Best buy is a good place to go for electronics. They have a lot of selections of 4K TVS, a lot of gaming consoles, games, printers, ink, computers, and computer monitors. Best buy is reasonably priced and has good customer service. I would reccomend to go here to get video games and gaming needs as they have an excellent selection

Never seems to have what you need in stock, the only thing saving this from being a 1 or 2 star review is the fact that one staff member went above and beyond to try and locate the product that was indicated in stock but was nowhere to be found. Please work on your stocking levels... or you know... just do what Target did.

Terrible place to go Christmas shopping or any shopping of any kind. I personally have gone to this store many time to either go there and find out that don't have the product that are sitting on there shelves or that you are getting ripped off because there website has better selection and pricing. I would not personally recommend go to this store at all

This is the usual Best Buy franchise location, and this location was once called Future Shop. They have the expected assortment of electronics, computer stuff, mobile electronics, wearable electronics, and so on. I wouldn't say that this particular example of the chain store is special in any way, so if you like Best Buy in other cities, chances are good that you will like this place as well. The staff is generally friendly, but they don't get in-your-face like other places, so I don't mind going in and browsing. If you know what you're looking for, you can sometimes snag a good deal here. If you're tech savvy, using your Android phone to scan products and look up reviews from all over the web can help you save a bundle.

I’ve usually had problems with chain electronic stores or found that they’re not always he best. This is the opposite for this Best Buy. They have routinely gone above and beyond to help myself and other customers. They’re mobile phone department is probably the best example. If your looking for anything really, this place is great. Good people, good service and good products. Can’t go wrong.

The prices are standard Best Buy prices and they will match if needed. The shelves seem stocked and I have always found what I wanted when I would go there.

Best Buy just lost a sale today, April 20 2021, because their staff didn’t know how to properly handle a customer who knows what they want and wasn’t afraid to complain about helicopter employees. So I went to London Drugs where I’m always treated with respect, they know how to not harass a customer and understand when a customer need a question answered. London Drugs got the $1000 sale.

I thought Future Shop always had terrible service but I was surprised to see an even greater level of disservice the other day . I walked into the store beside a fellow who is unknown to me and after a solid 10 minutes of watching 5 blue shirts making weekend plans I went into the TV dept and that guy helped me with some camera stuff . The guy that walked in with me gave up and left . This place needs more floor managers as 5 people in a circle could be slimmed down to one or none if they aren't producing . It is always the same mismanaged shame . In retail there's a lot worry about and I worked / managed / owned retail for almost 20 years so I get it but try to try . First staff rule SPREAD OUT as you can't cover 10'000 square feet when the whole staff is in a tiny circle facing each other !

A relief to have a store I can rely on to follow Covid-19 protocols! I found PS4 controllers here, even amidst the chip shortage. There was tons of branded signage implemented, reminding customers to mask up and keep their distance. The floor plan was logical and made for a comfortable shopping experience.

*Posted on Geek Squad Reviews as well* Awesome Service Geek Squad! the two guys in Medicine Hat, Alberta, On July 19th 2020, were friendly, knowledgeable. I was having trouble playing some games on my laptop, they knew immediately what games and why it wasn't running optimal. They helped me with an upgrade SSD, showed me how to take apart my laptop, install was just a couple hours, went back later to pick it up and it was sanitized, cleaned and I was very satisfied. One of the best experiences I have ever had with ANY store. I am sure they even did some simple maintenance fixes to make it run faster and better even when I'm not gaming. All data was recovered and back in it's place. 10/10!

The starts are strictly for the sales guy we dealt with, Austin. We went in with intentions to purchase a Surface Go. After realizing it was smaller than we thought, we went to look at Chromebooks, Austin helped us decide it wasn't what we were looking for based on our needs. We then looked at the Dell Inspiron 13, and really liked it, however the only one left was the demo. That wasn't a problem, we were told it just needed to be wiped and should be ready in the morning as they would start it to do the wipe overnight. At 2pm, I went into to pick up the laptop, and was told that there was an error during the wipe and they had to restart it. This wasn't an issue, however a phone call to let me know this was the situation would have been nice, as it was anticipated for the morning... After I asked if it would be done for tomorrow, I left. Three hours later I missed a call, no voicemail was left, so I called back. I was put on hold for a few minutes and was told it was ready. I got there and the laptop was sitting with the charging cord wrapping up on top of it. The girl behind the service desk handed me the laptop and cord. This is a brand new computer in which I just spend $600 on, it wasn't even put into a box, and when I asked for one she told me it was thrown out, and offered me a bag instead.. I understand this is a demo product, but surly there must be some sort of packaging available aside from a plastic bag to put a BRAND NEW computer into. At no point with in the store was I greeted with a "Hi, how are you?" or even a smile, nor did anyone say "Have a nice day" as we left or "Sorry for the delay/inconvenience". These are basic customer service skills, which this staff seriously lacked. I felt like a burden being there, which is not something a person should feel when looking to make a large purchase. We seen a few other products in the store which at some point will want to purchase, however because of the lack of customer service, we will be buying these elsewhere

I was quite annoyed by their home delivery service and their installation team the customer service is garbage we were told we could have another week of waiting if we rescheduled our delievery when we were only given notice 24hours before the delivery and a 4hour window as to when they would arrive. Then we are told we need to have the old appliances pulled out for them....what did i pay for? And the install guy told us he could install "sometime this week" i work out of town and she works during the day. we cant just put our lives on hold to accomadate such short notice and vague responses. I called our boys in the medicine hat store and they fixed things so that we could pick up our appliances from their store instead of dealing with that headace. 5 stars to the med hat in store team its a pity that the delivery team and install team brought those 5 stars down to 3 stars tho.

New iMAC 6 weeks behind everyone else, I asked about iPad pro and was told "i'm not sure" but they have it in Calgary,Edmonton and Lethbridge stores??!!! Or order it online. I initially came in to buy more tape for my label maker. The associate who offered to help me (I forget his name) showed me where they were and talked about my small business. I had been looking at laser printers for some time and mentioned that I only saw black and white. He was awesome because he said that he thought there was one on sale and we went up front so he could check online. He found one that was on sale for $200 off and could order it in for me. It was the best price I found anywhere. He was really helpful and not pushy at all.

This has been a life saver for me many times. And if they don't have an item in stock, simply go to the website and order it there. You'll be able to pick up the item in store in a few days. I bought a washer and dryer set here and after about 18 months the washer stopped draining. So I called geek squad and since it was after hour I got the overseas squab. Well they wrote the info down wrong and when I called again during the day I spoke to in country geek squad. They told me that it went down. Anyway wrote to best buy about the problem that I didnt want to wait 2 1/2 weeks for a washer and I had to pay out of pocket to go to the laundry mat. Well the manager (Marshal) came over that night with a washer for me to use until mine was fixed. This is why I will always shop here.

Price match policy should say “we’ll match it, as long as it’s not more than $20” Called ahead, spoke to manager on duty about an all in one printer/copy/scanner that was on sale at staples. He says no prob, just show the flyer or website when you arrive. Showed up 10 min later with the sale details showing item in store at local Staples to cashier. They were shocked to see it was $90 off MSRP and got the run around. Waited for manager at till but apparently he was too busy in the back. Walked out without printer. Guess I’m going to Staples tomorrow.

In all honesty, it's always been a hit or miss at Best Buy/Futurueshop. It really depends on the workers themselves as well. I can walk to one kid and get completely incorrect information, the next will have knowledge that surpasses my own. Most of the time us as customers only post when we have a shitty experience here because that's our only way of venting and kicking them in the ass somehow. They have this warranty on everything they try to sell you on, but in reality. They're doing their job. It's not up to those guys as to what they can and can't tell/do for you. Honestly this is one of the best stores I've stepped into. Would be nice if the workers were placed in certain sections as opposed to having a ridiculous amount of knowledge in computers and none in tvs, audio, or anything else for that matter. As well as for the previous review, i used to work in retail in calgary. They don't make the decisions on what sales go on. most places, they go in. And post up whatever new prices there are for the day, go work in retail and you'll understand yourself instead of asking for information they simply don't get. Not their faults, but once again. They should have people dedicated in separate sections in the store like appliances, audio, tv's, computers, and phones.

These guys are quick to answer things but they actually don’t know what they are taking about! Selling wrong items to people wasting their time and having to take things back.... Oh and what your actually wanting NOT in stock! Save yourself the hassle and just order from amazon!

Great experience when buying a Brother laser printer with my friend. The rep didn't try to BS us into buying overpriced craps or pressure us into buying unnecessary extras. Even gave us some tips on price matching during the upcoming sale. Really refreshing experience compared to the neighbourhood competitors.

I went to this store this morning shopping for a new Blue ray/DVD player. When I walked in the store I walked by 3 staff - all just standing there. I spent almost 15 minutes in the section, not a single staff person approached me. As I left the store there were 5 staff standing near the front of the store - three chatting to each other, the other two doing nothing. As I approached the exit one asked me if I found what I was looking for.... no - if I had I'd be carrying out a purchase. I commented to him that no one offered to help me so I was leaving... I went to Visions and ten minutes later had my new Blue ray. The service at Best Buy is awful.. these people need to learn to ask customers if they can be of assistance - this is my second time in a Best Buy store and my second experience of poor customer services.

I had left a laptop for repair which I purchased in Calgary a year before. It was really screwed up and they couldn't fix it so we negotiated an exchange for a different model, all over the phone, long distance from Mexico. When I went to pick it up 2 months later the staff member who helped me treated me like he knew me. I recommend dealing with this location.

Today I had a most unfortunate visit to the Best Buy here in Medicine Hat. Being the holidays, I was expecting the store to be quite busy, so I made sure to allow ample time for my visit. I wanted to find out as much information about the product I was interested in purchasing, without burdening the staff too much. Upon entering the store, I noticed that my fears were unwarranted, as I was one of only maybe 5 customers inside the building. I approached the service counter and was the only person waiting for assistance. Here's where my problem started. The two younger gentlemen working the service desk were not even looking in the direction of would be customers (myself) and deeply entrenched in a conversation about their weekend. Not normally a huge deal but their topics they were discussing were extremely inappropriate for a work place environment, and at an even more inappropriate volume. This went on unchecked for 20 minutes. 20 minutes I stood there, no acknowledgment, no manager checking in on them, no other staff noticing my frustrations. If I was a secret shopper, the entire store would have failed already, and I hadn't even been spoken to yet. When the conversation finally did stray away from dick jokes and sexually charged star wars references, I was able to ask about the product i was interested in. I had done some light research online myself, and was hoping to just cover a few simple questions, before buying. One of the employees admitted he "knew absolutely nothing about them" and the other began reciting the info directly off the side of the box. I mentioned that I had already read the side of the box and asked if there was anyone around who could perhaps offer more in depth info about the item. The answer was no and that I could basically read stuff online about it. I asked if either of the guys had any experience at all with computers and electronics before starting at Best Buy. They both said "no". I asked for a manager. The manager was "in the back" and added "he doesn't know either" and finally that I "should have just googled my questions prior to coming in". Now, I can accept not being helped as soon as I walk into the store, I can accept that the manager was too busy to come out, I can accept that I had to listen to two simple jack teens blabbering on about their lives at top volume and ignoring customers, but what I CANNOT accept, is having employees that have zero clue what the hell you guys are selling. Zero technical knowledge and training. And zero life experience as not a single employee around there is above the age of 18. Best Buy is obviously not going to pay the best wages, and that results in a much younger employee demographic, but this is a TECH store, a place to buy the latest and greatest. Surely someone around there should have even the smallest inclination of how to turn on a computer or fire up a stereo system. I don't even want to imagine the mayhem that might have ensued had I asked to look at a drone. Needless to say I did not buy the item, and have ordered it instead online.

I find the selection is getting less for products overall. They carry lots of products but to many that has little to do with the standard home electronics. Everything from TV's to dishwashers. They will tell you to go to their website for more selection but if I do that I will look for the lowest price.

I don't normally write reviews but this I feel should be shared as it's very frustrating between Google and Best Buy. I am very unhappy with both google and Best Buy. We both got new phones as are contract was up and went with the GOOGLE PIXEL 3. Well in the process my wife had a baby that's in Nicu so we are both very busy and now my wife is with our baby all day and I travel back and forth. Well 5 days later of having the phones the common problem apparently all over the internet is we lose connection with one another. I can't even talk to someone 3 blocks down Every phone call we make to each other we constantly lose connection and it cuts in and out. Only way we can have a conversation is facetiming one another. Both google and Best Buy are aware of this issue After only a month and 6 days I had a chance to deal with this situation as it's very frustrating with difficult times we are having and can not communicate with one another. I have talked to Google and Best Buy the only result is Best Buy could only do something for me if it was in the 30 days and gave me a BS story. Google wants me to be without a phone for 5-15 business days before getting a new one. We have had terrible service with both as not only does my job consist of my phone but more importantly my family. THIS IS ARE FIRST AND WILL BE ARE LAST GOOGLE PRODUCT. We also would expect better service from Best Buy understanding we couldn't have the chance to get in there in time. We were willing to make something work but are just not able to be without a phone. VERY DISSAPOINTED IN BOTH COMPANIES

This has to be the the least informed staffI have ever come across in my entire life. You ask one of their employees a question and he says he needs to get somebody from that department. The person from the department then comes along and you ask them the question and their vast wealth of knowledge concerns of reading the information off of the box to me as if I can’t read myself. Upon a second visit I asked for assistance and was told to go browse in the section and they would be a long after 20 minutes I go to the front and ask again and they say it will send somebody right over another 10 minutes goes by and not a soul is to be found.go into the store for a good sale item and oh we only carry that online but we have this version that will work it only costs 40% more.

Looking for headphones turned into a nightmare -1-Earlier this week salesman says no returns possible on Bose headphones-he checked with management-2-Online Bose has generous return policy 30-90 days and when I phoned the manager-Tim- he confirmed that and promised he will train staff better-3-Website yesterday afternoon indicated that specific headphone is in stock and can be picked up in 20 minutes-4-Went in this morning for final look.Decides to buy and salesman says they have stock-5-Cashier though checked on her computer and says NO stock !!-WHAT A GONG SHOW !!!!

It's Best Buy so you know what products you get. I'm concerned that there can be so many employees and such little attention to the people shopping there. I have gone in many times as I'll support them for movies or similar items over others that carry that. The environment has always been the same, very little help or effort to help. If you're looking for self serve than it's fine. If you want advice or education on anything electronic I would suggest London Drugs or Visions Electronics.

Only 2 stars because of the workers. The extra star is only because the store had what I was looking for. The staff won't acknowledge you even though you're trying to get their attention. They just gossip with one another. So if you're in need of assistance in this store, make sure to go up to the employee right away to ask for help. If you don't, you'll be left alone in the isles looking like a fool trying to figure out where to look for the item you want or what the best choice is. Another thing is that they didn't even know what's the best item for the buck of the product that you're looking for. They just recommend one of the expensive stuff.

Still Bad service one-third again to try it a second time and I was in the store for about two hours and no one helped me they all said around the front talking with each other when the bosses weren't around it wasn't until I left the store when they looked up and said did you find everything with five people looking at me standing there like a bunch of morons racist boss that i have seen in face calling a employe that he had a disability and he called it an excuse and fired him the people stand around i hve made complaints about this marshell should have lost job cause of workplace harasment with the labour board but i also found out best buy corperation dosnt care about harasment in their place of work i spent 30 mins instore and they still stand at front this place a joke if your looking to wast timeshoping go here jus think its a sick place with the people there the only two workers that did help with any service i was looking for talk to Joseph in apliences or kirk in tv they they onlygood workers and i think they get a raise also not to mention when you call the store 3/4 of the time nobody answered the phone one day I had to call about 7 times in order to speak with somebody doesn't seem to be a real place of business

I just spent my my $800.00 at Visions! Asked where Drones section was greeter told me nicely. I couldn’t find it in the camera section. I walk around for a bit and finally go the tall guy in black talking to a guy in a suit about “transitioning” if he works there. He says yes. I ask him where I might find the drone. He repeats says camera section. I finally find it on my own behind the post. Well doors are locked no staff, they are all in the front section. I’m fed up and go to Visions. By the way Drones are cheaper there.

Do not shop here if you want correct and accurate advice on which products to purchase. When you ask for help you get directed to the next person a few times before finally coming to someone who points you in the direction to go look yourself. On top of when i found what i needed myself and paid for it i figured out i did not need it so upon returning it i notice the price was cut from 20$ to 10$ and noone can explain why within a night of purchasing an item it was marked down 50%?

Unfortunately it's impossible to talk to anyone on the phone at best buy, even to ask a simple product question. All that is provided is an 1800 number with an automated voice recording that is less than helpful. You would think an electronics store would have an in store phone number and someone there capable of answering the call.

I went to Best Buy today to return a Xmas gift that had issues. I expected to be told that the store could do nothing as the item was 2 months old and I had not purchased the extended warranty.
