Pre-pandemic, went here with elderly parents. Dad couldn't manage the rough path & had to stay at the car. Now there is an accessible path to the lookout! History boards were very informative. Thanks!

What a stunning view with a short from the parking lot. This little location is north-east of Toronto and just south of Algonquin Park. I recommend coming here for the fall colours as you can get some nice shots, as well enjoy a stunning view.

Beautiful place to go for a hike. Trails are easily accessible. Parking is limited, especially late in the day. Easy Hiking opportunities. Incredible views and amazing sunset from the look out.

Stunning autumn ???? leaves ???? lookout!! Road up to parking lot & trail is absolutely horrible!!! Once at the trailhead, the hiking is wonderful! Vistas just crying out for a photographer! Washroom/pit toilet is available at the trailhead. When in the Bancroft area & if you fancy a hike... go here!! ????????????

Great place for a hike and some awesome views. Driving up and down is a bit steep but with improvements to the trails it's very easy hiking.

Always looked up from Tim Hortons at cliffs.. first time looking down.. worth the hill climb (in car) to see vise versa.. easy trails to Eagle nest. But get a bit off main trail (safely) you will see much more

Easy parking. Jerry on the job. View not really that exciting but trails are nice and well maintained. Signage and info excellent. Good for quick walk to stretch your legs. Some trails longer but the mosquitos were bad when we were there. August.

Very easy little hike, and a beautiful view from the top. Normally not crowded at all, and mostly flat along the way after the drive up. If you start walking from the main road - then its a crazy hike, I would suggest driving.

Beautiful view of Bancroft from the look out. In the past couple of years, there have been some fantastic changes and maintenance. There are now handicap accessible port-a-johns available. The trail maintenance and addition of benches makes the trail to the lookout more enjoyable for someone with physical limitations.

Fantastic views, great trails. Upgrades are very nice with grants. Took our Uncle there just before Thanksgiving 2 days in a row, as he loved it so much. The sun was out. Great job on the upgrades. To the few visitors who fail to use the garbage cans.... please use them, or don't come for a hike. Trash along the trails, takes away from the beauty.

Beautiful spot to break up a long drive. We caught the end of the fall colours and there's a Tim hortons close by to get a coffee before you walk. Bathrooms were clean and there was lots of parking. Perfect spot for the dog to stretch his legs too!

A good place to get in touch with nature, it has several trails that are very easy to access and easy to follow. its levels of demand are minimal for those who are not used to walking a lot.

Have many wonderful memories here but couldn't visit on May 23, 2021 as the town (or township) had blocked/barricaded the road just off Hwy 62. WHY? It's an outdoor location, easy to social distance, etc!

Thanksgiving 2020 - busy day. Paths are not difficult to walk. There is a 2 level look out stand. 2 levels of parking lots.

Great views! Road up is horrid! Going at night for nighttime photography of the stars is bad as they light up the main face and make good nighttime photograph nearly impossible.

Good view and clean area, the top was closed for construction so we had to climb the entire path, about 1km and very steep. Need to be fit to climb, otherwise if the car can go up, then its a short walk to the top.

Such a beautiful lookout to see the beautiful town. Lots of hills, York river to be seen from top. Very easy hike as car goes till the top. Follow yellow trail if want simple easy hike/ walk to the lookout. Fairly easy. Purple trail is also very nice and adds fun going through hilly path. Totally love the place. Free parking. Must visit if in Bancroft or around.

Stunning view from the lookout. The trails through the forest are easy and well marked. There are many plaques along the trails that draw your attention to the wonderful flora and fauna surrounding you. In the parking lot, and at the lookout, the history of the Algonquin peoples and the geological history of the area are told in a clear easy to understand manner. Very informative and beautiful.

Nice but easy hiking trails and a good lookout. Although, in the pic you can't see the huge gass station and store that are down below now that it's more built up.

I wanted this to be more exciting. The view was less than impressive and very short walking trails, I'd hardly call it a hike. Only worth the stop if you are in the area.

Spectacular views with near peak fall colours! Spectacular views any time of year! Low number of people and everyone was practising social distancing! Parking and rails have been upgraded since I last visited in 2018. Great new information signage kiosks.

Absolutely beautiful view!! If you’re going in April, May or June, definitely bring bug spray! The “hike” is more like a walk, but definitely accessible to those who are older, have small children or slight mobility issues. Bring a car that isn’t too low to the ground either! The parking can be limited if visiting at peak times. Definitely recommend. ???? I’m sure in the fall it is completely breathtaking.

The beauty of Fall in all it's glory are on full display. Level trail & ramp to access the viewing deck makes this accessible to all. A must see when in Bancroft. A gentle reminder to hold onto your snack wrappers, cups & pack out t any other potential garbage back with you so all can enjoy this pristine beauty.

Must checkout place if you are in Bancroft. You can spend 5-10 mins or much longer. Offers many trails of moderate to difficult levels. If you are lucky you’ll get to see Eagles.
