I phoned looking for a certain snow blower that the inventory said only one was in stock, the guy put me on hold to go look and came back and said he couldn’t find it in store that he would look outside and put me on hold again, which I didn’t mind, then a different guy answered and he sounded annoyed, I said I was on hold while a guy looked outside and a few seconds later it hung up on me and I would bet money that it was the annoyed guy who done it. If I can, I should give them Zero rate!!! My engine light was on and shew Misfire. They charged me 2 hours for the first time and said no time to continue, and 1.5 hours for the later time. They charged me labour for about $450. The technician told me he took off the air intake valve and found it's leaking on the back and don't promised it's the reason for misfire. And he also told me it's about $800 to replace it. But I told him there was no code shows this intake problem. I refused to replace it after paying $180+ for the second checking. I decided to check it myself. And according to the information from Google, the symptoms of the relay problem is very closed to my car. I went to buy a relay @ $20 from Napa, and everything is gone. Now I have driven my car for more than 1000km, and there is no engine light on again. During repairing it myself, I found some other issues, the ABS connector and the relay of cooling system were not connected well that caused new codes. And it's good after my reconnecting them. So the Canadian Tire technician has really poor knowledge to diagnose the problems. They may create more problems after repairing. Do not go to ask them diagnose and repair your car in the auto service department of Parry Sound. I also disputed my case to the manager and the customer care Dept of the Canadian Tire, but no any feedback after almost a month. No customer care at all.

Got my car worked on there today. This morning they said there were no appointments until the next day and then I drop it off and they say well maybe we can have a look at it turns around they looked at it and fixed it in a few hours. The problem was the horn they installed wasn't working properly and the serpentine belt came off after the alternator they put on. I was going to put the belt on myself but I noticed the air conditioning belt was still on there and it was a difficult task to remove it then put the serpentine belt on and put the AC belt back on so I took it to Canadian Tire to have them look at the horn anyway. I got a bill for a starting charging inspection of $35 and a bill for an air conditioner compressor belt for 5 0.33. I get in the car I drive at home the air conditioner don't work now and the horn still doesn't work. Not happy will change my review if tomorrow they fix everything

We were not aloud to enter because we had a small dog in our arms. It's a scolding hot day out and they sell pet supplies, the dog is not on the ground nor is there open food within the structure. It's very sad at this day and age that they would rather have patrons leave their animals in the car rather then bring them in for a few minutes. It's cottage country people aren't front around here and are passing through, sometimes you don't have the option to leave an animal at home. The way the employee "Joe" ( after reading reviews could be Jim, ridiculously tall guy, the employees could have lied when I asked his name) handled the situation was not only personally rude but extremely unprofessional and represents Canadian tire in a very distasteful way. It's our understanding that Canadian tire has no policy that pets are not aloud in stores it's individually decided so everyone should know these owners have decided on their own in cottage country "no dogs aloud"...Will never return.

I took in my car because the check engine light was blinking (it was previously on but when it's blinking that's when you should worry) and they charged me 90$ just to hook it up to the computer and told me it would cost 550$ to fix. Looked at it myself a couple days later and it was a spark plug which is a 4$ fix. They don't know what they're doing they just want as much money as possible. And the worst part is the 550$ "fix" they wanted to do wouldn't have changed a thing.

Vicki in parts took the time to see if a key from one of their in stock explorer cases fit my box, and then went as far as to order one for me! Fantastic. It is unfortunate that the only way they will let you purchase anything from inside the store is via credit card and online which some of you may understand is not an option for all of us. So I called the store and asked if they could simply allow me to pay for the brakes in the garden centre because they are allowing debit purchases in that area. The response was sorry you cannot purchase anything why don't you ask a family member or a friend to use their credit card and you will pay them back. Unfortunately I have no friends right now in this area and my family hasn't talked to me for 10 years and I need brakes for my car. I called the auto parts store not so far from Canadian Tire and they were more than happy to allow me to purchase using my debit card at the door. Needless to say, Canadian Tire has forever lost my current business and any future business I may have intended to give them. A person can acquire anything in a Canadian Tire store pretty much anywhere. You can also use a debit card with any of their competitors who carry the same inventory. You would think during these times of COVID that as business such as this would have tried just a little harder to help the little guy they claim to support, it's not like I was asking for a discount just a different payment option.

Had to stop by the automotive centre before leaving Killbear as I had a flat tire on a rental car. The car did not have any tools in order to switch out the tire with a spare so I had to call a tow truck to come with the proper equipment to put on my spare. Drove to Canadian Tire to get my tire plugged so that I could drive the 4 hours back home and they told me that they can fix the tire but refused to put the tire back on my car. They said that they wanted to go home (it was around 4pm and they close at 5) and I explained that I would not be able to drive back home without their help. I even asked if I could just borrow the tools for 10 minutes to put the tire on myself and they said no and to find another way to get my tire on. The customer service here is horrible. They give you dirty looks and speak to you with so much attitude. I honestly have never been spoken to so rudely at a store in my life. If you ever need to get your car fixed, I would honestly recommend that you choose to go somewhere else. And looking at other reviews, there seems to be a pattern of the auto centre being rude and incompetent.

Long time customer of the store, purchased a kids bike and the bearings in the pedal mechanism fell out. Bike is 3.5 months old. I didn't have my receipt and was told that they can't warranty it. I asked if they can look up the receipt in their system, I was told they couldn't. I asked if they could look it us using the rewards system, they said no. I left with the bike, instead of paying to have the bike repaired I went to wal-mart and purchased a new bike for my 5 year old. Decided to call corporate customer relations for Canadian Tire and ask the same questions and was told different answers. They said that the receipts can be looked up if I had paid debit, credit and or used rewards within 12 months which I did. Called back to the local Canadian Tire and they do some backtracking saying that it was just the individual store policy to look up the receipts or not. They then asked if I wanted the bike repaired and I said no, refund or store credit, they said no. Bike was not needed after buying a new one elsewhere. It only takes the one bad service experience to loose a customer.

Did you Know that if you buy ANYTHING at CanTire that plugs in > IF on teh FIRST plug in that item doesn' work > TOUGH. No return, Even though its NEW > Once you plug it in CanTire has decided it is USED and you have to deal with warranty. Not to mention Very RUDE cashiers. I won't go back. Car inspections are really good, but I notice every single one of Canadian tires really have a busy team at the service. Many would agree. It's hard to reach service when calling, and when you're there at the counter, they are stressed out and don't have much time to answer to calls and not enough workers to speed up the clientele process. I give it a 3 because of that. On hold for 25+ mins is ridiculous.

Went there to purchase a Dyson that was on sale in the flyer. We did comparison with what was on the shelf and made our decision but, there were none on the shelf. In fact, there was a sign saying find an associate to assist with any of the Dysons. We found an associate and asked for help. She replied not looking at us "Just a minute.". When she turned with her price gun in hand we had taken a photo of the sku and showed her. She typed it in and then said " Are there none on the shelf?". We told her there weren't. She responds "Well....I'll have to go upstairs.". She yells across the store to someone saying how she has to go upstairs for a vacuum for a customer. Her tone was rude. We felt as though she was terribly inconvenienced having to help us. I get it. Maybe it wasn't her section. Maybe she was busy. She could have handled it much better. She chose not to. We chose to purchase our Dyson from East Coast Furnishings instead.

We have always had fantastic service at this store. Recently bought tires and had them installed. The young clerk in the evening was very friendly and the installation was good. The re-torque was quick with drive up service. There is a very good selection of products in the store for a city the size of Summerside. Up until today, I would have given this Canadian tire a higher rating. Today Was a terrible interaction. We purchased a generator from this location, and unfortunately it stopped working a little over 2 weeks ago on a Sunday and this store was closed because of their hours. no big deal. I drove to the New Liskeard location, and they gave me a straight exchange. no questions asked. My next generator lasted just over 2 weeks and would not start. So I take it to the Kirkland lake location. I get told to bring it in after the mechanics take a lunch because someone needs to look at it, no problem. it took the mechanics 2 hours to determine there was low compression in the machine. This was after being told a compression test will take an hour to do (not the case for a single cylinder engine, max it should take is 15 to 20 minutes) Then it took another almost 30 minutes to complete the exchange after finally getting ahold of the own to inform him of the compression issue. There is NO REASON it should have taken this long for the generator to be looked at. I was there the entire time, and I between "looking" at the generator other vehicles were being swapped around the shop. I live completely off grid, I've spent upwards of over $5,000 in the last few months on materials. I can assure you, after how I was treated, I will gladly drive to the New Liskeard location going forward.

This Cdn Tire in Port Hawksbury was the only one around that had the food dehydrator that was on sale. It showed online the store had 5 so I hopped in the car and drove an hour to get there. There were none on the shelf so I asked and the woman looked it up and said she would get me one from the stock room. Auto service department--Shame on you!! We broke down in Nov and had to leave our car there to get repaired. They replaced a coil and a spark plug. Since then I have broken down twice due to the coil coming off the spark plug. We realized last night that the mechanic had broken the bolt that holds the coil on. It was also written on the invoice. The bolt should have been removed once it broke off-now nothing can go in and hold coil down. They won't fix the issue without a cost to us and since it was broken there, should have been drilled out at the time. I don't feel the labour cost should be on me.

Canadian Tire Store, Summerside has everything I need. Lots of inventory and great weekly specials. Bought a Champion generator (on sale) and hooked it up, powers our whole house. Bought a ping pong table(Eastpoint 3200 series, on sale) and it is an excellent table. Staff friendly and helpful, store manager Peter Cusack, very helpful.

Had our 2014 jeep Cherokee repaired here two weeks ago. Awesome job of installing a new wheel bearing quickly by getting needed part from local Napa store in Parry Sound. We were faced with trying to get car to nearest dealer at least one hour away so saved us time. Watched all the mechanics engaged in completing their work. Top notch customer service-friendly and efficient. They kept us informed. With a triangle card, you can pay no interest for a period of time. We always come here for seasonal tire changes and oil changes as well.

Don’t ever come here for auto servicing! It is far too expensive compared to literally ANY other shop in town. Being from the States this is a great little store. We do not have the Canadian tire. The store had a great selection and everything we needed. We were on a trip North in a motor home pulling a Jeep.
