Went to check out the stars and wow, does it get dark or what?? At one point I was scared to get outta my car for fear of what was out there in the pitch black. Stars were in full display and it was relatively early still, 9:30pm-10pm. There are two areas to park, a small one at the entrance and a huge one around the bend beside the boat launch area. Was my first time here so I was unsure of the best place to view the stars so I decided to pack it up for the night and check it out in the daytime. Amazing view across the water to our U.S neighbors and the snow topped mountains. A bit cold today but can imagine a summer or spring day here. Definitely coming back for the stars but also some picture taking during the day.

Cute little seaside park with walking paths, benches, parking and a boat launch. Keep an eye out for dogs being walked off-leash and wild deer. It was an enjoyable stop. The park is too small to spend much time there.

Awesome view, 360 around Victoria, you'll be able to see Washington and Vancouver as well as Salt Springs Island, a very easy hike to the top, no.more than 50m walk, there is a bench also and plenty of parking spots

So I went to check out the star park (for me…..how dark is it at night?). Fair bit of sky glow, but probably better than most areas. Car headlights can be a bit of an issue. Just had my iphone12 with me and snapped a pic of Orion. Can’t wait to go back with better equipment (and a clear sky)!

I came here looking for cattle. Nope. No cattle here. BUT....while I didn’t find any cattle...I DID find this most magical place on the edge of the ocean!!! I have also been told they unloaded cattle here many moons ago.

One of the best places in town to gain perspective and let go of the day. I always feel rejuvenated after walking here. Plus the dog loves running along the meadows and rocks. It’s not a long walk but it can be extended by wandering through the surrounding residential area of incredible homes (mansions?).

Beautiful ocean front park area with large rocks to climb and a trail along the ocean. Has some picnic tables and benches, lots of logs to relax on and watch the sailboats. Amazing views of snow capped mountains from here on a clear day.

Windy pretty much year round, bring a coat for the winter for sure, even on nice sunny days. Rocks are a great place for the kids to play on, plenty of puddles to splash in. I believe cattle point is dog friendly, at least I bring him and i haven't seen any signs or fingerwaggers so it must be dog friendly.
