I went to the spa at Oak Bay Beach hotel earlier this week. I had a massage and my daughter and I sat by the pool and had delicious mojitos. And although the massage was absolutely wonderful I can't say enough about the spa manager! He was very helpful, gracious, friendly and generous. I would definitely recommend this spa if you live in Victoria or if you're visiting.

Wonderful location, very nice amenities. I went for a massage and it was very good and professional. The masseuse was experienced, skilled, and very friendly. The setting is peaceful and beautiful. We used the steam room, hot tub and pool afterwards and it was great, so relaxing! The spa/pools area has a 16+ age restriction which we really appreciated as there were no kids playing and making noise so it was very relaxing. I know that doesn't work well for young families, but it was great for us! Would highly recommend this for a relaxing spa experience. A bit pricier than some other hotel spas in town but worth every penny for us!

Along with the other reviews, this was by far my best spa experience. The "relaxation" area has seating for four while there were 8 people stuffed in there and very disruptive. The staff seemed to care less about my experience and didn't ask how it went or anything. I had a 9 am appointment and had to wait outside in the freezing cold for them to unlock the door. Good thing I didn't arrive at the recommended 30 minutes prior! No apology or anything. You guys can do better.

I had a great time at the Boathouse Spa. Michaela was my first point of contact, and found an appointment time that worked with my schedule. I had the Pink Lotus Anti-Aging Body Ritual, and Stephanie was my aesthetician. She was very professional, and I really enjoyed my treatment. My skin felt great afterwards. The steam room and mineral pools are a must - but BEFORE the body treatment, and not after! Thank you, I hope to be back soon!

Boathouse Spa, so disappointed in your business practices. I'm not sure where the problem stems from but the integrity of this spa and it's manager is way below the standards of any business let alone a reputable one. The industry in Victoria is tight so when confronted with a complaint, instead of arguing back to the customer and accusations of lying maybe think about the repercussions. I understand the need to defend your spa and staff but keeping an open mind and ears that the customer just may be right would be the right way to handle this particular situation. With any complaint, it should be looked into and addressed professionally not defensively. I am very certain, with my claims and wouldn't make such accusations if I had any doubts. And due to the lack of proper communication with the staff and manager I will not hold back with what I have experienced.

Booking staff removed one of my friends from our group of 6 booking and I was not notified of the changes.This was to be a relaxing Mother's Day spa day that I booked 2 months in advance to coincide with my friend's chemotherapy schedule. My friend phoned me in tears from the entrance of the spa. She was not permitted to enter because her appointment had been deleted and she was replaced with another friend who was not part of our group. She was upset, I was upset and then we had to argue and plead with staff to right the situation. My blood pressure did not recover from that confrontation and although she was given a guest pass, we were supposed to have pedicures together and I had to leave her alone at the pool for an hour to have my pedicure with 2 strangers. I would have given our experience a 5/5 if our booking had not been changed without my knowledge and if I could have enjoyed my pedicure with my friend. Very disappointed in the service. The situation should have been remedied without 15 minutes of arguing over whose fault it was (clearly not mine since I made the booking and was not aware that my friend was removed from our group!)

Beautiful spot. The pools are amazing- warm and with beautiful views, especially if it is raining a bit. The lounge area (inside) is very small. If you want to lounge more, I suggest coming in the summer. Our pedicures were great and the room had a wonderful view of the pools.

I took my daughter to this spa on Mar.27, 2021 and I was very disappointed in many things. I don’t usually complain but it was a big ticket day! I expected better. First of all it’s a very small reception, hardly any room to move and the people did not do a very good job of greeting us, no warm and fuzzy feeling. The pedicure room and staff were very professional, that part was good, but my gel nail polish pealed off within 2 weeks, not my experience with gel polish at all! We had to pay extra to spend an hour at the very crowded pool! That was very disappointing.usually the facilities are included with a treatment at most of the delux spas we go to. Especially during COVID. People were well separated on the pool deck but we couldn’t get into the very small change rooms to get dressed because we had to wait for so many other people to get dressed. It’s the most money I have spent for 2 pedicures in my life, I think it could have been a more special experience.

I had my bridal party and some friends come along for a spa day. Our first moment walking through the door, the staff barely acknowledged my mother and I. They also were so gracious to allow my mom and best friend to spend 54.00 just to wade around in the mineral pool while some other friends and myself got treatments. Along with this charge (which was indicated as 35 dollars on the website) was the reminder that they were doing us some big favor because they usually don't allow people to come and utilize the pool during july and aug. Fair enough, but both my mother and my friend complained of feeling like second class individuals who were pretty much ignored by all staff members. During this time, there was about 15 minutes of rain which then prompted the spa shutting down the drinks and the food which was most of the appeal. At no point did they offer a last call, nor give any of us an alternative option for ordering food down to the spa. It was absolutely ridiculous, we asked multiple staff members because two of the people at the spa were there to drink, eat, and wade in the pool/hot tub. Not only was the service sub par, I felt confused where to go in the spa, and was lucky to get the simple staples of a robe and a shared locker. I spent hundreds of dollars in this spa, I was treaty so poorly, nobody seemed t know what was going on, and the treatments were late. Although my massage was nice, my pedicure was terrible, the woman filing my nails literally cut me with the nail file on multiple toes because she wasn't paying attention to me. The following day, I could barely wear my shoes my toes hurt so bad. I will NEVER waste another cent in this place.

My better half and I try to stop by this spa every month or so. We wouldn't even consider going elsewhere. We typically just do the day spa to enjoy the pools/hot tubs and steam room. Both masseuses I've had were excellent and I can be picky. It is the outdoor pools that we adore. The scenic view is breath-taking and is ideal for relaxing and unwinding. I love that they use minerals as opposed to chlorine and the varying temperatures in each pool provides options. The staff have always been smiling and friendly to us. We now make sure to bring our visitors to share in this magical place.

As much as I want to like this spa (I've gone now about 3 times and tried different treatments each time), it's terrible. The customer service when booking appointments is minimal. When you call to book, it is difficult to get through to the spa on the phone, as they often just don't answer. When I do, it seems like a hassle for them to book you in for a treatment. They're dismissive and unhelpful. The facial I had was not relaxing at all. She didn't seem well trained, and the massage I received with my facial left me with a sore neck for more than a week. The pedicures are just okay. Again, for the price point at this spa, you'd absolutely expect more bang for your buck. You do have access to the pool, which is great, but I don't think it justifies the cost of the spa when the overall experience there is very disappointing. There are a lot of high end spas in Victoria that are worth the price, but this is not one of them.

I have been there a year ago and the service was good, beautiful place. This morning, I tried to book a service and the staff on the phone kept confusing the treatment. She seems so distracted. Finally, when I was able to book, I realized she was booking me on the wrong date. I was glad I checked...I just gave up.

Nice facilities although the $30pp to use the hot tub/ pool feels like a cash grab as an add on for the spa. Excellent massage with Devon today! Lunch by the pool was tasty and a nice enhancement to our spa visit. Hope to see you next month

My fiance and I booked in pedicures on a summer day hoping to take advantage of the outdoor bath pools as part of our experience. When booking we leanred you have to spend a min of $100 per person to be able to use the baths, I thought this was unreasonable since not all treatments are $100 and it costs them nothing to use the pools. The atmosphere was nice and the staff were great. However, we could not get a pool chair to sit in. For a hotel that size they only had 14 pool chairs. People were sitting in the cement and on rocks. Not reasonable for how pricey this place is. Spa was cramped and hot and stuffy inside. My locker was on the bottom level and I had to practically get on my hands and knees to get in it. My clothes got wrinkled because they aren't big enough to hang anything. The shower faucet was broken. Stunning views, good but expensove drinks ($14). Food was good. Not sure it was worth $280 for 2 pedicures a bowl of chips and 2 drinks.
