Pretty little park, with some nice trails to hike. Some of the trails lead close to a factory that can be quite loud and smell disgusting, which ruins the natural ambiance though.

Fantastic place to walk or go for a paddle. Do not go into the water swimming, it is not good. Do not eat fish from this bacteria filled swamp! Other than that its a great place to get some exercise.

My opinion would apparently not be shared by other nature lovers. This park is now and perhaps at least for the past year has declined considerably to the point that it is a disgrace. Random graffiti which I'm sure is impossible to control is prolific even on walking paths and trees. Parking area Guardrails seems never to have been repaired. A qualified arborist should prioritize culling of the mature trees that have just been left I suppose to rot on their own. Kudzu vines are rampant, and they gain momentum when left unchecked. I haven't even mentioned the parking area. I am well aware it is all about money. Responsible individuals will need to come up with some solutions pretty quickly or this blessing soon will reach the point of no return. Thank You, Charles Jensen Woodstock resident...

Nice park overall. Great off leash area for the dogs. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because there was more than one dog turd in the off leash area. Seriously people remember to stoop and scoop.

We go primarily for the dog park. It's smaller but my dogs can still stretch their legs. We really enjoy it.

Watch out for fast bikes. Some use their bells and some don't know. Yes dead fishy smell along the lakefront as others had mentioned. Nice pine forest lined the pathway. Tick warning signs and poison ivy in the area. Hey its all natural! Enjoy it!

Well I'm bias because Roth Park is in my back yard, recently the parking lot was replaced with new pavement. Really nice to see some improvement to the parking so people can access the park and take advantage of this fantastic walking trail. Big thumbs up from Dennis & Tina

This park has lots to offer from fishing to row boating so much more at this park Roth Park has a lot to offer in any of the four seasons. There is lots of trails for anything in Roth Park you can walk run bike ride skateboard rollerblad rollerskate scooter on the pavement paved trails through the trails path. On the other side of Roth Park you can see on the opposite side of the water is Pittock Lake camping grounds. This is also a great place to watch fireworks from at Roth Park looking over Pittock Lake at night with the lake and the tree's comes the bug's. Make sure before going to Roth Park to put on any Sunscreen SPF lotion and to use bug spray and to carry any after bit along also with you while at the park. I enjoyed going to the park to walk the trails path get some extra sun get exercise by rollerblading. I like how Roth Park is while known and almost everyone who is from Woodstock has already been to this park there is parking available no cost for parking. The park is large and has lots of different trails path to get you to wherever you want to see and do whether you love to fish by the beige or underneath it or just like to walk down your own path its up to you. Roth Park has washrooms available on site in the camping ground style building. The well maintained forestry greens to the beautiful different varieties of all the flowers. There is also bus stops located near by where you can catch the city of Woodstock bus on either side of the street by the Roth Park enterence off the trails path.

I come here for the dog park/trail walk, the dog park is always empty but when it isnt the dogs are not very friendly and my dog ends up getting hurt/attacked. Love the trail walks always tires my pup out and the view is so pretty.

Walked the trail at Roth Park and was overcome by a terrible dead fish smell. This happened in a couple of different spots. It made the walk very unpleasant. It was a "still" day; might be better if there's a breeze.

I grew up going to this park, the trails and ponds but it's gone down hill, maybe it's just me getting older but it just doesn't seem that family friendly anymore.

Gorgeous spot to go for a walk, explore nature, and enjoy the views! It's quite a popular spot, especially for those walking their dogs. Very clean area with many trails and spots to relax by the water. The trails are pretty well maintained. I brought my son here for about an hour. He had a blast exploring the trails and tossing fallen branches into the water ????!

It's a fairly average park but it's hosting of a great trail system, an off leash dog park, and lots of parking for the Woodstock Dragon Boat Club elevate it a star in this review. If the City of Woodstock wants to receive a 5 star rating, repave the parking area and entry road, it's in need of repair.

There is lots of trails paved and dirt. There is a dog park a dam and lots of fishing spots. Nice place to spend a few hour and there is also a picnic area located there as well with public washrooms. Accessible for all ages and capabilities.

I've been going here since I was a very young child. For biking, hiking, running rollerblading, building forts, sledding (in the winter). This place makes woodstock worth living in. I hope it stays exactly how it is forever.

We walked mostly on the paths through the tall pine trees. There is a long paved trail to walk or bike on also. Beautiful view of the lake along the paved path. We spent a little more than an hour walking the trails. Drove from London to do this. It was worth to drive!

The park is alright. People are terrible at picking up after their dogs though. Some other dog parks have hose bibs and a bowl for the dogs to drink at and trash bins to encourage people to pick up after their dogs. That would make this park better.

Ruth park is a nice place to walk your dog. It's *usually* full of nice people and the leashless dog park is a fun place for your dog to be free and run around. There's a paved trail and it's heads two opposite directions. There's also a dock in the summer. Careful with letting your dog swim here though, not sure how clean the water is unfortunately. :/

Went to walk the Trail......it is a rail trail....mostly straight and flat - at least the small section we started on: we made it to a road and there was no signage showing where to pick up the trail. Looked around a little then gave up and went back the way we came and returned to the car. (about 3k total). Path is shared with cyclists - and I don't know if the day we went (Sun Fathers Day) is typical....but it was VERY busy with cyclists. Dogs on leash allowed. Motorized vehicles and Horses are not. Area we did walk was very picturesque along the River and there was a ton of people fishing.....so if you fish....you may want to bring your gear!
