The Language Bank translation service proved to be very disappointing. I got a translation full of errors that I spent hours correcting myself and when I provided feedback, I was informed that it was my "language preferences". The accountability just wasn't there. In fact, some errors were as basic as incorrect postal codes. I was also advised that it's the process to have a paying customer go through the draft translation and approve it - what if the translation was from a language I did not speak? Then I wouldn't even know there were errors in the translation. The customer service was also lacking - it was tone deaf, did not recognize my frustration with the service provided and I went ignored for weeks at a time. I used Language Bank services in the past and I was satisfied, but after my last experience I never will again.

I called to translate a few stamps in my passport that are not in English or French. I was quoted $295. This is not acceptable AT ALL. This place is an NGO!Yet, they charge prices that are unbelievable. All the immigrant centers all over Canada have certified translation FOR FREE. This place should be there to help immigrants improve and succeed, yet what it does is rip them off. How’s the government not holding these people accountable for this? How will an immigrant pay $300 for a page worth of translation that they can do themselves easily, and it takes them less than 15 mins!

Very happy with the work done by the translators. Very professional work. It is super easy to send your documents on their website and receive a quote. The price is very competitive, and it is worthy as I received the electronic package with the affidavit, translation and original copy of my document certified and stamped. They say it takes them 5-7 business days but their turnaround time is actually quicker. I highly recommend ISC for the translation services., and definitely will come back in case I need their services again.
