AMAZing!!! Always fresh, baked goods. So much selection. Cheese buns are so delicious, their cheese bread is really good, they have hot cross buns they have a chocolate chip version for Easter. They have many versions of scones including cinnamon, raspberry, raisin, so delicious. I can't speak enough about the quality and freshness of their products. Seriously the best bakery! Extremely friendly staff, willing to put baked goods aside even and very knowledgeable about the products that they sell. For example, their cheese buns each one has the exact amount of cheese in each one. Definitely on my route home as I crave their cheese buns regularly. (Oak Bay location)

delicious sour dough bread , I liked the vienna type , it's worth coming early in the morning to get the fresh stuff. One gets a reward card and after buying 14 loaves - you get a sandwitch loaf

Tony Duke

Nice selection of breads and pastries. Like their cape seed loaf and Turkish bread. Only downside is some stuff e.g. pumpernickel is only available from a few stores but they will put it aside.also contribute significantly to food banks etc.

For so many years i've been a faithful customer of this delicious Bread and always have a great customer service, but today i decided to go to this location and it was a . .. Bad experience at this place. This asian lady ask me to pay with debit card and i told her i was over my limit, then ask me to my money over a napking and stay away behind one freaking line. Awful experience. Never coming back to this location.

Cobs can do what every grocery store in town can't. After eating Cobs it's impossible to think of eating the garbage our local grocery stores call bread. Also the staff seem genuinely happy to work at Cobs.

Overpriced. They do better bread at Fairway for half the price!

Staff are generally very friendly and all wear masks. The bread selection is excellent, and the bread is always fresh and tasty. It is also possible to call ahead fo time to confirm if there is some bread that you want to buy, and it is possible to order ahead of time to have some put away. Overall, the food and service is great!

Tom Miller

Friendly staff, quality baked goods, but big demerit for not having the capability to warm up pastries for customers...

Of course the bread is always great but this particular branch of COBS has some of the friendliest staff. I’ve noticed how patient and helpful they are even after having worked near an oven for hours in the heat of hot summer days.

From my experience, this local bakery is increasingly becoming hostile and racist. The most recent example (I've been ignoring other ones) is when I walked in there last two weeks around 8 am to buy a loaf of bread as I've been doing for some time. I said good morning to the only salesperson there who was understandably busy arranging stuffs on a shelf but apparently, they didn't hear me until I greeted the second time and then they turned in my direction and responded. Before I could say any other word, the next thing I heard was "I can't slice cinnamon bread for you, it's still hot". The animus with which they said it and their unfriendly countenance were crystal clear. I had not said any other word after "good morning". I hadn't said what type of bread I wanted and, honestly, it wasn't cinnamon bread that I had come to buy. I doubt if they could have related to a white guy in a similar way. I didn't do anything wrong by supporting a local business. I don't need to look like the majority in a place before I can feel safe to buy a loaf of bread. When we're serving the public, we need to shed the racial prejudice, animus, and biases that becloud our minds.

Great bread, good customer service and quality never changes. Reliable spot to stop and get a treat, something for the office table or bread for home. Excellent buns

Rich Bloomfield

Amazing bread all the time every time

Katrina Campbell

Sasha

Friendly staff and delicious bread and scones!

Heather Lanigan

Locally owned franchise. Delicious, fresh, scratched baked baking and everything at the end of the day is donated to charity! Some locations can't warm things on demand due to not having microwaves (everything is made from scratch in industrial ovens!) and only bakers are trained to use these ovens, but everything is delicious

Lovely staff, awesome bread.

Service is always friendly but it’s been twice now that I’ve bought danishes here that are clearly stale/day-old. I’m not one for waste but if your products are not fresh they should be advertised as such and priced accordingly.

corban scholz

I bought a cinnamon bun here today, and the wax paper it came in was baked/melted into the bottom and I couldn’t eat it. Not to mention the bun was like a hockey puck, definitely at least a day old. Very disappointing.

Robin Ellis

Best bread ever. This location in oak Bay is super busy so get there early before they run out. Love the olive bread. Cheese pull apart is kids favorite

Lorne Sivertson

I did provide a review on January 4, 2016 that was not favourable. It evidently was removed by Cobs.

Sammie Vanner

Always great, staff usually really friendly :)
