Great food, wonderful staff. Bell staff were rarely outside so we needed to track them down for anything. Rooms were old but well appointed. I felt the presence of spirits my entire stay when inside the building. Overall a unique experience.

The room was clean but pretty small. The view out the window was just a brick wall and it was 215 CAD(pet-friendly room)! There was no coffee pot, mugs or fridge in the room! When we asked for a fridge or if they have a fridge where we can store something they gave us a fridge and told us that they won't charge us for it. The staff was nice but when we were struggling to get our luggage to the elevator ( we had a lot of luggage) receptionist and valet were standing and looking at us. No one helped us. We have visited way nicer and cheaper hotels. This is not worth it at all!!

Attended the New Years mystery Dinner. I separately reviewed the event as this had nothing to do with the hotel and this review is about the parts the hotel did have control over...food, service and space. Space, it was in the grand ballroom, it is beautiful and FREEZING!!! The bathroom in the room was literally about ten degrees. People were wearing their coats, not comfortable. Food, there were three options beef, chicken on the bone and salmon. I chose the beef and knew it was a chance. I like most well done, it was not. This being said, everyone who did have the beef said it was wonderful. So, I know this one is mostly on me. They did try to give me a more well done piece when I asked, which was great. Now for the straight up terrible, the service. I do not think I have ever had worse service anywhere in my life. My table ended up just watching with horror and laughing at the posh setting and the ridiculous service trying to be white glove. Meals were dropped off one at a time, and the most insane thing we have ever seen took place...clearing of the dishes was done a single piece at a time!

I called the hotel to make a reservation. The person told me i had to call the reservation system because she couldn't book me in. Apparently, the hotel is part of a new reservation system and it is someone in a call centre somewhere else. The connection was terrible and the person difficult to understand. The hotel was fully booked for the night I was looking for (not his fault), but they no longer will put you on a waiting list in case someone cancels. He just kept trying to get me to book at a different hotel. When it was all over I thought he asked if I wanted to do a survey. I said yes and he transferred me to a person who was trying to sell me a vacation somewhere. All in all, a terrible experience.

Beautiful chateau style hotel. Lots of history. Precious metals of gold brass and more. Things built well to last a hundred years. Great staff, lots of locals hanging about outside so you can get quick information from great people anywhere close. Dining shuts down early..delivery is the option since most restos close at 9pm weekly downtown core here. Amazing building with ghost stories and a long history that offers CAA discounts.

Room was clean. Staff were friendly. Had an issue with a fire alarm that dampened our morning. Palm restaurant needs more variety on the menu, only 5 entrees to choose from and for breakfast being $20 a person the options were not worth it. No coffee available either.

I am ending my birthday weekend at the most beautiful and friendly place. A room that was fit for a Queen. Wonderful service for breakfast. A massage to remember. And extra thing that surprised me. I really look forward to returning.

Beautiful, well-appointed, centrally-located. I am in Winnipeg a couple times a year and there is nowhere else I would rather stay.

This is a wonderful historic building with lots of history. I was here for a meeting in one of there conference rooms. It was set up very professionally, we also had lunch served the food and customer service was impeccably. The facility is very clean including bathrooms. Parking is limited and abit expensive but it is downtown. Would recommend it to anyone.
