Loved this. I had no idea this was so close to my home in Ontario. We started floating from Paris to Brant ford. It was about a 4 and a half hour float. The water is kinda brown but shallow for the most part. Lots of friendly people on the river too. It was such a great time and I would 100% do that again.

We went River Tubing with the Grand River Rafting company at Brantford Conservation area on July 2021. We were a group of 3 friends and this was our first time tubing ! Although we were all fully vaccinated yet we were cautious with the masks and sanitisers and maintained distance with others. We loved the experience, the staff were knowledgable and managed the entire thing very smoothly. We parked at the end point and were transferred to the start point by a shuttle ( distancing was maintained in the shuttle too and they even disinfected the shuttles after each trip ). There were changing rooms available at the end of the trip at the exit point which were quite clean ! We had chosen the easiest 5 km trip which is supposed to take 2 hours as it was our first time. Would love to go for other experiences like kayaking may be again with them and definitely recommend friends to visit too !

Nice place for canoeing or kayaking. The maps that they had and the explanation they give is a bit confusing but it wasn't difficult at all to complete the 11 km canoe trip! I wish they would handout pamphlet or would put signs in the spots they specified on the map.

Very friendly staff, but explained everything quickly which was impossible to remember. Did not give out maps nor mentioned the maps of the river and points of interest. The tandem kayak was great and rafting down the river very enjoyable. The woman went on the bus to explain the bus rules like we were little kids. There were two picnic areas on the way and we watched for them carefully but did not see any. There were no signs to help us direct to the picnic areas along the river. The same woman mentioned chips they would give us discounts in the area stores but at the end of the rafting the same woman was there never mentioned or offered them again. For a person who did it first time it was not well organized. But the river was still beautiful.

I'm actually not a customer of Heritage River. What happened was I was planning a trip and booked canoes with them. Upon a change of plans, I realized that I would no longer be needing their services and cancelled my booking without any issues. I was having some trouble finding canoes in the location of my new destination and on a whim asked Garth Pottruff (owner) if he knew where I could find some. He went out of his way to ask his contacts and research my new destination. Within 24-hours I had 2 canoes booked! I would definitely recommend this company solely on their customer service!

Best money spent in a long while. Kayaks were brand new and they supplied everything you needed. Just showed up with a water bottle and my cell phone. Excellent service and answered every question knowledgeably and promptly. They even tell you all the spots on your map to look for and stop along the way for scenery and trails. Overall, great time!

Loved this experience, I wish I would have known to go park car at the end spot instead of beginning so made an extra trip but overall it was a really great experience and there's different water equipment you could use we stopped at the bean park in Paris for lunch because the picnic area the rafting company suggested was 2 hours into the trip n we couldn't wait, friendly funny staff and good equipment.

Great experience. Nice and easy kayaking. I wish the river was a bit deeper in certain areas. Quite easy to beach yourself.

The communication during booking was easy and clear. We rented two Kayaks, and they offered free shuttle. The staff was very friendly and easy going. He offered lots of information, and offered some training before we hit the water. If you want to have a nice rafting experience, this is your go to place.

Rented a tandem kayak. It was a very enjoyably day on the river. I did a similar trip out of Kitchener area, but I enjoyed this section of the river much more. Will definitely be back! Grand River Rafting company was well-organized. I liked the map given to us so that we knew where we were as we paddled down the river, and a few points of interest to look out for.

First off we were not told that if it was windy you had better be in really super shape. the first 2 km were horrible, the wind was pushing us backward against the current, and totally exhausted us so that we could not enjoy the rest of the trip. Be prepared to paddle the whole way. I was so disappointed thought this was going to be a drift down the river and relaxing, sure some paddling and it was not even close.

We had a great experience. I've tried another canoeing company and this one is better. We were given a map of our journey that included interesting places to stop along the river like where to get spring water, what side of an island to go on, best place to go body surfing. It was busy but they still carefully explained the map to us. The other company didn't give a map at all. They explained what we needed to do before we started, but it wasn't always easy to remember and no details about interesting places to stop at . This location also has more convenient parking compared to the other place. I liked the lifejackets better because they had zippered pockets in them to keep my keys and credit card in and we were given a dry bag for our belongings and some Ziploc bags. The other place just gave the Ziploc bags.

Did not feel safe for covid Most seats in bus were filled, with no gaps. Bus driver did not seat us, as website states. Passengers removed masks to eat and drink, passing and sharing food River level seemed low, boat got stuck and had to get out and manually dislodge it at multiple points Water came in bottom of yak, so shorts were soaked within seconds Too many people on bus and river Will not be using this company again during covid
