix the problem and diagnose it before having to tow it. The store personel, I can't say the same. Research the policies before agreeing to a product. They are quick to convince you to buy extras.
