I met Abigail in 2017 or 2018. At the time I was working as an Interpreter Coordinator with the Ministry of Attorney General, Court Services Division. My job was to schedule Ministry accredited Interpreters for court assignments. From the start, Abigail, our Ministry's fully accredited Korean Interpreter, amongst coordinators was considered one of the best Interpreters we had. 1. Punctual, always on time and prepared 2. Professional, the quality of work provided was nothing less of that. 3. Flexible and ready to accommodate last minute and consistent change in schedules.
This past year I got married. My Husband's family is from South Korea and did not speak a word of english. I knew from the moment I got engaged that I would need Abigail's services. This time, personally and outside of a work setting. Over the years we have formed a friendship and I was over joyed when she agree to interpret so that my husband's family could understand our ceremony.
It's one thing to schedule Abigal for court assignments, it's an entire different thing to see her in action. She entered the house where we had our ceremony as my friend but the moment the ceremony began, it was like a switch flipped and she was Miss. Abigail Choo, Ministry Accredited Korean Interpreter. I could not believe how professional she was. She did simultaneous Interpretation while the Justice of the Peace performed our ceremony. Their flow was so good and felt so rehearsed, even though they just met 15 mins prior to the ceremony. I remember thinking, i can't believe I know this person. She's so amazing at her job.
Abigail is the kind of person that always give 200% efforts in everything she does. This goes for professionally and personally. I would 1000% recomment Abigail for anyone who needs any kind of help with interpretation work.
