I really love this place. Whenever I go anywhere, I make sure that I stock up in the currency of that country. The Currency Exchange is cheap! I love the staff there. They are very courteous and pleasant. Ashley is my favourite and always brightens my day!

Nothing makes my day more than seeing people enjoy their work and workplace and that's exactly what I experienced at the Oshawa location. I left a message in the morning, reached out via their website and through a maze of connections, the staff did a wonderful manoeuvre to accommodate my (late and uninformed) request and their competing priorities. In the end, I walked away content and it was the smile and positive attitude of Anne who returned my call earlier and took her dinner break later to help me out. Please keep smiling, keep it light and keep positive in your workplace. It's the only thing that really counts at the end of a long day! Thank you.

Love this location, I have been frequenting this location for almost a decade. The staff is always so pleasant it’s so nice to go in and see familiar faces. Jill always manages to squeeze-another one out rounding me up to the nearest bill on my all of my transactions. Will continue to return for years to come.

Went to exchange Bermudian currency at this location; I was given back less than anywhere else would’ve converted the rate. I had asked why and searched online through multiple bank conversions and the conversion was given back higher. The teller stated that this is because the dollar was lower than Canadian? I told her the dollar is on par with USD but she insisted that it’s because the dollar is harder to give away. The teller never stated why we got 200$ less than anywhere else would’ve given; other than because the buyback rate is less. I’ll never convert money from this location again. Save your time and money and don’t trust their “best rates guaranteed” slogan. It’s pure bologna.

“Had a great experience out in Yorkdale today. I needed a couple currencies for my trip to Europe (Euro’s and Swiss Francs), and they had them both on hand. I was relieved because I tried my bank first and they had to order them in which would have taken a few days, and the rate was worse than what Continental gave me. Needless to say I left happy, as I saved myself some time and money! However, next time I would recommend calling ahead regardless. The girl was telling me that sometimes a currency may sell out if it’s a really busy time of the year. Luckily I had time to play with, but if you’re leaving soon, don’t risk it

I have been at this location more than 3 or 4 times and I must say the customer service has been outstanding! On a couple of occasions I was fortunate to have a clerk by the name of Ashley serve me, I cannot explain in words the professional and fast service I received from her, not sure if the get “employee” awards, if so she is very deserving! On another occasion I received help with a “preauthorized” exchange and I had a clerk named Vicky, when my money wasn’t ready, she offered to give me money to purchase a coffee while I waited for the transaction to go through....where do you get that kind of customer service in these times? Especially this time of year! I love going to this location ,never ever I have any problems there . Always on time and very helpful with and repeat no mistake at all always a perfect count on my money whether buying or selling. Pretty sure I am spoiled I always get the same teller which would be VICKY always a fantastic smile positive attitude and by far the greatest personally ever. Don't waste your time with this company if you are getting U.S currency. They never have small bills and give you attitude if you ask for some. Everyone needs small bills for vacation to tip, not sure why they never have more than $10 worth of small bills. Just go to your bank and if you need less than $1000 they have it on hand, more than $1000 and you can order in advance. Plus no service charge so you save a little money.

The worst service ever, I called them couple of times in advance to make sure they can do currency transfer and wire some money, I gave them all the details, after I've been standing there for one hour, they gave me some reason that they can't do the service for me which was completely different from what they assured me twice on the phone

I have found that Continental Currency Exchange has the best rates available for my currency exchange needs whether its $US or other worldwide currencies! I usually deal with Jill at the branch in the Oshawa Centre and have for many years now. Jill has always been very helpful and professional in answering any questions I have had and has always made the currency exchange process a pleasure! As well the whole staff truly provide great customer service and I definitely think they deserve a 5 Star rating!

The ladies at this place are the best! I went to get some money exchanged for my trip but wasn’t sure on what denominations I would need and how much I would likely need... They printed me off a sheet to take with me so I could remember how much my money is worth down there!! I am very impressed by the knowledgeable staff at this location. I have never bought currency for vacation before and was in shock when I found out that I didn’t have to order my Hong Kong, veatimese, Chinese and Thailand currency and was able to get it on the spot, this is after going to the bank and having continental currency exchange highly recommended from my bank. Great fair prices converting CAD to many other international currencies. Friendly staff, many currencies to choose from. With availability during mall open hours, it's always nice to get some last minute shopping in before a trip. The store is handicap accessible. Low wait times, quick service!

I went to this location and had horrible service from Jill. I will never come back to this location again. Horrible customer service by Jill she was rude, interrupted me multiple times when I tried to complete my request and ripped me off after providing me a rate she gave me less than I was suppose to get and was extremely passive aggressive when I confronted her about it. I called head office re my complaint and still no call back. You've lost my business for life!

This is the only place you need to go to when looking for currency, better rates then the banks and the people are friendly and great to deal with. We always go to the Oshawa location before we travel, We have never had a problem with them, This last visit I dealt with Vicky she always has a smile on her face and is happy to help you , thanks Vicky keep up the good work and I will be back soon for more Pesos.

Great place to go if you need euros, dollars, yen, etc. BUT don't bother if they say you need to order it. I was charged 17 percent for Moroccan dirhams, 15 percent for Pakistani rupees, and 13 percent for Tunisian dinars! I checked the rates on the phone just before all of these transactions and I was blown away! Also, there are more examples, like Bulgarian lev and Kuwaiti dinars! Plus, even though the central banks of euro area countries take most of them, they wouldn't take my still redeemable pre euro currency!

There’s less than zero point trying to reach any staff at this location by phone. We submitted an online order for currency and were told by a seemingly intoxicated staff that it was slower to order in advance; because ‘it comes in an envelope’; which apparently is reason enough to take nearly a week. Additionally when we mentioned that it took half an hour for anyone to pick up the phone, she practically yelled ‘We been so busy here!’, rather than apologizing as per normal customer service standards. Certainly we do not recommend this service and wish the staff good luck at kicking whatever substance abuse and communication/courtesy issues they seem to have.

I would like the public to know that to be careful and to meticulously check the official receipt of the transaction when dealing with the teller named PRAMELLA. She will sweet talked you and distract you during the transaction without knowing that you didn’t get the privileged client rate even if you gave her the card. When I checked my receipt, the note “Privilege Client Rate Applied” was not on the receipt and when asked she just rudely said she didn’t punch-in the number for there is a long line-up. To the manager of this branch, this person is NOT following establish process in execution of her job. In simple term, she’s short-cutting the whole process that could possibly affect the integrity, goodname and credibility of your company. You better do something for this unacceptable behavior of one of your employee towards your customers. Hope this review will serve as what to expect when dealing with this teller named PRAMELLA.

I live in Whitby and I always go to this place and I always use my husband VIP card even if I forget the card they would just ask for my phone number. This time I was told that I can not use my husbands card and I need to get my own!!!! I told Rose that we live at the same address and have same phone number!!!! I was shocked. I suppose each employee has a quota to issue so many cards per shift etc. I end up holding the line up behind further and not getting the right rate I was expecting.

No commission and better rates than my bank. Was going to Mexico, and they had pesos on hand so I didn’t have to wait. Tossed in a currency converter for free and gave me a good mix of bills. I was travelling with friends, and it would have been nice if we all knew about the group discount.

Girl at counter was rude and told me that they close at 8. I was standing in line along with another customer who she gladly helped. It was only after I made a comment that she unwilling said she'd serve me well shaking her head. I ended up walking as I'd prefer to do business with someone that actually wants my business. I'd suggest hiring people with better customer service skills.

Best foreign exchange rates in the GTA. Compared them to the banks and local competitors and they always came out on top. Haven’t used anyone else in the past few years. 10/10 would definitely recommend. Below is what I have come to find from using them: Pros: - Really good exchange rates - Convenient location - Quick service - Have currency on hand - No commission - Options for Preorders and prepay - Discounts for seniors, military, vets, doctors, etc. Cons: - Certain denominations not always available - Some staff more efficient and nicer than others - Busy around holidays - Vip card discount easy to forget - Mall traffic

I popped by the branch today to find out more information about your new "one card" My daughter is traveling over seas for university this up coming fall and cant believe this product, I was thinking of sending wires to her after she opens up a bank account but this saves that as well as no wire fees (as I'm sure she will need money frequently while shes attending university.). Great place to exchange money. Had an amazing experience Friday night. Anne was so nice, friendly and proved excellent customer service. Despite being under staffed she still managed to have a smile on her face and didn't rush me even though there was a long line behind me. Great job Anne and thank you very much!!

They wouldn't accept an American $20 bill because the top edge of the bill was "frayed". Hold it up to another bill, and, it is two millimeters smaller at one corner, from wear. "I can't sell that". Sell it? It is a currency exchange, not a pawn shop. You think someone is going to even notice that in a wad of bills? Or a walmart in Buffalo is going to nickel and dime someone if they want to pay with it? "It says $20, buuuut the best I can do is $18.50 because its not in mint condition." My advice if you go to this place is: Make sure you have your money cleaned, pressed, and, individually framed for them. They won't take it unless it is in mint condition.

I expected to walk in and get my money on the spot when I went to Continental the other day. But a very lovely girl named Ashley recommended placing an order for my two currencies and gave me the ability to choose the bills I preferred. She could have just sold me currency on the spot but she really took my needs into consideration. All this on top of training a new staff made me so appreciative of the time she took to assist me. Very pleasant experience thanks to Ashley at Oshawa Continental.
