You have the information of real people who consumed the services of CyraCom (Translator) in Fort Saint John (Canada).
Right now the business receives a score of 3.6 over 5 and that score was based on 122 reviews.
As you can read, the average score it has is very high, and it's based on a large number of feddbacks, so we may say that the score is very credible. If there are many people who bothered to give their feddback when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to write reviews when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...

Ok first of all I want to say Thank you for the opportunity to be interviewed by you Cyracom and second I believe the way they do their assessment are not ok. I applied twice to this company in 2 different times and years and still they didn't hired me, which at the end it's ok. I mean, you cannot have all the best luck when you are searching for a job, especially during this period of time where the pandemic is not helping at all. By saying this I can't believe that out of 20 questions or words I missed 2 and because of that they didn't give me the job. Again, that's fine, but what I'm not ok is that the person. Who was in the other side of the phone first of all had a heavy accent that I couldn't even understand what she was saying, and 2nd they need to understand that not everyone knows the mexican spanish (I'm not trying to be mean or rude) I believe they should understand that YES! People speak spanish but they come from different culture and background and my spanish is not the same as the south America, Central America or Spain just to mention. but it is what it is, they make to seem everything easy but not is not. So, for those who really want to work here just make sure that you know how to translate medical, personal, business statements as well know your ABC's and know the proper word of 20 "easy" vocabulary.
good work place,
Great place to work
I had the opportunity to work for Cyracom, and I usually don't waste my time reviewing the company's I've worked for, because at the end if the day, I choose to work for them. But unfortunately, I think it's important for those who want to apply for this company to understand the amount of workload they are signing up for with the restrictions that come along with the position. The best part of my entire experience was the training. It was fast paced, educational, interesting and challenging. It was great! Anything after that, felt as if I was not supposed to have rights as an employee. Not only are breaks restricted yet the workload is extremely demanding and continuous. The pay is ridiculously demeaning compared to other companies, and the benefits are a joke. Being an interpreter is an amazing job, but for this company, exploiting its employees is a priority rather than focusing on understanding them as human beings. It's no surprise they are constantly hiring and offering incentives- they fail to learn from their irrational policies and mistakes as a corporation and people undoubtedly decide to leave, just like so many of us have. If you want to expand your skills as an interpreter, apply and take the job, because you will be slaving practicing non stop until you decide its time to move on and have a break. If you are genuinely looking for a job in which you can grow as a whole and get well paid? This is not it, I would keep scrolling.
The raters are absolutely not professional, during the phone interview, a month ago even they didn’t know that Dari and Farsi languages are deferent languages. What they do is they just get the interview and report it to their chain of command as negative, and then they hire it from the people who works inside, meaning, for Cyracom. I know people that they are currently working for Cyracom and they used to be my interpreters and I was their lead. But I got field with their phone interview. I have over 10 years experience as an interpreter. A person was talking in a hospital in Houston that he needed a Dari interpreter but they give them a Farsi interpreter that he never heard Farsi accent in his life their interpreter was talking but the guy was asking me that what she is saying. They need to put more focus on raters especially Dari and Farsi because after the interview they report the results negative to their manager or boss, because he already talk to a relative or a family member of himself to hire him or her. Don’t waste your time because the raters are like what I explained.
Professional experience always!
they are always hiring at this place!
Nice
Great place to work.
Good company for translations
Quiet, professional, clean & nice
Wonderful career opportunities
Recently left this job. I suffer from Lupus and need to do frequent bathroom runs where I used the "personal time" which counted againt my shrink and wound up me getting written up. So they asked for documentation on my illness, and when I did bring in documentation CLEARLY stating they did not care. They expect you to be chained to this phone 24/7 and you have to "hold it in" until your break. Which is 12 minutes not 15. Many times the bathroom is under cleaning or repairs because they get clogged so you have to walk out of the call center to the main building to use the bathroom, needless to say 12 minutes is not enough. Their "no phone policy" is ridiculous. If you have a family emergency they have to call a supervisor and let them know. Who knows how long it will be for you to get this message. High turnaround on employee hire. They take on a new training class every 2 weeks. Always starts off with 20-30 people and by the end of the 2 weeks you are left with 8-10. They hyped me with raises and overtime hours, but it never came as all emails of hours to pick up clearly stated "THIS CANNOT PLACE YOU IN OVERTIME." Raises don't come if you get written up or cited for shrink which is always. I do not recommend this company to anyone. Do not work there, you will regret it.
Wonderful call center. Very safe parking lot and security
I currently work here I started as an interpreter then move to client services, you have to wait at least 3 months to apply for a different position. But I do agree that the pay is not that good compare to others it should be more because it can be stressful at times, well at least you move up with the company and not just stay in the same position forever you can grow and exceed.
Nice people great environment!
I was trying to get a job there as a Spanish Bilingual Interpreter. I was called and interviewed on 2 different dates. The second phone interview I had to take a language skill test (Spanish & English) and I am not sure why I didn't get the job because I am Bilingual in Spanish & English, with Spanish being my "First" language! But oh well, I guess it wasn't meant to be. I will keep up my job search.
I had a terrible experience with this company they forced me to resign because I was in contact with someone who tested positive for Covid-19 and told me I could get re-hired after I got tested for covid and the test came back negative so I did, now they are telling me I am not a good fit for the company to rehire me because of their policies with attendance even when they were the ones who made me resign and apply again for the job! What kind of company does that? Also they have no care whatsoever for their employees when it comes to protect them from getting the virus.
The interview process was not what was on the study guide. I don’t recommend working with this company. Please save your time and apply elsewhere.
Is my work place, very eclectic
When friends asked me why I quit this job I always say "because it drained my life" haha and that is because you sit several hours in a 4ft desk with nothing but a screen and a headset. Theres several schedules that you can choose from, you get1, 2, or 3 breaks + a lunch depending on how many hours you are working, decent paid time off decent sick time off, you get most benefits. Shorts are break for the amount of talking you do, especially if you are going for spanish. I've been on the phone for 3hrs straight before. NOT FUN. They are extremely strict with the time mening being late. Add up points against you quickly to give you a bad report meaning no raise. But they hype you up about the raises every 3 months haha It's a decent job to have while you find something better or get on your feet but I wouldn't recommend this as a career.
Good schedules and above all a plus to our community.
Deli located inside the building is the best. Great food and great service.
(Translated) They don't know how to treat employees. (Original) No saben como tratar a los empleados.
(Translated) Translators Headquarters. An excellent service that they provide (Original) Oficina central de los traductores. Un excelente servicio el que proveen
It's a great place to work
There are definitely pros and cons to this company. I recently worked for them, but have since decided to move on. This is a business obviously they are going to want people who adhere to their policies. They are very strict with their times. Every minute that you are late, need to use the restroom, or maybe need a moment to compose yourself. Every minute with be thoroughly questioned and examined. The pay is very low for the type of work. When beginning to work here they mention quarterly raises and performance bonuses even a great employee referral benefit. That all changed even if you manage to qualify for the raise you might get a whole .05 cents. They said performance bonuses are the quarterly raises and the referral benefits has been cut about 75%. But not all of it is bad, so Let’s start with training. You get paid training, they teach you proper skills and protocols. You get a crash course in proper modes, and terminology. You learn a little bit of everything since there’s such a wide range of clients. Throughout the process you will continue to expand your vocabulary.
I work at this place, awesome experience
Nice place to work
It's been outstanding so far, let's see how it further unfurls.
Great working place!
I will Never work for this company again
Professional interpretatiin, highly organized
Great
They called me right back. Very responsive.
Best work place!
Supervisors are lazy and inefficient. the work you do is tedious and boring and have to deal with idiots all day. Save yourselves a headache and severe depression.
I loved working there when I did :)
This company is a joke. The interpreter assigned to our task cane looking for me two days later looking for work. We hired him/her, and when this person told us about he/she was treated we decided never to hire their services and spread the word. They exploit their employees and pay them a miserable rate. Don’t hire them. This person has been with us for a couple of years now. We pay him/her twice as much and has saved us a lot than hiring this awful company.
Great company for interpretation services, good to start your career on Client Services
Great place to work no one messes with you.
Nice company
Keep looking this is a dead end.
Pay only 14
CyraCom is one of the best Languages services, translation, over the phone interpretation, virtual video
ALWAYS Hiring say I referred you Please!!!
Good company to work
Low pay...bad working environment...too much work for such low pay
Good luck on even getting a chance of getting hired! The lady who scores you on your assessment Will never even let you get to your training because she will give you a very low score even if you did pretty good! This is why the company never fills in that position and if it’s filled it does not last long! Give people a chance! Good grief!!! That’s why y’all have training!!! And requires no experience!!!!
The people putting good reviews are people currently working there. I’m guessing they got offered an incentive to do so. You get two breaks and a lunch. If you take “too many” restroom breaks it reflects poorly on your monthly score. You get training for one month. You get a book with medical terms and more. It’s so boring. I guess you’ll enjoy it if you’re not a people person. You can get up and stretch and you have to sit back down. You can’t stand up for long even if you been on a two hour call. The pay is low compared to what they charge the companies calling in for interpreter services.
Can't even use the bathroom without being written up. Horrible company. I pissed myself working there.
Let us start with the main issue, which is very low wages for the type of work required by the Company. Currently, the Company pays $14.50 per hour in exchange for work that should be paid at a minimum of $18.00 per hour. Not only is interpreting a highly skilled job, but it is also very stressful because the Company expects near perfection in each and every interpretation that its employees perform. In addition, employees cannot take breaks when they are scheduled because chances are they will be in the middle of some interpretation. Unscheduled breaks are frowned upon and even questioned if the supervisor starts to see a "pattern" on the part of the employee. For some reason, employees are required to scan their badge, even though there is no need to after another employee already scanned his badge and held the door open for the other employee. Ironically, there is no requirement to scan the badge for exiting. Incidentally, during the time that I was there, new employee badges for the Company did not work to enter or exit the parking lot or the main building. However, they somehow happened to work for entering and exiting the Company's premises within the main building. The only positive aspect of this Company is its training. So, if you are the type of person who arrives late to work, cannot set aside his cell phone, frequently takes restroom breaks, this is not the job for you.
RUN ! Don t work there
