I have just completed my new employee process. All I have is positive experiences, outstanding customer services and positive feedback from everyone I have spoken to so far. Good test and nicely methodologicaly designed to achieve quality in the new interpreters. Mr Harry, Ms Elizabeth, and the examination team all very professional and flexible with scheduling tests. I cannot say enough good things about working for CLI. I have now worked here for over 11 years, so that says something right there. CLI truly cares for their employees. It's like a big family! We have awesome benefits, an uplifting work environment and amazing coworkers. I love what we do. It's great coming to work knowing that we help people 24/7. Communication is key in life! And without CLI, some of us wouldn’t be able to communicate in very important settings.

Sahra Libré

Most professional Language company thus far. well trained staff and are well informed of languages and regions unlike the "known" companies. I worked with other companies but never ran into any issues with CLI.

Lowell Alik

Reliable and professional people!

I cannot say enough about the pleasures of working for CLI. The potential for growth is endless, their attention to providing a better work place is promising, and the energy they put towards making sure EVERYONE is heard. Whether that be our clients, our clients clients, interpreters, and employees is reassuring. I'm 100% for this company and I highly recommend them!

CLI is a great company to work with for remote interpreting services because you can always get a live operator on the line. Calls are always answered within a couple of seconds and 9 times out of 10 the interpreter is on the line in less than a minute, regardless of the language. Definitely recommend!

Certified Languages International can connect you with some of the most professional interpreters in the country in a matter of seconds. It has service in hundreds of languages. Its employees are very responsive. And you can call in over the phone or use an ipad or computer to access video interpreters. CLI offers translation services, too. Definitely one of the best companies if you're looking for help communicating with customers who speak other languages.

One of the things I love most about working at CLI is its diverse workforce and company culture that encourages innovation and creative approaches to services/work flow. I really appreciate that everyone who works here is truly invested in the quality of what we do. I think this is in part because the language service industry is so fascinating, and in large part because our work has such a positive impact on non-English speaking people who directly benefit from interpreting services. My co-workers’ dedication and enthusiasm makes CLI a really rewarding company to work for, which I see reflected in the long-term customer relationships we cultivate.

Experienced interpreters beware!! Quality Assurance department in this company is a real mess. They will pick on you for minutia, never give you a word of acknowledgement, and never increase your rate. No matter how good a job you are doing for them, Q A department will treat you as a low ranking individual, not as a professional interpreter. Stay away.

Michael Romano

Strange company. Very disorganized and confused. I attempted to secure an interpreter with them for professional translation services, and they didn't seem to know how to handle that rather basic request.

Bl Hayes

Awesome place to work.

My heart grows more fond of CLI with each passing year. It is a fabulous place to work with excellent benefits, and absolutely the best team you could ask for. They are supportive, hard working, professional and caring. I highly recommend this company.

Kristine Stapleton

Attempted to get a quote for services by leaving 2 voicemails and submitting an online request. Could not even get a call back from these people to set up service. I can only imaging how bad the service would be if I used them. VERY UNRESPONSIVE.

Letter to CLI Part III Starting the business of stealing interpreters´s wages could be CLI's slippery slot. Things can get worse and people that lost everything have nothing to lose. It is very sad that if a scandal reaches CLI and a lot businesses are lost, there will be people that did not do anything wrong that will be affected as well. Just send those checks and make those direct deposits, cancel those accounts and learn from the experience. Fix your shortcomings and become better at what you do, but do not steal, I do not think that is what America stands for. Do not have somebody else pay and suffer for someone else's mistake. These kids and families that are left at there own mercy do not deserve this. Stealing will not make CLI a greater company, be smarter than a first grader, because you are being so smart now, that you have included people that are not involved in any of this, and you know so much that you are still struggling to know which one´s are still rerouting calls, something that you have not be able to do well enough byyourself. You could be as weak as your weakest link, you have so many things still not well covered. You guys knew from long before that all of this was happening and turned a blind eye to it, do not pretend!!!, your clients should know this as well. There are people that opened their own CLI accounts and made the mistake of breaking the rules and went back to their home countries to take calls offshore. Your contract talks about this unaccepted behavior and the penalties are immediate termination of the contract, but it never states you were going to withhold wages, for a job that was completed and keep the money that was already paid by your clients. You are acting at the lowest level, becoming as criminal as any other. If a case of stolen identity might exist it does not represent the majority of the agents that willingly rerouted the calls. Some people were helped with the assessment by somebody else more experienced and from time to time they allowed another interpreter to assist with the calls, which is the greatest unethical behavior that deserves immediate termination of the contract but never the theft of thousands of dollars. It is like if you were trying to get any possible excuse to engage in the mentioned criminal act. You might soon hear from labor and industries.(even illegals or undocumented people have the right to be payed for their labor) Thank you..

I worked with CLI for almost two years as both OPI and VRI interpreter, it have been great experiance working with them, until yesterday I got a weird offensive email from some one called H.Hyun, telling me that I miss too many calls attaching unrealistic statistics and threatening to terminate my contract. I don't know if that guy is aware of the meaning of Independant Contractor, but I gave him a call and it was unpleasant and at the end I told him to go a head and terminate my contract. While I find it weird for some one in the recruiting team to do the job of an HR, I still believe the company is great, but some times some odd people manage to slip through the cracks.

Greatest for Employment

Moez M.

I have worked for this company for about 6 months , I was promissed a raise after a three month assessment period , six months later found my self working more than expected , i was logged in almost 24/7 when i leave the office ,they send emails asking me to log in. The worse part of all is the unexpected phone calls in the middle of the night , my 9 month old baby girl cant sleep because of these calls , she wakes up frightened. I end up losing it when they called me 6 am while i was in bed with my wife and daughter , spend all day in bad mood and finally left them. I enjoy working for local offices and getting paid hourly , mileage and travel time.

I worked with CLI as an OPI contractor for almost 10 years never getting a raise, which I was ok with because I understand the nature of the business as it stands. After almost 10 years I had to terminate the contract because I needed the stability of W2 employment as a video interpreter, which I did for approximately 2 years with another company. When I came back trying to contract again with CLI after 2 years of being away, they were offering 10 cents less than the rate I received for almost 10 years as their contractor previously. Somehow, to them my value as an interpreter lowered instead of maintaining or increasing even though I actually acquired a new skill in the 2 years that I was not contracting with him.

Super rude over the telephone! Avoid!

Dominique Sherter

I am a remote interpreter and have only had good experiences in my interactions, and have had no complaints brought to me by management in over a years' time. All managers and operators have been polite, professional and friendly. Payment always on time.

Kateline Smith

Amazing co-workers and a company that truely cares about emoloyees and clients.

So rude!! Never ever ever!!!

Shirley Xu

Former Employee Avoid working at CLI! Supervisors yell at workers all the time , no people skills at all ! No help from the staff when you are on a call ,either they are gossiping or on their phones . It is like high school all over again , if you aren’t in a click you do not move up in the company nor you are listened to when a problem arises .Management is a big problem period ! Unfair treatment over all .
