To those who find timelines important and depend on the dates, read this: 1 day after the expected delivery date, not receiving my papers, I wrote to them and got to know that they are not promising any timelines, even though '6-7 business days' was stated in their confirmation email, and their conditions when I placed the order. They were not willing to compensate the inconvenience caused by their poor attitude, but just shared their policies where it's stated that they are not responsible for ANY timelines, and just doing their best. Now, 8 business days after I posted my irder, they are not even communicating a new expected delivery date, but it will be another 5-6 business days 'or lengthier', as they said. Bear in mind that your expected '6-7 business days' can turn into anything. In fact they break their promises and contract. PS the delay was totally on their side; it's not a Secretary of State or other external dependencies.

This company acts in bad faith, they get clients from other countries but they do not inform that the rate charged is in US dollars. I am in Australia and they have a call centre with an Australian number so it led me to think they were located here. The price charged is only specified as " $ " they did not specify that it would be US dollars at any time, I just found out when I saw that my card had been charged more than what was stated on the quote. I called them straight away - minutes after the payment and they did not care to help me cancel the order, the person who answered the Australian phone number just said he would talk to the relevant department but I never heard back from him. I sent emails and on the next day I got the reply saying that the order could not be canceled. I tried calling the company many times again but I got no answer either from the Australian or American number. I was almost giving up and accepting to get the service done even having paid more than I expected so I decided to check if the translation would at least be accepted for the Australian purpose I have. To my surprise, I was informed that their " certified translation" which is what I ordered is not necessarily done by a Naati translator which makes no sense. So I called the office in California and Hector Garcia the Account Executive told me the order could not be canceled because it was almost done. I then requested that it was at least signed by a Naati translator otherwise it would be useless for me, he said he would verify it and then get back to me but I did not hear back from him. Now, I got the translation on my email, and the document is signed as "certified" but no Naati number is on the stamps.. it is just ridiculous.. I paid more than $900 AUD for a document that I could have done myself. I am extremely disappointed and feeling that I have been treated like a fool by this dodgy company. After posting this review they contacted me saying I would be provided with a refund. There is been more than 2 months and the refund still hasn't reached my account. I have been trying to contact them by phone and e-mail and they do not answer me.

This guy's are the worst. I payed for a certified translation of my academic transcript and a foreign credential evaluation. I received it with +10 mistakes and typos that I as a non native English speaker caught within 5 minutes. I sent an email and called them pointing them their mistakes and they said they would fix them, 24 hours later I received the document with the EXACT SAME MISTAKES. Finally in their 3rd attempt they made up a date which was not specified on the original document I sent, and when I asked them to fix it, they replied that this couldn't be done as it was ilegal eventhough I sent complementary documents to prove them wrong. Honestly it seems they just type your document into Google translate and copy-paste it. EDIT. Once they find out you gave a negative review they'll reach you out. A executive called me the next day after this review and he said he'll take care immediately and offered me a credit instead of modifying my review. I got my document within 3 hours, modified the review and never heard anything back from them. PLEASE FIND ANOTHER WAY TO GET YOUR DOCUMENTS TRANSLATED, THIS GUYS WILL JUST WASTE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR TIME

I have used their services to translate my university degree, and there are basic errors in the document they sent me (for example, computation has translated it as "communication", which has nothing to do with it, a number with figures in the wrong order). It is assumed that there is 24 hour service, but by calling the Spanish number they offer, they do not answer. (Original) EDIT: han solucionado los errores en menos de un día, pero hay que ser minuciosos revisando el documento resultante. He utilizado sus servicios para traducir mi título universitario, y hay errores básicos en el documento que me enviaron (por ejemplo, computación lo han traducido como "communication", que no tiene nada que ver, un número con cifras en el orden incorrecto). Se supone que hay atención 24h, pero llamando al número español que ofrecen, no contestan.

EDIT: OCTOBER 10, 2021 I've changed my rating from a 0 to 3 stars. They did not respond to my emails but issued a full refund. If you do choose to use their services, GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING, the phone calls are convenient, but BEFORE you confirm the order, ask for it all in WRITING if possible. CALL THEM BACK LATER and add on later otherwise you may be on the hook for the wrong service since their refund policies are lose-lose for you. Be very cautious. ORIGINAL POST: Stay away from this company, the person providing estimates will provide the wrong one, upsell useless services and later on will reject your request to cancel the services because of their poor customer service even though services are still in the estimation stage. They will not leave a paper trail when they call and upsell you or provide additional services. I requested an estimate for 1 document and 1 copy to obtain a total of 2 copies. Someone called me back saying my order does not give me 2 copies, so my actual order should be 1 translation and 2 copies. A month later the sales rep says I ordered a total of 3 copies, which I didn't, but fine, if I didn't have to pay more great. Obviously an estimate of 1translation+2copies seems fishy, but I went along with it. Later they call back saying they also offer notarization services (did not list what kind), and I said ok great, let's add that on so I can skip a step. A month later the new rep says this isn't for notarizing an authentic document, it's for a certifying a true copy, so no that is not useful and thanks for not telling me that on my first call but only after I pay. To which their response is our policies say no refunds. If you send me the incorrect estimate, and sell me the wrong service, I should get my money back. We are in the process of them sending me my 10th incorrect estimate where I have lost my patience. I think their turnover must be very high since I have emailed and been called by different people each time. I've submitted a complaint on BBB and yelp as well. Everyone stay away. BEWARE. It looks like the reviews on their website are fake as you can't find the original site where it was posted. If they call, request written conversations so you can log all their inaccuracies

Following my review below, I received a call from their QA department. It seems that I finally got their attention by exposing my experience as it was harmful for their image. They offered to do a refund if I accepted to modify my review and give them "more stars". I was outraged by the fact that I requested a refund the same day in multiple emails and their response was always negative, but they offered it now that their image is at stake. Fair is fair: They refunded my money so I am taking to time to update this review. It doesn't change the fact that I hit a wall in all my efforts to make them accept their mistake that day, nor the frustration for not receiving in time the document I paid for. But I do give them that they took the time to follow up and refund my money, even if late. I am raising to 2 stars as I did get my refund. I cannot give more than that because I still missed the notary date. They have a terrific rate from other reviewers (that's why I chose them in the first place), I believe that all of them are customers in the United States. It seems that their staff are not very well aware of the international market, and their internal escalation procedures didn't work the day I was complaining. The QA manager advised that it is a lesson learned for them and I hope they will improve their customer experience when getting complaints going forward. ------------------------------------------------------------------ I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. To this day, I have not received the document I paid for, so I had to pay for the translation again to another company in order to be on time for the notary date. I LOST MY MONEY! I chose this company because at the beginning they seemed to be very attentive: they took the initiative to call me to follow up as soon as I requested a quote. I explained that I live in Canada and that I needed the translated document in max 5 days. He confirmed that it would be possible with REGULAR shipping (no extra cost). 2 days after I paid, I received an email indicating that the document was already shipped and it was on its way. The day after, I got another email to say that the regular shipping to Canada would take 3-6 WEEKS, and that I had to pay 5$ for regular shipping as it was not included in the fee I paid. I advised that it was not explained to me by the person who called me, and that I needed that document the same week, not in 6 weeks as the notary date could not be postponed. It is clear that the clerk was only interested in getting my money and lied about the delivery times and fees just to get my business, as it wouldn't be his problem after I paid. Nothing of what I said was enough to get them to assume their responsibility for lying at the initial call. They could have admitted their "mistake" (if it really was so) and pay the express fees so my document would be on time as they promised, but all they did was to ship it regular and wave the 5$ fee (which wasn't mentioned to me from the beginning anyways).

Please never let them translate any documents for you. They won't get back to you at the promised time and now I will need to pay extra to another company to expedite the service. The worst translation company I have ever worked with!

Great communicators, on-time delivery (as far as I was concerned), lowest price, and fantastic outcome. I needed some complex technical/historical articles translated, and not only did they produce clear, readable English, they welcomed my questions and suggestions about how to interpret some difficult words and phrases, even scanning the internet for other examples within the field. The good communication began when I invited them to tender – including an international phone call across 7 time zones to clarify my requirement – and continued through the project. They tendered the lowest price – 20% lower than the next on the list! They then waited patiently for three months while my university approved the spending, and stayed committed to the price despite how long I was taking. There was one small (and to me, unimportant) delay, but when I did finally chase it up, I got a response that day (despite the time difference) and immediate action. My only regret is I have no further work for them.

Reasons I would suggest them: 1) They're fast and have always delivered within the time frame they provided. 2.) They're communication is fantastic! They email you a confirmation and ETA notice after you send your request, and when I submit specific instructions I have received a phone call for clarification. 3.) If you submit a pdf for translation, no matter the design, they will recreate the design with the content translated. If i could give negative or zero stars about this place i would. I sent documents for USCIS translations and paid for a notary and this was an extremely time sensitive request due to having to meet with an Immigration Officer. My request was immediately denied from USCIS due to The Spanish Group's poor lack of communication and not delivering my documents on time as promised. I sent the documents one week in advanced before it was needed and on their website it stated 2 business days for general translations. The Spanish Group did not contact me and let me know that their was issues with my translation due to them not being able to find one for my needs and my translator refused to translate my document. I had to call in various times within the day i was due to receive it until Amy Perez notified me the day after it was due and told me that i should just cancel my translation because it is a hassle and most likely they would not be able to help. I let her know i need this translation and that it was important. She was extremely insensitive to my situation I had to write an email to every distribution group that i found to escalate the request and it was not until it was escalated that my Account manager Daniel Vivanco contacted me regarding my request and he was not able to assist or escalate. Amy Perez also informed me that the CEO seen my request and they were supposed to do everything about it but they kept on pushing it off I was also put on hold various times by other reps and never got back to me because they did not want to deal with my request Shame on The Spanish Group for this and treating their customers like nothing Please do not go here and find somewhere else for your very important translation documents

Their prices are very MISLEADING. I paid $230 for 7 pages to translate from English to Russian. Which according to their website, it’s $30 per page. The same day, their billing employee, Sandra Saenz followed up with an email asking for an extra $142 to complete the translation(apparently, number of words in my documents exceeded what I paid for and it doesn’t say anywhere in their website that they will charge you on top of the $30 per page) I refused to pay extra because I was led to believe that it’s only $30 per page as it was advertised and ask them to cancel my order and give a refund. For which, Sandra responded with generic references to their policy(see the attached screenshots). Overall, the WORST experience, waste of time and money, I wouldn’t recommend this service to anyone. Update: Hector Garcia reached out to me and explained that the email regarding the extra charges was sent to me by mistake. He told me that the translation will be completed without extra charges. When I then asked for a timeline on the fulfillment of my order, they were unable to provide an estimate. I asked for a refund after it became clear days later they could not fulfill my order. They sent me a photoshopped translated picture with a letter, ( $50 )when I use them to translate legal documents, the file mailed to my house in time, unfortunately I didn’t noticed (at the time )that they made a typo with my father’s name and I tried to have them corrected but they didn’t, and requested more money to fix their mistake ($15.99) They pointed that they don’t keep files for more than 6 months and that’s great, but they couldn’t work with my case. Even after noticing that it was their mistake and the file they sent me is useless. I obviously wouldn’t recommend using them, ended up going to a local notary for less than half of the money I paid to this place. Update: I received help and a new translated document after all, review edited.

I wasted time and money trying to get my documents translated. At first, I had paid for the urgent translation service for two documents, they charged me an extra urgent translation fee since they were two documents, so I did. I received the translated document the day after, but then, I had realized that there were errors on my translations. I requested to get them corrected and they charged me another fee for that. I had told them that I needed them urgently several times, and even then, they ignored my request and they took days to translate them. I spent days waiting and ended up receiving the translated documents from another customer. After a few days, I had received same exact translation that they had sent me before. We payed for rush, but ended up having the final documents 24 hours later as the translation kept coming back with mistakes, almost missing out deadline. When we asked to reimburse the extra fee we payed for rush-service, they stated they couldn't do that. Not using this service in the future.

I contracted SPANISH GROUP to obtain a quick one page official translation of a marriage certificate. I was not only impressed at how quickly they responded, but how efficiently and professionally they did the job. First, I could not scan so I had to take an iPhoto of the doc. SPANISH GROUP advised that the copy was not clear but then allowed me to send the phone again. They then took the document, and recreated it so that the English translations has the exact same formats and aspects as the original! Was a pleasure to see such a service.

I had a specific verification form that needed to be signed (no need to translate this form, just a signature). Before ordering the translation, I talked with someone named Hector and he said that it won't cost extra and that I just have to reply to the order confirmation email with the form. I did exactly that and was asked to pay something like $24. I told them that I was told it wouldn't cost extra and that if it does, I would like to cancel the order. They wrote back saying they'll look into this and contact me as soon as possible. I was in a hurry so I waited a whole day and went to a different agency because I didn't hear back from them. I emailed the Spanish Group explaining the situation and asked to cancel the order. No answer. And they went ahead and finished the translation part but I have not heard from them at all.

My husband paid for expedited service and express shipping to Ecuador to present documents to the Ecuadorian government to marry me and they did so in the slowest service available. Then they made a mistake in the date of birth of my husband, so it was rejected by the Ecuadorian government. We emailed the account representative who handled the transaction and she responded saying sorry, someone will contact me. That was almost 2 weeks ago. We called and emailed them numerous times, but they did not respond to emails and did not respond to calls or messages they left on their answering machine. We finally got a response yesterday saying they had mailed it, but they didn't tell me when or where they sent it. Of course they did not respond to that email. I'd give them 0 stars if I could. There are other companies that do it cheaper and faster. Stay away from this company. Their fancy advertising is total nonsense. They will answer your questions before you pay them. After paying them, they don't respond. My husband and I rate this company as the worst. Stay away from this company.

The translation I ordered was not accurate. I requested a translation for an academic transcript to Spanish. I'm already proficient in the language, but needed an official translation as a formality to apply for schools. They sent me a revised one, but I still saw errors in the translation. When I reached out to them again, they said they would handle the issue and then I never heard back. The credential evaluation which was also included in the higher price was poorly done. I've seen much better ones with other companies. Really dissatisfied. Clearly there are unqualified translators working in this company, but this is on the company with their poor attention to quality.
