The interpreter was very professional and very knowledgeable. They were able to create a fluid conversation during the meeting. Thanks to language connections I was able to communicate my many allergies to those who spoke almost no English. This allowed me to go to more local establishments and really get into Japan's culture. The only downfall was that I had to contact them a couple times before receiving a quote for my allergy cards.

We were having a Chinese client come in to work on a video and I contacted Language Connections to see if they could assist in hiring an interpreter as the client spoke very little English. Maria was wonderful to work with, got us set up with an interpreter very quickly and was extremely responsive and accommodating when we needed to change the schedule last minute. Anna, the interpreter was absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond, helping us understand cultural difference and ensure that both parties were happy with how the project was progressing. The classes are not very good. They are not professional teachers. You won't really learn how to interpret. You will be asked to interpret what other students are reading and translating in their heads. It's a mess. You will feel belittled and judged.

Taking classes in Language Connections with the teachers, was a great experience. I took the Medical Interpreter Certificate around the months April-May 2015. I'd received the certificate in May 2015. Feel like the money I'd pay for the certificate was not worth it. After the 60 hr training there is no Internship or volunteer offer. All the jobs that I have apply required a Internship. Basically felt alone after receiving the certificate. No referrals or job training. Jobs now in a medical interpreter field require experience.

Just spoke to their customer service representative who told me they are no longer accepting projects. Mine is a two page translation for consular purposes. Was told to try back maybe in two weeks. I asked if they had a recommendation for another company in the Boston area and the agent began instructing me on how to perform a google search. Poorly managed business. I imagine their website strongly over represents their capability and aptitude.

I am an HR and Compliance Manager at a Technology Company in Peabody, MA and first made contact with Simon and Natalia from Language Connections in the spring of 2019. From the very beginning they were kind, courteous, and really took the time to understand our company needs and offer extremely competitive rates. My translation project was put on hold and I reached out about 4 months later and Simon reacted very quickly and positively despite the lapse in time since our original contact. Having policies translated is always panic inducing, but Simon and the team produced the documents in record time and everyone was very pleased with the quality, and again, the pricing is fantastic. Took Legal Interpreting Training and is was awful. They do not teach you how to interpret, they just want to embarrass you in front of the whole class. Maybe they are professional interpreters but they do not know how to teach. Do not waste time and money on their trainings.

I searched for a company that I felt I could trust to edit technical documents (a series of student work rubrics for use in K-12 classrooms across the United States), and am grateful to have found Simon, Kirill, and the whole team. Not only did their team understand the purpose and common use cases for these rubrics, but they were open to conducting an initial translation, asking current classroom teachers to review and provide feedback on those translations, and then applying that feedback to their final translations. The project was all smoothly conducted over phone and email as well. These translated rubrics will be a huge support to teachers and students in dual language classrooms. I'd recommend Language Connections again any time!

They have a good medical interpreter training program with extremely competent instructors, however, it takes over two weeks for them to send you your certificate of completion once you take the final exam. I would still recommend its training those seeking to be medical interpreters.

I had a terrible experience at language connections to say the least. I took the legal interpreter course and it was an awful experience. From the class coordination, course itself, to the exams. The office coordinator lady very rude, and disrespectful not professional at all. The zoom classes were over the limit 50+ students (in other words was crowded) not leaving enough room for students to participate, express their questions, or concerns. Very poor value and professionalism. Do not recommend it.

Poor quality service and not professional. I contacted language connections to register for an upcoming program they had available but not only the office coordinator took two weeks to get back to me but was also very rude and unprofessional over the phone. After a long wait to be register for the class when the classes started the students did not received a book for the purpose of the training course in fact we were told to print out approximately 165-170 pages to what the office calls to be "The Lecture Book" for the class. Book which it was poorly made, the content was not well express, it was not in order and it did not have a content table. The instructor - student interaction was not the greatest very poor. They had over 40 students on a single zoom class not been able to coordinate and take care of each student properly on a timely manner. The instructor will constantly change subject and not respond to the student questions or concerns. The course was not properly made, they did not offer sufficient time for the training and as for the exams they were not what they said it will be. Awful experience.
