Awesome staff, great boat with lots of room to sit and walk around. It was windy that day, the staff was nice and knowledgable! They provide gloves and other things to keep you warm!! I strongly recommend this tour if you want a good experience!

Greg Maslak

Great whale watch. They took us to where orcas were recently reported even though it was quite a ways away. Boat was really comfortable, which helped with the long ride. Had coats, hats and gloves to help us deal with the weather. Orca sightings were awesome. And the orca commentary and knowledge from the Captain was very interesting.

nitya srinivas

Throughly enjoyed whale watching experience. I saw orcas, humpback whale, sea lions, eagles and some more animals. Very friendly staff. Covid precautions were taken appropriately

WOW what a great day! Seeling the killer whales in real life is just magical, we saw over 60 and were able to study them for a few hours. We got a lot of time on the water and our guide was very knowledgeable! One tip: take one of the tours in the afternoon so they already know where the killer whales are and you won't 'waste' any time looking for them. We went straight for them and enjoyed them until the sun came down which was beautiful!

Candice Kaufman

We went out on the 2pm tour. They had some problems on the boat before setting out and immediately all the staff quickly came on board to help fix the issue, even the owners. In the end we got to go out on the smaller boat and made for a super fun ride!! The captain and naturalist were both so knowledgeable and very passionate about what they do!! We were out for almost 4 hours and saw so many humpbacks and other wildlife, we didn't want to stop admiring them play! Would highly recommend supporting this small business!

Pierrette Stuber

We went on a While watching tour with Eagle Wing Tours and it was my 1st time ever on a boat and it was amazing! The crew was amazing and were they always answered our questions and invited us to ask any questions! I could tell that they all love their jobs! I'm so glad that my husband and I did this for the 1st time together as we were on the trip celebrating our 15 year anniversary! We will definitely be doing it again and next time well be bringing our kid's with us!

Reserved this tour based on the reviews and we were extremely satisfied! Had an incredible time on the water, got to see many whales, seals, and got stunning views of Mount Olympus and Mount Baker. Our captain and the crew were extremely knowledgeable and passionate about their work.

Brooke L

The boat operator was fantastic lots of knowledge and very entertaining. My son loved this.

Math L-H

Probably the best whale watching company (I didn’t test the others, but): you can feel they are passionate about their jobs and really care for the environment and marine life. We had a wonderful time in their company and had the chance to see whales ans sea lions. Highly recommended!

Yong Zhang

This company has a much larger boat which can sail much further beyond all the other ones. Higher chance to find a whale and more comfortable experience! The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable, sharing lots of cool tips while watching wildlife. Worth every penny I spent. Absolutely recommended.

Magda P

The speedboat tour was great, if you get motion sick this is the best way to take a trip, fast fun and you don't feel the sway like in a big boat. The guides are knowledgeable and fun and they cover a lot of ground. Great thing about going in Victoria is you can often see different species of whales in one trip, plus many other species and of course beautiful landscapes.

The Bees Knees

Great staff and saw lots of orcas!!! Best day out ever!!! They have coats if you are cold which I took full advantage of. Boat is spacious and clean. Definitely worth every penny! Thank you!!

ConnorSask

We really enjoyed our whale watching tour with Eagle Wing. We were on the 4 Ever Wild boat. The crew was very informative and passionate about the wildlife and the areas we travelled. We were lucky enough to see Orcas, Humpback Whales, Seals and Sea Lions. There were two washrooms on the boat. There were jackets for those who needed them. By the way, you will need to dress warm. Even in the summer (we went on July 21, 28 degrees Celsius) it gets very cold on the water. However, if you dress warm you will be okay. You can also always go into the covered section of the boat. Overall would highly recommend this company. They were also very conscientious of the well being of the wild life and the laws protecting the wildlife.

Mark Budala

We just finished an awesome morning viewing Orcas and Humpbacks. What we saw far exceeded our expectations. The ocean conditions were perfect and the staff made our larger group feel comfortable. We had some changes in our reservation and I had to call in 4-5 times before the tour. They always had quick friendly service. Thanks for the great day on the ocean!

Alyssa Post

This was my first time whale watching and it was fantastic! When booking the tour, I was worried that my family and I weren't going to see any whales and that it would be uncomfortable and cramped on the boat, but I was so wrong. We went on the 4 Ever Wild catamaran and it was very nice and clean and had plenty of space for the fully-booked, 50-man tour group. Most importantly, it had extra thick jackets you could borrow because it definitely got cold. The captain was very skilled in finding the whales and other sea life. We were able to see 2 pods of orca whales, seals, sea lions, and we even got lucky and saw a sea otter! The crew was very knowledgeable and friendly, and provided fun facts about the sea life and the whale conservation efforts. This was definitely one of the coolest things I got to do in Victoria, and I definitely recommend this tour group.

joseph guse

Great trip. My kids, 8 and 12, loved it. We feel privileged to have seen a humpback,a family of killer whales a few porpoises as well as seals and a sea otter. The crew were all very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly.

Michael Cellini

This was our first time going whale watching and it was amazing! The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable and they truly enjoyed their work. They were whale-geeking out right along with us. The boat was great and allowed for everyone to get a good view of the whales. Obviously we were on a time crunch to get out to the whales and back for the next tour, but you would never have known it. They made the tour relaxing and enjoyable; taking time for additional stops on the way back. I would highly recommend this company and will be going out with them again when we return to Victoria!

Dan Honkanen

Family flew into town during the "Be A Tourist In Your Own Hometown" event. Because of this, we received a good discount for Whale Watching with Eagle Wing Tours. On the boat ride out, we saw seals, sea-lions, bald eagles and more.. Just when I didn't think we'd see any whales, out came a big pod of them. A couple of them even swam right toward us/our boat then dove at the last moment under it and resurfaced on the other side. The whales really put on an amazing and memorable show for us! If you're looking to do some Whale Watching in Victoria, BC, I'd highly suggest these guys. :-)

Great Amazing Experience. Should at least do this once in your lifetime. Looking how whales live their life in their natural habitat is a inspiring and priceless experience. Thanks for letting all enjoy this amazing experience. Kudos to Eagle Wing team with the wealth of knowledge of these sea creatures and victoria habitats. Hats off Guys.

My first time whale watching and I couldn't have imagined a more enjoyable experience. Friendly, warm, knowledgeable and experienced staff go above and beyond to ensure an experience of a lifetime. Highly recommend!

Samantha Paz

Derek and Peter were amazing guides! My husband and I went on the Gold Wing boat (extremely smooth ride and great visibility). All staff were very helpful and kind, gave great information, and they even had hot chocolate waiting for us when we got back. I would definitely recommend using this company, especially because they give back to organizations that seek to help whales and the ocean. They also provided gear (it was cold!) for free. One last thing I love is that other companies stick to the time limit- but Eagle Wings, if everyone in the group is willing, will go outside of that time frame even by an hour if it means seeing whales.

Navid Alavi

Definitely recommended. We had the fastest, most comfortable and ocean-friendly boat among others. Tour guides were super nice and accommodating. They provided beanies, blankets, and water to people that needed them. We managed to see two families of killer whales, seals, and two species of sealions.

A5E Kumiko

We are from Vancouver. My husband and I decided to do while watching to celebrate his 40th birth day while we were in Victoria. We were booked to a smaller boat with 5 other passengers. The price was quite reasonable. Since it was our first time whale watching we didn't really know what to expect but we were excited to know that we'll most probably get to see at least one whale. First of all, the weather was perfect! Calm water and calm wave. The staff (Brad and Celine) were both enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The expected duration was about 3.5-4 hours but we had approximately 4.5 hours tour! We got to see 5 orcas and at least 2 humpback whales!! It was so magical. Celine, at one point, said "Whale therapy!" and I totally agree. It was up close and therapeutic. We would love to use Eagle Wing Whale & Wildlife Tours again! Highly recommended!

Jakob Wilson

Eagle Wings is awesome! I have seen whales each of the three times I have been out with them, the crew is super friendly and knowledgeable and they care about respecting the animals and ocean while they were out there. Definitely will be going out with them again for any other whale watching trips.

Julien Bois

Amazing trip, we saw a bunch of different orcas, sea lions and humpback. Our guide was very interesting and nice. We recommand it

Ali MacGregor

Grant, Russ & the team at Eagle Wing are top notch! This was hands down our best experience whale watching!! We saw the transient orcas & humpbacks & tons of other wildlife! The crew on board was full of knowledge, and we learned so much during our time aboard! Would highly recommend this company to everyone :)

Israel Torres

I was expecting more for what I paid.

Darren Cole

Our staff outing was a day at sea with Eagle Wing Tours. The boat, staff and the Whales put on a 5 star experience. The highlight of course is the Whale sightings however the part I enjoyed the most were the staff who continually shared so much information about the Whales, marine life and the area. The level of passion was obvious and that is really nice to see. Enthusiasm is contagious. Thank you from our team at The Palms Restaurant & Lounge in the Hotel Rialto.

Carlyita

Amazing whale watching experience! We went on the speed boat and got a beautiful view of the archipelago. They provided lifevest jackets , pants, touques, and gloves which were much needed. Rus was an amazing captain and was really passionate about what he does and keeping the whales safe and happy in their own home.

C Thomson

The staff, catamaran, and the facilities were top notch. From booking, check-in, orientation, to return to dock. Clean, knowledgeable, friendly. Amazing experience for our family and guests from Belgium!!! Eagle Wing tours the best in the business!

Dawn

Excellent tour. Was about 3.5-4 hours. Staff was very informative about the whales, seals, walruses, porpoises, birds and the wonders of their natural habitat. They are very committed to what they do- and do it very well. The catamaran was great definitely recommend it over the zodiac for comfort.

CJ South

It was an awesome experience! Pro Tips for your trip: 1. It's going to be freezing. I don't care how hot it is outside, you'll be super cold because of how fast you're going on the boat. The good news is that they give you SUPER warm gear to wear. I suggest you wear light weight pants and a tee-shirt. Don't bother bringing warmer clothes unless it's in the fall. 2. You might not get very close to the whales. There is a law which prevents boats from getting close enough to the whales to disrupt their pattern and they have to run parallel with the whales. This means that your only hope of seeing a whale up close is when the whales go under for their deep dive (every few minutes) is for them to pop up near your boat. They came super close to our boat!!! BUT it's a lottery and you never know where they will appear. 3. Use the binoculars. Like I mentioned above, you won't be that close to them. Definitely use the binoculars to get a good look from afar. Even better if bring your own high powered binoculars to get a super close look! 4. Make sure to use the bathroom on the boat!! I know it sounds strange, but the boat has a super cool bathroom that you should spend a few minutes in while the boat is moving. 5. BE PRESENT! Take a couple shots with your camera and then sit back and enjoy. It takes a few minutes to really have the visuals sink in; especially if you've never seen a whale before in person (like myself). By the time it feels real, the moment will be gone, and the whales will have went down and away... I hope you have as much fun as I did :)

Crystal Gail

I didn't plan on going on a whale watching tour while in Victoria as I was traveling alone with my dog, but they caught my eye and when I mentioned this, they volunteered to watch her while I was on the tour. The tour itself was lovely, the staff was friendly and knowledgable and the boat was very comfortable and even had bathrooms on board.

Angela Webber

Big thanks to our amazing crew: Eric, Mel and Pete! We took a sunset tour and was extremely lucky to see a huge gathering of humpback whales! The crew is really passionate about the animals and very informative. They have terrific covid precautionary measures in place. Thanks for the experience!

Noble D. Harrison II

I had a wonderful time sightseeing and talking to the captain and crew. I learned a lot about the Canadian health care system and other aspects of living in Canada from them.

Kerry Hittinger

Amazing crew and well worth the trip even in the winter months . My two little ones (5 and 7 years) were in heaven!

Sarah McCabe

Best whale watching company in Victoria for range, service, price, conservation efforts, education, and sustainability. Not to mention comfortable, accessible boats for anyone and everyone to enjoy. They offer a whale guarantee so you're definitely going to have the trip of a lifetime. I've been out with them 10+ times and I've never been disappointed.

Sarah McCallum

I have been on two outings with this company and both have been fantastic. Knowledgeable guide, managed to see whales both times, and it really feels like they go the extra mile to ensure everyone has a great experience.

Carolyn Grift

My husband and I went on a day-time whale watching tour in Victoria a couple weeks ago on one of the open boats and I have nothing but good things to say. The tour guide and the captain of the boat were great and informative, they found the killer whales and stayed with them for over 45 minutes, after other tour boats had left the area which allowed the whales to come much closer to us and even swim underneath our boat. They took the extra time to find the whales, allowed us lots of time to watch them and I would definitely highly recommend this company for your whale watching experiences!!

Kimberly Coutts

Many thanks Eagle Wing Tours for a fabulous adventure. My young boys (3 & 5 yrs) had a fantastic time on the catamaran. Of course the icing on the cake was all the wildlife that we saw that day - orcas, sea lions, seals and of course birds! The sunshine and beautiful weather also helped. Thank you once again for a fantastic day.

Richard M. Allouche

WOW! AMAZING so blown away, all of the staff Kareg, Molly, CHRIS and Salena, blew us away ! That was the best experience and especially to enjoy it with my family and daughter I am truly blown away. So much information knowledge and a fun time, I can't believe the sightings we got! Thank you guys!!

Alyssa Roth (Liss)

Had the most magical time exploring the sea, and meeting (from a distance!) some of the lovely creatures that inhabit it. The Eagle Wing crew is extremely knowledgeable, hospitable, kind and entertaining while maintaining ecological protocols and Covid safety. Special thanks to captain Russ and Grant for being the grooviest guides, and providing such outstanding service. Thank you for the memorable experience!

Jose Carlos de Macedo Soares

Super professional and involved in the research and preservation of the wildlife. Highly recommend the tour with the Safety first approach they have. I went on the 9am tour on the speed boat. Both crew members were polite and explained a lot of details of the whales. Check seasons to know which type of whales you can see depending on the season. They will travel as far as needed so you can see whales, which was incredible. Highly recommend!

Holly M.

Amazing experience and achieved my bucket list dream of seeing orca whales! We went on the 4 Ever Wild semi-covered cruise. The boat is a good size and very comfortable, with plenty of seating outside and room to move around to get a good view. The staff were very friendly and attentive and were very good about making sure everyone wore a mask at ALL times. They were also very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the wildlife and were great at answering questions. Sometimes you did need to prompt them for more information. On the first trip, we went at 9:30 am and it took a while - around two hours - to find the orca whales, but the scenery around the San Juan Islands was lovely and we saw quite a few porpoises. Once we found the orcas, it was magical watching the T18 pod travelling together against the amazing backdrop of the Olympic Mountains. On the way back, we saw a variety of seals and sea lions. We booked to go again a few days later in the afternoon. This time, they had already spotted a whale that day so knew where to go to find him again. We saw a solo orca whale named Rainy (T11A) zig-zagging around the Juan de Fuca Strait. We also saw a humpback whale and were wowed to see its tail rise and fall as it went for a deep dive. Again, we stopped at Race Rocks to see lots of seals and sea lions. This was such a magical experience. A $5 fee goes to wildlife conservation. The company is small and family-run and they do seem to be conscious about conservation, though this can always be improved. They will not take you to see the endangered Southern Resident orcas as they prefer to leave them in peace. They also pursue carbon neutrality and have published annual reports on their website detailing their environmental impact. I encourage everyone to look into the environmental efforts of any whale watching company before you choose who to go with.

Trinity Marie

Amazing first time experience whale watching!! We were lucky to see all types of whales and seals. The staff were also very personal and knowledgeable. Would recommend. (August 10 2021)

Steven Lu

I took a catamaran tour and it was the best experience I've ever had. Professional and knowledgeable staff, and they were really friendly and funny. They provided warm jackets, pants, hats, gloves and binocular. We were lucky to meet a group of playful orcas, they hopped out of water a couple of times, a rare sight according to the staff. Highly recommended.

Holly S.

Such a fantastic experience. The captain and guides are really passionate and knowledgeable. You can tell they are just as excited as we are to find and view these amazing animals. We saw humpbacks, killer whales, and sea lions. I will never forget it.

Zawjatu Y

As a group of 14, We took this tour on July 2nd, it was there 2nd day back, we enjoyed their service from booking the tickets over the phone from getting a local BC discount, and the 3 men on board, we had an amazing once in a lifetime experience. We saw the breaching of a humpback whale, and at least 6/7 other whales. We felt safe & we can assure you 100% it's worth it! Book now you won't regret. We cant6wait to go back & we will continue to tell others! Thank you.

Terence Jou

I cannot express how great this experience was. We were randomly having an ice cream across from their kiosk at Fisherman’s Wharf and overheard another couple gushing about their experience the previous day. Amber, at their kiosk, was super helpful and answered all of our countless questions. We went on the sunset tour (best decision ever) and saw 6 humpback whales, a pod of orcas and sea lions. The team on board led by Izzy were so helpful and so knowledgeable about the animals. Bring cash for tip at the end, they so deserve the extra $ having gone above and beyond to make our experience wonderful. The price tag might cause some people to hold back but I guarantee you it’ll be a tour you’ll remember for a very long time.

Dhawal Shah

Great whale watching tour, saw tons of whales and seals. Mel and Izzy are A level instructors. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Suggestion: Accept gratuities via card, people don’t carry cash anymore.

Upersam1999

Tom was the beat tour guide ever. So funny and relatable, easy going. I went on the tour by myself with 4 couples and I thought I'd feel alone but Tom was very welcoming and made everyone feel at home. Seen humpbacks and orcas, Tom played an underwater speaker and we could hear the whales talking to each other. Amazing. We also seen some sea lions!!

J. Huber

Highly recommend. We saw half a dozen humpback whales, sea lions and of course the beautiful scenery today. We booked the semi covered catamaran, which was a good decision to stay warm and dry and still get all the views from outside along the railing, if we wanted. Friendly and professional staff.

Iva V.

Took a tour in a small boat couple days ago and it was the best experience I could have asked for. The staff is very helpful, the Capitan was knowledgeable and told us a lot of things about the orcas and the wildlife in the area. We saw few different families of residential orcas, sea lions, bald eagle and seals. If you are seeking for adventure go for the open boat, it is faster and I find that you can get a bit closer to the animals. Definitely 5 star experience!

Ildar Idrisov

Hotel Pick up service, knowledgeable and nice staff. The ride was 4 hours instead of 3.5

Jim Gillard

Awesome tour. Knowledgeable friendly funny staff. If you'd like to see whales, go to these guys.

SheTripp

Pete, Russ, and Selena took us out on our tour today. They were so friendly, funny, quirky, and knowledgeable. You can tell they absolutely love what they do, and have a great time sharing it with us. They were very on top of making sure we were comfortable, and getting the most out of our tour. We followed alongside a family of Orcas for quite some time, saw several seals, (or rock sausages as they referred to them as) and a few bald eagles! I’m so glad we chose to go on this tour, I would highly recommend it, and would love to go again!

Kazi Mohiuddin Ahmed

We did a group booking with Eagle Wing during our trip to West Coast. The crew was fabulous. All of them were professional and explained nitty-gritty of whales to our kids. Followed covid protocols strictly. They took us to the sea and we were able to watch a pod of orcas. I would definitely recommend them.

Chloe Robinson

Fantastic experience on board! This was my first BC boat trip after moving to Victoria and starting work with Ocean Wise. Spectacular encounter with some curious humpbacks (so many seen!) and the team went out of their way to try and find us some killer whales on the trip also - which was a success! Informative and professional team, the boat is comfy and easily accessible and the extras provided (rain pants, windbreakers etc) are super handy for the ever-changing conditions. 10/10 recommend and hope to see you again soon!

indyjode p

We had a great experience and tons of knowledge from the crew members!!! They were amazing!!! Thanks to Derek Sydney Karen and Captain Rod❤️ Please correct me if I'm wrong with names. I highly recommended this company! Thank you Eagle Wings for a lovely fun memory which added to our trip in Victoria!!! See you again this coming summer for sure!!!

Norbert Zimmermann

We had the best experience with Eagle Wing Tours. We saw whales on 3 different spots, saw an eagle, seals... Very experienced tour guides, Definitly a recommendation. 5*

Damon Jacobson

Amazing trip and saw many whales. Some actually came up near the boat. Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic crew and customer service. It would have been nice if that had mentioned during the orientation or closing info that we were supposed to pick up our t-shirts after the tour. But overall would highly recommend. Also it was nice riding on the boat with some indoor seating. It was quite cold on the bow, but they do offer plenty of different sizes of jackets. The boat did have a bathroom, and I'm not sure the open boats do.

Ben Williams

Brendan and Megan did an excellent job. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do. It was a great experience! Thank you from Seattle&Kansas

jeff eggen

I had a fantastic time whale watching with Eagle Wing Whale Watching and would recommend them to anyone looking to get on the water and explore the sights and sounds of our beautiful waters. Thank you to captain Brett for an awesome time on the water and finding whales!!

Amelia

My husband and I loved our whale watching experience with Eagle Wings Tours. The staff were very knowledgeable and kind, they provided us with a whale watching experience we will never forget.

Bruce Xiao

The best experience you won’t miss in Victoria. Lily did a fantastic job in today’s journey.

Mark Tilbury

Fantastic... crew enthusiastically explained a myriad of facts on all things...Boat was fast and comfortable...take some warm leggings and jacket, and hat and gloves in case you go through some mist/fog which we did (common in August). But awesome trip! Will do again.

Michael Ruvinskiy

Most exciting whale watching tour

How Far From Home

What an absolutely superb experience (and a real treat for a 6 year anniversary for a couple traveling around the world). We witnessed fish-eating Orcas, mammal-eating Orcas during a kill, a humpback whale, sea lions and an unforgettable sunset. We honestly could not have asked for more! The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable and made the entire experience surreal. Thank you!!

Ana Gannon

Very knowledgeable staff, spacious and comfortable boat, access to jackets and other outdoor gear in case you forget yours. We had the most unforgettable experience watching a family of transient orcas as well as some other humpback whales. Note that they are one of the few that will take small children in the tours

Carley Haynes

Amazing experience! The knowledge of the crew and captain was incredible. We saw Orca, humpbacks, saloons, and a sea otter! Highly recommend this company for their knowledge and also their environmental awareness and contributions. You won't be disappointed!

Derrick Weis

Had an amazing time with our guides Pete and Sidney. Their knowledge of the wildlife in the area was really impressive and they kept all of the guests entertained and engaged through the entire trip. Highly recommended!

Sachin Mahajan

Amazing crew, we saw more than just whales, sea lions, seals, bald eagles. I am definitely coming back.

Sean Phillips

We had a wonderful afternoon on the Salish Sea with Eagle Wing tours. They found several groups of Orcas that we got to watch swim and play all around us. On the return trip we had visits with harbour seals, stellars sea lions, and several eagles too. It was a great day on the water...

Chris Long

Amazing experience.Tom's narration was highly informative and Captain Brad found us humpbacks and orcas. Highly recommended.

Damian Borges

We had a great time on this tour. Our guides we're passionate and very knowledgeable about the whales in the area. We saw a family of killer whales for several minutes and had a brief glimpse of a humpback whale. We highly recommend this tour.

Mark Jackson

Superb evening whale watching trip with the family, really nice covered boat with full 360 degree access for photos. Staff couldn't have been better, just a wonderful experience all round. We saw 2 humpback's jumping out of the water, just perfect!

Scooby Subie

This was my first whale tours and it was awesome/amazing, the crew was very knowledgeable and accommodating, captain was really good at maneuvering the boat and spot on were to find whales. We even got the chance to see the JPODs which hasn't been seen for 100+ days as per the crew. Overall it was a pleasant experience. Great job guys

Tony Morrow

Great staff and ocean vessels. Some of the captains are themselves biologists. I did the larger indoor/outdoor catamaran, which was perfect for a cooler time of the year. Abundant wildlife and whale viewing opportunities. Highly recommended.

Vanessa Hammond

Outstanding. Well organized. Super friendly. Very knowledgeable naturalists.

jason d

Wow. 5 stars hands down. Worth every penny. This tour was awesome. The boat was awesome. The guides were awesome. 3 guides and 2 washrooms on their newest boat left my out of town guests speechless. Highly recommended for an experience you will not forget.

Madhubanti Das

Loved everything about this tour-- from the online booking to the reminder calls and not to mention the sweet person on booking desk made our initial experiences pretty smooth and enjoyable. Covid protocols were in place. Our naturalist guide Katelyn and Russ the captain were very knowledgeable , professional and overall lovely people that made the 3 hours we spent for our sunset tour a truly remarkable memory! Did I say that we watched whales!! At least 5 of them for for more than half hour and that too from a 50 m approx. distance from our boat. Majestic and mesmerizing. Also learned about the marine ecology , watched bald eagles from close and watched harbor seals!! Go Eagle Wing tours!! A must try for children and adults alike when in Victoria!!

Right On

For the price I thought you would be able to really see the hump back whales more, left the area quickly because the hour of fog boating took so long. Just unlucky I guess!

Jay White

Amazing adventure!!! We spent 2 hours watching whales of our 3.5 hour tour, simply incredible. Pete and Izzy were great guides funny, informative, and entertaining. Way better experience than Prince of Whales whale tours.

Mark Boothman

Fantastic trip out in the open boat and all the gear we needed to keep us warm and dry was provided. We definitely needed it, even in the middle of summer. Lovely driver and guide who kept everyone engaged and informed whilst we were searching for whales. As we were on the first boat out that day, we had very few reports to go on, therefore it took several hours to locate a whale for us. They went the extra mile to stay out longer and the company supported them to ensure we got our whale experience. Would definitely recommend them!!

Vanessa Del Priore

I had the most amazing time on the sunset tour. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. We saw orca and humpbacks. It was absolutely breathtaking. I pretty much came all the way to Victoria to see Orca and they did not disappoint. Truly the highlight of my trip to BC. Thank you!

MrsDyjach27

We had a great time! Took some excellent photos and videos. We were extremely lucky as the pods swam very close to the boat. The crew were very friendly, helpful and knowledgable. Kids had a great time! Thanks again Eagle Wing Tours!

Braidey Sturgeon

Eagle Wing Tours provided an amazing experience on the water!! This is a great way to beat the heat on a scorching hot day in the middle of a heat wave... Staff were very friendly and kind, well educated and willing to share their knowledge. We were so blessed to see multiple pods of orcas, including young orcas, and humpbacks... One humpback calf even breached the water! So incredible and beautiful to witness and it never would have happened without the staff of Eagle Wing Tours. Our captain stayed on the water for some extra time to ensure we all had plenty of time to enjoy the spectacle. All together an amazing experience. Look forward to seeing elephant seals, harbour seals, harbour porpoises, jellyfish, orcas, humpbacks, sea birds and more! Highly recommend!

trix evans

Afternoon tour on boxing day (Dec26, 2018) was absolutely fantastic. Although the weather wasn’t the best the crew made it a trip to remember. The pleasurable agent doing bookings, knowledge of the guides, and the excellent navigation by the captain gave us the chance to view orca and humpback whales, bald eagle, sea lions, and sea otters. Highly recommend this tour to anyone who hasn’t done it.

YJ Kim

Didn't get to see the humpback whales but we did see orcas and see lions. It gets really cold in open boat even with the winter jacket provided so dress warm. Overall it was good but I had some sea sickness ????????

Michael Stock

Went on a partly enclosed boat which was ideal. Shelter when needed but able to take photos outside. Safe to use my DSLR camera and long lens. Staff knowledgeable and helpful. Saw a rare porpoise hump back whales and killer whales. A great trip.

Marcel Rouger

Absolutely fantastic experience! The crew was very welcoming, and super knowledgable. We saw whales within 20 minutes of getting on the boat. Huge shout out for Derek, Sierra, Brendan, Val and our Captain Dale.

Incredibly knowledgable, professional and friendly staff. The boats are clean and well maintained too! I had a great experience with EagleWing and would definitely recommend to a friend!

Stephanie Kok

What a magical experience we shared with Brett and his delightful crew. In this curios time of Covid, to witness the magnificent beauty of Orcas swimming together at sunset; restricted by no social distance, free to express natural intimacy... this sailing lifted the fatigue of it all. I would invite you to renew your spirit; adventure safely, and admire the strength in nature. What a gift, thank you Eagle Wing, truly!

Rafael Cacace

What an amazing experience! The staff was awesome, very friendly and informative. Thank you Captain Jeff and Lili for this unforgettable day.

Christian Vandendorpe

Great tour, really experienced team! We enjoyed ourselves.

Ahmed Nossair

Excellent tour with Capt Pete and Kate. We had fantastic experience on the open boat and we sailed deep in the ocean and saw lots of humpback whales

Adam Kuruc

Amazing experience!! Amazing stuff that knows, what they’re doing. Also gave us jackets, gloves and hats.

Matt Martel

3.5 hour tour, got to see humpbacks and orcas, lots of sea lions. The crew is very knowledgeable. We had the rare experience of a humpback rubbing along our boat. Also groups of orcas leaping not too far away. Binoculars, jackets, gloves and toques are available to borrow for free. Also there's hot chocolate or coffee or tea available to keep warm. Be prepared for plenty of wind getting out there. Also the boat rocks a lot when the whales are very close.

Daniel B

Pete was our guide and he's an absolute champion. We went on a sunset tour with him on some relatively rough seas, but he managed to slice through the waves and only splash the people directly behind me. Although it took a while to get to some whales (obviously not within the realm of control anyway) everyone was super excited to see some apex predators. We were fortunate enough to have joined a group of transient (or resident) orcas, approximately 5 of them. Pete positioned the boat in some really good spots and carefully followed the pod at a slow speed, allowing us to view them for an extended period, and also giving us many whale related facts along the way. Probably the best thing about the tour aside from the orcas was that Pete was super excited to see them, just as excited as all the passengers. It made it more fun for everyone on-board as we didn't have someone just steering the boat and "doing their job". We had someone who was genuinely excited to be out on the ocean and spending time with these awesome creatures.

Aravind Thangavel

went whale watching with them. first time. very good experience. we saw two kinds of whales. hump back was the best, it passed right below us. everyone was so excited. Must experience atleast once in a lifetime.

Janet Schmidt

Tom was a fantastic guide/driver - humorous, knowledgeable and someone you can trust to take you out on the ocean. We saw a group of Orcas, harbour seals and sea lions. It was a great experience! The boat was very comfortable and fast! The jackets, pants, hats and gloves kept us warm. I would absolutely recommend taking a tour with Eagle Wing Tours.

Kelly Lott

Eagle Wing Tours is a top rated tour group for a reason! Checking in and paying on line was easy. The boat was modern, clean and had plenty of room to sit comfortably inside and out. The staff were a wealth of knowledge, passionate, extremely friendly and easy to talk to. The companies conservation initiatives are commendable and they encourage everyone to become more involved in the education and conservation of a sustainable, healthy, and more balanced marine eco-system. We met a man from the prairies who loves photography and has been on the boat several times as he books a tour every time he visits Victoria...that really says something about this experience. I highly recommend this!

Zoe MB

We went out with Eagle Wing Tour on the 12th of April and were lucky enough to Potter a transient orca, bald eagles, sea lions and seals! It was a beautiful day out with amazing tour guides that were really knowledgeable. It's a company that clearly cares about its impact on the environment as well as the information that's passed down to customers. I'm really happy we went with them as there are several options in the area. On top of a dream come true we experienced top notch customer service, can't ask for much more.

Patrick Dobler

Wonderful experience and very nice crew. Highly recommend! Whale guarantee fulfilled ????

Sarah Beaufait

This was my first whale watching, but I must say, it was the best one ever. We were lucky and saw humpback whales, orcas, seals and sea lions, and crew was knowledgeable and friendly. Thanks for the great experience! I definitely recommend this tour :)

Christopher F

This was the highlight of our vacation. We went out and got to see humpbacks, sea lions and especially Orcas. It was an incredible experience.

Chrispy

This was an amazing experience and I highly recommend that you should take the time to do this whale watching tour, You won’t be disappointed. The staff from check in to the actually tour staff were absolutely amazing. Well worth the time and we got to see some amazing whales. Very knowledgeable guides who took the time to make sure we were well educated on the whales and other sea animals we saw on our tour. Can’t wait to do this again in the fall!!!

virginia elizabeth

If you're on the fence about these guys...jump right over and into one of their boats! One of the FUNNEST experiences we've had since moving to the Island this past September. The staff are SUPER knowledgeable and personable. You can tell they're passionate about their work and the whales. 11/10 recommend.

Atkinson Matthew (ATK-Farm)

Awesome experience with a nice and friendly staff!! They have a deep knowledge of the ocean. I also really enjoyed all the sensibilisation about the respect of the ocean and the creatures. I highly recommended it.

Yahya Ethawi

Very nice and welcoming staff. Convenient seats. There were no much sea animal staff to see. My kids enjoyed the place.

Karla Padbury

Went on a whale watching tour on Oct 14 and had a fantastic time! We saw humpback whales, seals, otters, bald eagles. They tried to find orcas but they just weren't out when we were this time. Tour staff had lots of great information to share about the area and the wild life as well as entertaining stories of whale encounters they have had in the past. Would highly recommend this tour operator.

Caitlyn Giff

Lili and Peter were amazing as our captains today. We not only got to see orchas come right up to our boat but we got plenty of educational information throughout the tour. All the staff at Eagle Wing Whale Tours were fantastic and very friendly, even helping us to source water for our RV. Great experience, highly recommend.

THECpt PHOON

My wife and I had a blast on this trip covering over 50 nautical miles. We got to see humpback whales, orcas and harbor porpoises all within 4 hours! We had Russ and Casey as our captains and they were very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor! The boat was really roomy and it had a bathroom on board which is great for anyone with a small bladders!

Stan Wiebe

We had a fantastic trip this morning. The boat was spotless, fast and comfortable. We saw orcas, humpbacks, sea otters, sea lions, seals, bald eagles and more. The staff was totally professional and helpful and Lili was a wealth of knowledge. We would totally recommend booking the partially closed in boat tour….10/10. Bravo????

Micaël Masse

Great speed boats. It was really nice that they provided us a warm jacket, gloves, blankets, sun glasses and everything. Without it, it would have been really cold even in August. I enjoyed the jet speed boat and the captains are funny and got good stories to tell if you ask them. Seeing the orcas was great, but I think all companies achieve it, I don't know if the other companies also show other animals and environment but it was a nice addition. I still think it's a little expensive, but it's the case for all companies, so if you're not interested in the extra comfort and speed of jet boat, finding another company that is cheaper could do the trick if you got really warm clothes.

Alana Rafuse

The staff were very informative and friendly. The Catamaran we were on was spacious and comfortable. They carry extra coats, hats and gloves if people need them (October weather so it was pretty chilly). Overall a great tour and would definitely recommend.

Daniel Bernardes

I took my family whale-watching for the first time with Eagle Wings and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The check-in process at Fisherman's Wharf was very fast, followed by some tour info and COVID related protocols. We got introduced to the crew and boarded the boat. During the tour, we saw orcas, sea lions, and sea otters. The crew was always providing explanations and fun facts about the marine life around Vancouver Island. I was very happy to see that they had high standard COVID protocols in place and plenty of room for social distancing on the boat. I will definitely take my family whale watching with them again. Thank you for the great experience and stay safe.

Jessica Sauer

My husband and I came to Victoria from Calgary Alberta! After much research we decided to go with Eagle Wing for our whale watching experience! I am so happy that we decided to go with you! Our trip was simply amazing! We went on our tour at 10 am on August 16th on the catamaran! Our captain Jeff and the crew were extremely knowledgeable about the area and the marine life! My husband and I decided to sit with the captain and enjoyed listening to him tell us about the area! They took us to Race Rocks where we got to see a beautiful lighthouse as well as sea lions and seals! We even got to see a little otter named Ollie! They then took us to go see a single humpback whale that was close to the area! While on tour the other boats let the captain know of more humpbacks and orcas that were found! We were able to go see 4 more humpbacks and then a pod of transient orcas! My camera was going a mile a minute! The waters turned a little rough but our captain was able to manoeuvre the boat so that we were comfortable! I would like to thank Eagle Wing Tours, Captain Jeff and the crew for an experience my husband and I will never forget!

Christina W.

Amazing

Kayleigh Hayward

Great whale watching tour! We seen 3 orkas, seals and birds. Izzy and Russ were our guide and captain, both really friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Joel Bruiners

Amazing experience provided by true professionals. Guides were both funny and knowledgeable. Had an absolute blast, and even my 6yr old twins had a great time. Tom was especially great with the kids.

Kryspin Drozdek

These guys are fantastic and trip is worth every penny! Even though the weather wasn't great, we were still able to see some whales from close. The boat by itself is great. Crew go above and beyond to make your adventure unforgetabble. I will definitely come back some day!

Sue Gwin

What a fantastic day. The staff and crew of Wild 4 Whales were great. We experienced every possible type of marine life out on the Salish Sea. JPOD of Orca Whales, a baby Humpback, California and Stellar Sea Lions, a white Otter, and a Oyster Catcher. I highly recommend this tour to everyone. Thank you for a great day.

Steven Dzilvelis

Super knowledgeable staff, fast boats with an interior to get warmed up, and WHALES! Great trip!

Cristal Noakes

This is an experience my daughter and me will NEVER forget! Most amazing day, friendly staff, great boats... Ì recommend this to anyone who wants to make lasting memories

Helena Sch

We had a great time. Saw a lot of whales and seals. Staff is great.

Adrienne H

I went out on the Open Boat with Russ and Lily, they were FANTASTIC! Lily was so knowledgeable about the animals and eco system and Russ was very funny and made us excited to learn about the ocean! We saw 10 Orcas and 2 Minke whales along with our little sea lion friends!

Rich Phung

Got to see everything on our list

Kerry Gauvin

I have been twice this year on the 2pm boat that is their new custom made for whale watching catermaran... With captain rob and very well informed crew. They make every effort to find whales and educate you on the history of sealife in these waters... Both trips we say humpback and orcas... No wonder why they are rated no 1 on trip advisor...!

Carla Beaupre

The crew at Eagle Wing are fantastic & go above & beyond to make sure you enjoy your tour! We travelled miles to see orcas & then spent a lot of time watching them. Fascinating! The captain was always trying to get the best vantage point while respecting the whales & the rest of the crew filled us in on some interesting information about the orcas. Thank you, Eagle Wing for an amazing afternoon!

Sydney Cousin

Excellent or on a high speed boat to see the local wildlife. Will for a driver and our guide seemed extremely knowledgeable about the area and the whales. They provide you with pants jacket hats gloves and binoculars. Very warm and comfortable the entire ride. Highly recommend do not miss if visiting during whale season!!!

Liz Faller

We had a great time on our whale tour with Captain Ron, and Derek and Melissa. They were really informative, and fun to listen to. You can really tell they love their jobs and the wildlife they teach people about. My husband and I took the "Wild 4 Whales" boat. Even if it feels warm on land, bring warm clothes because the winds are strong and it gets cold on the water. They did have coats, beanies, and sunglasses you could borrow on the boat if you needed. They had a taxi that picked you up from your hotel free of charge (be sure to tip though!) which was really nice. We saw a large pod of "resident orcas" which was a rare sighting. We would definitely recommend this tour company, and would go again if we were back in the area!

Truth

Called in and was able to book the next excursion 40 minutes later. Boat loaded promptly and the staff was friendly, if not humorous. Our trip was at the maximum, 4.5 hour limit as the whales that day were so far away. We saw 4 orcas quite clearly for 30-40 minutes, who apparently made a kill. We also saw a pair of bald eagles. Because this took the entire time, we were unable to see any seals, sea lions, etc. Beautiful trip with calm waves, although was unseasonably chilly - definitely bring a hat and scarf if it's in the Teens C/60s F. (The catamarans have jackets, hats, and gloves to lend out, however! Very appreciated.) This was somewhat more expensive than their competitors, but lasts an hour longer and had both the most and best reviews - probably because they're willing to go far to find whales. The docking area has a floating food court. Thank you Captain Kace and Seamen Holly and Brenden.

My husband and I were in Victoria for the day and booked a last-minute, whale watching tour with Eagle Wing Tours. Being pregnant, I wasn't sure if I would be allowed to go out on the boat, but our captain was very accommodating and gave us first choice in seats to ensure we had a smooth ride. The company gives you a warm coat, pants, hat, and mittens in case you're not prepared for being out on the water. We were also given sunscreen and sunglasses - much needed! Pete and Sydney were fantastic guides and were a wealth of information about the local geography and wildlife. We were very fortunate to come across a pod of transient orcas, and Sydney was able to tell us virtually everything about the pod's history. Her passion for environmental conservation and education was very inspiring!

Pieter “Pieter” Ophals

Great experience, really savvy guides. I recommend taking one of the smaller open boats to get even closer to the action. We spotted Orca's and humpbacks from about 20m away.

Rob Koch

Went on a morning tour and an evening tour. Excellent experiences both times. Staff was courtious and very accommodating. The guides were knowledgable and enthusiastic and more than ready to answer any questions that we had. Their boats felt safe. They showed a deep repect for the whales they took us to watch and demonstrated that their primary concern is for the animal's well-being rather than trying to push the boats just-a-little-bit-closer and my wife and I appreciated that. Bring a long lens if you want to be assured of good pictures, but if you get lucky (like we did) the orcas may just decide on their own to come check out the boats up-close!

Matthew Cairns

Tour guide was great and we got a discount for being locals. It was great fun and we saw whales!

Padmaja Rao

We set out on a boat with a deck, from downtown with atmost 50 people. Followed all covid protocols while inside the boat. Capt Brett and crew, specifically Carek were just awesome. Immensely knowledgeable about the waters and where to find the whales and seals. We also spotted orcas. I didn't go into the lower deck at all throughout the trip, it was that awesome. Booking and online payment was also simple and easy. And carry your jackets and gloves, it gets extremely cold out there in the sea. Washrooms on board, nothing to worry. Absolutely thrilling experience, I would definitely recommend them and go with them again if possible.

Charlotte Tunstall

Amazing trip, everyone on the boat was very knowledgeable it was an amazing learning experience. So many humpback whales it was an incredible excursion. 4 full hours of observing and learning my daughter and I will never forget.

Craig Harvey

Took the evening tour with these guys and they blew away my expectations. Russ was a thoroughly knowledgeable guide and we saw a crazy number of whales. Would whole heartedly recommend the company. Everyone we dealt with was excellent and made an effort to make it as enjoyable as possible.

Ocho ReSotto

Amazing! Perfect for children and adults at the same time. We booked a catamaran tour and were more than satisfied. Well organized, perfect knowledge and whales, whales, whales! Thank u!

Éric Barrette

Amazing experience! We got see about 10 orcas during a 3h trip. Very good guides. It was really amazing to ear the whales. I would recommend them any day. The sunset tour was very nice!

Emily Stewart

Top of the line! Went out for a sunset tour with colleagues last weekend and we were lucky enough to see a pod of transient orcas. The staff were absolutely wonderful. A great mix of professionalism, education and comedy! I highly recommend Eagle Wing if you're looking to feel welcome and comfortable!

Oscar Velez

Incredible experience, we managed to see a couple of humpback whales, and the staff is incredible, knowledgeable they love what they do which is great to see. It was amazing seeing the whales, highly recommend everyone do this and go with Eagle Wing!

T F

Me and my girlfriend went on a tour with Eagle Wing twice. The first tour was fun! We saw about 8 different humpback whales in 2 different locations, a crazy amount of harbour porpoises, and many different sea lions! I was disappointed on the monday trip as it was a dream of mine ever since I was a child to see Orcas in the wild, but we went in the morning so the location of the orcas is unknown. This was obviously not Eagle Wings fault as we are coming late in the season as the residents are leaving. We decided to come back before leaving because I really wanted to see an orca. We went in the afternoon this time so that there was a higher chance of knowing their location. Within 30 minutes of the tour, we found T123 Sydney, T123A Stanley, T123C Lucky, and the newest member T123D. The boat followed all of the regulations by staying far away. For people who cannot afford it, the tour provides binoculars so that you can see them. However, the orcas decided to come up to our boat. At one point, the mother and her 2 youngest babies came up beside the boat. T123A also came up to the boat earlier presumably to make sure we weren't going to cause harm. There are no words to describe how amazing this section of the tour was, and I am thankful I chose to come to eagle wing again. Throughout the rest of that tour, we saw about 4 different humpbacks. Many coming up to the boat and travelling to either side so everyone could see. We saw many different sea lions as well on this trip. Both trips we took were amazing. The staff is amazing. the Wild 4 Ever boat is comfortable and large enough for everyone, and the experience was unforgettable.

Eamonn O'Neill

Got some great views of Orca Whales! The driver was exceptional, our boat was the closest due to his ability to judge on where the whales would breach. The marine biologist was full of knowledge and of good character. Definitely worth booking .

Cory M (CJMac)

Absolutely incredible! Me and my wife were lucky and our group got to see two pods of orcas, two humpback Wales and a bunch of sea lions, and the weather was great! The staff of the boat were polite and extremely knowledgeable and provided great commentary. The ship was great, well kept and current. Captain Jeff, Dale, Corinne and Sydney were great. Highly recommend!

Blake Noelte

Made friends with a humpback whale. Highly recommend Eagle Wing. Very friendly and knowledgeable guides and captain.

Leah Mailhot

The staff was amazing! You can tell they love their jobs! The orcas are so beautiful...glad we finally were able to see them and glad we chose Eagle Wing

Miki Chantler

Absolutely amazing experience!! The crew was wonderful and the whales were so cool! Felt very safe during the pandemic and in general safe out on the ocean. Definitely recommend :)

Jo Gi

Awesome crew, fantastic experience. Even stayed out longer to observe orcas a bit longer. Highly recommended ????????

Michał Aibin

Great tour!

Yong Han Lee

From my TripAdvisor review: The reason I chose this company than its competitor was better Google review score. This is my first whale watching tour so I don't know whether Eagle Wing is doing better than its competitors. But, I noticed Eagle Wing's boat I took seems newer than one I saw in its' competitor's advertisement picture. I didn't find any problem which I can complain about from this tour. Visited March 2016

Wayne Jenkins

Wonderful time. Crew were super friendly and knowledgeable. Boat was a 60 ft cataraman that was a really smooth ride especially during the first half hour when weather sucked and the waves were large. We found whales and they were wonderful.

Cody Blackett

Nice boat and crew. They add warm jackets you could borrow that really helped out on our excursion. (Rained a lot) We were able to see lots of seals, sea lions, orcas even a humpback whale and river otter. I would have given 5 stars but they didn't explain all the code words they were using to describe the animals. T11 etc...

Musab Syed

Awesome experience! I went whale watching years ago with one of "bigger" outfits in Victoria. Eagle Wing absolutely blows them out of the water! We did the open scarab, got really close to the orcas, saw some seals, and various birds. The boat had binoculars for us to use which was a nice bonus. Pete and Kaitlyn were fantastic, and on the way back we had some music on the boat which really added to the sunset vibes. Would only recommend going here for whale watching!

Kiran Jheeta

Although we didn't see any whales, the captain and crew were still in good spirits and showed us a good time. I would book again in the summertime in the hopes of seeing whales.

Steve Larson (Woodcraft By Steve)

Sierra and Peter were awesome. Lots of knowledge. Our boat "Goldwing" was a wonderful open boat built specially for whale watching. Waterproof pants, and jackets supplied were great. Binoculars supplied helped me pick out other things. Both Sierra and Peter had great personalities. We would absolutely go again with them.

Min Cedillo

We didn't originally have whale watching on our list of things to do in Victoria. When we found ourselves with a couple of free days, we decided to look into it. One of our group gets seasick, though, so we needed more information. We stopped by the booth on Fisherman's Wharf, which is near the water taxi stand. We spoke with Alex, who answered our questions and addressed the seasickness issue to my friend's satisfaction; enough so that we decided to book a tour. She booked us on the open boat, Goldwing for that Friday morning (it was Wednesday). Despite it's being July and warm, they did gear us up for the tour: coat, pants, hat, and gloves. They told us that the temperature is about ten to fifteen degrees cooler on the water and as we had an open boat, there could also be sea spray so the gear was for both safety and comfort. They do recommend a sweater or hoodie of some sort because when we stop, some people take off the coat (The coats are heavy but still a bit manoeuvrable, though stiff.) and it's still a bit chilly. We had an exceptional tour. The seas were calm so my friend didn't have any seasickness issues. The animals decided to come out in droves; we saw eight orcas almost right away, a humpback whale, sea lions sunning themselves on a rock, seals, a sea otter in a bed of kelp - so many animals! And as our boat was not full, it was easy to move around and see the animals. Captain Pete and Naturalist Sydney provided fantastic information about the animals, including some history on a couple of individuals. I greatly enjoyed their humour, passion, and energy during the tour; their genuine joy at finding so many animals and sharing their knowledge just made the trip that much more amazing. Seriously, if you are in Victoria and thinking about taking a whale watching tour, you won't go wrong with Eagle Wing Tours. I'd love to take another tour, should I find myself in Victoria again.

P K

We had the best experience whale watching with Sierra and Peter. Both were super attentive, focused on providing an immersive experience and knowledgeable about the company's values and the wildlife. I was really impressed by their service and also wanted to give a shout out to Logan who helped me move my reservation when I booked it on the wrong day.

Gurjeet Bansal

On May 19, we had an incredible viewing of a family of 5 orcas, with a couple of curious youngsters swimming to us and under our boat (check out the orca swimming toward the camera). The Eagle Wing crew was fantastic, provided information and made us feel comfortable and valued throughout - and will go out of their way to extend the trip, if guests permit, to ensure you are wowed. We went on their larger (mid-sized) vessel with indoor and outdoor seating during the 3pm tour. We are glad we went with this company as their lifetime guarantee promise was fulfilled when the sunset tour the day prior did not provide satisfactory viewing (wild animals are unpredictable and have their own agenda). But our second time was another story - an experience we will never forget and fondly remember always (see pictures). I would recommend taking the whale tour early on during your trip so you can reschedule in the case of no sighting the first time around. It was time and money well spent. My husband is now a whale lover, i think partly because one whale came right toward him hehehe... he felt special to have been chosen. Another reason to go with Eagle Wing is their corporate social responsibility towards marine causes. And yes, who would not want that cup of hot chocolate upon your return! :)

MELISSA ALTERTHUM

AMAZING experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable! I was surprised on how sensitive they were to allow us to enjoy, in silence, the beautiful moments of just hearing the orcas’ breaths! They were also very respectful to the wild life, which is very important to me! Shout out to the crew: Jane, Lili, Caitlin, Captain Russ, Grant and Nathan! Thanks for making my childhood dream come true!

Travis Ottele

My wife and I were expecting to see whales. We were not expecting to see all of J Pod, though! We were extremely lucky to have such a fruitful outing with Eagle Wing tours, but I am under the impression that this group makes their luck through research and preparation. Everyone on board was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and the naturalists were entertaining and informative. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in seeing some of the local marine wildlife while visiting Victoria.

Paton Hetherington

Amazing experience with informed and passionate professionals willing to teach us all about these magnificent and wonderful mammals.

Kimberley Copithorne

Thanks to all of the staff and crew on and off board for our trip last night, we had a great time! We were scheduled for a smaller boat but it was pretty windy and rough waters and with little ones the bigger boat is safer. We were able to see two pods of orcas meet up last night and they were talking to eachother! So we got to listen to them for quite awhile. We got so much time with them and it was a beautiful experience. A special shout out to Tom who was so good to listen to my 7 year old talk about his stuffed otter for pretty much the whole trip haha. Thanks for the highlight of our trip!

Ricardo Baltazar

Amazing experience with Eagle Wing. The guides we're extremely knowledgeable and provided fascinating information about the animals and region. We saw tons of wildlife. Surprising highlight was the bull kelp demonstration; the various uses and we got to taste some. Would love to go again.

Jason Latter

Everyone and everything was top notch. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and informative crew members. Thanks to our captain for finding us the most amazing experience of our lives. We had 4 or 5 Humpbacks saying hello and showing off for us for at least 40 mins. They went from side to side breaching over and over with tail slaps, roll overs, and everything else you can think of a whale doing. It was the 2nd most amazing thing I've ever seen. Will never forget this trip and the whale watching alone was worth every penny. Highly recommend Eagle Wing Tours. Not just because we got lucky but because they went above and beyond to make it the best and most memorable experience.

Coastal Auto Reaction / The C.A.R. Guys

Excellent experience!!!! Pete is not only funny but very professional and thorough! Great staff spotless boat and top notch wale spotting!

Arne Bräuner

We had a real rough ride, but the assistance from the crew was absolutely perfect and of course the ecperience to watch the orcas

A.J. Naz (TTV.Mr_AJ_Naz)

My uncle was impressed at how far and long they stayed out. He tells me a couple hours. They stayed out longer. Seeing orcas, sealions, blue whales. Happy satisfied customer. Highly recommends it.

Carly Ley

Such a great experience from the booking experience to the farewell hot chocolate at the end of the tour. Kerik and Pete were fun knowledgeable guides with a great sense of humour. They took us straight to a family of orcas feeding along the beautiful sunset. We were the only boat around for the majority of the trip. Doesn’t get much better than that! Also didn’t know until the end that they are a family run business that is carbon neutral. Will recommend to all my guests that come to visit the Victoria area.

Jessica Way

Great tour!! Our guide was really friendly, fun and extremely knowledgeable. We didn't see any orcas but tons of humpbacks, seals, sea lions, an otter and two bald Eagles!! Highly recommend!

Sammie Tan

Excellent tour, would reccomend! We spotted an assortment of what was possible; we went on a very good day. Humpback whales, orca, sea lions, and a bald eagle. Our guide was excellent, I beleive his name is Russ. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and encouraged questions. You could tell he really cares about these creatures and it was all a beautiful thing. He shared some history about the land as well which was a bonus. Thank you to the guide and whole crew!

Sana

A colleague and I were in Victoria for a work conference and decided to do a Whale Watching Tour. Eagle Wing Tours was a great choice. They were very hospitable. The tour was slightly delayed and it was warm so they kept us busy with delicious ice cream. Once we were out on the ocean, the captain, Russ, was great and very knowledgeable. We saw some sea lions and a Mama and baby Humpback whale. We were lucky to hang out with them of a couple of hours, At the end of the tour, the staff greeted us back at the dock with hot chocolate.

Will Morrison

Great experience, in great part because of our boat crew, Pete and Melissa. We were told at the start of the trip that we might stay out on the water longer to see more animals, and so we did. Pete was told of some orcas in an area a long way from where we were - it meant getting back at 1 rather than 12:30. However this was 100% worth it. We saw humpback whales, orcas, seals, sea lions and even an eagle. An amazing day.

Tatiana Klepikova

The Wildlife and Whales watching tour was just awesome! We saw a bunch of animals and birds, including whales, of course. Boat pirouettes make for even more fun!

Konstantin Glants

The crew has been knowledgeable and super nice. They went above and beyond to find the best spot for whale watching. We saw a family of 4 killer-whales and it’s been amazing. While watching the whales and standing in the middle of the sea, a small boat was having technical issues in close proximity to the Eagle Wings vessel. The crew was quickly able to rescue the boat by pulling it over to the closest wharf, which I’m sure the 2 people who where on the boat greatly appreciated as did I as a spectator. The tour took 5 hours instead of 3-3.5 “usual hours”, which for me means that the crew cared to provide the best whale watching experience to us the customers and this is hugely appreciated as well. I wouldn’t hesitate a second to recommend Eagle Wings for the best whale watching experience. Thank you so much!

Brynn Mongeon

Eagle Wing yours was fantastic. Russ and Megan were fantastic guides, I would highly recommend the sunset tour if you're able to go. Amazing views, whale watching and sunset!

Elisabeth Hazell

We had an amazing experience with Brett and his team. They were so knowledgeable and the boat is beautiful. They had extra layers and a warm cabin which is great because it’s cold on the water!!!

Leesa Michelle

This was an excellent tour. The crew was informative, kind, and well-planed. Its an easy process and they do a great job of keeping things organized. They go over where the whales have been seen lately, their plan for your trip, the boat’s layout, and the safety aboard. Chris was our Captain and Karac and Corrine, I believe, were our Naturalists. We saw sea lions, elephant seals, and sea otters at Race Rock. We saw humpback whales, which were amazing. One humpback whale that decided to come right up to our boat, swam under the boat and then swam off with a rainbow in the background. It was stunning. We also saw quite a few orcas for a while. One of the most memorable things was actually a swarm of seagulls that was sitting on the water and then began to fly all around us. It was breathtaking. They did a great job at scoping things out and positioning the boat. Karac was extremely informative and educated. The only thing I would change is to give the patrons a little bit of “quiet time”. The crew was talking non-stop, and I am not trying to be rude when I say that because I really loved the information provided. However, sometimes you just want to listen to the ocean, the otters, the wind, breathe it all in and get some good videos or photos. So, every now and then I would advise giving 10 minutes here and there for folks to do that. Would definitely go back!

Jason Opris

Amazing experience seeing the whales and seals. Very modern and comfortable boat. We got the larger one that is covered and has allows you to go out around the whole large boat. Staff is dedicated and seem to love their jobs. Very knowledgeable. Highly recomend for photography as it is more stable and less likely to get wet.

Camilo Sarmiento

Amazing experience! We took the sunset whale watching and it was amazing. We saw some orcas, seals and other bay fauna. Dale, the guide, was amazing a great mix of funny, educational and interesting.

Joanne Xxx

very pleasant experience,loved it!

T Davis

This was our second trip with Eagle Wing and again we were left captivated with the scenery and there was tons of whales. This last trip Aug 2021 we saw 7 orcas. Just incredible.

Catt Roose

The Eagle Wing crew was so knowledgeable and willing to share their experience with each tour. Their passion for the oceans and whales really come through in the tour. I loved this experience, I will definitely be back and I will 100% book with Eagle Wing!

Helen Bowman

My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our whale watching experience with Eagle Wing Whale & Wildlife Tours! We were very lucky to spot multiple humpback whales, including a mother playing with her calf. The crew went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, and the naturalists are very knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. We also love that the company supports and promotes education and conservation of the local ecosystem. Highly recommended!

Awais Arshad

Amazing experience. Also tour guide was very helpful

Tyler Rop

Quality service, professional, easy booking, polite, great view of sea life! They take care to ensure that those in a tour see wildlife, but this may end up cancelling or postponing a tour later the same day.

Robert Gray

If you havent realized it, whale watching is horrible. IT DOES NOT RAISE AWARENESS about marine mammals. You are in it to make money and what your doing is harassment. Your days as a business are numbered. What your doing is wrong and if you have any morals you should quit your job. One day we will look back at your actions and say..... what the puck were we doing.

Tameeza Taiyab

AMAZING!! Loved our tour guides. extremely knowledgeable and passionate about ocean life! We were fortunate to see hump backs, Sealions and orcas! It was definitely special. Unlike other tours, Eagle tours stays connected to other sources of information to guarantee a sighting! It's a tricky job but they delivered. Thank you for making my trip to Victoria special!

Shankha Bhattacharyya

Awesome experience. The personnel knew the wildlife habitat very well and took us to that very region. This enabled us to see seals, sea lions and other wildlife. Highly recommended.

Nidal Islam

We were running late and this company did everything in its power to make sure we made our booking. We completed our payments and waivers online and kept in communication on the way there. They geared us up quickly when we arrived in time for the safety demonstration and the sunset catamaran was a fun and speedy ride out to the US side of the water. We saw two groups of orcas up close and even saw a humpback on the way back. Thanks to the whole Eagle Wing team for an unforgettable experience.

Gord Barbeau

Excellent staff great information Nice way to spend a few hours on the water Loads to see

AddMan Camerhan

On our trip we saw Orcas and Humpbacks within the same photo. Great crew, spotted whales ever half hour or so. Had a blast.

Ahsan Cheema

This place is fantastic! Due to the weather and limited time in Victoria, we ended up not going with them but they hooked us up with another company. They seem to care about their customers.

Bev Blake

We are locals and decided to finally go whale watching for my birthday. It was a lovely experience being so close to the humpbacks, pretty awesome. Our captain Pete (if I remember correcty) was super cool and talked the entire time about whale biology and history of the whales in the Satish sea. The drive by of Race Rocks was super cool too! Will definitely go again.

Oliver Jones

Excellent, the guides were very knowledgeable, the boat was comfortable and we had lots of Humpbacks & Orcas + some impressive sea lions!

pravin koshti

Amazing ,amazing ...thanks for making our trip memorable . We were visiting Victoria from Calgary and it was our first time for the whale watching. The staff was awesome , don't remember names of other team members though along with other team members ,Caitlyn was amazing . We had a super-fun and enough time watching Orcas jumping in and out from the ocean. Once again , you guys are awesome and believe my more than 10 friends of mine ( with their families ) from the Calgary will be visiting you guys soon ! Cheers and keep it up !!

Bryce Sunberg

Top notch service and accommodations. Very educational guide and amazing staff! Saw orcas hunting and multiple hump back whales! They were also flawless in their covid protocols and made it a very safe experience for all the guests.

Steve Brown

The team was very knowledgeable and shared countless stories and facts that made the trip that much more enjoyable. On our trip, we saw humpback whales, orca, sea lions and seals. It was a memorable experience.

Jasteena Dhillon

The crew at Eagle Wing were so helpful and hardworking. I loved the trip!

Will Ashby

Absolutely fantastic experience for me and my girlfriend with your company. The catamaran ride was thrilling with the speed and of course we are very happy to see the whales for the first time ever! Caitlin was great and looked after us at the front of the boat on the sunset cruise (1st July 18:30) and the staff at the booth were great and easy to talk to as well. Highly recommend the company Will and Sarah ???????????????????????????? (The ones who left the cheesecake)

Johnathan Clarkson

WOW...I don't even have the words that can explain how amazing our experience was. The guides were very knowledgeable and friendly, and we couldn't have asked for a better sighting. Killer Whales, Harbour Porpoises, Harbour Seals, Puffins and to top it off a juvenile & mother Humpback Whale. Thank you Eagle Wing Tours. Only wish I could share the videos of Whales Breaching.

Verna Liezl

Saw the orcas, humpback whale, sea lions! Great experience overall. Crew was very knowledgeable and kind. Thanks again!

Heather Backman

I can't say enough great things about Eagle Wing Tours. Their staff is super knowledgeable and know how to show a group of people a good time! They make sure you get your money's worth for sure. We saw Orca's, Humpback Whales, Sea Lions and Seals. The Catamaran they took us out on was so comfortable which is important for 4 hours on the water. They also do great things for the environment! Your $5 conservation fee allows them to donate $ and in 2019, Eagle Wing donated $224,000 to Conservation efforts!

Matthew Carleton

Simply unforgettable! The best Whale Watching company PERIOD. Don't look any further and book now.

Jerry Lu

COVID: a couple of things to note. The prices are discounted for BC and Canadian residents during covid. Second there are way more whales this year due to reduced travel in the bay. We saw over 25 whales in a few hours. I think under normal circumstances the worth it value is low but this time around it is amazing. I'd be quite upset if I had to share the boat with 2 times the people when it is not covid. Right now is a time of a lifetime... This type of event probably won't happen again! July 2020

Kim MacDonald

Great experience and Knowledgeable staff. Definitely a must do when visiting the island!!

Alexander Boyko

Had an awesome time, the crew, Karac and Jane, were knowledgeable and friendly, they answered our questions and got just as excited as we did to see a family of orcas! It was an incredible experience that I thoroughly enjoyed

Melissa Brackx

We had an amazing experience with Eagle Wing. Saw lots of killer whales and whales. Unique moment

JBell

This is the 2nd time I've used Eagle Wing tours and both times were amazing. This time we had Pete and Jane. Very professional and informative. We saw whales, seals and sea lions. The boat ride itself was also part of the fun. We went during Covid and I felt safe the whole time. Highly recommend.

Maysyn Gordon

My husband and I went whale watching for the first time with Eagle Wing. I have mobility problems and they accommodated me very successfully. Each staff member knew a lot about whales, the ocean, and were just over all friendly. When we come back, we will be definitely booking them again.

Renate Vermeulen

They picked us up from our hotel this morning in Victoria and they were so welcoming. Staff on the boat are so very friendly and they have so much knowledge about the wildlife here on the west coast. Boat was very spacious and comfortable. We were blessed to see dozens of Humpback whales, lots of elephant seals and California seals. It was an amazing day. Eaglewings has so much respect for the wildlife and they provide a lot of information how we can help to keep the whales in our waters. Keep up your great work.

Jessi-Anne Reeves

WOW! What a great day, thanks in large part to the humpback parade, but also to the incredible crew of naturalists and marine professionals that ensured we had a safe, pandemic-friendly visit to the Salish Sea. Comfortable boat, knowledgeable captain, and most importantly, a crew that knows their stuff and clearly loves their work. Thanks, Eagle Wing!

Dan Green

We were on a whale watching tour last summer. It was excellent. The boat we were on was quite large and held a lot of people. But, there was plenty of room to walk around. The crew is very safety conscious. The are friendly and very knowledgeable. You can tell they have a great respect for the whales. And we saw lots of whales!

Larissa Oliver

Staff was knowledgeable, friendly and very careful about following procedures to ensure safety on board regarding covid and helping people who felt sea sick. We were able to see a family of 6 orcas and some sea lions, super cool. It can get a bit could outside so I recommend taking a coat.

michael crossey

Exceptional crew and tour. Can't say enough. The Boat was pristine. The captain tracked a grey whale 40 yards off the side of the boat as it breached 10 to 20 times. They are not suppose to do that in these waters. Really special. Discussions with the crew reveal their knowledge of marine ecosystems, but especially their passion for conservation on the coastal marine life. Every client is better for that trip! Thanks.

Stuart Nisbett

These guys are awesome, me, my wife and two kids (11 & 8) had a trip we will never forget. We saw a pod of orcas, humpback whales, seals, sea lions, a sea otter, bald eagles, ate bull kelp and even listened in to the orcas talking via the hydrophone, it was such a privilege. The skipper and staff were so friendly and knowledgeable which helped make it such a magical experience. Definitely worth taking some warm wind-proof clothes, some binoculars - although they do provide these on board - and some water and snacks.

Vera Pina

These guys genuinely care about the whales and wildlife, they are passionate and have so much knowledge that they share with you. Small boat, ideal setting. Part of the profits help support organizations doing great work in this field. Couldnt have had a better experience

Denis Poucet

Amazing whale watching tour with the nicest passionate people. And it feels good to know it’s giving back to environmental organizations. What a great afternoon!

Lucy Frost

We had a great experience with Eagle Wing Whale tours this morning. Our guides Sydney and Pete were both Professional, Knowledgeable and Friendly! Both my mum and myself had a great time and got to see some beautiful Humpback Whales! *****

Marie Beaudry

All the staff from reservation to check in and on the boat were great. All the guides seemed quite knowledgeable and had lots of good stories to entertain everyone.

Ryan Marr

Great tour. Well worth the cost.

Stella Figliano

What an amazing experience this was! We saw humpback whales. Several at once. We also saw seals, sea lions and a sea otter. I got great photos and videos. The crew was friendly and informative. The desk staff were helpful and accommodating of special needs. I would recommend this place. I would go back back and do another tour!

pegcity hustle

Awesome place awesome people 5 stars easy. I highly recommend this place to anyone. They give you a choice to pick what you want to see and allow you to vote. Very informative staff!

Kayleigh Hayward

Great whale watching tour! We seen 3 orkas, seals and birds. Izzy and Russ were our guide and captain, both really friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Stacey Sugden

The first time I went was in a large boat with another company with no outdoor seating. Though we did see a whale, photos through a foggy window were not ideal. This time I chose to take a large boat again because I don’t want my camera getting wet, but with Eagle Wing there’s indoor and outdoor seating! If you get chilly on deck (the boat goes fast!), there are coats and hats in adult and kid sizes. There were Bald Eagles, Seals, and Sea Lions and WHALES! We saw a Humpback and her baby and a pod of Orcas too! The staff knew the names of the whales by their ‘flukes’ and told us stories about them. I took a 4 hour tour and was please there were washrooms on board, bringing a snack in case you get hungry though. All in all, I got some great shots of the whales, the boat was really nice, and the staff were friendly so I would recommend this Eagle Wing.

Laurent Picone

I come back from the Eagle Wing Tours in Victoria. We paid $125 for a 4 hours tour to the see whales other sea creatures I have never seen of my life. We had an amazing tour and the crew is friendly and give us all information we needed to have. Their boat is pretty new and is really confortable. You can sit inside or outside, on the front or rear side, up or down. Well, you are free to come and go. I would recommend these fellows for their kindness and good knowledge of the area.

Ryan Saucier

The large boat was better on the water and warmer. The crew loves whales and really tries to give you and informed good time. We even saw a baby orca

Catalina Rosales

This was such an amazing experince! I got so emotional seeing the whales because they are very much like us (humans) thier history, this culture, everything! The staff also were just so helpful, friendly and informative. Honestly it's once in a life tike that you go and see animals in thier tur nature and life. Nothing more nothing less. Just true beauty!

Emily Ure

Had a fabulous time! I learned a lot and fell in love as Pete and Sidney' passion was infectious. I'll always come back to Eagle Wing!

Elise Barrie

Of the three local companies I have toured with for whale watching tours, Eagle Wing has been my favourite! The boat we were on was clean, well maintained and very comfortable to ride. I especially like the live TV feed that showed us where we were in relation to the various islands around us! Our captain and crew were wonderful hosts on our tour; providing information, answering questions and ensuring we had a safe voyage. They all really knew where different whales and other marine wildlife like to frequent, ensuring we had a successful viewing of not only Orcas, but also Humpbacks, seals, sea lions and a variety of birds. I cannot wait until I can do another tour with Eagle Wing!

Adrien Vogt-Schilb

These Passionate guys know what they are doing. Sea lions, whales and orcas all the same day. You should try it once in your life if you can.

Joanne Lawrence

We spent a lot of time with a pod of orcas, learning about them and how intelligent and social they are! We had a great time on this tour and felt very safe with the COVID precautions. Next time I'll dress warmer...I thought I was good with 2-3 layers but maybe they needed to be a bit thicker ????

Hornet Tftriplesix

Fantastic tour! Captain Dale and his crew were able to show us lungefeeding humpbacks very upclose, and made the periods without wildlife extremely informative, humourous and overall nice. To top all of that, they really make their mission of sustainability and wildlifefriendliness a priority, which is very convincing. If I'd ever be back in Victoria, I'd know what to do again!

Martin G

Amazing experience. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

Randy

So much fun. Fantastic crew! It's not just about Whales...it's about the experience!

Deanna Wright

So much fun!!! We loved everything about this tour. The staff were excellent, the boat was clean and we had a ton of fun! 100% would recommend.

Makhsud Saidaminov

We enjoyed our tour. The crew is exceptionally kind and knowledgeable about the ocean, its flora and fauna.

Jeremy Lopes

Spent too much time staring at orca's dorsal fins, not enough search for humpback whales or others. I asked one question in public, never got an answer... All companies are doing almost exactly the same price per person (3h30) $105/person.... Which indicate me there is (contract) in between companies. Not worth it for me unfortunately.

Kristina Bi

Great tour. We were lucky to see the orcas. Very knowledgeable and interesting crew.

Leeza CD

Excellent - saw tons of orcas and wildlife. Will definitely go again. We never felt unsafe at any point and I was a bit nervous at first but it was the highlight of our trip to BC!! A must do!! Just breathtaking

Jill Daley

We had an incredible outing on the open boat--saw several humpback whales (maybe 10?) as well as a pod of killer whales and some sea lions. The crew was great and the staff on land was very helpful. Fisherman's Wharf is such a cute area and I don't think we would have ventured over there had we not booked this excursion. It was a trip highlight for sure!

Kenan Philips

My wife and I had a great time. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the whales and other marine life. Would definitely recommend!

Jordo On Fire

Captain Pete and our naturist Sidney were terrific. They had us floating with the motors off - surrounded by at least 8 humpback whales within an hour from shore... The scarab is a smooth ride. Ended that morning with a trip to see the seals of Race Rocks. Both provided insightful commentary along the way - lots of quality education. Will do it again..

Kevin Le

Funny, super knowledgeable crew who clearly love their jobs and helping people see the whales

Curtis Lajeunesse

My wife and I had a wonderful experience with the captain Rodrigo and Rebecca our guide was so very fascinating, and full of amazing information on the wildlife including the history of our beautiful ocean. We seen 3 humpback whales 2 transient orcas hunting as well as seals, sea lions and of course eagles. Very professional and fun also with the suits they provided I was warm and cozy.

Ramlah Haider

I have to say, no company can truly guarantee that you’ll sight whales but the level of professionalism, experience and preparedness experienced at Eagle Wing Tours was beyond my expectations. They know so much about whales and give you the best experience not just from a whale sighting perspective but also to educate us about them. We had the sunset tour last weekend and everything from the quality of the boat, to the tour provided, to the professionalism of their crew on board, everything was top notch. Really loved learning about the whales from Melissa, the really comprehensive putting our minds at ease measures taken and orientation provided by Derek, the overview of how the tour will work and safety measures provided by Karac, and the boat operator who happened to be the co-owner and the social media specialist - all of them were fantastic! I recommend touring with this company because it’s not just the whale watching, it’s the whole experience you get, and treated so wonderfully well. The boat is huge so you have all the opportunity to get up close and personal with the ocean life.

S Y

Perfect trip, saw lots of whales and sea lion. You don't need to bring binoculars cause they have plenty of them on the boat.

Robyn Howard

The staff on the boat was incredible. Not only were they willing to answer any and all questions, but they were also very personable and made some good puns. We had a great time and absolutely would to back if we would be going whale watching again!

Olie Navrotska

Do yourself a favour and go whale watching with these guys. I had gone whale watching on the east coast a couple of times before, but it was nothing like my experience with Eagle Wing. Now I know you can't control nature and how many whales you end up seeing (if any), but these guys are pros and know where to look for whales and how to spot them from afar. We easily saw 10 humpback whales, a pod of orcas, elephant seals, and a sea otter, plus countless birds. What impressed me the most was the team's knowledge - every question I threw at them was answered in great detail, which completely blew me away. It was like the Nature Channel IRL experience. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! ????????

Chris Malek

If this is not the best tour to see whales, orcas, seals and other sea creatures then I don't know what is :) Absolutely, 100% money well spent.

Kevin Mulroney

They know their stuff, they know about all the islands and wildlife in the area. Although whale watching is too touristy for me personally, the staff was professional, knowledgeable, and made great jokes!

Lorne Moore

What an experience! Great staff, very informative and fun. You won't be disappointed. I highly recommend booking with Eagle Wing in Fishermen's wharf.

Emily T

Most amazing experience ever! The staff was incredible and really went above and beyond! I went on a winter tour in February and despite only having 8 people they still took us out! I got to see orcas, sea lions, and seals and learnt so much from the crew as well! Probably one of the best experiences I've ever had, thank you so much Eagle Wing staff for the amazing tour!!!

Taida Marczak

Great tour. Crew extremely dedicated to the wildlife. Goes above and beyond to show whales. Very positive and exciting experience. Not to mention all COVID precautions taken very seriously. If you like me went on multiple whale watching tours without seeing the actual whale this is your chance. They guarantee that they will show you those beautiful animals. Strongly recommend.

SherriNate Bowden

They're #1 for a reason. Top quality staff and crew, and WOW what fun! Fast boats and very educational. Our captain Dale found all kinds of wildlife along the way, then told us all about the behaviors and folklore of the orca we saw from all the different tribes in the San Juan islands. It's obvious the company is genuinely committed to the environment and wildlife they promote and they have a great time sharing their experience with everyone. Fly across the Salish Sea with Eagle Wing!

Ryan Turner

Captain Pete, Sydney and Meghan led our tour Aug 13th. ALL STAR CAST. Not only did Pete find Orcas earlier in the day, but found the same Orcas in the afternoon and was able to track them while they were underwater and have the boat beside the whales when they surfaced. Pete was passionate about going as far as possible to see Humpback whales, and my wife and I were really happy to have been taken almost all the way to Port Renfrew to see a Humpback breach while feeding. It was amazing to be the only vessel in the area when this happened. Sydney and Meghan are very knowledgeable about ocean wildlife and passionate about conservation of our waters. The sea lion island lighthouse at the end of the tour was very funny and a great way to end what was a life changing experience.

Sarah Musa

The experience of whale watching is no doubt a beautiful and magical experience but what makes it even more magical is the lovely team who you could tell absaloutely love what they do (special shoutout to Tom, Lili and Sierra) if you have little ones don’t be afraid to take this tour just a helpful tip the covered boat option is definitely preferred in our case because it does get quite windy on the open waters!

P K

Fantastic time. Started with the staff at check in. Very courtious and helpfully. Captain Dave and crew were all very knowledgeable. Seen many humpback whales. A must do!

E

Everything about the trip was incredible. The crew, who were environmental scientists, were so helpful and answered every question. We ended up seeing around 35 whales, some as close as 10 meters. Worth every penny!

Ron Kube

Great job guys! We had an awesome time on your tour on July 31, 2017. We traveled a fair distance to find the orca, but once we got there, it was game on. Two, possibly three pods of transient orca put on a show for us, hunting and then celebrating with tail slaps and breaches. Party time on the ocean, a thrill to watch. Attached is my favorite shot from the trip. And the crew, well they couldn't have done a better job. Chris got us there while Sydney, Molly and Pete provided us with all the information we could ever need. These guys really know what they're talking about. Looking forward to our next trip with Eagle Wing. We will definitely tell our friends and family. Thanks again!

Eugénie

Waouhhh !! That's my first reaction to this marvelous experience! From the receptionist on the dwarf to the boat crew, it was amazing. You can tell that they all love doing what they are doing, they have experience Kerek's explanation were comprehendible to all the different age groups and made us all want to educate ourselves more about whales but also the life happening in the seas. Lily was great in describing the orcas family structure and the whales code naming. We saw about 6 whales and a 3 generation orca family ( from a respectful distance) . Thanks to the captain too, it was wonderful. I will certainly take another tour on my next visit to Victoria.

Cornelia Tan

We did a sunset tour on Aug 11 with Pete and Sierra. The whole experience was amazing and surreal as they brought us to a humpback whale wonderland.. An estimated 50+ whales as far as we could see and hear - will never forget it! Pete and Sierra were awesome, so friendly, knowledgeable and skilled. Thank you so much!

Moe Syzlak

My wife and I took a tour here a few years back and it was wonderful. We saw 2 pods that day one of which were harassing a humpback whale and than they took us out to see a lone male who had recently lost his mother and explained to us how important that first year would be for his survival. In fact the staff on the boat were all professionals in the field so the information was thorough and engaging. I would recommend taking a tour with this group and I will be looking for them again when we are next in the area.

Reed Scholz

Lots of fun. The crew really wants to make sure everyone is having a great time.

Anita Tasker

Sadly a lot of money for a long bumpy trip in a fast boat....yes we saw orcas but from so far away. Nothing at all like the video on your website. staff very nice and efficient but sadly did not live up to our high expectations. Especially after reading all the other reviews. Yes we understand wildlife cannot be ordered up to view but nonetheless a very disappointing trip today.

Brent Jarvie

Going out on my first Whale Watching Expedition, I chose Eagles Nest because of all the good reviews on Yelp. Went out on Easter 2017 and absolutely enjoyed the whole experience. Chris, Dale & Sydney were all great to be on board with and even shared a few tears of joy with Sydney seeing the California Transit Whales. I will never forget this awesome experience and I thank you all for making my soul glow:) I will be back on board!

Maike Maurer

I did the Sunset whal watching tour at the 24th of August and it was just awesome! The guides were super acknowledged and all about this tour was great! We saw whales, orcas and sea lions, the guides gave everything to make this trip incredible and so it was! One of the best days in my life so far! I would totally recommend it, worth every penny!

Joe Harwood

We went yesterday and had a great time. We got to see humpback whales and otters and birds. It was a great time. They took a ton of precautions and I recommend for locals and tourists alike.

Ashley Boisvert

Absolutely phenomenal experience!! The crew is wonderfully friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about their jobs. We were fortunate enough to seea beautiful humpback whale breaching about an hour and a half into the tour. One thing to note- heed their advice about dressing warmly in layers! It was a very warm day on land, but I was chilly in my hoodie and windbreaker. The team was also great about social distancing and sanitizing everything down. Thank you so much for the great morning- I will definitely recommend Eagle Wing Tours to everyone looking for something fun and educational to do in Victoria!

Brenda F

Wowzer whalzer! Oooh’s and awe’s abounded on this excellent afternoon whale adventure. This trip did not disappoint. "Wild 4 Whales" pretty much describes my fascination with and love for humpback whales so this was the boat for us. Previous encounters with whales in Mexico, Maui and Alaska have already provided me with a rich photo collection of humpback whales so I did not expect such awesome pics and videos this time. Not only did the whales "show up”, they provided a super splashing display of megaton gymnastics. Just when we thought the show was over, a final whale gracefully arched its magnificent humpback and gave us a smooth good-bye tale-wave before diving into the deep blue sea. At that moment, I captured a magical whale rainbow video which is a treasured keepsake memory. Great staff, awesome custom-designed boat and worthwhile trip. Be aware - the seas can be choppy, the wind strong and 3-1/2 hours brings out your best inner sailor. Be prepared - in July we took mitts, toques, down jackets, along with hooded windbreakers and we wore them all. We love to feel, smell and experience the sea air and spray so we prefer to sit in the front bow seats rather than in the cozier protected interior seats. Seals and Steller Sea Lions were nice to see, but the whale show ruled the day. Highlight of our holiday, for sure.

Kim Freter

We had a lovely time. The staff and the entire experience exceeded all of our expectations. Everything was top notch from reservation to check in to the excellent knowledge by our guides. And a great captain!

Szu W

FANTASTIC! Saw a few pods of transient Orcas hanging out together. Best TRIP EVER! Sidney and Pete are great and a lot of fun and we even heard whale sounds!

Ilaria Ferri

It was such an amazing tour. We had a beautiful sunny day and we had the chance to see the whales doing a lot bridges and a Mum play with his cub. It was so emotional to have the chance to see this beautiful animals pretty close. All the crew were super prepared, they gave us a lot of info about the different species of whales and all of them habits and they responded to all our questions. It was such a fantastic day! Pictures by Sarah Richards

Perri Hogan

This was our first whale watching tour and it did not disappoint! I chose Eagle Wing because it is family run and their commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable ethics. We took the semi-covered boat (it was the only one available, but would have been our preference either way!), which had a bathroom on board, a boxes of extra hats, gloves and jackets which was a really great touch. We saw a family of Orca feeding and playing, followed two humpback whales on a mission along the coast and finished the tour with a stop at Race Rocks to see the sea lions, birds and lighthouse. It was a well-organised tour with really friendly staff. I love that the company 'practices what they preach' and explain to customers their commitment to protecting the environment and the charities they support to encourage others to do the same! Thank you for the work you do!

Jenny Taylor

We had an AMAZING trip! The naturalists were even excited about the pod of orca playing and breaching within 20 minutes of sailing...and 40+ humpback whales alter in our tour!!! Epic.

We had a great tour with Eagle Wing. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, the boat was comfortable and well-suited for its purpose and most importantly we got to see whales in their natural habitat (a pod of transient orcas). Definitely worthwhile and I would happily recommend them.

Caroline Hamblett

The houseboats walking around Fisherman’s Wharf in Victoria BC.

Kristy Higginbotham

Overall good experience. The ride out and back was smooth. The crew worked hard to find us both orcas and humpbacks. The marine biologists were friendly and informative. We would do this tour again!

Z W

Even though it was a cold and gross rainy day, we had tons of fun! We spent just the right amount of time on board, and saw a few momma orcas and their babies! Seeing the sea lions was a nice (but stinky) bonus. The staff know their stuff, and will happily answer any questions you have.

Amber Rivière

Have to say I was pretty skeptical about the guarantee of seeing whales, but was pleased to see both Orcas and Humpback whales on our trip! The one guide, Riley, was so knowledgeable and passionate about her job! Learned alot about the different whales and thier habits. Highly recommend!

Nikolai Giblak

Everything was great. The whales were great. The provided gear for warmth was great. The boat ride was very enjoyable, got some air on the way back. Captain and crew member were friendly and informative. ONLY ONE COMPLAINT: The captain was on his cell phone (for a short period of time) while traveling back to the harbor. Not sure if it was a personal call/text whatever or business. Would rather not assume. Just seems like a potential liability for the company, crew, and passengers.

tyler lisk

Amazing experience with this tour group!! Stop looking at other your groups and book with these guys, you won't be disappointed! We had a marine biologist on our trip who was so friendly and knowledgeable, and you could tell that both her and the driver truely loved their job. We did the sunset whale watching in the scarib boat, it was a super smooth ride and when we got back they had hot chocolate waiting for us to warm us up. Great job guys!

Ulli Bielewicz

We took the 4 Ever Wild - Semi Covered Whale & Wildlife Tour. So much fun! The crew was super friendly and knowledgeable, pointing out all the different wildlife as we saw it. We saw 3 Orcas, seals, porpoises, bald eagles, and Ollie the sea otter! The boat was nice and came equipped with binoculars, hats, gloves, etc. Two restrooms on board, and lots of seating. I was worried the boat would be over-filled with passengers getting in the way of us seeing the animals, but that was not the case at all. Would definitely recommend!

parmila Ram

Had a amazing. Make sure take some gravel and dress up warm.

Hailie M

Our trip was beyond expectation! We traveled far out towards Port Renfrew where we encountered many humpbacks and the world's largest recorded orca feeding on a seal. We are local, we love our oceans and our whales, and Eagle Wing is the best company to adventure with. We had Captain Pete and Naturalist Jane, both very friendly and informative.

Cheryl Worrell

Having just broken my ankle before my cruise Eagle Wing was so helpful accommodating me so I could go whale watching. And what an awesome experience it was. We went on 6/9, everyone on the ship were helpful. The wealth of knowledge and love for these animals was incredible. We even turned back to go see the Humpbacks that were spotted! Couldn't have asked for a better day.

Efrain Dorantes

Awesome experience!!!!! Loved it!! The crew is awesome and kind.

Penny Tait

Had a blast whale watching yesterday, saw a couple of ocras, 3 humpback whales and a lot of seals. We were out longer than expected and very well taken care of.

P Falk

Pete and Mel were excellent guides on our trip today. Could really tell they love their jobs and made sure everyone had a great time. As a local, will be a returning customer!

Michael Rogers

I highly, highly recommend checking these folks out for some whale watching (especially in September). They have the largest range, and dope employees who care about one thing - seeing motherflipping whales. Honestly there is no price for the experience my group had.

Eric Hughes

Had an amazing trip, the tour guides were very informative and it was enjoyable for my entire family! We drove from Alberta and with us was my not so little Cane Corso puppy. Although we could not be able to bring him with us on the trip, Logan was an amazing help in watching him while we were aboard. He went above an beyond and when we arrived after the trip i could see they had a blast together. Thanks Logan for looking out!! much appreciated. Eagle wing give this dude a raise!

Robin Baker

I had a great time. Thank God for the windbreakers and the pants you lent me. I was comfortable through out the trip. I was truly impressed with the knowledge on board. The Captain's ability to handle a boat when the swells came was equally outstanding. Loved it all. Thank you. I will recommend Eagle Wing and whale watching in general.

Amy Pack

Eagle Wing Tours was outstanding and I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a beautiful day on the boat, cool and knowledgeable staff and 100% chance of seeing sea life - the staff was dedicated to finding orcas and we ended up being the only boat out all day that had the privilege of watching three orcas trail the coast line. Eagle Wing Tours went above and beyond by lending me personal sweaters to keep me warm and even took care of a poor dog for 5h30min while we were away on the boat. Incredible service, experience and learnings!

Glenda Kirby

A brilliant day. Saw both whales and seals. Weather beautiful.

Carl Khouri

100% worth it. Crew is supwr nice and professional.

Alannah Zaste

Wow!!! What an amazing time! My only complaint is that it ended! The crew was absolutely amazing - SO knowledgeable and friendly! We will most definitely be back, thank you SO much!! ????????????????????????

Marion Duncan

Outstanding company!!! I have been on three whale watching tours in Victoria, but have never had as an amazing time as I did with Eagle Wing. Staff is outstanding, boats are perfect for whale watching and it was the best I have ever experienced. We also had the opportunity to view Orcas...absolutely amazing and I highly recommend. This will definitely not be my last trip...see you again in three weeks!!!

Kim Chua

They're very professional, accommodating and friendly. They had to cancel our original booking because there were not enough participants so they asked us if we want a refund or take a later tour, we opted to take a later tour after they assured us that we would have enough time to make it to our ferry back to Vancouver. The day of the tour, the captain said that there would not be enough time to make it to our scheduled ferry but that they could move our original ferry booking (free of charge) to a later one so that we could enjoy the tour without worrying about our ferry. Unfortunately, we did not see any whales on the tour (we did see bald eagles and seals) though everybody tried so hard to look out for them, but they offered us a voucher to come back on a later tour. We had to go back to Vancouver so we were not able to use the voucher but the voucher has no expiration date so when we visit Victoria again we definitely would go on their tour. All in all, great customer service, they went above and beyond to accommodate and make sure everyone on board is comfortable (they lend jackets, hats, and gloves to make you feel warmer as the air is colder out in the ocean.) The crew was very knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely choose to go with them again even without the voucher.

OC_오씨

We didn’t watch the whale but had seal and sea lions. Better try between April and September!

Allyson De Roy

Amazing experience every time. The guides/naturalists are the BEST!

Akshay Gandhi

Ultimate whale watching experience! Loved it! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. We took the 9.30 am and saw hump back Whales and Orka Whales along with a few Sea lions. Nadia who helped us with booking was very courteous and professional. The staff on board was great as well. Derek was so knowledgeable!! Great experience overall!!

Kastytis Sileika

Wonderfull sunset trip, we saw two humpback whales for about 40 minutes swimming next to boat, flipping their tales, etc In addition we saw see lions and seals up close Highly recommended, captain is very good to find animals in the sea and guys on the boat very informative and helpful

Renee Walrafen

The best part of our birthday sunset whale watching tour was the incredible knowledgeable and friendly staff! We highly recommend Eagle Wing! We will be back!

Douglass Swanson

I have just completed three days of whale watching with Captain Scott and naturalist Derek with Eagle Wing Tours...my life is changed! Months before I sought out the most environmentally conscious company by contacting Center for Whale Research and was given the name of Eagle Wing. These professionals gave us incredible information about the natural history of each species of whale, along with information about the plight of the whales, especially the Southern Resident killer whales (orcas). AND, every trip we saw transients orcas, and humpbacks; also visited Race Rocks, where abundant seals, birds and sea lions were basking. The passion these pros have is infectious and you will come away wanting to make a difference in protecting and creating awareness of these incredible beings. I'm already planning my next trip.

Hayley M

Had such an amazing time whale watching with Eagle Wing! The staff were amazing. We saw more whales than I could have hoped for and they did such an awesome job of educating us too.

Kelly Hovind

Fantastic company to go on a trip with. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend going on a trip with them. Even though we went during the off season, the crew did a great job with knowledge and information to help keep people entertained.

Belinda Kirkland

Took the catamaran tour. Professional and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend them. I booked their company because of the positive reviews online. Would definitely use me again. They deliver!

Ollie Weeks

Went in the open boat tour with guides Pete and Lilly. Both very knowledgeable guides who made the experience. Amazon experience seeing this animals in the wild and the guides just added to the whole thing with background knowledge on the animals and the area, and by making the trio more entertaining as a whole

Richard Welstead

I've been whale watching before, but Eagle Wing is outstanding. Our tour was led by two biologists and their knowledge made a big difference - both in terms of knowing where the whales would be and giving us an insight into their world. We got fantastically close to a pod of transient killer whales towards the San Juan Islands and even watched them hunt a porpoise. We also saw a humpback mother and calf, sea lions, seals and a bald eagle. Our guides' enthusiasm was infectious and they practice what they preach. This is a carbon-neutral company, despite having a very fast boat.

Torri Johnson

Fantastic trip today!! Saw orcas, humpback whales, seals and sea lions. Awesome crew, facilities and care towards covid safety. Their dedication to the environment and reduction of the ecological impact was a big factor in our decision making and we are very happy that we decided to go with Eagle Wing.

Dan Saari

Guides were great. Had many amenities on the boat.

Wayne Fernandes

It was alot of fun! They were honest about whats happening, and kept us all well informed and updated, the captain, pete was very informative and funny and made the whole trip feel like a true adventure, the naturalist, Izzy was getting to know all of us and shared some awesome facts about the animals we were seeing, overall lots of fun, well worth the money and definitely a highlight of my trip to Victoria

Patrick Bines

We have just returned to the UK after a memorable weekend in Victoria. Without doubt, the highlight of our trip was whale watching with Eagle Wing Tours - I cannot recommend them highly enough! We enjoyed it so much we actually went out for a second time on our last day! The first trip was on the catamaran and then back out on the scarab, both of which were very comfortable and safe. Captain Pete & our guide Kerrick were very knowledgeable, friendly and made us feel safe throughout the trip.

Anmy Ho

Our whale watching experience was beyond expectations! The crew was professional and knowledgeable. We were also extremely lucky on our trip, and got to see humpback whales up close.

Kim Johansson

My fiance and I came on a whale watching tour last year. We saw 4 pods come and hunt a seal, jumping out of water etc. I thought this was amazing until this time. We took the speed boat this time. Pete was our captain and Sidney was a co captain. These 2 were on our boat lastyear and recognized us. We had about a 1 1/2 hour drive to get to the whales but when we did there were more than lastyear and we got to see a male that has not been seen for 6 years. Pete put a device in the water so we can hear the whales and they were very vocal that really made the experience so much better since transients usually aren't vocal. The whales ended up coming up and they were right beside our boat. Pete and Sidney are great at what they do and their enthusiasm really makes the trip so much better. Thanks Eagle Wing, Pete and Sidney for another amazing experience. We are going to try to make it out for another tour before we leave :)

Sneha Arekar

We took a Tour with them in first week of Sept 2020. The Staff is good. Guides share a lot of info with you on the tour. The range of this tour operator is larger than most others. they do take you miles around. provided masks and jackets. CON : I had booked with them through TripAdvisor. Tripadvisor had given a completely wrong address of the starting point. This got rectified only the previous night of the Tour when I had called them on my own. What if I had not ..????!!!>>????. my booking would have been wasted. I am expecting it should have been Tour operators responsibility to make that correction on their own.

Sarina Robinson

Whale watching with Eagle Wing Tours was worth every penny! I knew it was going to be a fun time but it far exceeded my expectations. We were thrilled to see so much wildlife, it wasn't just whales. They were also super helpful when I called a head of time to ask about sea sickness, I typically have issues but with several of their suggestions working together I can say I felt pretty good. I highly recommend it! I'll probably even bring my penny pincer of a husband next time, because I think he'll think it's worth it too.

Barbora Habalová

Caitlin is the best! She has tons of knowledge about the wildlife and the marine ecosystems. Truly breathtaking experience!

Mat Day

We didn't see any whales despite having reports of seeing orcas and humpbacks in the area but that's okay because the employees on board (I can't remember names. One had D-Rock on his jacket sleeve) were extremely knowledgeable and quite entertaining. We did a wild life tour where we saw plenty of deer, different variations of seals and lots of bald eagles. The views were absolutely gorgeous and the boat was comfortable. This is totally worth the money even without spotting a whale. There is a lot of ocean and I'm just thankful to have the opportunity and to meet great people taking care of wild life.

Melvin S

This was a great choice! The catamaran was easy to traverse and comfortable. Not only did we get lucky enough to see multiple types of whales in multiple locations but the staff were so passionate, informative, and entertaining I think it made up a good portion of the experience. I would recommend this group anytime.

Jody Cole

Had an amazing day whale watching with Pete and Izzy today. Got to watch 2 different families of Orcas and learnt so much about whales, life in Victoria and more. My 15 year old sooo enjoyed the day, boat ride and music selection by DJ Pete! Thank you for a great afternoon on thethwster@!

Rachel Quirk

The most AMAZING experience going in the 4 hour whale watching tour. The guide was fun, knowledgable and very skilled - he made sure we got some incredible views of the sealife. We got very lucky and saw 2 different groups of Orcas, seals and bald headed eagle. It was incredible, once in a lifetime experience. The boat rides we're so fun, very safe but also exhilarating. All the staff were excellent. Highly recommended, the best money and time spent all trip!

Claire Brunton

Been out with Eagle wing on a few occasions now and they never disappoint. Staff and crew are very informative and knowledgeable. Took the family out yesterday, saw Orcas and over 40 Humpbacks, just the most incredible experience. Can’t wait to go again. Totally recommend, way to go Eagle Wing!

Larissa C

AMAZING experience!!! Even better than I expected! Saw birds, seals and lots of orcas! And the sunset was incredible! Highly recommend!!! Pete and Lily were awesome and very funny! Well worth it ????????????????

Shaun Dakin

Trip was incredible. Staff were informative and accommodating. Boat was beautiful and we saw tons of Orcas after making trip most of the way to Vancouver

Scott Adams

This was my second time sailing with Eagle Wing -- this time, we chartered the whole boat for a bunch of friends and family. As always, they were super-friendly, professional, organized, and knew just about everything about the orcas and the surrounding environment. From the youngest kids onboard to the older folks, everyone had an incredible time -- thanks again, Eagle Wing!!

Samantha Alexander

Amazing company to go with for whale watching ! They were very friendly and gave us lots of insight and knowledge about our Oceans! They provide extra jackets and hats and gloves to keep warm and a whole bunch of extras. Very professional and just a blast to be around! Will book again with them when we head back out to Victoria!

Dan DiCecca

Staff at Eagle Wing Tours were very courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. They took us out on an amazing boat and took us to several different locations and explained in great detail the habitat around us. Moreover, we saw a variety of animals including seals, puffins, a bald eagle, Orcas. But the winner was sighting a hump back whale on 3 different occasions. All in all, this was an unbelievable 4 hour adventure. Highly recommend their services.

Patrick Kish

Great day on the water and crew was fantastic. We caught up to Orca POD 46B and were even lucky to watch them feed. High recommend this company and tour! March 7th 2020.

Tracy chowen

Very cool experience, saw lots of whales and the employees were amazing!

Couple's Curling

Great experience with Eagle Wing. Easy check in, Newer vessel, friendly knowledgeable stuff. We saw orcas today and it was fun. We have had another tour with a different company in Victoria and were quite dissappointed. Eagle Wing was so much better! We also forgot to take water, and one of the stuff member was able to help us with it too! All nearby stores were still closed as it was too early. It would be great to see different kind of whales on the same trip (at least try to find them) instead of watching the same orcas for over an hour. But we understand it is a hit and miss with the wildlife. Will recommend this company to others with no hesitation.

Mason Trawin

Very passionate about what they do and lots of conservation efforts

Kaymark Antazo

We thoroughly enjoyed our whale watching experience during our trip to Victoria last month. We had Pete as our captain and Lily on the boat with us. We did the open boat tour and absolutely loved it. They provided gear to help keep you warm and dry out in the sea which was so helpful because six layers of clothing was not enough! We saw 2 families of Orcas and a mother humpback and a calf (who breached the water! which was amazing to witness) Lily and Pete's enthusiasm made our experience even better. They were both very knowledgable and super friendly. We also saw sea lions and seals on Race Rock on the way back. Highly recommend Eagle Wing Whale and Wildlife Tours! Worth every penny.

Amy K

Extremely impressed with this tour. Great for kids and the crew is extremely knowledgeable!

Hannah Cooper

Had a great sunset trip with eagle wing tours. Saw so many orcas! The boat was small which felt more personable and the crew were so friendly and knowledgeable about the whales. Plus they gave us warm coats to wear! And they seem to genuinely care about conservation and their environmental impact

Paul Guerrero

My husband and I were vacationing in Victoria, and decided to go on our first ever, whale tour. Eagle Wing Tours was highly recommended to us. We booked space on the speed boat Serengeti tour. It was amazing. The boat only holds 10-12 people, so it was very personable. Because the speed boat was so fast, we were able to quickly get to areas where whales had been spotted. Peter, the tour guide, was fantastic. It was definitely worth the time and money. HIGHLY recommend. We saw numerous humpbacks, seals, sea lions, puffins and porpoises.

moira river

Amazing experience! We took the catamaran tour and it was very smooth. Captain and crew were helpful and knew lots of interesting facts about whales and the surrounding area. Though we did not see orcas we did get two humpbacks who breached. Captain even stopped on the way back to pull a large balloon out of the ocean that would have harmed marine life.I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone.

Lynne Gore

I have been whale watching with Eagle Wing since 2007. Best company in Victoria. Great day out on July 16 (my birthday) with the company of humpbacks. Sidney and Captain Pete were fabulous

Alexander Bourbonniere

We went whale watching with them and it was a fantastic experience. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They had a real passion for the job which made the experience all the more enjoyable. My friend had gone whale watching on the East Coast and said our trip with Eagle Wing Tours was way better. I highly reccomend Eagle Wings for anyone thinking of going whale watching!

Zeal Chris

It was great experience. I did see few whales. The staff is knowledgeable and explains everything so nicely. I do recommend this tour. It’s expensive no doubt but worth it

Kristin Howell

10000% recommend Eagle Wing!!! My husband is paralyzed and uses a manual wheelchair. Just for reference he is 28.5 inches wide. This tour was amazing. They never made my husband feel like a wheelchair user. They provided a ramp and muscles to get him on the boat. Once on the boat he was able to maneuver wherever he pleased. Once we got out to sea my husband transfer to a padded bench, this is important to prevent pressure sores in paralyzed people. Brendan immediately jumped in and offered assistance (normally workers think they are helping but just stare at us like they've never seen a wheelchair) and basically told us to do whatever felt comfortable to us. He was even able to move my husband's chair to a place that kept it dry and not in the way. Then Brendan told the captain exactly where my husband was sitting. The captain graciously kept the boat turned to where my husband could see the whales at all times. It was magical. Normally in these situations, being paralyzed, you kinda just see what you can see. That wasn't good enough for this boat crew. They truly care about the people on the boat and the animals in the water. Brendan came around with photos and names of each whale we spotted on our adventures. This whale watching adventure made out entire trip. You all are good people and kind souls and we sincerely appreciate the adventure.

John Heath

Exceptional experience from start to finish! Super organized and well knowledgeable staff! Highly recommended! Wesaw tonnes of orcas!

Jenny Yanke

Awesome tour. Saw a humpback, multiple seals and an orca pod. Guides were very knowledgeable and took time to answer any questions. Boat was clean.

Niharika Sreekumar

It was an amazing experience. I got sea sick but the staff was so helpful and they took care of me. Please dress warm and waterproof.. like dress really warm especially if attending the sunset tour. All in all lovely experience.

Brianne Stevenson

This was the highlight of our trip to Victoria! We looked at a couple other tours but are happy we chose this company. Many memories were made on the tour for us.

Jennah Knapp

Amazing trip out to see the beautiful scenary around vancouver Island and the u US islands and the wonderful wildlife. We got to see a family of Orcas swimming in their natural habitat and it took our breath away. Captain Russ was informative, funny and a great pilot/host and really made the trip even better, the serengeti boat we were on was fast and a really nice place to be to watch all the animals. Will never forget it. Highly recommend

Erica Potvin

Amazing experience! We got to see so many whales, very knowledgeable crew! Highly recommend!!!

Dawn Leyden

WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY! Derek is a terrific guide. He is knowledgeable and passionate about his work and the whales. He made me "see" the whales in a whole new light. Like many people, I imagine, I was hoping for the "whale jumping" picture; but Derek helped me understand the whales a little bit better. It is their ocean and they are following their own rules not mine. Next time I go, I will put away my camera and just enjoy the show. If Derek reads this, many thanks for the whale lesson. Next time I am in Victoria, Eagle Wing Tours will be my first stop - again. Dawn Leyden

Andrea Fernandez

Amazing tour guides. They will go the extra mile to take you see something.

Linda Macoomb

The tour was amazing. All 3 guys were knowledgeable and friendly. It was a great experience and I will be recommending it to all that are heading to the area.

Marta L.

Great service. The staff is super friendly and informative. The trip was very fun. Thank you for the great experience! Would definitely go on tours with them again.

Dhhfucjs Müller

Best whale watching in Victoria. Very friendly and informative staff. Good boats. They give you plenty time with the whales. We sah Orcas, Humpbacks and Sealions. Tour lasts about 4 h. Afternoon tour gives you a beautiful Sunset at the end.

Jan Hoyer

Best whale watching tour in Victoria B.C., for sure. Why? Because the owner and employees are truly respectful of and committed to the environment and the marine life of the area. They are super knowledgeable and educate you about the whales along the way. I learned so much! We took the 10:30am catamaran tour and followed a pod of 5 orcas in Rosario Strait. The ride was smooth and fun, the crew so friendly and helpful, and seeing the orcas was amazing! Worth every penny and I'd do it again. Definitely choose Eagle Wings for your tour! They are the best!

Bri3957

Amazing staff and beautiful scenery! Loved seeing the orcas and sea lions.

Tammy Cole

Amazing experience! Orcas, humpbacks, 3 diff seal species, bald eagles...worth every penny! Crew was very knowledgeable and exceptionally friendly. Would highly recommend Eagle Wing!

Tanzil Kishore

Exemplary customer service from the Eagle Wings team. Clear and crisp communication and also easy to read T&Cs so you are well prepped for your tour with them! Glad to have booked our tour with them and would definitely recommend!

Laurens Rutten

Tremendous guides. We have seen more than expected

Kirby A

What an amazing tour and people that run Eagle Wings. Can't say enough. They are the most informative people on the tour, helping you learn so much about the whales, area and history along with all the other animals in the area. They go out of their way to make sure you have a great time. Was running behind (our fault) and they met us in the parking lot to park our car so we could just go directly on board as to not miss the tour and also not hold the other passengers as well Recommend Eagle Wings very highly to anyone that wants a great and fun whale watching tour.

Tim Anderson

The crew & experience was amazing! The crew was very knowledgeable and they were so great. We saw several animals. We saw a sea lion with a fishing hook stuck in its mouth and they called it in right away & really cared & loved all the animals. It was an amazing experience

Ahmed Helmy

Amazing experience, crew people are amazing, enjoyed trip so much

Ronald Kloezen

We had the best time ever on the speedboat. Thrilling speed en the most wunderful time looking at the whales. We advise everybody too go and see the whales with eagle wing whale& wildlife.

Laura Volkers

Great people.Kind, funny, and doing their utmost to show you the beautiful whales. Which we did!!! Humpback Mickeywhale and a group of killerwhales which we have followed for longer than an hour. Saw a mum with baby and jumping and rolling over. Had a great time!!! Thanks!!!!!!

T H

Highly recommended. Any company can get you the wildlife viewing (they all radio through the sightings anyway), but this company stands out for the overall experience. The guides were highly knowledgeable and the whole crew was clearly focused on making sure everyone had a great and comfortable trip. Their Covid measures were some of the best I've seen.

Robert Monico

Our guides were Kaitlyn, John, Kerik, and Captain Russ and they were amazing! This was a phenomenal experience that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Everything from booking to check in to the boats were great. I highly recommend that you make time for this activity if you come to Victoria.

Felisha Maina

My husband and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary in BC and whale watching was part of our celebration. Although we booked our reservation weeks in advance, the open boat we scheduled departed before the depicted time, causing us to miss our tour as our water taxi arrived just on time for the scheduled departure. However, as we discussed the situation with the front desk staff, the lady present, Sydney, went above and beyond to address our frustrations by rescheduling our tour for later that day and offering it for free. Additionally, Eagle Wing Tours agreed to cover our Water Taxi fee as well due to the inconvenience. Although the initial experience was quite frustrating, we were very impressed with the professionalism and the company's degree of customer service to ensure their customers have a positive experience.

Roland Macrae

Just got back from Eagle Wing Tours and loved every minute of their 4 hour tour May 27th Seeing the mother humpback whales and calf breaching the waters around Victoria is a great way to spend a morning. We choose their faster boat with only 12 people and highly recommend speed over comfort. Jeff our Captain receives high marks for his skills on the water and ability to share a depth of knowledge regarding all aspects of marine mammals.

Larry N

Staff was great, the boat was great, wheelchair accessible(ramp if needed) and we saw whales!

Kim Mascoll

It was a fabulous experience for my son and I. We saw hundreds of sea lions and two sightings of humpback whales. The day out on the water was enhanced by our amazing captain and the marine biologist who accompanied him. They were professional, informative and genuinely dedicated in finding whales for us to see. The air was crisp and the water calm. I would absolutely recommend Eagle Wing Whale & Wildlife Tours to make some very special memories.

Loriane Albrieux

This morning trip (9am to 12.45pm) was amazing. They picked me up at my hotel. They gave us jacket, gloves and pants (really needed it). They explained everything before and during the trip. ** Thanks for making my dream come true. I've seen whales, Orcas, humpbacks, sea lions, etc. *** A huge thanks to Ciara and Peter (tour guides) who were just perfect with us.

Alvin Bali

Nice experience viewed 3 hump back whales, bunch of seals, an otter and amazing scenery. Dress with layers for weather. Went in November and got lucky with patches of sun. Bring water, easy dry snacks and sandwich style food. They have jackets and gloves and we went on the covered and open combo boat. Friendly staff that accept cash tips at the end for their great work keeping us entertained with no silence or useless banter - be prepared don't be those people. Be quick with your camera and safe as you're on a fast moving back in the elements on the open water. Would come back in early season as breaching is apparently more likely at start and end of feeding season.

Justin Lu

After my many visits to Victoria, this so far was my best experience in Victoria. I wish I would have done whale watching on my first visit. At first, I was worried about getting seasick, but the ride was much smoother than I expected. The boat was fast but also steady. We went out with Pete and Izzy at Eagle Wing on the open air Goldwing speed boat, and both staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. After one hour, we started seeing humpback whales, including two humpback whales breaching and two juvenile humpback whales. On the way back, we passed by Racing Rock island and saw lots of sea lions and seals. We also saw the one and only otter in the Salish sea region. The entire whale watching tour last more than 4hrs and we travelled almost as far as Port Renfrew. Thank Pete and Izzy for such a memorable whale watching experience, and also thank Nathan for booking the itinerary for us. For the price point, you get much better value with great boats and services than Prince of Whales. You can’t go wrong with Eagle Wing tours.

Bill Stonebraker

We wanted to go South where are humpback whales had been sighted. But the sea is in that area where 6 to 12 ft. Even on a 60-foot catamaran, that would have been a very uncomfortable trip. This tour company is so committed to making sure that passengers have an enjoyable trip, they extended our Tour by 2 hours in order to give us enough time to head north far enough to see a transient pod of orcas. We went so far north, that this was the only Victoria BC whale watching tour in the area. We ended up getting a five hour tour in order to ensure that they met their guarantee that we would see whales. What an awesome experience! Great folks.

Kenny T

We had a great time on this tour. We found whales basically 5 minutes into the boat tour. Our tour guides were very knowledgeable. They supplied windbreaker jackets if you were cold when outside. I really enjoyed this. The trip to the protected islands with all of the wildlife and lighthouse was just great. I will go on this again.

Marilyn Orr

The crew on our tour were absolutely amazing. It was a great tour for the whales we got to see (several pods of orcas with at least one baby) and the way the captain (Brett) handled the rather choppy seas. The crew were full of interesting information but the best thing about them were how compassionately they dealt with a number of passengers not doing well with the rough ride. Our 10 year old granddaughter became quite anxious with the rough ride and they could not have been more solicitous or helpful. Wonderful folks.

Karissa Thompson

Had a fantastic trip today with coworkers. Our captains were knowledgable, engaging and entertaining. Other than seeing Orion the humpback up near Nanaimo, the highlight was definitely Pete blasting "In The Air Tonight" at the end of the trip!!

Robin Ellis

Fantastic whale watching experience. I would highly recommend Eagle Wind Tours.

Make sure u know u need the ferry and make a whole day (2h Ferry and 1h drive after disembark) we nearly missed it not knowing this Was absolutely fabulous and I don't say stuff like that. Whales were on my wife bucket list saw Humpback and Orca (also an American Nuclear Submarine) definitely a 5++ evening (we did the 6p open-top) if ever back in BC it needs to be on your to do list

J P

It was a long ride, but we did get to see a family of whales. They give you plenty of time to take pictures and take in the experience, didn't feel rushed. The tour guides are very knowledgeable and you can tell they have a passion for what they do. Cant say I would do it a second time, but a great experience.

Jim Hamilton

Excellent day of whale watching. The guides were attentive, friendly, and ensured everyone stayed safe. The boat ride was surprisingly smooth. It was a completely enjoyable 4 hours on the water. We saw several Orca pods and a group of 4 humpback whales! Great way to spend an afternoon.

Liana Buessecker

We did the sunset sailing with Rod, Caitlin, Tom and Derek. The staff was very personable - Tom exceeded our expectations with his knowledge and how eager he was to answer our questions. Eagle Wing was the only company we could find that was baby friendly, and they kept us informed of expectant weather and ride conditions every step of the way. Definitely recommend these guys, we had an incredible experience - and we saw some whales too!

Brad U

What a great day! We saw humpbacks, orcas, seals and sea lions. Our crew was knowledgeable and honestly seemed just as excited as we were to be around these amazing animals. They aren’t kidding when they talk about the open boat being cold though. Bring some good gear to keep warm.

Hayden Ord

We had an awesome time on the open boat! We saw three teenage male orcas prowling along Mayne Island. The captain and naturalist were very informative and did a great job at sharing introductory knowledge and diving deep to nerd out with passengers that wanted to. The trip would have been worth it even if we hadn't seen whales. Ripping around in the open boat was a tonne of fun. Overall, the tour was a great experience. The crew made it feel like a trip out with friends that happened to be on a super fun boat with orca sightings. I highly recommend.

Tally Ho

Truly an outstanding experience. Never expected to see any whales and we saw 4! Great commentary from expert biologist and great captain (len? ) who's ability to discover whales bordered on the supernatural, ha. He was happy to share his experiences of living in Dulwich, London, as a boy and how he left a note on his fridge for his mum at 14 to say he'd gone sailing!!! The catamoran had stickers all over it saying gratuities gratefully accepted and for once I was keen to oblige but I only had a $5 & a $100 note on me. This led to a rather embarrassing moment leaving the boat as their didn't seem to be any collection bucket and $5 seemed totally inadequate for such a great experience. Note to myself 'I must get better at tipping'.

Charlotte Stroud

We were thrilled to see transient orca on our tour. Our guides travelled further than any other company to get us a first hand view of these incredible creatures. The guides were really informative and knowledgeable as well as fun! We had a great time! Plus this company is really environmentally conscious...money well spent!

Zachary Fedechko

Just go here. Don’t even think about it. These guys are TOP NOTCH. We had the pleasure of going out with Karac on a beautiful day and it was one of the best experiences we have had. Not only did we see whales, but Karac gave us a whole new appreciation for these creatures with his in-depth knowledge and amazing perspective. We will be back. Thanks again Karac!

James DeSimone

I've been on at least a dozen whale watching trips with eagle wing the staff are always amazing and very knowledgeable. If I could give them a 10 star rating I would!!!! Thank you for the amazing trips.

Ruth Kroek

We had a spectacular day! We got to see a pod of transient killer whales. The crew were knowledgeable and enthusiastic! Loved it, it was a perfect day.

Michael Klöpper

A great tour. It was very long, we saw lots of animals, there were very many helpful and interesting explanations by the crew and the boat was very nice also.

Carrie Ohlheiser

Fantastic tour. Lilly's commentary throughout was great - very informative and interestin.

Peter M

We had an incredible time! Saw several humpback whales and got up close and personal. The staff are very thoughtful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Christian Harinarain

Our experience at Eagle Wing Tours was nothing short of delightful. We were coming in from Vancouver and we ran into delays on the highway which made us late to our booking, but Eagle Wings accommodated us by waiting for our arrival. They parked our cars for us to help us save time and even paid for our parking. We had a phenomenal experience on the water and saw so much. Captain Russ and Caitlin (apologies if I misspelled this) took their time to ensure we were getting the best views. We saw orcas and seals, the cruise around Spine Island was also breathtaking. We learned a lot and the experience was comfortable, safe and still very adventurous. Eagle Wings took every step to ensure we had the most extraordinary experience possible and they created memories that my friends and I will never forget. We highly recommend Eagle Wing, they put your experience above all and we can guarantee you will have an exceptional time.

Nicole T

Saw humpacks so close you could literally see in the blowhole! Would recommend !

Justin Kyuho Kim

Great whale tour, got to see lovely hump back whales. They really care about the environment and nature, and explain in details how important it is to protect our environment.

Celna Sousa

Amazing staff and whale watching experience. Staff Pete and Kaitlyn are very knowledgable and full of information. We had a great time and we will be sure to let others know about our experience :)

Evan Boudreau

My first time whale watching and had a great experience! Far exceeded my expectations. The staff were very helpful and extremely knowledgeable! Would highly recommend! We got to see some Orcas hunting a sea lion!

Bozko

Outstanding!! AMAZING! And everything wonderful! I have been on other whale watching tours and they were ok but had only a small boat or a guide who was not a living encyclopedia on ocean spices that were on the tour ? Our tour guides were all very friendly and well informed on all safety and fun ! Our boat was a huge catamaran style that can accommodate 56 passengers in total style and comfort! It may seem odd but the boat has an on board washrooms and it is a HUGE thing to have when you need one one a four to five hour tour !! Well worth the reasonable price for an afternoon trip with a great crew of people 10 stars ⭐️ If I could

Emma Abicht

Amazing animals and views, Guaranteed sightings, friendly and well knowledged staff. An all round fantastic experience.

Antje S

The best experience we ever had. Nice and helpful staff, guaranteed whales and we really saw a lot of them. It was just great!!

Grace Yun

Sierra helped me out a lot. Helped me to feel better when I wasnt feeling too well... thank you Sierra! Captain Peter was really funny and knowledgeable. Kids loved it! Highly recommend it!

Alazar Semere

Friendly crew, great sights to see and my family loved the outing. Can't ask for anything else.

Jason Mauchley

We were able to attend a tour May 3rd. Captain Rod, Dale, and Derek were our guides. I am so glad we chose Eagle Wing. These men taught us so much. We also were able to see 12 Orcas. Experience and memories of a lifetime.

Hayley Spittle

Fantastic experience, highly recommend! The crew were very welcoming, clearly passionate about their job, environment and providing an amazing experience. They knew their stuff and consistently asked us all throughout the tour if we were warm enough, as they had blankets for us if we did get cold. We spent a great time with the humpback whales and went hunting for other animals that were around too. I would definitely return and do this tour again. I booked this tour from looking at the reviews and clearly they deserve the 4.9 rating that they have.

Mandy G

Amazing! I feel so lucky to have seen the amazing wildlife in our oceans. The Staff at eagle wing are so knowledgeable, friendly, patient and safety conscious I cannot say enough good things about them. If you ever get the opportunity to go on the water with Eagle Wing Whale and Wildlife. Don't think twice get those warm clothes on and get out there. AMAZING! Thank you ????

VM Leonard

I highly recommend Eagle Wing. They were so friendly and passionate about the environment. We were on a new boat that was extremely nice and comfortable. We saw whales within 30 minutes of our tour. It was absolutely amazing and will remain a family experience that we will cherish forever. Worth every cent.

Angelina Stiglich

Wonderful tour! Our guides were so passionate and knowledgeable; it was an amazing experience.

Drew Madia

We would HIGHLY suggest you take your whale watching business to Eagle Wing Whale & Wildlife Tours! Not only did we have a fantastic time aboard a very clean and comfortable vessel, but also we're lucky enough to see some of the most majestic animals the world has to offer - namely Orca whales, Humpback whales and seals! The crew was all about "safety first" and provided some great information for those of us who are not well-versed in all things whale! We saw what the other companies have to offer but think you should go with Eagle Wing like we did!

Gord Griffin

First day we went unfortunately we didn't see any whales but true to their word we booked again for the next day at no charge. The second trip was amazing. We were lucky enough to be able to see a pod of orcas play for about an hour. Was an amazing experience. Thank you to our experienced crew. Captain Russ Tom and Sierra did an amazing job with there knowledge and experience. Thank you Eagle Wing

jimisandwich

You know you booked the right tour, when your guides get even more excited than yourself!!! AWESOME!

Alison Hoogland

We went out on a smaller boat and our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and funny! We were the only boat in the middle of 12 humpback whales lunge feeding, there are no words to describe how incredible the experience was. Then when we think we are done Captain Dale speeds us along to see a pod of 4 Transient Orca whales. Best whale watching company I've been out with yet!

Dana E

Absolutely amazing! The vessel was a state of the art catamaran staffed with friendly, professional and highly knowledgeable people that are obviously passionate about marine mammals. We saw orcas and sea lions but the best were the humpbacks! Four of them.literally came up along side the boat and began playing and nudging us and spraying us with water! And murphy's law, my phone died 5 minutes before. I got a few distance shot but them coming close up like that was once in a lifetime. Thank you Eagle Wing!

Duncan May

Staff is extremely knowledgeable and you can tell they love what they do!

Angelika K.

We really enjoyed our tour and were very lucky to see Orcas and many Humpback Whales. The boat was good and some warming jackets were provided. Highly recommended!

Paul JIL

I want to start off by saying if I could give these guys 10 stars I would. I guess 5 stars will suffice. Since I was a little kid, I've always wanted to see wild orcas in their natural habitat. I've been on whale watching tours before with no luck. I heard Eagle Wing tours were the best in the business so when my girlfriend and I decided to make a trip out to Victoria, we made sure we booked a whale watching tour. Our captains, Pete, Russ and Meaghan were amazing. They all had so much love and knowledge for the animals that we saw. We had the perfect trip, saw a family of transient orcas with the rare white calf only 15 minutes after leaving the harbour. We then saw seals, humpback whales and all sorts of amazing scenery. But the highlight was seeing the orcas in real life. My girlfriend and I could have talked to Meaghan for hours about these animals and you could tell how much they meant to her and how passionate she was about her job. It was honestly so amazing. I know we got lucky with seeing all the wild life however, with regards to Covid-19 restrictions, Eagle Wing did a fantastic job! They provided everyone with cool whale masks that were worn at all times. The open boat we were on even had a bathroom that we could use and was sanitized between every use. The booking process was a breeze and they even called us in advance to tell us about potential high winds on our scheduled tour date, so they gave us an option to move our tour to a different day with better weather. We did so and it did not disappoint. Overall, it was an amazing experience, I can't say enough about this family owned company. If your looking to do a wildlife watching tour, book with these guys! I'm still jacked about our experience haha. Thanks Pete, Russ and Meaghan!

Benjamin Miller

Amazing sunset tour with Karac and Jane. They were knowledgeable and friendly. We were lucky enough to see a pod of orcas playing and travelling together.

Danie van der Merwe

Great trip for both young and old! Very professional and knowledgeable crew. There is a reason why this company is so highly rated!

Joan Broto

We opted for the open boat whale watching tour and was very pleased with our overall experience. The crew was very knowledgeable, provided great insights about the animals we saw, and most importantly they made sure our experience was enjoyable. Overall I highly recommend this company and very impressed with their dedication to conservancy.

Ken Hwang

Amazing experience with a friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. They will go the distance to make sure you see the orcas. Just make sure you dress warmly and be prepared for a fast and thrilling ride on the boat (they need to travel pretty far out!)

Aline

Eagle Wing helped out super quickly with any questions we had over the live chat function. The tour itself was super interesting, we saw a lot of killer whales and other wildlife. The guides gave a lot of useful information. Definitely recommend this company!

Alison Le Corre

Whale guarantee, which we had to use. Very informed staff. Great trips. But definitely bring warm clothes.

Sarah Schick

The knowledge of the guides on the tour was amazing. Elise was so engaging with my nephew and had every answer to all of his Orca questions (give this girl a raise)! We went on the sunset tour with the semi covered boat and my sister who has mobility issues (uses a cane) had no troubles getting around anywhere on the boat! I liked knowing that the company has a real passion for what the were promoting! Thank you guys for an amazing experience!

John Basterfield

Went whale watching with this company for the second time. Spacious and comfortable catamaran. The crew did an excellent safety review and provided great information on the wildlife encountered. We had an amazing encounter with humpback whales that came right up to the boat and kept moving from one side of the boat to the other. Even the crew was awestruck. I would highly recommend this company if you are planning on whale watching from Victoria.

Sandra Ridge

Eagle Wing tours are amazing! The staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and you can tell they all really care about protecting the environment and the animals within. They also checked on everyone to ensure we were comfortable and having a great time. I liked how not only did we see whales, but they made other stops to see other wildlife like sea lions, bald eagles, and elephants seals. Definitely recommend this whale watching company over the others!

Bb Miles

We took family members on their first trip out of the United States and our first day trip was whale watching with Eagle Wing Tours. It was a perfect day. We saw both humpbacks and orca whales. The staff was friendly, fun and knowledgeable. This is my third whale watching trip, the first with Eagle Wing Tours and it was by far the best overall experience . Val is a gem!

Harvey Koffman

What an amazing time! We were lucky enough to encounter a pod of orcas quickly, and followed them for over an hour and a half. We saw them feed, tail-slap, and breech! Lili and Peter were excellent: very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Very highly recommended! (And yes..... It gets very cold out there!)

Quinn Campbell

This was the experience of a lifetime. Crew was so knowledgeable and helpful. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure the trip was memorable. The captain was able to locate a number of humpback whales and even took us to see Stellar sea lions at lighthouse/reserve. On board staff provided gloves and toques for those of us who came less prepared for the level of chill the wind provides off the pacific. I can't wait to come back again and look forward to bringing my son next time.

Sarah Richards

In town to tour some friends from Europe and went on the 3pm tour - partial coverage boat. Was AMAZING!! The team did great and really made the experience memorable. Also the boat was really comfortable event for 40 ppl. Lots of places to site and experience the tour!

K S

The staff at Eagle Wing Tours are amazing - both on and off the boat! The front desk staff were so kind, welcoming, and accommodating when I came to the tour in inappropriate footwear (my own mistake). They went above and beyond to ensure my experience was as comfortable and safe as possible. The guides on the boat were so enthusiastic, approachable, knowledgeable, and engaging. They chose a stunning scenic route through impossibly beautiful passes. To top it all off, we had whale sightings unmatched by any tour I’ve experienced. We learned a lot, laughed a lot, and were awestruck by all of the phenomenal wildlife sightings. I’d recommend Eagle Wing to anyone visiting Victoria. Thanks to the team for an unforgettable adventure!!!

Vicky Fyfe

Orcas, humpbacks, sea lions, seals, otters, eagles....Eagle Wing never disappoints. Their knowledge is superior, their energy and passion for what they do makes the experience unforgettable.

Saleem Ahmad

We took the 4 Ever Wild tour with Eagle Wing Whale & Wildlife Tours. Their 5 star rating is absolutely spot on. I would give them seven stars actually. The entire tour was extremely well organized Captain Brett made sure we get 100% of our moneys worth and we were able to see two families of whale. The crew consisting of Lilly, Tom and Megan were simply amazing and very knowledgeable and kept us updated and informed. Thank you all!!

Emily Baird

First whale watching trip for me - an absolute success. We saw minke whales, orcas, elephant seals, bald eagles and a puffin. Absolutely amazing staff who make a great effort to ensure you are comfortable. The naturalists on board were ready to tell you facts about all the animals and were keen to answer your questions. It was easy to see this company care about the environment these animals live in. A great day. Tip: dress like it is winter! Even though it was 23c in Victoria with no wind it felt like a windy winters day on the sea.

judy larush

We were 4 adults, two 10-year olds, a 7 & an 8 year old, all family. Everyone enjoyed the experience & felt it was good value for the money. I'm an apprehensive sailor, but we had a safety briefing and equipment. We all needed the supplied jackets. The catamaran was stable & child-safe. There were shelves for our packs of food & gear, plenty of seating, and a clean bathroom. Our naturalist really knew his stuff. The experienced captain knew the area & the habits of marine creatures, which ensured views of whales, seals, sea lions, a sea otter & bald eagles. We were all tired but happy after 4 hours onboard. It was a wonderful afternoon for me, a local, and especially for my out of town guests.

Tannyce Tremblay

Wow! This was a highlight for us on our trip to Victoria! My boyfriend and I had never been whale watching before and did not know what to expect. We were completely blown away. The crew was amazing. Izzy was situated with a small group of us at the back of the boat, and provided us with information the entire trip. She was so knowledgable and there to answer any questions we had. We saw Humpback whales on our trip. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Victoria. We are going to do it again on our next trip, as every time would be different. Amazing experience!

Manuel Riedl

Excellent experience! We had a wonderful tour with a nice crew giving us good information about the whales and the wildlife out there. We have seen humpback and killer whales as well as seals, awesome!

paul Taylor

Best whale watching in town

Fave Kleine

Eagle Wing Tours- you IMPRESSED us!!! We were so pleased with the tour. We were fortunate to see 2 pods of Orcas swimming and spent a couple of hours watching them. Then we went to watch a humpback, then over to see the sea lions and an old lighthouse...the second oldest in Canada! Scott, our Captain and Sydney, were unbelievable! Fun, knowledgeable...but their love and respect of the ocean was so inspiring. Highly recommend these guys. What a great, memorable day we had! Thanks Eagle Wing! An experience of a lifetime!

Matthew Nyhuis

Not bad tour... only saw humpbacks though and no orcas unfortunately. Not there fault just mother nature not cooperating. You could really tell though that the staff enjoyed there job. Hope if your booking here you get better luck because luck is what it really comes down too.

Olga Bersotsky

We had an awesome trip! Thank you guys!

Erik P

Amazing!!! Went on the open boat, great sightings, wonderful customer service.. 10/10

Donya Naseri Aliabadi

It was a great experience, Caitlin and the whole crew are awesome ????????

Dana P

Great guides and tours. The catamaran is a nice different way to whale watch too. We've been 2x and both times saw whales...1x was humpback, 1x was orca...and a bunch of other sea animals and really cool places.
