Used to really enjoy this great mid-winter music festival until if they started to oversell tickets and have to wait in line for an hour to get into every tent in the evenings. Your ticket price essentially gets you into the park to wait in line-ups. The actual music and service is all fantastic if you can ever get into see anything.

This Festival is a victim to its own success. Do NOT go on a weekend as our annual group of 10 did last last. We've learned to arrive early, so got there at 7 p.m. to get into the Sugar Shack with no line up. After watching the Yves Lambert Trio our group wanted to move on to another tent to see the Tom Petty tribute. We asked the door security if one of us could leave the tent to go see if there was a line up at the Snow Tent because we didn't want to leave the Sugar Shack if there was a line up. The security would not let us go check, so we took the chance and left the Sugar Shack; BIG mistake! There was about 100 people in line to get into the Snow Tent, and the line did not move for 10 minutes. We decided to pack it in and call it a night. $25 each x 10 people for the two hours inside the Sugar Shack to see one band! Terrible experience for everyone and it would be hard to convince anyone to do this again next year. Continued success to the event but we won't be standing in line again next year, that's for sure!

Lots of activities. We tried sliding down a tunnel, maple syrup on a stick, hoop dancing, traditional outdoor competitions, sing along and dancing to traditional music.

Overall its the most iconic festival in Manitoba, however be prepared to wait in lines (Friday-Saturday nights) upwards of 1 hour in the cold. The ticket prices have also increased almost 100% with no real big changes. Don't get me wrong this is a must see, but I recommend a little preparation prior to heading out!

Music, traditions, fun for everyone!

Great place. They usually have free lunchtime concerts during the summer.

Festival du Voyageur is Winnipeg's top Winter festival and a must see for everyone in Winnipeg in February. At the festival park the main building called " La Maison du Bourgois" is open all year for special events. There are over 50 weddings hosted each year in this space and many more meetings and conferences. The Partners room on the second floor can accommodate 50 people for smaller gatherings. There is also a rustic log cabin called "Maison Chaboillez" that is amazing for casual events and picnics in the park. The facility has many cabins that sports a working Blacksmith shop, trading post and carpenter's cabin. During the summer the fort comes alive and is available for tours with interpreters and amazing historical programing. All year round Fort Gibraltar is a great place to visit and will take you back to the fur trade era of 1815.

Hé!Ho! Félicitations au comité organisateur du Festival du Voyageur virtual, 2021. Congratulations to the organizing committee of this year's virtual Festival du Voyageur. My wife and I enjoyed three virtual concerts, pre-recorded and broadcast on Facebook and YouTube. We enjoyed having franco-manitobain, Indigenous and other local and Canadian artists brought right into our family room. I have difficulty with the cold and with slippery places, so I was thrilled to be able to be part of this celebration. The annual Beard Growing, Jigging and Fiddle competitions were held virtually. We especially enjoyed the program of Indigenous Artists from all across Canada.

Wow! This will be our last Festival, the ticket prices are going through the roof with no upgrades or entertainment. 20 years of attending and its almost unaffordable to attend, we give the Festival five more years before it comes to an end. Pity

Drove in from out of town and paid $80 to stand in line for 3 hours and not see any music. Every tent had long lines

The Voyagers would have met at the confluence or near by. This is how the Torch Walk used to be and I will treasure this now extinct event. The Torch Walk is now a marketing tool for the museum of hideous concrete.
