I suggest they should improve customer service especially the front end in mumford branch. They are just so busy in their computers and doing nothing even don't have time to say hello or bye to the guests or passers-by. I think might be they scientists at wrong place.???? Isans should let the new immigrant feel comfortable and go extra mile to help, not only some basic tips etc because that is available on the internet as well. Please new immigrants are NEW here so guide and comfort them Atleast.

They really help people and are always available when immigrants need advise, when looking for a job, languaje issues, they help us to get the hang of living in Canada and give us the oportunity of volunteering. As an immigrant I found in ISANS a place where I could go and feel comfortable speaking, they really make a big effort to understand us, they listen to us and they know that maybe we have another way to explain things in English but they are so respectful and have a lot of patience. I really appreciate all what ISANS do for us to make us feel like this is our home. Thank you.

ISIS provides an incredibly helpful and essential service to immigrants arriving and settling in in Halifax/Nova Scotia. I have worked here as a volunteer for some years. I keep wondering how different my own family's settling in to NS could have been back in the 1970s before ISANS was established.

If you are a new immigrants to Nova Scotia, this is the place to visit. All services are free for new immigrants and include settlement support, employment support, community supports, language and computer training, industry specific training, business setup support, and lots more. Please note you have to be an immigrant and can't be someone on a visitors visa or an international student.

You really need to have a bigger heart to embrace an outsider who would pray on your resources. Knowing the fact, those outsiders may not appreciate your culture and contaminate it with their own believes and practices. You really do need to have a bigger heart to share your home with some unknown! "ISANS is one such place" I have not traveled the whole world yet, but can very confidently say that the Canadians have one of the most beautiful hearts in the whole world and there is a lot to learn from these people. We all should feel obligated to the fact that the safe shelter which our motherland couldn't provide us is provided by Canada. Have a little heart to contribute for what you have been given and specially be loyal to this land. <3 I am so thankful to ISANS for all their support and helping me find a safe HOMELAND.. :)
