I could not have been happier with my Orca Camp experience and the service provided by all of the Wildcoast Staff and Guides. We saw Orcas (it's not guaranteed!) and really enjoyed the "glamping" = glamour camping luxuries such as a hot shower, hot tub, sauna, and more. The forecast said 95+ F but it felt like 55 at night to 80 at mid-day by and on the ocean. The guides are literally trained in outdoor adventure tourism and do everything they can to make your stay comfortable. The optional resort and adventure experience was really fantastic and gave us more time just to take in the view and enjoy the food.

Full day tour with Nova was an amazing experience. She's and not only an experienced kayak guide but also an experienced whale tour/bear guide. Lots of interesting insights about wildlife and culture of the area. Highly recommended. Side note: Lunch provided by Island farm to table is amazing!

An unbelievable West Coast Adventure. Truly experience the nature and beauty of what this area of the world has to offer. Wildcoast didn't just put together a kayaking trip for us; they knitted together a complete package of wildlife experiences including a whale watching tour onboard a Zodiac, swimming, hiking, and camping! Always playing true and staying environmentally conscious of their surroundings. Felt incredibly comfortable and catered to in every way. Great way to spend my husband's birthday; surrounded by some five-star friends as well! After this 4 Day Whales & Wildlife package; it is definitely in our plans to return and experience Orca Camp.

(Translated) We booked a five-day kayak tour. I had a similar great tour 4 years ago with Daemon and this second trip with our guides Julie and Bandor was just great. We had except a little wind in the evening very good weather. We always ate well and never went to bed hungry. By good is not meant any soups and simple dishes, but from salmon with grilled vegetables to Eggs Benedict for breakfast In addition to seals, white-headed eagle, a lot of starfish you might also see whales with a bit of luck. Unfortunately one day the wind was so strong that we could not do kayak trips. However, we spent a relaxing and very amusing day at the lake. The equipment (tents, sleeping bags, ThermaRest, etc) is new and leaves nothing to be desired. Many thanks for this great experience and we look forward to the next time!

Incredible experience. We did the Orca Camp and can’t say enough good things about the boat ride, guides, accommodation, location, and food! I am celiac so was worried about the food situation, but was in such good hands and had a generous safe gluten free meal with everyone else :) thank you so much WildCoast - you will come highly recommended!

Everything was perfect, the guides are very passionate and kind. The food was delicious. The remote location with nature was perfect and we DID see orcas. The best experience I have done so far!

We did a family trip around the Discovery Islands to celebrate my mother's 60th birthday. It was fantastic. Wildcoast took great care of us! Our guides were so lovely and knowledgable. The scenery and wildlife were spectacular- humpbacks, sea lions, eagles, and colonies of seals! The food was quite impressive for a 6 day trip. My whole family loved it. We definitely recommend it.

We just got back from a 3 day kayak expedition in and around Quadra and Read Island. From the second we showed up to the final (masked!) hugs goodbye, this was a 5 star+ experience. Nova, our guide was professional, calm and super tuned into the needs of the group, and stayed positive and motivating throughout a couple of challenging weather situations. The food was well beyond expectation for a wilderness camping trip (shrimp tacos, cheesecake, and the Sunday morning eggs benny was a pretty sweet sendoff!) Despite changing winds, some heavy rain, and navigating some big swell that set off my kayak buddy into some pretty serious motion sickness, Nova kept her cool, and kept on smiling. There was lots of opportunities for learning about the geography, birds, marine creatures, and not one, but TWO incredible surprise encounters with a pod of orcas. I can't reccomend this experience highly enough, and am looking forward to another trip next year. Photos to come!

Wildcoast Adventures was great and I would gladly try a different trip with them again. I went on the 4 day whales and wildlife trip. We saw a number of humpback whales, eagles, seals and glided over whirlpool on a zodiac. Shoutout to Tyler from Campbell River whale watching for being so enthusiastic and informative the entire whale watching trip. We hiked to a fresh water lake in the middle of Read Island and it was absolutely stunning. The food provided was delicious and the shrimp tacos even had taco holders! The area was very secluded and we were well taken care of! :)

Absolutely fantastic experience with a delightful guide. We will definitely be back!

Spent 4 magical days at Orca Camp with my son... saw whales (!) but so much more as well: built inukshuks, did some hiking, paddling, enjoyed beautiful landscapes & great food, plus the accommodations exceeded my expectations.

Great operator - We did a day trip with out 13 and 14 year old kids. Wildcoast is very professionally run - on time, great equipment and excellent location in the Discovery Islands. Highly recommended

Absoutley phenomenal trip. Went to orca camp and the site was beautiful. All the guides were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. And there was nothing better than coming in after a chilly morning paddle to a hot breakfast! From the food, beds, views and animal life literally everything was perfect. The team at wildcoast were incredibly professional and handled an emergency evacuation due to weather with professionalism and ease (first emergency evacuation in ten years!). Once in a life time experience.

We took in a full day kayak tour around Harriot Bay, it was amazing! Lots to see, Damon shared lots of stories and info about everywhere we paddled, was conscious about our safety at all times, made sure we got breaks in when we needed it. The lunch provided was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend booking with Wildcoast and we will definitely be booking again in the future.

Rebecca Martens

Incredible guides, great food, camping gear just right for the occasion and incredible scenery! Will make this a yearly treat.

My wife and I had an opportunity to take part in a 4 day Orca Camp this summer. The entire trip was excellent from start to finish. We hope to take an annual trip with Wildcoast to experience the beauty and peacefulness of the beautiful BC coast.

Randy Trudeau

Great tour with a great and knowledgeable guide! We did the Gowlland harbour half day tour as we were limited on time and it was a great experience, saw lots of seals who followed us around for quite a bit ????. Our guide Bender was great and knew all about the wildlife. Only regret is that we didn't do one of the longer tours!

I joined the July 31 Discovery Island 6-day Kayaking trip and it was beyond AMAZING! the locations/islands we camped and stopped by were breathtaking and we were able to see wildlife from a very close distance (whales, seals, Eagles, Dolphins, tons of jelly fish). The serenity this trip has to offer is just beyond words. The camping equipment smelled fresh when opened and they are very new and easy to use. Sleeping mat & pillow were comfy. The food was just to die for, with a good variety and properly seasoned and prepared. We had crispy skin Salmon and cheese cake for the first night! How can you beat that?! Our guides Nolan and Josh were super friendly, helpful and knowledgable. They worked non-stop to make sure everyone is take care of. Quite often I could heard someone in the group commented "OMG they need to take a break!!" I booked this trip as a retriev from a very stressful work situation, and I came home happy, refreshed and feel like a different person. I will definitely recommend Wildcoast. P.S Val who man the office was also very helpful before the trip on all communication, clothing/camera equip suggestions. She even picked me up from the ferry terminal. The first night we stayed at Gowlland Harbour Resorts and it was very good with amazing views.

Esther Clausen

Our guide was very knowledgeable and competent. She made us feel welcome and gave us so much encouragement along the way. She even showed a a bird I hadn’t seen before ..”oyster catcher”…wonderful!. The price is reasonable …you will certainly feel that you got your money’s worth!

Cindy Oxenbury

I had such a great time at Orca Camp! We experienced so much wildlife, even a bear on the first day, but the most humbling of all were the beautiful orcas. Highly recommended adventure!!

Stephanie Wilson

We just spent an awesome 4 days at Wildcoast Orca Camp. From the minute we walked in to check-in to the time we left the dock on the final day, the services was exceptional! Our guides were knowledgeable, fun and attentive. Food was great and the facilities were comfortable. The wood fired hot tub was a bonus and an excellent view for spotting whales. The kayaking was great fun and we saw, bears, dolphins, humpbacks and orcas! Plus many more sea creatures. I would definitely recommend this company for your kayak vacation and I can’t wait to go back next summer.
