Brickspo my dudes!

Mediocre service, mediocre food.

Fun thing to do to get out the house while visiting.

Interesting and informative museum, full of wonderful displays. Something for all ages to enjoy. Very friendly staff.

Spent the whole day and could have stayed longer. So much more than I expected.

Something new everytime I go. So much to see and all the history you can soak up

Amazing staff, great exhibit and very accommodating!

Great Easter egg hunt

very interesting I enjoyed it

Was a cool visit! A lot of military airplanes.. Including a Snowbirds exhibit. Old '50s cars. An awesome train exhibit!! A good place to explore history!

We went to the Lego Brickspo. Well worth going to! We will I've returning to concentrate more on the museum exhibits soon.

Really nice displays. Well done.

Always love visiting WDM

Amazing collection of planes and aviation history that I didnt expect. Along with one exhibit that has personal family ties that has not been seen in 30 years

Great little museum, however, requires more hands on activities and displays for little kids.

Great museum!

A great way to go back in time. The entry fee for a family was reasonable too.

Lots to see, amazing displays and if your looking to get your 10,000 steps in.... this is the place. A lot of work and thought has gone into this automotive museum.

They have a great steam engine train which is wonderful for kids to ride. Would recommend if you kids love trains

It was wonderful! The a children loved it too!

GREAT place, was a fun afternoon and has lot's of interesting things to see!!

Interesting!

Interesting

Wonderful museum about transportation in Saskatchewan. Nicely laid out displays. I really enjoyed wandering through the train cars!

Would have really liked to have gone to this as the website states open 0900-1700 Monday to Sunday. They are only open Tuesday to Sunday. Fix the website!

Very Nice place for car lovers, history lovers.highly recommended.

Great Visit! Loved the presentation and everyone was so friendly!

Great museum. Vintage cars, boats, planes, wagons and more. Snowbirds exhibit is very cool. Recommend. A hidden gem in Moose Jaw for sure.

So many amazing vehicles in one building! Thanks! My kids loved it!

Didn't get to enjoy it yet

Great place for families

Great exhibits that are a lot of fun for all ages. The kids were hesitant about going to a "museum" but had a blast and thought it was really cool to see everything up close. Western Development museums are great and this one is near the top of the list.

The staff are very nice and there is quite a bit of history there. Learned a lot and got to see a lot of vehicles, trains, and even an iron lung. I will most definitely revisit.

Great displays of transportation through the decades

Great place to learn.

Excellent collection of various types of transportation and a short history of Saskatchewan.

Awesome place to take the kids and lots of interesting memorabilia for adults too!

Lots of fun, so much to see. If you're a history buff give yourself lots of time

Good, but the small slide is a death trap outside of the museum.

Good family fun.

Was a fantastic learning experience. Great to see growth and completion of refinishing and refurbishment of great Memorial aircraft and trains cars etc.. highly recommended.

First time here for all of us. Bit hard for the kids (as places like this are), but they do their best to to keep them entertained. Would go back next time we're in Moosejaw.

It was really fascinating, maybe it was just me but the flow of galleries didn't really make sense. I would definitely recommend checking it out

I would legitimately give this place zero stars if I could. I've been to all the WDM brands in Saskatchewan except for this location so I decided to drop this off the bucket list with my daughters. I wasn't allowed entry unless I surrendered my diaper bag with 2 toddlers. The other WDM locations, no worries you have children keep it. This one, that's pure pettiness. I hate writing bad reviews but this place deserves it.

Staff were very friendly, I had such a good time there, prices were reasonable, had lots of fun!

If you like cars and trains, this is the museum for you. It teaches the history of transportation in Saskatchewan.

Nice and quiet

Is the best touring alone

Husband loved it planes, trains and air-conditioning

Quite a large amount if history in that place. My doctorates were the classic cars and the trains.

It is good to look at Saskatchewan history...

Nice

Well worth a visit. The time line wall map is most interesting.

Amazing collection of planes, cars, trains and boats.

Unexpected big museum

A must visit place. You will find various stages of the development almost in everything from cycle to an aeroplane. Motercycle to train. Typewriter to computer and various other things.

It's all about the history of transportation from cars, trucks, buses, boats, trains and planes. Also old radios, including ham radios, and even a telegraph. For $10 for adults it's a steal.

Excellent day out

Very informative. Educational

Fantastic way to spend the day. One of the best museums I've been to.

My son loves this place. It has all his favorite things-planes, trains, and cool cars

So much to see awesome job WDM

Very large museum with a surprising amount to see. Trains, boats, cars, and even airplanes inside!

Always great

Impressively massive building with hundreds of beautifully preserved and displayed vehicles from all eras. Be it land, air, snow, water, or rail, they have a wide collection of locomotive history to suit your interests. They also have Saskatchewan's only operating steam locomotive, which is great fun to ride. +rep the gift shop isn't gougingly expensive!

I love this place, especially in the winter months. What better way to see the history of Saskatchewan but in a vast, warm building, filled with unique displays. And it’s great for all ages too. Plenty of parking, easy to find and you can easily spend hours looking at everything. I highly recommend a visit.

A great place to bring curious children and adults alike. We've been several times and it's never boring. The short line steam engine is also fun for the whole family. Definitely recommend!

It was a very good place to see historical things there including planes, rail and vehicles. My children really loved this place.

Nice place .. Collection of old cars and some flights....

A great place to spend family time. Our kids enjoyed going for a ride on the short line steam locomotive. There are a lot of exhibits to look at, and a lot to learn if your kids will let you take a moment to read..... ????

Lots of different vehicles, boats, and trains, with some good local history as well. Kids really enjoyed it, especially the outdoor train ride.

I am a huge fan of WDM and this location doesn't disappoint. From the remarkable plane display to the trains, it just has a way of bringing you back to the way things came to be. And the staff is absolutely amazing, friendly and helpful with any questions you have.

The train ride was great! Always interesting!

Good stuff.

(Translated) The exhibits are rich and the information is detailed. But the layout and lighting have yet to be improved. (Original) 展品丰富、资料详实。但布局和灯光还有待提高。

The Western Development Museum is a network of four museums in Saskatchewan, Canada preserving and recording the social and economic development of the province. The museum has branches in Moose Jaw, North Battleford, Saskatoon and Yorkton. Respectively, each branch focuses on a different theme: transportation, agriculture, economy, and people. We visited the museum in Moose Jaw. The theme is how industrial development took place through "Transportation". The museum has five galleries; Classic cars, Aircraft, Railway, Canadian Snowbirds, and History of Saskatchewan. An amazing place with a very cheap ticket worth visiting with friends and family.

Very interesting, awesome place to wander about!

The museum has educational exhibits on Saskatchewan's history, and a very interesting timeline showing the major events happening throughout the provinces history. They also have a large collection of antique vehicles, including but not limited to an original Ford model T and fighter planes used in WW1.

Fantastic museum

Great place for my 3 year old nephew

Amazing place to take the kids.

Amazing! My son was engaged with each exhibit, asking questions and trying to piece together how everything worked. He loved everything there and I loved seeing him so happy and interested.

Huge place full of amazing historical artefacts - airplanes, float-planes, automobiles, motorcycles, snowmobiles, and a couple of huge locomotives. There's even a Snowbirds exhibit with an authentic Snowbird - Canadair CT-114 Tutor. Well worth the price admission and an afternoon.

Great museum with fantastic display examples of vehicles and aircraft.

Great place for families. A membership gets you into all WDMs in the province. We go regularly, and always discover something new.

Top museum. Lots of well preserved vehicle exhibits spanning more than a century of development across Western Canada. Snapshots in time. Worth a visit or two if vintage vehicles of all types are your thing. Great staff, too, so a well rounded experience.

Wait time

Most interesting. Variety. Excellently done specials on Saskatchewan including multimedia. Well done.

Great place. A lot of wasted space.

It was amazing I really enjoy going to museums. They had a map to follow so everyone goes the same direction so you are able to keep the 6ft distance.

We went there for the very first time. It was a great experience, my son enjoyed a lot. The place is clean and well sanitized; the staff is awesome. The lady at the front was so nice and polite. Thanks for the experience. A Saturday well spent.

So much to see!

It's a big moose

This is a transportation museum; very nice! Cars, planes, boats, trains; huge display!

Very cool and interesting place

I have always enjoyed WDMs in Saskatoon. The interactive displays were excellent and kept my children captivated and engaged.

Bunch of old junk. What's not to love?!

Great experience. Lot's of learning for kids. Summer trip when steam engine is running is recommended.

Such a beautiful Museum

(Translated) The story told through ancient things (Original) La historia contada a través de las cosas antigua

He had a wonderful time enjoyed all the exhibits the staff was extremely friendly and informative

Be prepared to stay there for at least 3 hours. Lots to read and see. Staff was very attentive. Very clean bathrooms.

Good place with cool exhibits. With entry fee you also get 25% discount at some other museums for 30 days.

Lots of transportation displays. A very large airplane and vehicle display. They had a trailer built by an man from Manchester, England in the early 1900's. Also an interesting horse invention. A great stop!

WDM's are some of my favorite places to visit. Always nice to see little tidbits of the past. Kids loved all the planes at this one.

Lots of planes and vintage cars here

Loved it.

Great museum to learn about history. Clean and spacious location.

Great museum for kids and adults

A large collection of (mainly) unique vehicles from Saskatchewan. I go back once-twice a year with my Son. They have special events that worth to visit as well.

Always a fun time!

IT'S very good

very well put together museum. could spend whole day here. an onsite restaurant would be nice. would go again

Happened in on a day where they had the local model railroad clubs showing their layouts. Excellent museum and a nice bonus.

Nice to know the history...

Worth the price

Our family loves museums. My son loved all the vehicles at this one. Great displays. My daughter was dad we couldnt actually sit in a car or go on the train but she understands why. Overall a wonderful experience! Staff was super friendly as well.

The car museum is especially interesting.

You need to visit this museum.

Do a good job changing things up a little each year. This has become an annual stop when Brickspo is on.

Great well done museum. Kept the kids entertained with the treasure hunt.

So interesting to see the history of Western Canada!

Impressive collection! There's even a huge steam train engine indoors. Loved the airplanes and snow planes. And motorcycles.

I would have rated it five but due to covid you can't use the interactive parts :/

Very interesting and well maintained. Lots of history and well preserved historical items

It was great but 5 star if it had a restaurant

The best museum I have been to, WDM or otherwise. This beats the gangster museum in Las Vegas and the Clark County Museum as seen on Pawn Stars on TV. The vast array of artifacts is amazing (my favourite: the vintage bike room). They are also well-maintained. But what sets this museum apart is the curation. There are entire mini-villages set up. You can see right into a passenger train, complete with spittoon and hat box. You can tour a training base -- one of 20 in Saskatchewan which trained 33,000 aviation professionals for the British Commonwealth. You can see all stages of railway construction, right from bare prairie to grading gravel to entire towns popping up. They even built the bow of a ship, complete with anchor. Even in the middle of COVID, this was an amazing visit. Lastly, the service we received was amazing. Denise and Jan were so welcoming. James the janitor was so polite and gave us little hints about the exhibits, such as pressing the button to make the trains go. FIVE GOLD STARS! I'M A MEMBER FOR LIFE!

Lots to see. All types of transportation

As someone not from Saskatchewan, I enjoyed the trip back through time.

A great place to learn about the History of Transportation in Saskatchewan

Wow! Soooo much stuff to go through. You don't realize how big it is inside until you've been there for 2.5 hours and still have plenty more displays to see. My favorite part was the restored bush planes, some real beautiful pieces to see. I would visit again!

Informative way to spend time

It's open and it's safe! Lots of room so social distancing is not a problem. It's a great place to go to get out of the house and it's heated all the way through so it's great In the winter for a scenic stroll. The exhibits are awesome and just seeing the old planes and cars is like jumping into a time machine to see into our analog past.

Good collection of old car, plane, boats and even trains. If you are near by and need to learn more about the history of transportation in Canada then this is the place to be.

Great historical museum

Nice

This was a very nice place lots of interesting exhibits. We spent couple hours here and didn't see them all. They even have free Wi-Fi.

Great place to look at old cars boats trains and planes. Not the best for small children as there's not much to play with.

Absolutely amazing. Great staff, well priced, clean and great exhibits. Will be back

A really fun place for families. The exhibits are the same but there are often fun events here like just recently there was a huge LEGO event held here that our kids just loved!!!!

Well developed museum focused on transportation

Lots of well knowledge to learn

The history of the province as much as the air show is rivetting

Invested in a two year family membership. We will be checking out the other WDM locations but we really like the Moose Jaw one they have lots of fun events to check out and its a great place to go walk around and explore.

I love History, and Museum has history in Development of transportation, communication and wireless and winter machines

The most amazing part is the huge airplanes from different eras. Classic cars are normal museum types but the airplanes are a treasure. Allow a couple of hours to read all the details as there are no tours

Very cool old cars, snow mobiles, and trains. I was there for the Brickspo event so unfortunately I didn't take as much time as I should have to appreciate all that the museum has to offer. Next time I will

Very informative and interesting! My 7 year old loved seeing all the old vehicles. Gift shop is also very nice.

I remember coming here as a kid and thoroughly enjoying it. This time we went through on our way back to Swift Current. This museum is as I remember it to be. My 4 year old came along for the visit and really enjoyed the train section as she got to go into some of them. It was hard to really enjoy what the museum had to offer as it isn't really geared to children that age, despite this we still enjoyed our visit. They also have a good gift shop area as well. I did see some pamphlets for educational programs for younger children. This is a great museum for any car buffs or antique car collectors as there is lots to see in this regard.

Interesting place to visit with family and friends

Very friendly staff. Lots to look out. Lots to see and do.

Great displayes and not to pricy. Goid way to spend family time.

Great museum. Amazing collection

Was a really fun morning for me and my fiance. We learned so much and really enjoyed the space!

Very interesting cool museum. Many things to see, and a small store to buy toys etc.

Amazing. Lots to see

Amazing place to visit with specially really informative for kids

Lots of Canadian history in this museum

Weekday

Planes, trains and automobiles. Also boats, carts, snomobiles, motorbikes and all sorts of transportation. Very interesting museum, well worth a visit if you are ever in Moose Jaw.

Very cool. An enormous collection of planes, trains, and automobiles. It's always interesting to catch a glimpse of how the people before you lived, and it begs the question of who will look back on us

What an amazing place to see! It is a "must see" kind of place.

lots of interesting historical pieces. My kids loved doing the scavenger hunt. There was even a toddler version we enjoyed. Next time we will go on the weekend so we can go for a ride on the outdoor train!

Fantastic museum with many different perspectives on Saskatchewan history. Well laid out for those with disabilities. Worth making a special trip just to see it!

it was clean and the staff were nice

(Translated) Super beautiful (Original) Super mooi

Whenever I get to moose jaw I always love shopping at their gift shop! Such an amazing assortment and the staff is always so helpful and friendly! I only went shopping for this trip but I was able to finish up my Christmas shopping with ease!

Great Museum. My grandson was quite impressed. Lots of interesting exhibits and the provincial heritage of a lot of them is wonderful.

Great museum..so much packed into acteur building

If you're into transportation that all you will love this Museum

If you are interested in cars, trucks, trains, planes... it's a must see really. Great collection and it's looked after lovingly. I learned a lot and spent about 3 hours here. Didn't even finish! Charming staff and gift shop. The old days were truly special times.

Absolutely amazing displays

Great place for the family to go

Very cool with many other events throughout the year

Love each visit

Quite interesting

Needs more hands on stuff but other then that it was good

Excellent Brickspo displays and great facilities.

Reservation recommended

You need hot enjoy this walk thru history.

Quality exhibits, plenty to look at. Lots of planes, antique cars and trains. Plenty of 15 Wing Moose Jaw history as well.

Very informative but needed more time to spend observing

Excellent

Very interesting

(Translated) Every time I go back, I always find it better. Excellent work (Original) Cada vez que vuelvo, siempre lo encuentro mejor. Excelente trabajo

Very cool place to visit and visualize the past ????

Excellent collection of old airplanes, automobiles, motorcycles, steam engines, boats ... all kinds of technology that contributed in one way or another to the history of Saskatchewan. Just wish I'd had more time to spend there ...

Awesome place to visit with family. Lots of new information. Enjoyed it. Closes at 5 so be mindful of the time.

Well set up. Went there for a school field trip with the kids school

Visited on

Denise over the phone was so helpful and kind to me! She helped me get a gift card for my family this holiday season and they are going to love it! She spoke kindly and was fantastic at her customer service! Thank you!

Great place to take the kids and tour around. So much history and things to learn about and do. Lots of opportunities to take family photos inside. Reasonable prices for families.

A great walk through the past

Great place for kids!!

Very well organized. Displays were really great. Worth seeing.

Amazing museum. Sadly I only had two hours but could have spent three times as long. Gift shop was disappointing. Not museum specific enough, very generic Saskatchewan stuff.

I love coming here! Definitely recommend. When you purchase admissions here you also get a 50% OFF admissions for the other western development museums in Saskatoon or Yorkton.

5 star

Loved the exhibits and the staff was excellent.

Interesting pieces of history

Loved it here, so much to see and worth the trip! They were great with covid guidelines and even with the extra measures the whole experience was still wonderful.

Museum very clean . It laid out very nice. Transportation uses of yesterday so planes trains and vehicles .

Nice place

Great family activity. Love the K+S 101 shortline!

Incredible place to visit, lots to see.

Great place for an educational visit

Used to bring my kids. Great place

Great play to take children

Great place to learn the history of Saskatchewan.

Just because I drove by, doesn't mean I was there. Rating down due to Google Maps suggestions I visited this place

We were in town for the train show for our third year! Love the show and had a blast!

The musuem has a extensive collection of artifacts that reflect the Praire history. The 4 museums ( each in a different city) reflects a part of that history. They also have year round activities and events suitable for children , adults and families . Take time to enjoy a journey through our Praire history.

Friendly staff.

awesome history that is well displayed.history of transportation of past.great train display and airplanes.make sure you have two hours to enjoy.staff very friendly and building very clean

Great place to take kids or even have a date. Not overly expensive and some great classic planes, trains, and automobiles in there!

Clean, organized, interesting

Went for the Lego show but saw so much more while working our way through the Lego displays.

Awesome wander for all ages!

Airplanes cars snowmobiles trains & a holiday trailer all the way from England

You can really feel the love the staff and volunteers put into this place! Different activities to do each time you're there keeps it exciting. The gift shop has great merchandise and it is SUPER well priced! It is a must-stop place in MJ !

If you like to see old stuff this is a great place to visit

Lots of great items to see from the older ages of our province.

Being there is like walking into the past. Its a great place to visit and it is a great place to take your family

Amazing! It's been almost 40 years since I was here and it was so interesting to walk through and really see how time and life has changed. Staff were absolutely fantastic.

This is a really enjoyable museum. Many historic aircraft and cars to see there. The train section is very interesting. The written descriptions of the items could be expanded with more info. Everything is so well maintained.

Excellent collection. Most impressive that a lot of pieces aren’t “restored” but are in the condition that they were likely last used in. The restored pieces are very well done too. A very broad range of exhibits and I learned a lot about Saskatchewan. I guess it’s not just Pilsner drinking professional gopher hunters and Roughriders fans after all…

Awesome place

Great fun place!

Delight to visit, with exceptional staff!

Really enjoyed the museum. Lots of interesting exhibits. Well Put together. Price was good.

I really liked it. So much information. We could go back again without paying,if we had our receipt, the next day. You could spend days in it learning lots. Maybe a history class could have all their classes in there. At the end we would know all of Sask.'s history.

Amazing place! Many old trains and vehicles that you don't usually see. I especially enjoyed the section on healthcare and the iron lung machine which I hadn't seen before. My elder son 5 this year had a good time looking at several dioramas as well. The admission fees were affordable, the place is well kept and clean. There isn't too much description on most of the vehicles or trains but that was OK with me since I didn't have the time to read anyway with 2 young kids. There is also a section on 100 years of Saskatchewan history if you're the reading sort. Stroller friendly!

Kids enjoyed our visit. Takes 1.5 to 2 hours to view at a leisurely pace.

Always an excellent way to spend the afternoon with the kids! Nice touch with a scavenger hunt.

Lots to see. Doesn't cost a lot. Well organized with three separate areas.

We had a great time exploring the displays. So much history to take in.

It was large and offered some different exhibits.

There is so much interesting transportation machines and tools and information that it takes more than one day to view it all.

Wow what a great place well put together

Historical Saskatchewan...loved the visit!

What a museum! The incredible selection of different types of transportation is wonderful. They have it set up so that it flows from one area to another. The staff was so nice and the price was extremely reasonable.

Not sure

No wait

We had a lot of fun going thru the trains and looking at the planes.

So much fun!!! My kids are so excited about our visit we are going back tomorrow before we leave for another visit!

The facility is extremely clean and the staff were very friendly ! This Museum is dedicated to all things related to transportation in Saskatchewan. All the cars, trucks, plains and train's are immaculately cared for and displayed beautifully this is truly a must-see stop in my opinion.

Would be really hard to truly appreciate all of it in one trip. Next time I am going to bring my dad and enjoy his trip down memory lane. It's well worth the admission price.

Fantastic

Enjoyed

Gift shop has wide variety of items and staff were very friendly. Second time there this year.

So much to see loved it and the kids did too

(Translated) It's okay .... (Original) Ça va ....

Great day visit. Neat stuff to see .

Very nice. Very nice 5

Loved it

This is an awesome way to help children (of all ages) enjoy a glimpse into the history of our area. I loved watching the kids doing the scavenger hunt that took them through every exhibit area. Such a brilliant way to keep youngsters engaged.

Good little place to visit

This stop never disappoints. A few extra items from when I was a child but was everything the toddler wanted to see under one roof. It has a steam and diesel locomotives with atmosphere for the railfan, a plethora of classic and unique vehicles, telescope display, and planes from both civilian and military backgrounds over the ages. And just for fun, get see a snowbird or two with a goofy twist. Make the stop if you are passing though.

Loved the Lego event. Loved seeing all the old cars, trains, etc.

Very interesting...lots of information/ exhibits

You Moose Jaw people are so lucky to have this place!

Lots of historical and educational things to see.

Went after the holidays with my fiance. He loves the museum, but I was skeptical. Thought it was marvelous!! Spent an entire afternoon exploring and taking pictures
