We went on a tour with these guys in August, so the water level was pretty low, but we had a great time. They convinced us to take the kayak and it was super fun. It was more work than other raft trips we've been on, but totally worth it!

The rafting part was fun for sure, but everything else about the trip was really pretty amateurish; lots of time wasted, poorly thought through procedures, and some staff who honestly were not really very shall we say "customer focussed" !

Best Rafting Tours we have experienced!! I have done this rafting tour twice now and both experiences were amazing! The staff over accommodated, were super friendly and so much fun they truly make the experience awesome for everyone! Our guide Cody was so awesome not only did we have such an amazing ride down the river he went above and beyond to take care of all our needs later into the night as we stayed at the beautiful campground! Amazing place, would strongly recommend visiting this place. Ryan and his team ensure you have fun out there in the safest manner. No cell phone network from half hour before this place so load your map ahead of time if you are new to driving in remote locations. There are signs out there to help you as well.

Whitewater rafting was the highlight of our family vacation. The guides were a perfect balance of knowledge, professionalism, humour, and fun. The value for the money spent is great as well. We came to Mukwah for a Bachelorette party! We stayed in the campground and went rafting while there. Ryan went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and our guide, Dawson, made the day so much fun. I highly recommend these tours! Anyone on the fence, don't be! The guides all know the river like the back of their hand and there was never a time where I didn't feel safe.

I had a blast and a 3 hour smile as we floated down the river. This country of Canada is amazing. Not much is better than rafting down a river in the foothills of the mountains, breathing the air, seeing the animals and getting up close with the chilly runoff river water. The staff are extremely personable, with lots of stories of themselves and the river. During the trip they were always letting us know what set of rapids were coming up next, and how the river changes in volume, speed and channels. They would tell us of their personal experiences in their profession and even how other rivers rate to the Red Deer. I appreciated the professionalism while guiding us and the clean language they all spoke with. (Bryan, Duncan, Cody and Allan- 2 thumbs up) Be prepared. This is an adventure tour in the Canadian backcountry. Doing your part by carrying and paddling, getting wet and looking out for each other is part of the deal, the experience and the fun.

Absolutely amazing! The guides were both skilled and entertaining. The owner and staff at the base camp and camp ground treat you like family. The food was delicious! The camp sites were clean. We rented the little cabin and it was very spacious and the bed was more comfortable than some hotel beds I've slept in. I will definitely be back!

We rafted on July 23rd and my wife and I had a blast. Staff was so friendly and very knowledgeable. Great orientation and everything was provided for us. Our guide Jocelyn, was outstanding, friendly and very patient. Ryan - she deserves a raise!!! This was our third different rafting company and this one definitely stands out the most. We will be back for sure, but will come earlier in the year when the water is higher

My wife and I had a fantastic rafting tour today. We chose the sport jaunty full day trip. This is the race car of rafts. The green goblin was the raft we had. Tour operator Ryan and staff of Dawson and Jen all came along for the adventure. Very experienced, safe and fun to be around. We definitely got wet, had to paddle and be part of the crew for the raft. Stopped for a cliff jump and very quick swim to the shore. Heart pumping and all smiles after the many rapids and one cliff drop. Highly recommended tour!!

It was literally AMAZING!!!! And we had so much fun!!!! The team was more than friendly, and the rafting trip was incredible! We stayed there for a night as well since the place has a campground, you can decide to rent a cabin or just bring your own tent/rv, and like previously in the day, the team was here to help us for everything and to make us feel the best possible. Thank you so much!! I has been a very long time we didn't have such a good time and an amazing experience like we did with you! I truly recommend this place, you won't regret it!!!

We were a group of 10 including 2 of them 11 yr old. It was a fantastic experience and every one in the group has the same thing to say, "Guys at Mukwah you are the best". Jared our guide was very good and knowledgeable, kept us entertained through out the 2.5 hrs sampler. Highly recommended to conquer your inner fears and challenges.

Received a 'Full Jaunty' (4½ hrs) trip for my teenaged son and I as a Father's Day gift. Didn't know what to expect but Ryan and his talented staff of guides — Viva, Alan, Duncan and Duane — made it a fun and amazing experience. Not having rafted before, the Red Deer River was a great introduction — starting off easily with some smaller rapids (shared portion with 2½ hours 'The Sampler' package) and building to more excitement in the last 2 hours with bigger waves and more opportunities to get wet. Incredible scenery and interesting to see the power / aftermath of the 2013 flood and how it affected the river. A great Canada Day weekend experience... complete with fireworks display! Thanks for a great trip! TIPS: - eat well at the pre-rafting lunch... there is plenty there and you will need the fuel - if there is possibility of being overcast, take the optional Paddling jacket... even if just to put in the 'dry bag' in case. We had beautiful sun for the first section and didn't need the jacket but were glad we had them for the second half when it clouded over and the waves were bigger. - if you're looking for excitement... take a turn sitting at the front of the raft... you see everything up close and get the full splash experience. - try the cliff jump in the first part ('The Sampler') of the trip... it isn't as scary as it looks and you'll regret it if you don't - don't get freaked out during the safety briefing — they do a great job of letting you know what to do if you fall out of the boat... but nobody even came close on our trip

We (myself and two kids 7 and 10) had an awesome time on the Res Deer River with Mukwah Rafting Tours. Kids were apprehensive to begin with, but once we got on the River, that they referred to as Nature's roller coaster, you couldn't wipe the smile off their faces.The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Our guide Ryan, after 21 years guiding on the Red Deer, seems to have it dialed in. We stayed in a cabin at the Mukwah campground a great alternative to renting especially in the rain. It was a great way for the kids to unplug and learn some outdoor skills. Thanks Mukwah for the experience and memories!
