Our rafting experience was great! It was our first time and the whole team at Chinook made sure we had an awesome time! We got a little lost coming in from Calgary because we tried following the GPS but I would recommend just following the directions from their email. Our guide, Alex was very entertaining, friendly, and hilarious! Even though we did the alternate route on the Kananaskis river with extra added surfs instead of the Horseshoe Canyon trip because of dangerous water conditions he made sure that we had tons of fun! The views on the Kananaskis river were very nice as well. Chinook provided snacks, hot chocolate, and coffee as well as free pictures of our rafting experience! I would highly recommend white water rafting with this company!!

Good rafting experience..would recommend it for sure..its not that tough as it looks..13 year and higher can do it easily...if u r looking for rapids 4 and rapids 5, this might dessapoint you, but good for rapids 3.

Get ready for some wet and wild adventures. Chinook took care of all the needed items. We showed up, got some instruction and safety before we headed out for a fun time on the water. All in all a really fun way to enjoy the day with a REFRESHING dip in the bow river. Such an amazing group of people who kept the energy going all day. Much fun!

Don't miss it if you have not done rafting before. It is friendly and a great fun for the family. Despite what they advertise, however, you do need physical fitness and can't really do it comfortably if you have disabilities. It seems safe for all age groups. Not much of a challenge if you are looking for a high adrenaline activity but still gives you enough fun and pleasure. Highly recommended.

Very knowledgeable guides, and they absolutely instilled confidence with regards to safety. They actually had two guides rush to save someone who had fallen out of a different company's raft; first to pull him out of the water and second to bring over a first aid kit.

We went to the Kananaskis Surfing trip with David, it was incredibly fun and a great arm workout. Bring a swimsuit as you will definitely get soaked! I would definitely go again for Horseshoe Canyon!

I was extremely impressed with the level of organization and care Chinook takes to ensure their guests are having not only a blast but are safely prepared. Numerous precautions in particular were taken for covid and spread. Our guide Gabriel was knowledgable and friendly - even saving go pro footage to send to us later. Would highly recommend and take a tour with them again.

This was a lot of fun! Rafted and did some cliff jumping. The staff were great and very knowledgable. Enjoyed our time rafting. They had a photographer follow us around and take pictures. Could have had a few more sets of rapids but it was very fun. Would defiantly use the company again.

What a wonderful experience! My husband and I took are not seasoned travelers but we took our first ever vacation this July. My husband was interested in white water rafting and I stumbled across Chinook Rafting when researching places. I was very hesitant to go because I'm a baby with new experiences but I decided to just go for it. Boy am I glad I did! We did the Horseshoe Canyon trip and Gerson and Richard were our guides. It was a wonderful experience with amazing, funny staff and an excellent safety process. I felt safe the entire time and it was truly the highlight of my vacation. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Great experience. Very friendly guides and instructors. It was a very cold morning and we were skeptical, but they provided all the gear like wet suits, fleece, splash jackets and booties.. So we were comfy and warm throughout. Provided hot chocolate and refreshments after. I would recommend them.

What an absolutely incredible family activity! We had a group of 7 - 3 adults and 4 kids who were between 5-9 years old. Gabriel was our guide and did we ever have a BLAST! As the trip went on, the kids all got braver and were able to try paddling. The youngest two even hopped into the water! This trip wasn’t just for the kids. The adults had a blast joking with each other and splashing throughout the ride. Due to COVID-19, each group had its own raft, so our family of four (kids age 8 and 11) had our own guide. The 8yo didn't get to paddle. The rapids at Kananaskis were classes 2-3, very calm compare to other place we (the adults) had gone whitewater rafting before. It's perfect for kids because there is basically no way for the raft to flip. The latter half of the trip had no rapids at all. Our guide Gabriel wore a mask for the entire ride. He was experienced and good with the kids.

These folks were amazing. The guides come from all over the world and teach noobs and experienced rafters to navigate some fun rapids! Our guides told us about the area, the two movies filmed on site on the river. The our guide, Max, from Scotland, was friendly, informative and seemed very experienced on the raft! We'll definite do it again, more than likely, we'll go earlier in the season to get some class 4 rapids and a LOT more water soaking us in those rapids! They also have a lighter run for smaller kids and they rearrange the rapids as the water levels change. Seems like a lot of fun too!

A group of friends and I (7 in total) did the Horseshoe Canyon rafting tour with the cliff jump option as a couple people had never rafted before. While the rafting guides were knowledgeable and entertaining, the actual rafting experience left much to be desired. If you are looking to float down a river and see the sights while learning how to raft, I would recommend this tour. If you want to experience rafting and learn while doing, save your money for a different trip. The cliff jump is a majority of the tour.

We originally booked for the Horseshoe but the river was high. Instead they took us to a 2-3 level. Our instructor was from Costa Rico. Super nice and was well knowledgeable in his skill. We really enjoyed him. He made it fun for us and kept us engaged throughout the trip.

If you are looking for a first time experience this is a great place to go. The ride is pretty tame. A good trip if you have kids.The scenery is wonderful and the guides are awesome. They are organized and friendly and very diverse. I regrettably do not remember the names, just the accents :)

Oh boy was this a blast. We did the Kananaskis river and an’t wait to try the other spots. The guides were not only friendly but personable, knowledgeable, professional, but also very colourful. They pack your valuables in a water proof bag so it’s secure. Also they have a photographer throughout the trip to capture action shots. I’ve rafter before in Whistler and this tour was way better. All the rapids were up front and then you got to chill and enjoy the scenery for the second half of the trip. Highly recommend.

We took our kids aged 6,7,8 and 17 and they had a blast. It was perfect for them, lots of excitement at the beginning and relaxing at the end. The staff and guides were fun, friendly, well organized and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend for a trip that's easy, close to the city and lots of fun for little ones and big ones. Thanks Adrian and (I can't remember the other guides name ????) but you were both awesome and made it a memorable day for my kiddos.
