Terrible service. Got an insurance quote over the phone, signed a form for release of information, and the agent promised they would contact me the following day. Then, absolutely no communication for 3 weeks. Next, a day before the deadline for payment (for a policy I had no clue had been taken out on my behalf!), the agent contacted me to request payment. This agent had poor communication skills and two times after that Westland agents ignored emails and dropped conversations. They were not clear with me on the fees owing once I determined to cancel my policy. Although they apologized, they were clearly not as sorry as they tried to sound as they did not completely waive the fees, charging me a seemingly arbitrary $100 for the trouble they caused. They promised they would contact me once the payment, which I promptly delivered, had been received, but nearly two months later, I have still not received any communication. I warn you, do not even inquire about taking out an insurance policy with Westland Insurance.

Some people rate by how much their policy costs. For me its service. I was hit on the hwy after work heading home damaging my entire drivers side. My claim was immediately started as my agent answered my call immediately while I was still on the accident site after typical working hours. TICK! Claims dept contacted me first thing the next morning, had a rental set up for me at Enterprise, same day had my quote done on the repairs (another fantastic company but not the place to name here ok PROSHINE), the quote was approved in about 24 hrs. TICK!! I was fully repaired and back on the road in less than 3 weeks. 2 new doors, new quarter panel complete paint job no deductible (was not my fault). Truck looking amazing btw TICK!!! There were 2 other vehicles in the accident and I can speak on one only but I had my truck done and back before there vehicle was even started. Could I find a cheaper rate. I am sure. Can I find that same service. I don't know and for me and my family not a risk worth taking to save a hundred a year. BOOM!!!!

A friend tipped me off about Westland insurance during a conversation about the high rate I was paying for my home coverage. I had just purchased home insurance from another company, but my auto insurance was due for renewal so I decided to pop in and see what they had to offer. I will begin by saying this: All three team members I had the pleasure of interacting with in the Dawson Creek branch were by far among the friendliest people I'd ever met, let alone purchased any kind of insurance coverage from. The young lady who helped me was in training, and in her own right did great job! was exceeding pleasant, and maintained a good sense of humour. (even when faced with an uninformed, slightly obnoxious lummox like me) If she hadn’t have mentioned that she was in training I’d have never known, but had to give her a little bit of a hard time once I did. (as is customary in all trainee-based situations) My foolishness was gracefully absorbed with a delicate balance of humour and professionalism. She looked at my former policy, and proceeded tapping away, in an effort to save me a few pesos and earn my business. The other members at the branch were exceedingly helpful, cheery, and informative. The whole experience surpassed all expectations in service and more importantly SAVINGS! I will be transferring my home insurance over to westland as soon as it's due, which, apparently will save me an additional 10%. Cha-Ching! It all adds up! I've given them 5 stars, but would like to petition their web-developer to add a 6th so I could click it! The pleasure was all mine!

Having a leased car that has made it's way all over the country can definitely cause some issues when trying to insure it after ending the lease. Thankfully Sarah, Crystal, and Catherine went through every option to make sure I was able to drive my car in B.C. It was an arduous process for everyone and took a lot of phone calls, but the Westland Dawson Creek team got it done and I can't thank them enough for their effort! I’ve had a really bad experience with Gillons insurance. My family members have had no issues so I don’t understand why?? I would try to speak to an insurance salesperson for several quotes but the administration was not helpful in getting me through to them. I did end up having gillons insurance with one of my older vehicles and I found the prices to be quite expensive for a younger driver. I found better rates from companies two hours away.

I have dealt with Artesian for many years for all my insurance needs. And even though the brokers were changing pretty consistently I always got a call back. I recently called to add a vehicle policy and the woman that answered the phone seemed inconvenienced with having to get paperwork together to get me insurance on my new vehicle. She was more worried about when the office was closing than the new policy I was needing. She thought it was a better idea for me to call my spouse’s broker and add my vehicle to his policy. I even called more than an hour before the office was closing. Super disappointed - will be shopping around for a new broker to move to as Westland does not seem to care about the customer needs.

Ive been with artesian (now Westland) for about 12 years now. I bought a new truck and wanted to switch my insurance over and was quoted an outrageous $185.00 per month. The lady then told me that she could go through another insurance company for $135.00 per month, a lot better. I ask her to get all the paperwork ready so I can switch policies then she tells me she "forgot to tell me about the $400 dollar cancellation fee" and now for some reason my insurance would be a ridiculous $209.78 per month. This brings the total to OVER $800.00 to switch my insurance over. She then tells me that my new insurance company may or may not take 2 months worth of payments out on whatever random date. Absolutely unacceptable considering in my 12 years of driving, ive not even had so much as a speeding ticket. This place is a complete joke.
