Excellent waffles and bubble tea

5 stars as always. The food here doesn't leave you over stuffed or feeling hungry. It satisfies you just the right amount. The food's flavors all meld together in perfect harmony, no flavor is fighting another for dominance. It's just one big happy family of flavors. 10/10 If you don't eat here at least once you are doing yourself and your tongue a disservice.

Very friendly owner . She was helpful and answered my questions even though she looked and was busy. A baby and a business to juggle and still smiling . Bubble Tea was alright not the best I have had . First time I went they were out of Tapioca Pearls so I tried a non gluten choice that the flavor and texture was too much after more than one sip so I decided to try again I went back and had another with the Pearls which were a little mushy for my liking. I have only tried the MilkTea. Will try a Fruit Blend next time before I decide whether I will make it a regular stop. **Edit The whistling waffle is my go to for Bubble Tea. The owner is quite amazing and goes above and beyond in her interactions with customers. Plus there is the waffles. Their waffles are perfect YUM!

Food is fairly good. Had the chicken and waffles. Portion was kinda small and the waffles were a bit dry. The problem for me was the dining area. It’s not very inviting and it was freeIng cold. Everyone had to keep their jackets on to try and stay warm. There’s definite potential here though.

Great idea for breakfast and lunches using waffles in the place of different bread products. Food was good, had one of the many eggs Benedict options. Lots you can add to meals. The only thing that might need improvement is the decor and making it funky and unique, right now there isn't much atmosphere. ie. It would be cool if they hung all different waffle irons all over the walls from different eras and manufacturers, or something related to their theme.

Staff was friendly and welcoming with excellent service. Amazing breakfast/brunch/lunch find. Think breakfast diner with a twist. Had sweet waffle dish and savory waffle dish. Clean, simple flavors with good variety of menu choices. Will be back.

Amazing! Haven't been since first opened back by willows market , Amazing!! Got Boba slush I got Green apple with mango pearls and pineapple jelly Mom got coconut milk with lychee pearls and mango jelly (Angry birds lids were cute aswell) Hope to try the waffles soon :)

Last Sunday my son and I decided to go have breakfast in Campbell River. One and a half frustrating hrs later we found Whistlin Waffle was open. We wanted to avoid fast food and support local business but everywhere we went was closed except Ideal Cafe which had a huge line up outside. Once we ordered our food its was awesome, staff were happy, friendly, with quick attentive service. Recommend the traditional eggs benny on a waffle. Big thank you to the owners and managment and staff for being open on a Sunday and doing what it takes for their patrons to support local non fast food... Walkn the walk, not just talk.

Wasn't expecting much to begin with, since using waffles as a gimmick for a restaurant already says a lot about their low effort, but I was still let down. The food was horrible and the service just wasn't comforting whatsoever. Both my partner and I had our waffles delivered cold. My dish came with hashbrowns on the side, and those were also cold. Not the kind of temperature where the food is waiting for a while, but it moreso felt like they had a bulk amount just sitting there, and then put it on my plate. We got our food quite fast after ordering, so it should've been hot, right? But both our waffles were that same temperature, as though they had been sitting there before we came into the restaurant. The waffle poutine we were served was hot, but that might've just been because they used recently made gravy. Although that item was hot, it was extremely low quality. Pre-shredded cheese you buy in bags at Walmart, as well as the "water and powder" gravy. All the food was extremely lazy and the whole "waffle house" gimmick doesn't excuse for poor food. There is a difference between wholesome and nostalgic "home style" food versus just lazily put together premade bought ingredients and upscaling the price.

The food is quite good and they feature a decent variety. The only main complaint is the wait. They seem to have a small staff and limited equipment so you'll have to expect a wait. We went in a busy day and we waited almost 50 minutes for our food. We weren't in a rush which helped but if you are, I wouldn't recommend this for lunch on a work day if you are wanting to order food. However if you want bubble tea or a drink to go, you can get something rather quick if you want that as an alternative.

Great place to get delicious waffles with a variety of different toppings. They also do Eggs Benny various different ways. They even serve bubble tea. This place was once located in Willow Point across the street from Discovery Foods but now according to a sign posted on their door back in July, They were going to be moving to the old Fusilli Grill located in the same shopping complex as Subway and Pizza Hut (220 Dogwood Street).

We went to whilstin’ waffle today, we arrived at 12:10pm and were promptly seated but no one came by to get our drink orders. After we were there for about 10 minutes, the server came by the get the drink orders and left again. After the drinks were delivered I asked for an order of Edemamme. 20 minutes later, I had to go to the front counter to ask for our orders to be taken as no one came by. They took our orders and informed me they were out of edemamme but did not offer anything else. After about 30 minutes of waiting for our food, we were debating whether or not to leave and go elsewhere but instead asked the server how long it would take for our food. We were told it was “coming right out”. Our food was finally delivered at 1:25pm, over an hour after we arrived and 45 minutes after we placed our order. From the time we got there to when our food arrived, 3 tables had been seated, orders were taken and they had eaten and left. One table of 4, one table of 2 and one table of 8. We were a table of 3 and we ordered nothing special or off the menu. When I went to pay, I paid the full amount and complained afterward to the owner. He said “I’m not in charge of the food, she makes the food as she sees fit.” His other excuse was that they are the only small restaurant in town open today. He did absolutely nothing to remedy the situation. The food there is always great and was great today as well, however the service was not. I will not be eating here again.

Now here the spot. The owners are amazing. It was ourbgod sons 17 birthday. He has down syndrome. The owners made him a waffle with whip cream and ice cream with a sparkler and it made his day. He is still talking about it. Thanks so much. The food for us was also amazing.
