Global Work and Travel is officially a hack, they make you pay over $2000 dollars and yet you still have to pay for the flights, which are like over a thousand dollars and you need to pay a fee of $425 or more for a working visa, you can save even more money on expedia it's insane. Don't waste your time on this website, you are only loosing money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I happily booked a trip before all the pandemic issue started growing worldwide. Unfortunately for me , my entire life situation changed and I was no longer eligible to do the Teach abroad program i had picked. My unique situation for the trip was had ABOLUTELY NO administration work done on my profile! Meaning I had NO departure date, NO flight booked, NO living accommodation set up, NO Job arranged for me. SO when I call to inquire about a possible refund I was baffled when they said they are not obligated to list me the administrative work they had done for my package. I even offered to prove to them my situation that I could provided them proof of my job lost and housing lost. I am starting to get back on my feet and the deposit I had with them could greatly improve my situation but no. My first initial call with them I know was a basic sales call as i noticed they didnt even bother to properly write my name in their booking references. The first time i called my booked advisor to let him know of my situation he did not even bother to write an update on my situation , rather he just said to transfer the credit to someone else. I find it saddening as i tried and everyone I inquire had a some sort of dissatifaction from this company, ; either trip accomodations not properly met, issues encountered on trip. And they had no interest in getting further programs from Global.

Such a rewarding experience they provided me. They work with local organizations and people to create an experience you otherwise would not be able to create for yourself and they do it so easily it leaves you with little to nothing to worry about! Ellyse was the person I worked with for my trip to Costa Rica and she couldn't have done a better job! She made sure to check in regularly before my trip to make sure I had everything ready including helping me navigate all the COVID procedures to get into the country. This was my first solo trip and I have to say I don't think it would have been possible without Global Work & Travel or without Ellyse's help!

Whatever you do, do not book anything through this company. The biggest scam of a company out there. They rip you off, make fake promises and are charge extortionately. They use sales tactics and scripts to lure in customers by promising them jobs abroad and a dream trip. This couldn't be further from the truth. They will simply arrange your airfare (at a higher than market price) and cut ties with you when you land in your destination. I don't know how anyone leaves them positive reviews (besides their employees who are encouraged to do so) this company are nothing more than con artists. Whatever you do - stay away!

This company straight up stole $1000 from me. They promised me help with getting a VISA, setting up a job and finding accomidations. They did none of the above. When i was on the phone with the agent she told me this whole shpeel about all the great things she would do for me, said I had to pay first and after I had I told her my plan to go for 3 months and she said she wouldnt help me unless i stayed for 6 months. I said I would and then she still never helped me. This is a SCAM. Do not give them any money.

My boyfriend and I both went through The Global Work & Travel Co. It was really easy to deal with them. Before we left on our trip, if we had any questions, we could just email our coordinator and she would get back to us that same business day with helpful information. When we arrived, they made it really easy to open a bank account, get a SIN number and other things that are daunting when moving to a new country. Would recommend going if you are not confident with doing it by yourself.

Had a really positive experience. Trip coordinators and everyone I was in contact with were very patient with me considering how slack I was at getting everything payed on time and getting documents on time etc. Got the first job we were offered which made the whole experience so easy. It was good that everything is booked for you before you come as airport transfers/long haul flights really take everything out of you. Orientation was really helpful. You get a one year membership with HI hostels which is awesome and 25% off greyhounds and other things which is awesome. Would definitely recommend using these guys!

100% I wouldn't be in Canada right now if it wasn't for Global! Special thanks to Eimear and Stacey. I signed up before Covid after learning about the age cut off of 35. I was 34 at the time. No one knew we were about to get hit with a global pandemic. When the borders closed, I thought I wouldn't get to go because I didn't have enough time with my age. Loads of people online said that you don't need a company, just go here, do this, do that. I didn't have time on my side and I had never done anything like this before, so I made the decision to use Global. I still followed all the online forums and groups but to be honest, most of the time, I found the free support to not be very helpful. Eimear helped me with absolutely every step. She even told me what to write on forms and in letters she answered the most random questions and was (still is) always super friendly. She has been the main point of contact for me and my knight in sparkly, glitter armour. Stacey was my Travel Concierge. She was super helpful organising flights. My exemption to leave the country didn't come through before my flights (not Stacey's fault - it was just due to unpredictable times with the pandemic). Stacey managed to cancel my flights so that I did not get charged as a no show. She kept in constant communication with me, booked me a hotel, another Covid test, new flights and it all worked out great. After going through the process, I can see how so much of the free advice you get online is either wrong, incomplete or just not explained very well. If I had not signed up with Global, at 35 and a half, I would not have made it here before turning 36. The entire team is excellent! Thanks so much Eimear and Stacey for making this happen!

While some of their help was great, if I had to do it again, I would save myself the money and do everything myself. They overcharge for everything and if you do enough research and join Facebook groups for people who are also going to your country of choice, it's fairly easy to do yourself.

At times it was frustrating with the lack of job opportunities I initially received but this could have also been due to the late start to the winter season. I would have liked to have organised a job before arriving in Canada but I was offered after only having been here 3 days and overall I am happy with the service.

When I initially decided to do a season overseas, I didn't really know when or where I wanted to do it. (I'm from Melbourne, Australia). I looked up google and Global Work and Travel Co. were one of the first options to come up. I navigated through their website and made an enquiry. Within 24hrs I was contacted and pretty much signed up straight away. I guess the things that drew me were the support I would be given from the steps needed to get my work visa, job opportunities, to support 24/7 from when I arrived and other perks as well. I worked with about 5 different people from the company and it was good to be able to work with people from different departments even though it got a bit confusing sometimes. Each member of the team was efficient, helpful and responsive, and I appreciated this aspect of the experience as I like to get things done. The downsides were the job opportunities available. I got 3, however wished that I were given a few more. I feel that this may be part of the nature of seasonal work and dependent on partner employers and weather, as well as your particular experiences in your cv. That being said, my choice in the end was Blue Mountain, Ontario and I am super excited to be heading there early next week. Tips: Keep in mind that you can book your own flights and insurance if the cost is slightly unmanageable, I found that depending on where you came from, this varied but was happy to pay the price for ease and efficiency. Arriving in Canada was easy enough, the process from customs through to attaining a working visa took around 90min as the airport was very busy and hostel was 30min from the airport via aerocar. The hostel is fantastic, clean, free breaky, discounts and providing true Canadian/Vancouverian (haha) experiences. Oh and the weather was a mix of rainy, cloud and sun. That's a Vancouver November for you. But I was still able to do the activities I set out to do- bike ride around Stanley Park, head to Granville Island Market and will be going out to the Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain tomorrow. I definitely prepared with a rain poncho and umbrella. Apart from the touristy stuff, orientation was straight forward and I finally got to meet my trip coordinator (Chrissy) and was able to complete the final requirements for working in Canada (bank account and social security). Thanks so much Global Work and Travel.Co! This is definitely a bucket list item checked off my list. :) (4.5stars) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

They charged me for a 12-month working visa and only found out at immigration at Vancouver Airport that as an Italian passport holder I was entitled to a 6-month work permit. Never mind Global Work and Travel’s pushy sales tactics they don’t actually provide any service to you. I booked a volunteer trip to Thailand to this past January. Once i arrived i found all my reservations were canceled. I called many times with no answer. At this point i was in a panic as this was the first time i had ever travelled alone. Once i had finally received a call back the lady was EXTREMELY rude. I was told there was nothing they could do and the lady actually told me that it was my problem........... I have no clue what the purpose of paying them was. Save yourself the stress and money and book it yourself.

Awesome experience, especially if you have never done much travelling or never been to another country. They point you in the right direction and give you step by step instructions all the way. Having a job secured before even arriving has been the biggest relief. Definitely recommend.

This experience was really rushed and forced to make a quick sale. Alot of information was very misleading. Everything was overcharged. If you are looking for an experience I highly urge you to do your homework yourself. It will save you so much time and money. Looking back now I could have done 2 big travels with what I spent on just 1, that didnt even work out when getting to my destination. I'm even being charged by this company to change my flight with the same airline.... Plus the quotes of flights you will get through this organization are far more expe sive then booking your own. Its ridiculous. If I hadn't been so rushed through this company to book and pay and tried mapping out my own travels I would not be out hundreds and hundreds of dollars. My agent also told me she would touch base with me when I arrived. It's been over a week and I just got an email from her, and not helpful at all. I'm at the point where I dont care to get a dime back. I'm just glad to be done with this.

This company is unreliable and does not know what they are talking about. I booked a trip with them to go to London in three months and after I paid them they didn't contact me for three weeks. When they finally contacted me back, they told me that the sales rep had made a mistake and they couldn't sponsor my visa because I am a US citizen looking to go to the UK. I knew from my own research that it was difficult to go to the UK as a US citizen and asked the sales rep about this at least three times and he insisted that there was no issue. They completely messed up all of my plans. I wouldn't trust them again. If I could give zero stars I would!

At first I thought Global was a scam but decided to follow through and go on a working holiday to Australia. Their HQ there is actually very professional. Unfortunately their organizational and communication skills are lacking. After being in Australia for over 2 weeks without a job, I had to find my own accommodation as the first four nights only are covered by Global. During the process of finding me work, I specifically told them I would like work in hospitality as I have a strong background bartending. Only 1 of the 4 opportunities they found for me involved what I actually asked, it’s like they didn’t really listen. The job was also very far away from where I was located so I had to buy a plane ticket to get there. None of which was covered by Global itself. In the end I came back to Canada after the third week. Overall, the communication really sucked. They really just try to suck the money out of you when it comes to flights/insurance/expense. Would not recommend, either go on a working holiday on your own or use another company.

They helped me out with every process along the way and it were super easy to contact. Being assigned to an agent the whole time made a really personal experience too. Keep in mind to be flexible with your travel plans though as they cannot achieve the impossible and find your dream job in an the perfect town. All round I have had a good experience with global travel and it has made travelling to Canada very easy. I have had a better experience working with the Canadian department, it was just much easier as it was one person to help sort out everything out. Where as the Australian side there are so many departments and every time you finish a step you get new person for the next step. This then leads to being a bit confused as who you need to talk about a certain things. But my coordinator in Canada was always there to help me out and fix any problems.

Very manipulative in trying to get sales. While they were helpful in the beginning of the trip, they didn’t listen to my concerns or offer any help with new job placements. My coordinator changed 4 times and never even spoke to 2 of them. If I was to do it again I would save my money and just do it all my self. I’ve already gotten myself 2 new jobs without their help. Service was great but super over priced. I felt like it was just cost pilling up after cost that they didn't really disclose at the start. Found alternative travel insurance etc for the same service but a third of the price. Concierge was really helpful and prompt but sometimes it was a little bit annoying when I would ask several questions in one email and only get a response to a few or ask a question then refer back to later in a different email and \i would get a different response. Also hard to keep track of all the trip coordinators/travel concierge/flights people/etc.
