We had an amazing experience with Discovery West. Josh and Chelsea are so knowledgeable and experienced with the area and the local wildlife. At the end of the season, they went out of their way to find us countless humpbacks, stellar sealions, harbour seals, harbour porpoises, and Dall's porpoises. The 6 hour tour went by so fast, and we will definitely be back for more. Absolutely recommend!!

Took my visiting parents on the 6-hour tour, and it was wonderful! Josh helped my nervous-on-boats dad feel at ease, and we got VERY lucky and saw bears, humpbacks, sea lions, dolphins, and some seals were even in the harbour as we docked. Highly recommend this tour.

My fiance and I had an amazing experience today! We weren't sure if we were going to see anything at first and we were really fine with just seeing all the islands and the beauty around Campbell River but luck was on our side and not only did we see one pod of Orcas but two (one of which was super active and breaching). We also lucked out and saw Seals, Sea Lions and a black bear. Josh was amazing and very knowledgeable and I will 100% be going again in the summer in hopes to catch see some humpback ❤

Amazing experience! We saw hundreds of dolphins and 24 orcas and multiple Dall’s porpoises and harbour porpoises. Josh is a wonderful guide and we can’t wait to go again!

Josh and the group down at discovery west offer a real ocean adventure experience ! We were out today and saw a harbour seal ,humpback whales and killer whales going up to desolation sound! We had the pleasure of booking the boat and going out as a family group. Josh was amazing, knowledgable and friendly. I would highly recommend to go with discovery west to get out and see what our beautiful island and surrounding islands look like from the water. Definitely something all locals to the island should try at least once! We got to see eagles, saloons, porpoises and orcas hunting those porpoises. As well as a beautiful spot for lunch and a fun boat ride

I did the 6 hour whale watching tour and it was such an amazing experience from start to finish! I've never seen whales before so I was so excited for this tour, and let me tell you it did not disappoint...we saw so many whales! Not only was the trip amazing but Chelsea and Josh were too. Chelsea answered all of my questions in detail and in a timely manor during the booking process and Josh, the skipper, was a pleasure to be around on the tour! He was so knowledgable about the area and had great stories to keep us entertained in between the whale sightings! We even were lucky enough to spot a few dolphins. I would recommend their tour to everyone!

Amazing experience! Our boat captain Josh was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the area and all the wildlife. Despite having some pretty bad weather in the morning it was quite comfortable since the front half of the boat is covered and dry (huge improvement on the exposed whale watching boats who I felt a little sorry for that day). Even with all the rain and fog we still managed to see at least six humpbacks and several groups of porpoises before we stopped for lunch. I highly recommend these guys for amazing quality of service at a really good price as well!

We went on a COVID safe tour. Josh was a wonderful guide. We did not get to see any whales (which was not Josh's fault ). The whirlpools, dolphins, standing waves, scenery and commentary and history lessons about different areas made up for it. Thank you for a memorable day Josh.
