SCAMERSSSS!!! my friend worked for them 6 months. She was so naive to believe that will eventually pay her.they tell you you wont get paid for the first 2 months but after the 2 months they never answer or reply to emails. I m not sure how we can report them so they wont be taking jobs from companies and stop scaming people

I have worked for them as a freelance translator and interpreter. I have never been paid for my assignments. My requests were ignored and my emails were not returned. I had to take the matter to SCC and cooperated with CBC news to investigate this agency. Whether you are a potential client or a freelancer, please DO STAY AWAY from this dishonest and unethical business.

We booked Able for CBI appointment and the translator never showed up. The company is extremely unreliable. Just look at the reviews; they are scamming poor translators and haven’t even paid them yet.

Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service from an allegedly professional service provider. I had an appointment booked for a translator, with a confirmation number - no one showed up. I called the office - I was told I would get a call back - 20 minutes later, no call. I called again - the same lady told me she had called me back but when I told her I was sitting with my phone in hand, she then changed her story to "she was busy" so hadn't called yet. That is the response when I was sat waiting. In the meantime, my client is being billed for the time. I asked for a manager & spoke with Operations Manager, Tanya Mattos, who offered absolutely ZERO consideration or accountability. I suggested that in light of their error perhaps their bill could be reduced if we rescheduled - she flatly refused. I asked her where their accountability was and received dead silence - I asked her what Able Translations would do to help rectify the situation & her answer was "we apologize". I suppose the silver lining is that this wasn't a trial or court matter that would have to be postponed due to their ineptitude. I will NOT be using this service again & fortunately I know a large number of people in my industry with whom I will be sharing my story.

Head up! This company is scaming translators/interpreters. Do not expect you will get paid in 60 or 90 days! Read the CBC news-Toronto for details. Not supposed to get one star rating.

Terrible! I asked for a quote and they could not get me a quote in 3 weeks!! Even the documents were 2-3 pages with a few sentences. Finally, I cancelled my request. If getting a quote takes several weeks, I wonder how long it takes for translation!

Unbelievable!! I am a professional who has used Able Translations in the past with success. Now I'm getting absolutely lousy customer service, and the interpreters are unreliable. Not sure what to do now because I often need an interpreter!!
