This airport is absolutely gorgeous. It’s small so it’s easy to run to your flight when you’re wee late. The parking lot and drop off/pick up areas are large and nicely organized. It makes it very easy to pick up your family or friends. The best part of this airport is the arrivals section. Passengers come down an escalator to the baggage area. I always make a massive sign for my guests to make sure they feel welcome. As this is a small airport, there is never a crowd so I am always standing alone with a 3’ by 4’ sign welcoming everyone on that flight to Fort Mcmurray.

Sleek, modern design. Shops close too early, but the food is good. Security is slower than average. Although small for an international airport, still a very clean airport that gets the job done.

Straight forward airport. Security is usually quick. There’s an Earls to kill some time before your flight. 6 gates total. Rentals are downstairs. The cars themselves are just across the street. Two baggage carousels (if I remembered downstairs correctly). Easy drop off and pick up.

Haven't had any issues with the airport as of yet, its clean, the staff are professional and due to the size getting around is very easy. One thing to note is that they now close at 11:30 p.m. and open at 3:45 a.m. due to Covid-19.

6:00 pm on a Saturday and there isn't a single food or drink option. Last flight is at 7pm so Earl's has last call an hour before that. "Convenience store" is closed. Not sure if I've ever actually seen it open and I fly a lot. Starbucks is also closed.

Airport is good. Nothing crazy but good. Only complaint is the baggage workers. The bags take longer than other airports to come out and they do not pay attention to bag status. If you are a priority bag you will almost never be the first 10 bags to come out.

Great fast service at earls on a short connection. Certainly far more concerned about making sure passengers are adhering to mask rules than Toronto!!

The security at this airport is completely incompetent. I come on Sundays from a work camp that is secluded and we are treated like terrorists by the security staff. On top of that they are slower than they should be. This is the worst airport in the province, train your people better or fire them.

I fly out of Fort McMurray airport every three weeks and I take an early morning flight. I just think of all the business that is lost from nothing being open like Tim Hortons or Burger King I'm at the airport at 4am there is nothing open till you go though security. And the last six times going though security I have been randomly picked all six times being a forces veteran after 18yrs of service I know the rules and feel like a criminal being search all the time I'm not pleased .

Fort McMurray is a pleasant airport to fly in and out of. Rarely over crowded. Airport and airline staff are all friendly and accommodating. Great viewing area of the apron from the grill to watch arriving and departing flights.
