The jeweler in GP where I originally got it from not only turned me away, but then told me to repair it myself. I came to Janina's in a panic, and I was treated like Gold there!! I brought a set of rings in for a crack to solder, a rhodium plate, solder the set together. Total cost $297.15. The workmanship was excellent. However I asked the associate if I could have a Janina's cleaning cloth and she wanted to charge me 5.00 for the cloth. I was absolutely surprised that she would charge me for a cloth that probably cost the store $2.00 after I spent almost $300.00 for work on my original cost $275.00 ring. The point was the ring was very meaningful to me. The clerk should have known that the cost of repairs warranted a free cleaning cloth.

Terrific experience at Janina's! This summer, my wife lost one of a pair of diamond earrings that she's had for years. She was pretty upset about it. So, when she wasn't looking, I stole the remaining earring and took it in to Janina's to see if they could copy it. If I'm being honest, I really didn't give the staff near enough time to get the job done in time for Christmas. But get it done they did!!!! I can't tell you how happy my wife was on Christmas morning to open the box and find her "lost" earrings! Not only was the copy IDENTICAL to the original, the original earring was also cleaned and polished to it's original shine! They looked magnificent. It was only when she put the earrings in that she could tell, by the feel of the "click" of the clasp when it closed, which earring was the original. Only way we could tell them apart. Terrific service. Terrific product. Thank you Janina's!

But please everyone of Grande Prairie if you are looking for jewelry go shop at janinas. They stand behind their product and if something happens to it they have in store goldsmiths who fix the problem. I bought a ring there and I damaged it and I took it back and they fixed it free of charge. I took some other jewellery into get cleaned and fixed and I thought I would get treated kind of low because the jewelry I have is not thousands of dollars but they were so nice to me and fixed my jewelry at a good price and made feel as important as a person spending 10s of thousands of dollars. I can’t say enough good things about this place.

I had won a contest through a local radio station. Unfortunately the ring kept losing stones. I was lucky enough Janina's fixed it everytime. Last time they sent it off to the manufacturer and it was sent back unfixed. Janina's took it upon themselves to fix my ring, replace the list diamonds and also added extra gold to reenforce the settings for my diamonds. At no extra charge to myself. I ended up squishing my ring on my finger at work, luckily there was no damage to my finger. Anyway i called into Janinas to see if they could repair my ring. The very nice lady that picked up asked me to bring it in as soon as possible and they would see what they could do. I was out and about anyway so i stoppped in right away. I showed them the ring and she took it into the back to the goldsmith and returned within 5 minutes with my ring. It was completely repaired and cleaned. Upon asking how much this was going to cost i was told "no charge and have a nice day". As soon as you enter store it is apparent this is a well managed high end business. We browsed for a few minutes before being approached by sales representative but staff were obviously occupied with customers. The store is very well stocked and everything is nicely displayed. Once we became involved with sales rep, we were offered a refreshment which was very thoughtful and not something usually encountered. We explained our situation and what we were looking for and in relatively short time had been shown something very appropriate. There was never any hint of pressure to make a purchase, which I appreciate. We ended making a significant purchase with a generous discount. It was toward the end of our visit that we learned, this is a family operated business, which is preferable to us. Overall was a very positive experience and will make our 25th wedding anniversary just a bit more significant.

I was visiting a friend from grande prarrie and mentioned to her that I had needed to get my engagement ring resized so i could actually wear it on the proper finger. She recommended I go check at Janinas jewellers to see if they could help me out also she was a customer of there's and loved there jewellery and mentioned about their amazing customer service. So I phoned on a Friday I believe to see if they could help me out showed them the ring which didn't come from there and they resized it for me from a 7 to 5 an1/4 I left it there around noon and picked it up next day around twoish which was finished quicker then was quoted ;) but had paid for one day fix since I was leaving home on the monday. Anyways long story short lol my ring looked perfect it also was a detailed ring very unique in style, you couldn't even tell that it was resized the band was woven like vines so it be easy to see if it looked mismatched they did amazing job, awesome customer service, would highly recommend them was so happy to surprise my finance coming back home wearing my ring on my ring finger. Definitely would recommend Janinas Jewellers thank you again I appreciate the quick service and help ;)

Received a chain as a gift from girlfriend worth $800, I decided I didn't really like it and that we could spend the money elsewhere on the both of us instead. Went back one day later to return it, with box, receipt, not even taken out or touched. They absolutely refused a refund on her card, saying they could only do store credit. I've always said it, and I'll keep saying it, these places are nothing but a marked up complete scam. Now its a year later, with a store credit of 800 bucks that we'll never use because the store is too greedy. Absolute joke.

I took my moms ring to get fixed and to replace one of the small diamonds and they did a phenomenal job. They all went above and beyond and the ring came back looking better than it ever has. I was told after spending a small fortune at this "company" that "perhaps this isn't a good fit" well it was a good fit when spending thousands but now when they are asked to honor defective products it is no longer a good fit. Do yourselves a favor and buy elsewhere where you are a valued customer! The ring purchased for my wife brought her to tears...for all the wrong reasons. I took the piece to 4 other locations the same day, who all concurred a design issue was the underlying issue. This company will not be getting any referrals from me, quite the contrary. First of all, it is nerve wracking to have to trust a stranger with your treasured jewlery. Next, you hope that they will keep your jewlery safe even if it is not worth much monetarily, they will understand its worth to you. I have had my wedding/engagement rings for 21 years and one of the bands snapped. I had gone to another jewler to look at it first and had a very unpleasant experience. I searched this time for a jewlery store with a goldsmith on site. I found Janina's and decided to go and see how they would treat my old, not very expensive rings. To my absolute surprise and pleasure they treated me and my rings with the utmost respect and care. When I got my rings back they were not only fixed, they looked brand new, and the total cost was a third of the quote from the first place. Janina's will have all of my business and referrals.

It funny you texted me. The day that I was in I was told that the rose gold necklace and earrings were sold out but there was a replacement set. I was excited about getting the set with the bracelet. I also purchased the 3 pieces in silver too. As we continued to the counter to pay for the 3 sets I mentioned that I had a store credit. The young lady who helped me found the credit and applied it to my total. Now I was charged over $150.00 on top of the $200 store credit. I didn't think any more about it until later that evening. Why was my purchase over $350? I looked at the receipt and I was charged more for the replacement set than I thought I was suppose to be. I don't have the receipt on me at the moment but I am sure you can check it out with my purchase at your store. I was lead to believe that these pieces were $33 or $37 each. Not the price that I paid. Therefore I will be returning this purchase as it was not what I expected for a price. Can you check into it and let me know was it a mistake that should have been corrected at the till?

I went to Janinas to resize two of my rings, and just check over / clean (heirloom). The staff were incredible, and gave me an accurate time frame (nothing worse than expecting something and it takes much longer than quoted). It took 4 weeks; however they do everything in house, so i didn’t have to worry about my rings getting lost in transit! They did an excellent job- highly recommend.
