That was an amazing experience. The observatory visit is a must for anyone curious about the stars in the sky. Very well presented and interactive. The only issue for us was that the weather worsened after 2 hrs bringing our evening to a close. We also stayed at their sky bubble. Glamping at its best. With a clear view of the sky during the night, it was amazing to sleep under the stars. They also have a BBQ, you can use, free snacks and kayaks to use. We only stayed for a night but could have easily stayed another night or two. Well worth the visit even if it's a long trip that you have to make.

This was a fantastic experience! When we arrived it was overcast, so we weren't hopeful about seeing stars or anything else. But, just at dusk the sky cleared. Though there was a full Moon, we had fantastic views through the telescope of the Moon, Jupiter and Saturn. ITim was awesome... His enthusiasm is infectious. ???? I'd do this again in a heartbeat.

Tim is a really friendly guy, I can highly recommend visiting his observatory. He's very knowledgeable and the land around the observatory is gorgeous, make sure you stop in here, it's absolutely worth the trip.

The Deep Sky Eye Observatory is run by Tim and his wife, developed through a personal interest in astronomy. My husband and I did the night sky experience along with staying one night in one of the bubbles with a clear ceiling to the night sky. It was an enlightening and wonderful experience. We got an overview of some of the dark sky efforts being undertaken in Nova Scotia, interactive overview of astronomical concepts and constellations in the sky, as well as visualizations of some astronomical features through the automatic telescope. We got clouded out of the in-person telescope session, but the night cleared up once we were in the bubble and had a gorgeous view of the night sky (stars, Milky Way!) all night. Several other amenities are included if you're staying in the bubble - kayak, propane BBQ, and fireplaces. The washrooms are kept clean as well. The bubble was equipped with plenty of extra blankets and a heater to keep warm as it gets chilly in the evening. Overall, this is an amazing experience, highly recommended to anyone considering it!

The experience was mind blowing, not only a beautiful experience but a learning one. The bonfire add on was great and appreciated as it gets chilly, blankets or sleeping bag would help with the chilly evenings! Tim even had some blankets for those who forgot! Pictures after were amazing.

One of the best experience of my life . 10/10 worth to do . We stayed in the Sky Cabin and it was super clean and Tim and Amanda were extremely helpful and hospitable . Only stayed for 1 night, wished we stayed for longer. Tim has great knowledge about the stars and planets and for the first time , I have seen Jupiter and Saturn through my own eyes. Amazing 10/10

What can I say I am absolutely blown away. Tim's story is so inspiring that I wish I could just learn to become more like him. He is extremely kind, but also what I love most about my entire experience is learning from him about the universe and what we see in our night sky. I learned a lot of new things here even though I consider myself pretty well educated in astronomy, and he showcased many new perspectives. He gave us an entire presentation that was not only a magical experience as he walked us through the night sky but also an enlightening one about the mysteries in our universe. I haven't even talked about the accommodation yet which is also spectacular, it's not something I have ever seen and being able to look up and see the stars would be phenomenal. Unfortunately we had a little bit of bad weather but we still got to see the milky way and everything. I couldn't more highly recommend staying here if you are coming to Nova Scotia or Halifax. This was a once in a lifetime experience I will never forget. Thank you so much for making this all possible Tim!

My wife and I had a wonderful time with Tim during the observatory session. Although it was cloudy in and out, Tim did his best to be as informative as possible and shared tons of details about our universe. Really eye opening experience about his story and resiliency which he shares with everyone. Most importantly we could see the Milky Way with our naked eye there by just looking up! Truly wonderful experience we recommend to everyone!

One of the best and most convenient places for stargazing. I enjoyed every single minute of the observatory, with comfy chairs where you can relax and see all the stars on the the sky. Tim was professional and informative and his success story was very inspiring. I will definitely visit this observatory again.

A fun and educational experience. The weather was a bit foggy but with a good portion of the sky clearing up we were able to make the most of it. Got to see some amazing things through the telescope for the first time. Very accommodating and friendly. Highly recommended!

The deep sky eye observatory tour and the sky bubble stay is a wonderful experience. The presentation start at 8h30 p.m. so staying there make the trip perfect, easier. A wonder to discover in Nova-Scotia. Tim story and work is so interesting. An inordinary wonderful experience in the nature. If you are thinking to stay, one night is what I recommend.

Staying at Deep Sky Eye was an unforgettable experience. We booked for one night accommodation at the Sky Bubble (2 guests) and the Nocturnal Sky Theatre experience. Being able to see the night sky while lying in a soft bed was such a unique experience. The sky bubble was spacious and had a heater/aircon, a small table and chairs, a double bed, and bedside tables. Free wifi is available, although it can be a bit spotty, so we were given a walkie-talkie to communicate with Tim/Amanda, the owners. Although it did get a bit chilly at night, it was very warm and cozy in the bubble. The Nocturnal Sky Theatre experience was very enjoyable and we learned a lot from both Tim and Brenda. We even got to see very clear images of the craters of the moon through a telescope. Deep Sky Eye is a must visit if you want a unique experience, a chance to see the night sky away from the light pollutions of the cities, and to learn more about the stars, galaxies, and constellations. Some tips: -Bring blankets or a jacket if you’re doing the Nocturnal Sky Theatre experience as the temperature can drop pretty drastically -Bring a pair of binoculars, if you have one, to see the night sky more clearly -Explore the grounds, there are many picturesque locations on the grounds with hammocks, chairs, and fire pits available

What a cool experience ! Although we did not have the clearest of skies on the night we went, we downloaded the constellation apps as recommended and had a great time! As hosts, Tim and Amanda were very friendly and personable. What they have created here is very well organized, creative and unique. Highly reccomend if you’re making a weekend trip to Yarmouth.

Such an incredible and unique experience! We stayed in the Sky Bubble for one night and are already planning a return trip. Our sleep under the stars was magical. The Nocturnal Sky Theatre Experience was awesome - seeing Jupiter and Saturn with such clarity was beyond words. Tim and Amanda were such great hosts - the muffins in the morning were an added bonus :) We will definitely be back!
