Way better than the "other beach" other side of the lake!
A great place to go for a walk and enjoy the lake.
Very beautiful! Good place for BBQ and family time!
Very nice place to visit and hike.
Very good park located close to Winnipeg. Excellent for biking and walk beside the beach. The beach is great for swimming. Good place for a 1 day outdoor.
This is a quaint old town snuggled on the shores of Lake Winnipeg. Have visited many times and every time it is a delight. We were with people who were camping at the Provincial camp ground. Enjoyed the time there and we had pizza at the local Pizza shop. Food was excellent, the owner is a jovial gentleman who makes great Za. We will return throughout the summer for more enjoyment.
Camping sites are wide open and not very well treed. Each men's washrooms only have one urineal and one toilet, per building. Way to small for a camp ground of that size. Also the showers are separate from the washrooms, so you have to get fully dressed to exit and go to the washroom to finish shaving & combing your hair. In the men's washroom there's no hooks to hang your towels, toiletry bag or clothes. The town of Winnipeg Beach is quant and the boardwalk is beautiful. The sand on the beach is gravely but the view is fantastic.
Not sure I was in the park but I was at Winnipeg beach. Great service at a local eatery.
Winnipeg beach provincial campground is really good. Sites are level, and paved pathways. Overall good experience.
Nice quiet place to relax, lots of places to walk
It was so nice put there. I brought the dogs to the dog beach and they had a blast running up and down the shore.
Beautiful and Picnic Site. Place to visit with Family and Friends. Clean Beach Side and Side Walk Road. Well Maintained and Decorated. Lots of Space for Camping and enjoying with family and friends. Close by Markeet and lots of parking space. Easy to approach and close to Winnipeg.
Beautiful beaches, warm water, all you need in the town.
Great Sandy Beach...Had a great fun and nice time with the family , the beach is clean and well maintained and scenery is fascinating. About 1 hour drive North of Winnipeg is this lovely beach and nice little town. Had a walk on the boardwalk from the Watertower down to the Marina. Beautiful Scenery...
The grandstand August 2021
It's a nice beach near winnipeg city, easily accessible from winnipeg, life guards are ther for safety of the public, washrooms available on the beach. Nice local restaurants are 100 meters from the beach, free parking is available nearby
It is a wonderful location to visit with your friends and family. I found a bench dedicated to all the lost children......
Clean and well kept, lots of grassy areas to unwind. Nice place to spend a warm sunny day. Watch out for sharp stones underfoot on the beach though!
Definitely newer and quieter than many provincial campgrounds. All roads inside the campground are paved but there's not much privacy between campsites. It tends to get extremely windy during inclement weather but the sites are level and there are many full serviced and pull-through sites available. Great place for walks on the Boardwalk and there are a few smaller fast food joints in town. The beach is pretty rugged with lots of big rocks and sharp stones. Better suited to adult campers looking for a quiet weekend away in their RV or camper.
Looks really nice after they fix the beach and walk ways all up I would spend the day there now it is cleaned up
The beach was a bit rocky and slimy underfoot till you got into the water aways. Other than that, it was a nice, low key Beach right in front of town, with a nice boardwalk. There was more beach of to the right on the other side of the water tower, but I'm not sure how to get there, and if it has nicer sand..
Great place, even when you go during a thunderstorm - it's nice and quiet around the beach. Maybe not too recommended.
Took a stroll down part of the shoreline during the spring thaw. Beautiful to see.. sand ice, snow, and water all at once! Amazing time of year to witness before the beach actually opens!
Nice little walking trail along the beach and park. Not a real boardwalk as it once was, now a proper cement path.
It was good. Very nice area and the restrooms were very clean. Easy 5 stars.
Such a great place to return to year after year. A great place to unwind and enjoy the beautiful scenery, walk the boardwalk and take in the local restaurants. Lake Winnipeg never disapoints with it's vast beauty. The water is warm and clean. Highly recommend this little gem in the heart of Manitoba.
I drove an hour to get to this beach from Winnipeg under the impression it was a dog friendly beach. My dog loves to swim and the Lake is relatively safe for her to swim in. I figured would be a nice treat for her. I get to the beach and we have a swim and she likes to run in water so was starting to run along the shore. I then noticed 3 people with fishing gear set up in the middle of the beach and pull out Live bait and pickerel rigs and hooks and toss them into the water about 10 feet from shore. These fisherman are allowed to fish here and I needed to leash my dog in case she crossed paths with the fishermen. I will not return to this beach.
Beautiful place for a picnic
Even in a pandemic Winnipeg Beach is a sanctuary to enjoy being outdoor.
Nice place for outdoor activities and nice weather kids Nd young peaple definitely love this place good for boating
Friendly people. Nice beach and restaurants.
A short drive from Winnipeg and you can feel like you are on a real getaway. Good restaurant options in the summer. Not much open in the winter.
Great RV campground. All sites are full service. Close to restaurants and other shops. The beach is nice but not great.
Great little beach to drive to in a hot day. The small town is quaint and delivers some interesting "dives" to try out delicious foods! They also offer a dog beach!!!
Lots of places to eat, great beach, arcade for the kids, lifeguards, dog beach, camping, no fee to enter park. There is nothing to not love about Winnipeg Beach. There are also bands that play regularly along the boardwalk. It is also an added bonus that it is only 45 minutes from the perimeter hwy.
Locals were arrogant ,prices were extraordinarily high, facilities were non exsistaint but if you found one they were filthy even for my dogs standards.best to just throw your cash out the window and stay home to avoid the disappointment.
Haven't been to Winnipeg Beach, beach, in many years. Really enjoyed it. Sand was very nice. Wasn't overcrowded. Close enough for day trips.
Huge beach with beautiful sand and little shops around that you can get ice cream or snacks at.
It was a blast from the past loved it
Winnipeg Beach is a small quaint town on the shores of Lake Winnipeg. A nice sandy beach only a few steps from the main street eateries. A good place to relax on the beach on a hot sunny day.
Nice dog beach.
Did day trips here a couple of times. Nice place to visit in the summer. There are a number of interesting shops and restaurants on the road near the beach (and further out). Would like to stay a night someday at the hotels or campground. There's a lighthouse nearby if you're interested in the photo-op. Note that dogs are not allowed on the beach/sand area. You would have to go to the adjacent dog beach.
The new sea wall and updates to the park provide a clean relaxing place by the water.
Great beach, with access to all amenities you could want/need.
We have a cottage right close to downtown Winnipeg Beach, so we're here all the time. The waterfront is enjoying a Renaissance with tons of live music, fun games and more people than I've seen for years.
I think this place peaked before WW2. If you get a chance, look up the history of the moonlight express and Winnipeg Beach. Amazing! In the present day it looks like this little beachside town is struggling against the ghosts of the past and ballooning costs of the future. I realize there are lots of nostalgia fueled family memories being recaptured here, but to an outsider it seems like nothing more than a rundown boardwalk and an overcrowded, lackluster beach. I admit I really love the character of the arcades,
Pretty nice Beach to swim, although I would recommend Gimli beach instead which is about 30km from here.
Great weekend and all the enmities you need to eat and drink and stay am returning again in the summer big time
It's a nice walk along the waterfront where you can either stop and catch some rays or grab a meal in town. Nice area
So exciting to find another dog friendly beach, with easy access and close to the town amenities.
I took my dog here and there is a dog friendly beach side! He loved it, have been here a few times with him after and he just loves swimming now.
Went during Winnipeg Beach Days. The Sabbath cover band was #Prettygood. Fireworks were surprisingly well done.
A good place to camp, swim and bond with nature. You can take nice pictures of the scenery. The only bad thing about this place is their public washroom so w/ their revenue this year, I hope they can improve on that next summer.
The beach looks fabulous, the water is warm yet refreshing and there are plenty of animals such as pelicans to be spotted nearby. Camping grounds, picnic tables, public restrooms, small shops and restaurants are only a few feet away from the beach.
Awesome view, big lake
Very clean, well maintained park and close to the lake. Beautiful stone walkway along the beach. Lots of parking and businesses (ie restaurants & shops) near the beach. The first 3 or 4 steps into the water is little uncomfortable (walking on baseball-sized stones and slimy seaweed). Consider water shoes. After that, in slightly deeper water, the sand is very nice and depth is gradual and child friendly.
Very nice beach and they have a dog section.
Nice beach. A little rocky in some areas. It's really quite long so conditions can vary quite a bit from one area to the next. The beach is within an easy walk of the town, so if you need some lunch it's right there.
Love the beach was nice ???? great place to go for a day
Had such a great time it's a bit of a truck to walk with all your beach stuff from the parking lot. I recommend water shoes or you might get a stubbed toe. We visited a great ice cream shop it's across from the bar and she has debit!! Can't wait for our next visit.
Clean and well maintained. Friendly life guards and staff.
Very nice place only thing beach is to rocky ???????????? very good 4 family outdoor activities
Wonderful place for a days outing.
Water is cold, place is clean, music is good, shops interesting... family fun!
Great destination in the summer. It being one of the nearest beaches in Winnipeg make it ver accessible to city dwellers.
Great Place too camp Clean & Tidy
Closed for season but still a great place for a walk/hike, take your dog etc .
Nice and peaceful! Lots of trees, big washroom, and it is a big park, and lots of benches. Clean park too!
If you use google maps to drive there. Park along the main beach stretch and dont go across the tracks to the dead end. I dont know why google routes you there. Beach sand is very rocky. Water is very rocky at tge start. Wear water shoes if you are going in with your dog. Watch for algae blooms before swimming.
Beautiful atmosphere, friendly people, had a bbq and lots of fun in the water!
It is still early in the year so a lot of the businesses were closed. The beach and surrounding area are well maintained and there are multiple playgrounds for kids to play.
Winnipeg Beach is great! The new boardwalk is nice and the beach, lake and sand is fun. Hige park space for picknicks and playing games. Restaurants are good and the markets are worth the trip.
Beach is nice, nice sandy area. There is a large grassy area with shade too. Shoreline is rocky but overall a decent beach.
Very nice beach with lots of green space where you can cool off
Great Boardwalk Experience! One of the nicer beaches in Manitoba to swim and camp!
I have loved spending my vacations at Winnipeg Beach. Great beach and lots of it. Life guards to help keep folks safe. I drive all the way from the BC coast to spend time with and for those I love.
Very well kept campground with asphalt roads. Nice large treed lots.
Excellent campground. Big sites. Full hookups. Walk to beach and village.
Beautiful park, clean water...not meaning drinkable???? but clear...
A Good place for swimming and sunbathing. What I don't like is you need to go through hard pebbles before getting access to water that can causes pain on your feet. Water quality is good. Beware of freezing water even in hot summer days ????.
Beautiful beach very clean
Excellent dog friendly side beach behind the water tower. Love the layout and size of the beach. Most people are good. Mostly clean there was some dog poo left behind but that happens I guess. Not a fan of a few people who decided to shore their boats on the beach then complain about dogs barking. It is an off leash dog park not a place to dump a boat for a picnic and not expect dogs to be around or for them not to act or be like dogs. Be on the look out for those types otherwise it is one of the best summer spots to bring your dog and enjoy the lake.
Nice sand, long boardwalk in great shape, beautiful scenery.
Such a beautiful and fun place to visit. Nice beach, great place for sailing, boating, jet skiing and fishing. Unique stores to shop in and tasty restaurants to eat at (price ranges for everyone). Saturday evenings bring your lawn chair and listen to great live bands. Bring your dancing shoes because there is room to dance!
Nice campsites right near the water good washrooms/showers highly recommend
This place is my childhood. Every summer we fly out to see family and laze around at the beach. This is an easy going place and tons of fun.
A lot of big rocks to carefully step on and over for the first few feet of water. Other than that it was nice. The water was shallow enough that once we got past the rocks, the bottom was nice and Sandy and you could wade out quite a ways.
Nice place to Escape from the city
Full service campsites with plenty of space and easy access to the town's amenities and the beach and a dog friendly beach.
Love Winnipeg beach.. can't wait until summer.. Levi's first swim
I truly love this beach, it's the best beach for me so far in manitoba
Great place to visit..something for everyone. Lots of places to eat and you must try the ice cream and boardwalk restaurant.
Clean and great for the dogs! I recommend bringing water shoes so you don’t cut your feet or slip on the rocks.
Great sandy swimming beach for the whole family. The town is small but friendly and can offer visitors good family restaurants and facilities and campers will enjoy an in-town camp ground for trailers and tents only one minute from the beach.
Main beach needs some work. Alot of the sand has washed away from the flooding! South beach much better sand and allows dogs!
Love the dog beach on the south side, the beach is a bit more rocky than the main beach, but our pooch and kids had a great time.
Winnipeg Beach Provincial Park offers access to one of the most beautiful beaches in the entire province. The beach looks fabulous, the water is warm yet refreshing and there are plenty of animals such as pelicans to be spotted nearby. Camping grounds, picnic tables, public restrooms, small shops and restaurants are only a few feet away from the beach.
Nice clean beach life guard on duty and washrooms clean also ice cream and arcade just across the street.
This camping park and surrounding beach area is beautiful. Campsites are roomy and semi private. The beach is just a minute walk from campsites. The town has great amenities. The boardwalk is a lovely place to walk and watch the beach goers.
Used to be a very nice campground but not maintaining as good as it should be slowly getting worse
Love Winnipeg Beach, even more...
Great place to bring your travel trailer. Paved roads and it appears that most of the sites are pretty level. We've never had to level out the trailer when we've visited. The front desk staff are friendly. Haven't had a chance to use the bathrooms but heard they were also quite clean. The sites are spacious but depending on where your site is, could use a little more privacy. The trees and bushes in between need some more time to grow. There's a playground nearby for the kids and the beach is just a couple minutes away. The town close by is a little outdated but there is a grocery store in case you forgot to pack something. Plus, Gimli is just a short drive away.
Tremendous getaway close to home. The ability to bring dogs to the south beach and let them be off leash is a blessing
for the price, a great park right next to the lake and the main street of winnipeg beach. many of the spots are wooded with privacy from neighbors. online booking is simple and the staff was very friendly and helpful. showers are clean and pay per use.
Decent beach to go to for older kids. The water is pretty cold for smaller kids so I wouldn't recommend it.
Very well maintained and thought out RV park. Right next to the beach and the boardwalk. Sites are a bit open, but are large and spaced out enough that you still feel somewhat private. The nicest RV park I've been to in MB.
Very nice and clean, super convenient that the camper sanitation system is right on your own lot so no need to hook up and drive to one. Nearby parks, and restaurants!
Nice waves, not crowded, clean bathrooms, nice play structure
After the renovation, the Winnipeg beach becomes the most popular beach in Manitoba. It's the beautiful and peaceful place I ever lived.
Nice quiet beach, simple board walk and stage, stores and restaurants are closed in the evening on weekends which is unexpected for a tourism town.
Fantastic place for a weekend getaway, or a Sunday stroll. Beautiful and historic downtown, great boardwalk, and fantastic beach. Small-town feel, with a unique vibe.
Beautiful campground, well maintained, nice town, great beach
Such a great spot to spend the summer days. Got here is mid June and had the whole place to ourselves! Lucky.
love it.
Awesome....friendly people!!
Beautiful .. vergine beauty ..
campsites are pretty close together and a bit pricey but the park is pretty nonetheless. fish flies were TERRIBLE summer ‘20 it was like one of the plagues. i also lost my cute watermelon shirt and someone stole it, not cool man
Lots to see and things to do for kids and family. Beach water is not the best but will do for hot summer!
Great boardwalk. Great restaurants. Very nice campground. I haven't been here in 20 years. Will be back. VERY NICE
Nice beach. Nice town. Great place to spend the day close to the city.
There were a ton of Mayflys when we went making the experience a little less enjoyable.
It is a good place to have a picnic with access to the beach. There are a lot of shaded area and the boardwalk are newly constructed. The parking is nearby as well.
Very nice and quiet place the beach ⛱ was clean and safe the park was pretty . Lot of service there I like it ????
Nice beach. Nice and clean. Great boardwalk. Awesome for family time!
Our camp site is nice, if a little uneven. Grounds are well cared for. Nice dog beach and main beach.. be nicer if water levels were higher but not fault of the park!
Great place to meet up with family and friends. Lots of shade, picnic tables, view of the lake.
Very peaceful at night!
This was cleaner than Grand beach by far. I was more comfortable swimming here.
Very friendly people, large clean sites, great for kids and adults, easy walk to town and beach...
It's a good freshwater beach away from your favourite beach ???? it's huge with most facilities like washroom, picnic spots, walkways. Perfect place to take your kids on a weekend. However, it is usually crowded and not the go to place if you are looking for a peaceful spot.
Nice place to go to relax
I can't believe how busy and packed it is there now. They have a new boardwalk and play area for the kids. There are new stores and lots to do now. We had an awesome time.
Great place to bring the family. Nice long beach and lots of amenities. Only an hours drive from Winnipeg.
Beautiful day great ride today pretty girl had a wonderful day
Nice sites and a great Dog Beach!
Beach was awesome everyone social distanced will go back again
The dog beach is awesome to visit..dog slept good that night. Every time we visit Winnipeg Beach...#1 spot for us.. ????
Had fun, very open, but everyone followed Covid protocols well.
This campground has lots to do, keeps you busy going to the beach and walking along the boardwalk during the day. But, night is not so good. Mid-July bug season sucks. Do not recommend for tenters, I felt uncomfortable sitting near the fire. If the fish fly mosquitoes weren’t killin my vibe, I’d give it a full 5.
A great little vacation town, really picks up in the summer when you can walk the beaches and stop in town for some eats and treats. Winter time is slower but it's sled friendly you can get premium fuel at domo and ride right out onto the lake and hook up with interlake snowtrackers groomed trails.
To many gatherings! Especially the family of 18 that took over the beach today. Not impressed as we are all tired of covid
It's a great place to visit and very safe
Amazing day with my new family ????❤️????????♥️ couldn't be happier
Very nice beach with lots of amenities. The shoreline and the first ten or so feet into the water is super rocky, so would highly suggest water shoes as your feet get sore fast!
One of the cleanest campgrounds out there!
Had a job beach patrolling here years ago. Great bunch of Manitoba park staff. Lovely strip park easy access nice boardwalk. Good sand, don't expect to see much underwater and opaque.
Nice cozy beach atmosphere in summer
Very clean and really quiet so far.
Nice beach good picnic area for family
I enjoyed this place... Especially had good icecream here after visiting beach
Love camping at Wpg Beach but the reservation system at beginning of season is terrible. People are bulk booking weekends and that leaves people who want longer stays to be unable to reserve sites. Maybe longer stays of 1 to 3 weeks should have priority reservations rather than vacancies in sites during the week days.
Awesome!!! Loved every minute I spent there.
Best beach in manitoba
The water was beautiful, but I couldn't get in due to the slimy rocks and shoe sucking muck
Did you know there is a DOG BEACH here!? My pupper and me's new favourite summer time spot! The dog beach is literally no different than the people beach except that you can let your furry friend run and play and swim with you! It's absolutely the BEST! Just remember to keep it clean and pick up your pal's ploops!
Fantastic beach area with Boardwalk... public. Washrooms plenty and nearby , and both beach and a treed grass area right by the beach
Water is meh food places are good
A bunch of rocks made it tough to get into the water but theres a ton of food places around and some really good ice cream
The beach was a little rocky but otherwise really nice. The main street of town has a few local shops/activities that I love to visit each time I come out here. Overall a very relaxing place to spend a couple days
Beautiful location, fun swimming and cute boardwalk. Good for sports, walks, swimming, food and drinks.
great prices on full service campsites, great location as you are 3 minute walk to the beach, good security and clean campgrounds. good for a couple of nights anything beyond would put me into bored mode
Love it there. Not over crowded. Very well taken care of. ☆☆☆☆☆
Love being at this beach. Clean beach, lovely shops, well maintained washrooms, lots of areas to picnic. Beautiful scenery.
So beautiful ???? we enjoyed
Great place to camp and relax on the beach. Live music during summer weekends. Great cinnamon buns at the store.
Lots of amenities and entertainment, live bands. Clean and well kept. Gorgeous _for the whole family including your dogs
Awesome place for the whole family and even your pets
Went camping for May long weekend to check things out...pretty good for tents too.
Beautiful and scenic views. Great beaches with nice sand bars. Little sad the boardwalk is concrete instead of wood. Gets pretty busy on weekends (family style beach). Worth visiting.
Grew up in Selkirk.brought back great memories .
Beautiful place!!
I love this campground. It has all full service sites. Good eats close by. Staff are very friendly and helpful
It's a nice place for swimming. The water is not deep. You could also spend the day for picnic. There are restaurants and eateries and a bar within the area, an ice cream parlor and even a place where you could play video games.
Very nice place for families. I visit it a lot on the summer time
Well kept beach. Washrooms are clean. Lots of picnic tables.
Really nice place the beach is excellent and food is close by though I found the staff at the burger joint near by to be kind of snotty. Overall I like the park lots of beach space and the water is good.
First time out there, had a blast. Was extremely busy
Nice sites. Full service.
Was amazed at how many boats we saw docked
Very nice and beautiful beach I like it a lot. It's also quite
Always very nice. New dips and water tower are less ppl.
Great place for a day outing great walkway along the beach very clean
Beautiful clean raised concrete boardwalk with railing. Outdoor shower, flush toilets, and plenty of picnic tables sprinkled amongst large trees. Camping steps from the beach. A separate designated dog beach with lots of room to play. We'll be back...
Friendly small town with an amazing beach experience. Whether you're renting a cottage in the area or spending the weekend at the beautiful campground, you're bound to have a great time.
A gem of a campground. Everything needed is close by including a cool dog beach.
Clean beach, nice sand to dig in, water is cold but nice on a hot day. Lots of restaurants close by. Easy to find parking on the streets.
Awesome! Sandy beach, very nice board walk, great restaurants and shops.
Very quiet in the park today but was a nice enough drive even after stopping for the rain storm....
Great evening enjoying a fantastic Johnny Cash tribute show by A.R. Cash at the Winnipeg Beach bandstand. Good music, good food, great weather and a good crowd in comfortable small-town atmosphere right at the beach.... couldn't ask for better. A great place to spend a beautiful Manitoba summer evening.
My first visit to your salon I love my highlights and haircut Thank you so much Nicole Will definitely be back for my next haircut Judi
Mostly long pull throughs, 20 / or / 30 back in sites. All have full service (30 and 50 amp).
Good place to spend the day, but be prepared that washrooms are not avaliable nowadays.
Clean beach and you can spend quality time with your family and friends
Love the bands on the bandstand
Quiet and beautiful beach town.
Love this camp ground clean great and friendly staff. We camp here every year and will continue to do so years to come. Thank you.,☺
Always a great place to enjoy the summer. Great Beach and after fun on the Beach you can enjoy so awesome food and fantastic IceCream
This place is a beautiful little town with a nice view of the lake! I wish there was a little more here though that would attract other peoples attention, and that the town would build itself up more.
Went to the dog beach for the first time. Doggo loved it. People were good about picking up after their dogs.
Great beach! There's also a large beach where dogs are allowed. Free concerts Saturday evening. Lots of food choices. What's not to like!?!
This place has been upgraded amazingly. Haven't been here in years...loved the live music tonight..walked the boardwalk, had a nice meal...beautiful night..
It's beautiful there. They day we went it was raining
Nice place people very friendly
Beautiful camp ground right next to Lake Winnipeg. Small town. Very quiet at night. Pull through and back in sites, and large.
We enjoyed Wpg Beach. We enjoy the beach vibe throughout the town. We like that we can access the town by foot, bike or vehicle from the campground. We love the home made bread at Park Place store in town, Johnee's hamburgers and the ice cream shop on the main drag. We hope that the shops, in town will be able to open soon (after covid). They were great to shop in and find unique items and clothing. We enjoyed walking the boardwalk and the beach. The campground could do with some weeding and removal of dead trees but all and all is very nice. We like the full hookup at the campground, the washrooms are kept very clean too.
Great time not to crowded definitely recommend going to this beach not a far walk from parking area.
Great place to go for a walk on the Boardwalk, and enjoy an ice cream afterwards. Usually very windy, so bring an appropriate jacket just in case.
Historic maybe not what it was in yesteryears. A shame things can not be like that again..but good beach quaint stores and camping
Great camping for people who like open spaces, being close to amenities such as coffee shops, restaurants and close to the city.
Great place to go on a hot summer day. Lots to do lots of options for food all around good experience
Went to the beach for dog owners...our dog had tons of fun and met a whole bunch of dogs!!!
Clean. Roomy. Quiet. Scenic. Consistent. Will return.
Very wonderful place very beautiful beaches
One of the nicest beachs you can find, loved it. If you are there stop at Johnees, they had awesome poutine!
The campground is so clean and quiet. The beach has sand and places to walk and entertainment most weekends and on wed nights from 7-9 pm
Very nice beach! It is less than an hour from Winnipeg and you do not have to pay to get into the beach. There is a nice board walk all along the beach and there is lots of place to grab a bite to eat. There is also a separate dog beach i believe. If you want to take your dog.
All was good other then the rock along the edge of the water...
Beautiful landscape , but the beach is not good : small stones and dirty water
What a beautiful place for an afternoon stroll, not to crowded ????
Very nice places to visit here, love being close to the water and walking the boardwalk. There is something usually going on and something for everyone to do.
Lovely place to spend a sunny day with family.
A great location so close to the lake and green space. Lots of space in the camp sites and clean washrooms. For sure a good place to check out.
A great little place to get away on a hot Summer's Day But be sure to bring cash as most restaurants are cash only
Beautiful & clean beach. Must visit place.
This provincial park is in a great location on the lake. It has a variety of sites, back-ins in woods with lots of privacy, pull throughs with more open spots to receive Wi-Fi. All sites have tables and fire pits. Roses and grapevines are grown to feed the birds, of which there is a great variety. There is a dog beach separate from the long people beach. Walk to stores, restaurants a board walk and band stand. Only negative is that it’s very hard to get into. Call the day bookings open, after that there will be little left, if you’re lucky some weekdays might be available.
Great laid back vibe and an awesome dog friendly beach to the south of the main beach.
Beautiful Manitoba spectacular scenery
Everything you need in a campground! They did a good job dealing with the covid rules.
Dogs allowed on all grassed areas by the beach and also allowed on the board walk. They also have a dog beach which is fantastic!
Went with family and my dog for a visit this weekend.. it was a nice experience. Only issue we had was the insects in the grass area
A little too busy of a location for my self but still enjoyed myself
We were looking for a nice place by the lake for a picnic. We did find a firepit, but it was a bit far from the lake, and from the parking lot (recommend bringing a wagon to transport picnic supplies). Proximity to Winnipeg was nice, but also means it is a busy park.
Very nice place to visit everything in walking distance, good intertainment on weekends ONE centerstage. We love this camp ground.
Beautiful, peaceful ad always friendly people to meet. The restaurants are great small town service make u feel welcomed! Food is good ad reasonable priced. Not that far from the city, but makes u feel like u are!
The waves were ridiculous and the kids had a great time. Very lovely and well taken care of park.
Very beautiful park, beach and great views
Nice and clean beach, but nothing special..
The water was very silty and there was a warning posted about high bacteria count in the water. The beach area where dogs can swim is very small and the lake bottom is rocky. There were thousands of flys. But at least they have an area where dogs can swim.
I really liked the beach, it is clean and sand is very nice. I really appreciate that the beach is supervised and there are lifeguards there patrolling the coast line. The also have a dog beach where you can have fun with your pet and that is awesome because very few beaches have this option. Now about the downsides. The beach is really spread out geographically and there are only 2 washrooms/changerooms there. And they get locked at 5-6 pm which is crazy because many people would come in the evening to enjoy already warmed up water. And after the finish there is no place for them to change. 24 hour washroom is available but it is a movable washroom with a capacity of 1 person of each gender. For such a huge beach that is located so close to Winnipeg having just one washroom after 6pm is insane. Especially right now, since many places (like shops or cafes) no longer have public washrooms due to COVID-19.
Very nice place to spend the day. Biking, swimming. Always live music on the summer weekends. Very friendly atmosphere. Go there!
