Very helpful counselors who are helping newcomers to settle, find job, and navigate their life in the new environment. Volunteering with Open Door will give you opportunity to meet new people and learn different cultures. It makes you adaptable.

April Cebedo Balagosa

This is the place to go for every newcomer to Saskatoon. They offer settlement and employment services that caters to the need of an immigrant. The best part is, it's FREE

For first contact this place is too busy and staff always seem overworked. One lady at reception is particularly good at not being helpful to any of your needs. The employment assistance unit however has friendly and helpful staff.

Tammy Popova

Very helpful staff, very attentive and polite, nice, clean, a lot information is available. The only thing I don’t like about this place - is parking. The building is located in the busiest part of the city and parking around there not free around office hours. The Service Canada understood that and they moved to a mall, a lot of space and free parking. I wish this organization also could move to places like Preston mall or Confederation (that thing is almost empty for example).

Stevens Michael

Thank you for all of your help!

Md Shorifuzzaman

Robbie Mao

the service is good but there is no wifi in the building

Raj M

Not sure this is best place for guidance for new and qualified immigrants. Be specific of your needs and ensure you lead in what you want achieved. Few qualified counsellors are the gems keeping the place running. Cannot tell the same about neither the organizational drivers nor support structure based on feedbacks received

Rihanna

Good welcome, good classes, translation, copy/print services for immigrants and refugees.

The Sask Adventurer

This is an excellent place for new comers and immigrants to Canada. They assist with settling and finding jobs and other essential things for someone who is new to Canada. They have events and activities that help to get to know the wonderful aspects of beinh a Canadian like a hockey game for example. They are friendly, polite and professional and provide excellent customer service. They host job fairs and concentrate on finding employment for new comers to Canada. They have Education for employment programs and courses. They have also have excellent counselors. They hosted an diversity award gala where they award companies who are leading the way with diversity when it comes to employees. Overall an amazing establishment.

When I asked for translation help, I was directly rejected. I was blocked from the door of the building. She said they were busy, and my difficulties were not in their service. Let me find my friend to solve them. Open door is an agency set up by the government to provide support services for new immigrants, but the staff are not even try to help me. In the end, I received a warm reception and help at GGP. A Lady patiently listened to my needs and promised to help me contact a volunteer who can provide translation support.

Sarah Rezkallah
