Even though we are in middle of winter, the park was live with all kinds of people walking arround the trails. The weather had lot to do with it because it was only -3c and Sun was shining. It was refreshing to see kids skating at the duck pond and tobogganing down the snow hill. People did kept up with the distancing which was good see.

Elai Idpan

Ideal for meditation, short walks. A very well maintained park with lots of parking and beautiful sculptures and folliage.

THE biggest and best park in the city! Great for biking, walking, blading. Always alive with people. The bike trails on the South side of Corydon feel like you're in the country (not sure if they are officially part of the park).

Bill Epp

So proud of our park! It has really turned into a must see attraction! Come and see! My kids really love the dinosaur exhibit!

The Leaf and the new Diversity Gardens are an awesome addition to Winnipeg's greatest park.

Nobody Here

Although is was very busy on the weekend you could still find a quiet spots. I hope they include Mote parking when the superstructure is complete... I just like to go, relax and enjoy being near the trees and walking on the Earth. It's nice you don't have to go far to enjoy so much.

Awais Muhammad

Amazing place to relax. Best part is assiniboine zoo,

Kevin Spratt

large, spacious park with plenty of things to do. I shared my poutine with a gopher that kept coming back for more.

Garry Bhullar

Good park for all ages, kids have a nice playstucture, some great slides with rope ladder, sand area. There is a zoo too in the park however that's not free, you have purchase a ticket to get in.

Louie Doulias

Assiniboine Park is an excellent park to visit, with a lot of different activities. If you enjoy nature, you can get that here. Walking or bike paths? Many paths, though most need to be repaved as roots have hit them hard. The kid park is awesome for the kids, lots of room for sports, a zoo, bbq pits and picnic tables... It's awesome and we visit almost daily.

Marina Havard (Marishinka)

The only fun during Covid and in general for kids. Love getting a coffee and hot chocolate as kids sled. Wish the warming fire place area was open for skates to be put on and off.

Sunny Singh

Awesome place with some great spots for taking pictures even in winters.

Primrose Panesar

Best place to plan a day out with family. Kids have their own park to enjoy with swings and play area. Neverending garden area to sit and enjoy with friends.

Beautiful and well maintained park, plenty of picnic sites and different spaces to use at your leisure.

Debrah Dyck

A beautiful place to spend a few days during your Winnipeg visit. Pack a picnic, enjoy the garden, let the kids play in the children's secret playground complete with hide-and-go seek wildscapes. Then take in the entertainment at Lyric. Walk across the bridge to Portage for some killer ice cream to finish the day!

Ashley H

Very cute place to go with friends. Nice selection of beer wine and non alcoholic drinks. Beautiful view of the park and duck pond. Washrooms are also located close by.

robpaprox

One of the largest, most popular parks in Winnipeg! Includes the city's zoo, duck pond, gardens, picnic areas, grassy fields, foot/bike paths, and more! Highly recommended!

Roger Wong

Great park. Could use more electric charging stations. Bike rentals are fun, and the new Cargo Bar patio looks great.

Jake Marks

You gotta love a (mostly) free park in the middle of urbanization. I hope they keep improving it and we never lose it.

Ryan Klann

Great green space to enjoy a beautiful day.

Clayton Drysdale

Beautiful park. Amazing gardens, excellent trails and lots of scenery.

Maria Mistfire

Great park! Parking can be very hard to find however, and there are many pedestrians walking in the middle of the roads.

Scott Kilborn

The place has really changed and is a great place for children, young adults and even seniors. The Park is the talk around Canada. The place has changed for the best and other businesses around the park there businesses have boomed because of it. It is huge to think this park is the best. Food and customer service is great. Atmosphere is fantastic. I totally recommend this Park to all locals and tourists. This park is the center of why Winnipeg Community is the best.

Jayehem's CUBE

Zoo, park, fountains, movie in the park too. You can do jogging, walking, biking in its trail. Theres a couple of restaurants inside the park but you can ways bring your own. This is my go to picnic park during summer.

Logan Painter (Logan's LYRICS)

Very good place, lot of crowds when there shouldn't be due to covid. No signs on bathrooms so anyone needing to go won't know until they touch the door. But other than that beautiful pond, and park, and view!

Kevin McGregor

It was a very nice walk, considering how dry it’s been. There were even a few flowers already in the English Garden!

josh

the outdoor garden place is very pretty, so much in one spot, lots of trees and shade so whatever time of the day you come you can have shade and not burn in the sun if you plan to stay/have a picnic

Glenn Allen

English garden at the park. A lovely walk about on a brisk fall day.

Ruth R

Nice walking path at the forest.

Paige

Great park. Big children's park with lots of fun and interesting play things. Nice landscaping. The zoo is inside (the zoo is amazing I highly recommend it) and the coservatory is free and has a wide range of plants. The pavilion is public …

Oluwafunke Dada

I enjoyed the time spent at the park with my family. It's such a beautiful place to spend time alone or with family and loved ones. For lovers of nature, you can't go wrong by visiting this awesome place where nature is preserved. It has a nice play ground for kids, sculpture garden with lots of flowers, English garden and lots more. We went on a raining day and it was not busy at all. My daughter really enjoyed the visit as she had a lot of fun playing and running around. I've never seen her had so much fun since Covid lock down. Would definitely visit again

Grant S

The best park in winnipeg. Other than the forks this is one of the best places to check out in winnipeg. There is a zoo or gardens or sculptures or flowers or trails or just green places to hang out. Bike walk jog whatever you like :-)

Brianna Vince

This park is so beautiful and something to do for all ages. They have the zoo, the steam train and the kids park which is amazing. The lyric in the summer always has stuff going on at the stage. Leo mole sculpture garden is a zen place to take sit or picnic. Over the bridge is Sargent Sunday great place for ice cream. Best of all it's pretty much free to go other that the zoo and steam train.

Gagan Kasana

It's the best place for a walk, any time of the day I envy Winnipeg wish we had something like this in Toronto

Patrick 23

Great place to hang out with family and friends

Calvin Yong

Beautiful place to walk, visit gardens and have a picnic!

James Rockwell

Big fancy park. Frederick G. Todd, Canada's first landscape architect, designed the park in 1904. He later did Tuxedo Park in 1909.

Jeff Nolan

I live trap squirrels at home and bring them here. I like to think they would never want to return. Basically, a squirrel paradise. Humans are welcome.

Timur W

beautiful place. Great for a morning walk

Rick Jonsson

If you are looking for a good all day activity in Winnipeg then have a look at Assiniboine Park. The park itself is huge and has lots of sight in and around it included Winnipeg zoo. I would recommend a stroll through the English garden and the sculpture park and then around the duck pond to the Pavilion museum and possibly walk around the outside perimeter of the zoo. A great day out!

Colleen Okrainec

Cannot say enough about the Assiniboine Park especially the English Gardens. If you have not had a chance to see these gardens you’re missing out. So many different flowers to take a second look some take your breathe away. While you walk through the gardens it’s so quiet you can hear a pin drop. Sure there are people but everyone so relaxed from the calmly presence of the garden tucked south west part of the park. Many wedding foto’s are taken with beautiful backgrounds to capture the moments. Enjoy the foto’s.

Kristof VonEckhart

Great place to take a walk with many attractions through out the year. There is a duck pound. A lovely statue and garden park also good for the odd wedding and there's even a large children's play ground. If you dont have kids there are many trails and areas for all sorts of sports and or a picnic. There are also fire pits for use. I really can't tell you enough about how much there is to do here.

Lloyd Harder

Best duck pond skating in Wpg and a pretty good tobogan hill for the kid

Christian Okwudiwa

Great space for outdoor activities

Rennae K

Love this park. There's something for everyone and it's so big you can't feel over crowded. Great walking trails, lovely landscaping, always see people playing sports in the fields, and there are many more fields that are still open for use. There is an amazing kids area. And a sledding hill for winter. There's little art exhibits in a few of the buildings in the park. All are worth exploring.

Carol Vermeer

Beautiful almost autumn weekend, colours were in all their glory.

Christopher Sigurdson

Absolute gem in the city, especially during covid. All year round its fun to explore, great place for a fire or bbq, and there are tons of deer in the evenings, they tend to show uo jn the cricket pitch. The Terry Fox fitness trail is good fun in the summer too, if you haven't tried it.

Dana NVRSK

Always plenty of nature to enjoy

Boniface Gomes

We recently went to "The Leaf" area of Assiniboine Park and explored the garden. It will be a great addition to the park when it is completed (the leaf part is still under construction). Enjoyed the garden and it's different arrangements (seating areas, small water structures in between and overall ambience).

Guy Wilde

Winnipeg's premiere park. Lots of open spaces for group activities. On the south side of the pavilion you can usually catch a cricket match or two, when the current COVID Public Health Orders are lifted. There is a great children's playground on the west side of the Pavilion. If you like you can take a relaxing stroll stroll through the English Garden and the Leo Mol Sculpture Garden. There is also the steam train that you can take a ride through part of the forest inside the park. I only gave it a single star as the main attraction, the Assiniboine Park Zoo is way too expensive for most families. Expect to shell out $21.50 for adults, $18.75 for seniors and students and $12.00 for children aged 3 - 12 years old.

Ian Parenteau

Nice summer stroll, beautiful variety of plants, water features, and a stunning array of large size statuary make for a very pleasant family friendly outing in Winnipeg.

Niki Nelson

Love hanging out at this place. They have music on Sundays in the summer and it is very chill. We love to bring snacks and hang out! Family and dog friendly ????????

Alyssa Z

lots of construction going on due to the leaf garden. It looks like it will be beautiful though ! Side walks and roads aren't always in the best condition for biking/ walking. Fields and fire pits are great though ! Love the new fire pit slots and Cargo Bar.

Mayette

First day of snow!

Daniel Roscoe

First time out for just a coffee since confinement started. A friend and I went to the park for a chat. They have rearranged the seating, and opened up a back room to get a fair number of people in while still distancing. The kitchen is now closed off from the eating area and the waiting area is standing only with spacing indicated on the floor. They will take your cell phone number and text you so you dont have to wait inside. There was a short wait, maybe 10 minutes but not long. The menu is a bit smaller than I remember but still fairly good. My friend had eggs Benedict while I just opted for sourdough toast and both dishes came quickly. Free coffee refills and we had a nice visit for maybe an hour. No one tried to hurry us along or anything so it was a nice visit. Parking by the duck pond was full but there was lots of space in the zoo lot just around the corner. All in all the place looked pretty busy but was not really crowded. I'll be heading back I think.

AndrewP204

My favourite park in Winnipeg and a lot to see/do there. Definitely a place to go to during a Winnipeg summer or fall.

Abram Klassen Fehr

A beautiful place to enjoy with family or friends

monique gabryluk

So much room to walk and enjoy the outdoors!

Neil Jonker

Went to Assiniboine Park tonight to enjoy their movie night. They have it well set up for families and friends. Lots of space to sit although the volume is tough to find a nice spot for. Parking is always an issue for events like this. I enjoy the park even though it's on the opposite side of the city. Finding a decent parking spot often leaves something to be desired.

zaheer maknojia

It’s a nice and clean park. One of the best place to get relax and visit with your family to see the zoo and enjoy the beauty. This park is very well maintained and you can enjoy playing cricket or volleyball. Even I have seen some people doing BBQ on weekends.

Nick LePage

Great place to walk and take in the scenery

Karl S

Assiniboine Park is a natural oasis of beauty and calm, even in Winter. Visited the Leo Mol Sculpture Garden and English Garden on Feb 22, a sunny day. The sculptures strewn throughout the rambling paved paths are interesting and varied. The subjects incl animals, regular (eg. lumberjacks) and notable people, along with artifacts from Winnipeg's history, e g. Victoria column from the original city hall, Boy with the Leaking Boot fountain and the Lady In the Park statue which is totally charming. It is pleasant to walk around, explore and admire in the fresh air with the River close at hand. The English Garden starts at the Duck Pond and the Park Café and though stunningly beautiful in warm months, retains interest with varied animals and birds in Winter. To be enjoyed!

TheMegz296

One of the nicest parks in winnipeg so much to do can easily spend 3 hours here kids of all ages love it. The duck pond is always a site to see....also just a beautiful scenary.

LAM3SMURF ttv

I enjoy going to the park to go pokemon hunting, join raids & what not, the security there is super respectful when it comes to you playing pokemon but assure to check up on you, it's well kept among the community ☺️

Ahmed Elsamahy

One of the best parks all over Canada!! It is so big and good for groups of families and friends. It’s good for picnics, outdoor activities and sports and everything! The nature there is incredible. There’s parking around the park. And it looks so different in winter and summer, like two different places!!

Laurie Montizambert

This park offers so much for everyone. A beautiful sculpture garden, duck pond, walking paths, stage area, flower garden, etc. One of my fav places to come to in Winnipeg

Quintessa Saffira

I loved this park as a child. I grew up here. This was the park I escaped from my stepfather to. Seeing it full of untended holes from gophers and the water fountains welded shut was absolutely heartbreaking. I know times are hard right now, I don't blame you for shifting funds to fight the pandemic. But I hope to update this review next year when I return. It was like returning to an old friend, to find them sick and badly injured.

Meghan Cole

the most beautiful gardens. often have construction making parking difficult

Hertz Vaughan

Excellent pop up bar. cargo bar at the lake.

Cindy Munroe

We had a nice time visiting:)

Gina

This is such a great park. Tons of beautiful green space and lots of paths to walk on. The duck pond is a great place to hang out and watch the ducks. If you have kids, the children's park is world-class. Highly recommend!

Elizabeth LeBlanc

Somewhat busy but still fairly covid safe, just recommend wearing a mask once you get in a busy area around lots of people.

Noor Pannu

A great place to spend time with family and friends. If you're wondering where to throw a picture perfect picnic straight outta Pinterest, Assiniboine Park is the place to go. Also a great place for an early morning run or a bike ride.

Brent Retzlaff

Love Assiniboine park. Especially when they have shows at the lyric stage. So much to do. Check it out.

Ron Hogue

"The Leaf" garden was fantastic, especially on a warm, sunny August morning.

Eric Boateng

Awesome place. Took the family there and we had plenty to do. You can rent 4 seater bikes for the family to move around as it's a big place. Children's playground and the zoo was fantastic. Definitely a place to check out with the family.

Victoria Weir

Watching the park evolve over the past few years has been a treat, and I can't wait to see what the new development has in store. I'm a bit disappointed in the increase in price/introduction of fees for previously free attractions, but ultimately the transformation of the park has been worth it.

Ben Bain

What an outstanding park! You could spend a very pleasant few hours walking through and around the Indigenous Garden, Kitchen Garden, Sensory Garden, English Garden, Duck Pond and Leo Mal Sculpture Garden. And that doesn’t even include the Children’s Natural Playground or the Assiniboine Park Zoo. The new Leaf project looks like it is going to be a really interesting building, although construction is still ongoing right now. And the steam train was unfortunately closed for repairs during the week of our trip.

Mark D Smorong

Best Park and Zoo in Canada...and I been to them all. Winnipeg should be so Thankful!!

Tourism Winnipeg

A great park to visit year round. There are lots of different areas to explore in the park!

Neil & Marleen Jonker

Wonderful new additions in gardens and outdoor seating. Remains a place with so many options, all in nature.

Ken Ross

Visited Assiniboine Park Lyric theater with Ron Paley Band playing. A beautiful summer evening. What a great venue and free of charge ! The only problem is that prairie dogs which are burrowing rodents are making a mess of the place in …

Quantum Pilot

Lovely park all year around

Dm R

A great place for walking and biking with your family. You can even get a 2 and 4 seat bike for rent near the bridge. Keeping social distancing is easy while enjoying the nature. If you like an ice cream, just across the bridge on Portage, or enjoy the coffee shop or the bar in the heart of the Assiniboine Park near the pond. The English garden is always a lovely place for photos with sculptures and flowers.

Ajay M

Today we had a very leisurely time in the park; the sun was warm and the fall display of flowers was terrific, spent a good three hours there.

Alla Deroun

Beautiful park in any season!

DJ L

Wonderful place to spend a day.

We didn't get out of our vehicle just drove around. The park is nicely maintained. I really liked seeing the gophers I know they are considered pests but that are so cute.

Anita Agbo

Very nice place for kids and families

Natasha J.

The most beautiful place to be in Winnipeg in the winter!! Nice walks in the trees where you can be warm from the wind, cross country ski trails, and skating on the pond. No warm shelters as of right now (January 2021 etc) but a cafe with warm food and coffee. Definitely worth a trip with the family :) also right by the river with a skating path. Easy access.

Mau Marquez

Great place to walk around with the kids and enjoy the day with the family and friends. A biking rental is also available in case you forgot to bring your own. There's also a nature playground for kids to enjoy and a nearby hot spot ice cream shop to go on a hot sunny day!

Darci

Fun afternoon at the park, and found these beauties ????

Athina P.

really big and beautiful the duck pound is extremly full with lovely geese...

Andrew M (OhmGnome)

Spend an hour or the entire day, there is lots to do. Cricket field, sculpture garden, duck pond, trails, adjacent zoo, the list goes on.

Adam Orbanski

I loved coming here and just having the freedom to walk around outside in the beautiful nature. There's not much we are allowed to do anymore, so thankful we can at least still connect to the earth.

Jessica Kletke

This park is great for a picnics, rollerblading, walking, running, playing frisbee, or just hanging out. Baseball diamond and Cricket fields are also here. Very beautiful and well maintained.

Ronald Smith

A great place to visit but there are no restroom facilities in easy-to-use locations, you really have to search very hard to one.

Dragos Nina

This is a very beautiful park with numerous trails, large open grass areas, a zoo, a steam train (only in summer), and a new botanical garden.

Melody

Very nice place for all season, lots of different places that you can explore, area for picnic, playing, wedding, the zoo is in the area too, there's a train for kids and playground. It is a nice place for running, biking and there's a place by the bridge where you can rent a group of family bike.

kevin knight

Huge public park area with a lot of outdoor space to enjoy. The park has a few children's parks, alot of bike and walking paths with restaurant and bike rentals to get you around

Tejaswini Nayak

This is a beautiful park with a scenic trail. We love watching the wildlife here. It's our go to place for a nice stroll in the evening. A special mention is the delicious soft serve ice cream they serve at the cafe that one must not miss in summer.

Leandro Campodonico

Very beautiful park, gardens and lake. For a very enjoyable afternoon outside

Mike Jar (mikrom)

5/5 would visit again. Duck pond, new pop up bar beside the duck pond. Social distancing measures in effect, even the geese wore masks. The English Garden was looking great. The ice cream treats at the park could be open later, but overall great time.

Mai Yun La

Great family friendly place to visit. Free shows and entertainment at the Lyric theater often. Beautiful English Gardens and the Leo Mol garden frequently has live musicians playing. Nice place for a walk. Public washrooms available near the duck pond. Lots of pokemon available in the game Pokemon go.

Andrew A

Love this Park. One of the best in all of Canada.

Ruslan Shakirzyanov

This park is located in the city, amongst the river and it's awesome! Took the steam train ride and saw a bunch of deer right in the city. The park is full of geese and ducks, squirrels and prairie dogs. Greater place to go with family, ride a bike or just walk around.

Betty La

Excellent park, beautiful gardens, nice duck pond with fountains. Large Lyric Stage, excellent zoo, vast playgrounds, large open fields for sports, some indoor washrooms available, some food vendors available, beautiful Pavillion with Art galleries available during business hours.

Natasha Coogan

Been coming here for a while. Good for every occasion you can think of. There are nice trails for walking, and just walking around at the park is always nice. Touring around, you have the leo mall. Entertainment there’s events at the lyric …

Isabelle Normandeau

Possibly one of the most underrated places I have ever been to. It is so beautiful and historical. The English Gardens are something special. If ever you visit Manitoba, add this to your bucket list!

C “Plant Girl” Nov

Assiniboine Park keeps getting better and better! Lots of things to do and see.????

Muskan Vhora

The place is so peaceful, would suggest to get food from the small shop at the enterence instead of the Cargo bar. Will save some money.

Richard Jorundson

Best Park in the city! A lot of renovations and upgrades make this park very nice. Had lunch near the duck pond and then cycled home again. There are several bike friendly ways to access this park and assiniboine forest is very close by with tons of trails and access to fort Whyte and the Harte trail(part of the trans Canada trail system) I have stopped and had a fire at one of the many fire pits here for lunch with family and friends.

Maher Mg

Very nice park to go with your family or friends. Lot of space it have soccer ⚽️ and kroket and beautiful views. Also if you want BBQ then go there .

Mary Copeland

Assiniboine Park has something for everyone to enjoy. Plenty of accessible walking paths, play areas for children, picnic facilities, beautiful gardens, a world class zoo, an abundance of wide open spaces to play games and an excellent casual eating establishment. And the best part of all is that aside from the zoo (which is reasonably priced) it's a free experience!

Anthony J. Pua

Susan Novakowski

Great family day..from the walk to the flower garden to the kids zone!

ashley preece

Always love going to the park, very well kept and a beautiful escape.

Darrell English

Always a lovely park. The new additions seem lovely but it will be a while before we get a chance to enjoy it all.

Geoffrey

Assiniboine Park Well they have made several big changes in Assiniboine Park. There is still a great deal of construction inide the park. Getting in and around the park is not as simple as it used to be. The East entrance via Wellington crescent is under major contruction. They have removed the entrance in north east corner of the park. The roads in the eastern part of the park have changed, some lead to parking lots and others have been removed. New foot paths have been created. A lot of new areas have been created to explore. There is poor signage and a great deal of on going construction It will be interesting to see once it is finished. Also we got to see a wild turkey wander around.

Camilla Reeves

Very big park. So relaxing to stay and just read a book or have picnic with the whole family. There are picnic tables everywhere and you can cook also if you bring portable cookers and griller. Special events are held here every weekends and special holidays. Good place also to went jogging every morning.

fedisa !

So many beautiful spots to see!

mike sun

Good area for children, play and know some history

Craig Omundsen

Within the park we have a meticulously maintained English style garden with winding walkways around flower beds through low hanging mature trees. Additionally, have a craft beer at Cargo Bar ????.

Rita Gordon

Always something to do. I prefer the park over the zoo. Beautiful flower gardens and duck pond. Diversity gardens still being built so I am excited to check that out next year! Grab a blanket and go find a spot to sit in the shade or sun. Ice cream is also available for purchase in the park at the cafe and across Portage Ave. as well.

Frank D

Was truly amazing to see the gateway to the Arctic, underwater viewing tunnels.

Chris Harp

Super nice park. Well kept and with the zoo right there, makes for a great day out weather permitting lol

Jarrod Jaskow

Absolutely beautiful place. The patio was packed the geese are out ! Soak up the last bit of summer and head to the park for some yoga a nap or even a good book.

Frank Rinella

Loved it. Huge park. Lots of parking. Great trails to walk/hike. Watch the cricket, kids played at the nature park, hit up the zoo, throw the ball in the field behind the pavilion, have a picnic at the many picnic tables, check out the gardens and ride the steam train. Great afternoon. You should do it.

Carol Cassell

What's not to love about Assiniboine park? There have been so many great developments in the past few years that add to the park! There are clean and plentiful public washrooms, a playground, gardens, walking trails, off the beaten path walking and biking trails, tons of green space, a restaurant, pond, art gallery and zoo. It's a great destination!

Les

This park has done so much to better itself over the past 5-10 years, lovely place to walk, sit, play, exercise and more. Family place or a great hangout for friends. Multiple options for drinks even alcoholic. Nearby are cafes and Sargeant sundae!

Assiniboine Park is a Winnipeg Gem. Designed when the city had great vision architecturally and maintained for our enjoyment (even improved) over the years, I will always drive through, picnic at and walk around this beautiful place. Recently becoming a dog person again, now I love going to the trails and taking my puppy for long walks. Thank you Winnipeg for Assiniboine Park, so much to do and see!! I could do without the Zoo, however - sorry, I don't believe in them anymore but to each their own! I did enjoy it as a kid... even though a part of me somehow knew monkeys in Winnipeg makes no sense ;)

Akash Lalka

Great but place for hangout. Its seems like you are in heaven, If you like natural and animals then this is the place you must visit in Winnipeg. Great for family and friends picnics, play games, cycling and many more....

Robert LeSage

Shared a wonderful afternoon wirh family at the park. The new exhibits were exciting. Watching the bears swim was super cool and the giant bug walk about was fun and spooky too..hehe. Then ended the afternoon with a family picnic.

Dwayne Lamoureux

Best park in Winnipeg. Too much to enjoy and only more to come! I recommend if you havent been, its worth spending a day there that's forsure!

mike F

The hand water pump at the children's play ground has not worked all summer. It was removed about a month ago to I assume get fixed but now that it's reinstalled it still doesn't work. The poor kids keep pumping one after the other for 3 drops of water. Last year it worked great. Maybe time to have a talk with the plumber???

banafshful

A beautiful park with many walking trails. You can see wildlife as well!

kurtis kivi

Really nice park, can feed ducks at the duck pond, great nature playground for the kids, nice walking trails, can even walk to get ice cream. Best park in the city.

Chris Bawden

Lovely park, new developments open and opening. It is definitely a multiple visit place per week for my family.

Vanessa Kalyn

Lots of fun for kids and interesting things to check out. The nature playground is a must see for little ones!

Ruth Clare

This park is huge. There is something for everyone. Bike and walking trails, benches everywhere, fabulous restaurant with huge windows and great coffee, a zoo, picnic area, flower gardens, sculpture garden, art gallery, childrens play and interactive area, outdoor theatre, great birding trails, cricket field, fire pits, train rides, horse drawn cart rides, a free bus tour plus a lot more.

Swapnil Kanaujia

Great park for walking, picnic and etc

Cw Wc

Great park. Love the addition of the pop up beer vendor

Thomas Hounsome

Had a great time quite easy to social distance plenty of places to drop a blanket and enjoy the sun away from other people. Wouldn't have minded seeing more masks on people at areas where we have to congregate like the washroom excetera. The park is exceptional of course. I always have a good time there.

jafar faraj

It's gorgeous ????...I love the English garden, the kitchen garden....actually everything

Ariel Antonio

Qualico Family restaurant was strict in enforcing the vaccination card policy. No card no entry in the dining area even if your Double vaccinated. The Mgr even embarrass you to stand in the corner green spot, to wait for his orders, pretty tyrannical.

Debra Tokar

The park just keeps getting better with new Leaf Garden.

cc M

Great place to bring your family. Right now there toboggan hills and skating. In the summer it's great to bring children to parks, have picnics and even take them out for a snack at the restaurant . Great place to walk bike as well. They have entertainment, outings and bike rental. Come check it out

Catherine Sproat

A great place to visit in every season of the year!

Brian Hirsche

Only seen a small section of it so far. A little confusing to get around, we thought we were in the park and all of a sudden we realized we had crossed over into a housing neighborhood. Lol kids loved the nature park

David Hayes

always a pleasure; always something new; sorry I missed your opening date for the 146 foot tropical waterfall; WOW

felix lee

This review is about the Nature Park playground: it's amazing! All of the equipment is in excellent shape, there is an assortment of activities, and everything is very, very clean. Highly recommended! (Note: bathrooms near the parking lot and picnic area are not always open or in the best shape, so use the ones in the pavilion.)

Moira Jones

Beautiful day walking in the English garden. So nice to see so many families enjoying outdoor activities. I wish more wore masks.

David G

Went to go pick up the Virtual Family Camp pakage for Polar Bear Day. My daughter had a fun time watching and learning and making the glitter poop cookies. Thank you to Manitoba and the Zoo for these opportunities during these times.

Colleen Renaud

We checked out the new Diversity Gardens at the Park today. It was a beautiful fall day and the gardens still looked very nice. There were lots of people out enjoying the day, but it didn't feel crowded at all. There are several walking and bike paths, and plenty of benches and seating if you need a rest. Very enjoyable!

Amy Harris

Winnipeg has amazing parks all over the city. Assiniboine Park is our best. So many great mini parks throughout, cricket, mini train, garden, duck pond, and the zoo next door. They are all beautiful on their own. If any one place shows off Winnipeg, its this park. Enjoy!

Amanda Fry

Music in the park tues-thurs. There is the cargo bar. Leo mol garden is always beautiful and if you time it right the sunset walking across the bridge is always beauty

Mark Steiger

A very nice way to spend the morning.

Randy Vogt

Great playground for 5 -12 year olds by the duck pond and right next to the Pavilion. Some very unique playground hardware. My 3 year old granddaughter loved playing here.

Anna Owczarek

We like going to Assiniboine Park. However, if you are planning an evening out at the Summer Concert Series with you family (mainly kids) make sure to do your homework. This year the Concert Series are sponsored by Casinos of Winnipeg. So to our disappointment the other day they had a group of Drag Queens performing at the Lyric Theatre. Casino, Club, indoor theatre absolutely! Public park, were there are families and kids is just not appropriate venue!

SEAN COOK

Such a beautiful park, amazing scenery, lots of trees, great trails for bike riding,i loose myself in this park!!

Adam

Great menu and service. If its busy, they'll give you an approximate wait time and then text you when the table is ready so you walk around and enjoy the park. Nicely spaced out tables.

Dileep B

Really gem of a place inside the city. Right next to zoo. It has a great open space and lot of tables for people to picnic. Great walking trail, duck pond, and restaurant too. Great for kids and family. Lot of open space to play

Susan Dobrowney

I love to see the English Garden, it's always full of beautiful horticultural delights. Lovely coloured blooms and foliage with many seating areas to enjoy the quiet surroundings. Was treated to see a pair of hummingbirds this time feeding on the blooms. This is one of my favourite places in Winnipeg and it's free.

keaton livingstone

beautiful park! The gardens are not in bloom just yet but when they are its definitely worth the trip, a nice bit of nature tucked away in winnipeg!

David P

I love this park. Good for biking, walking, having picnics. Concerts and activities occur in the summer. There is a duck pond with nice seating areas to hang out. The pond doubles as a skating rink in the winter. Next to the pond area is a restaurant called the Park Cafe which is open mornings and afternoons. There is a play area for kids so the park is pretty family-friendly. There are many lots that you can rent the host family barbecues. Several sports fields are used to play soccer, Ultimate Frisbee, etc. There is also a Terry Fox Fitness trail which hosts a number of structures to do strength training and and general endurance. Each fitness area has printed instructions posted that outlines a number of workout activities. So you can come here for a run and get some strength training done as well. And there is a lovely plant/flower garden, statue garden, and the Assiniboine Zoo. Lots to do here!

Faisal Vahora

Best place for all age groups. One of the best park in Winnipeg.

Jeremy Lipschitz

English gardens and Leo Mol sculptures are a peaceful sanctuary in the park. We'll worth the visit.

Trevor Tat

A great place to explore during a nice summer day.

Nick Pizza

Beautiful spacious park with bike rentals, zoo, and tons of fields.

Donavin Fontaine

Awesome park just some people have to put their invisible privilege cards away lol, a group of at least 8 people expected a little family to move off the whole walkway for them without following proper walkway etiquette. But that's just the way some were brought up I guess, no sweat off my brow still had a great time with the family!

Kelly Kehler

I haven't been to Assiniboine Park for many years. This is my first visit to Leo Mol Sculpture Garden. Definitely need to go back in the summer. The statues were amazing. Gotta be better with all the plants in full bloom.

Michelle Collins

Nice park. Wish some people follow guidelines wear masks and not bunch up with more than 5 people during the pandemic strict rules.

Donna

Great family memories ❤ as always , LOVe this park since I was a little girl, now I enjoy with my daughter and her children ❤

Norman Fullerton

Much upgrading has been done to grass and walkways in the park. Always well maintained. A pleasure to visit the osrk.

Laurie Sodomlak

I have enjoyed so many aspects of the Assiniboine Park. The park provides areas for family picnics, the Zoo, the English Gardens and now this great little pop up for a beverage and light snack.

Brock Stimpson

Went to the cargo bar and it was fantastic, they make great drinks and your dog can come with you!

Rose Park

Even on a cool cloudy day the Assiniboine Park is worth the trip. Great walking paths, it's beautiful to stroll around the duck pond and through the English Garden!

Adrienne Moore

Assiniboine Park is such a gem in the heart of Winnipeg! It continues to be an oasis for people even when Covid has altered our lives in so many different ways. Come to this thriving park to experience the beauty of nature, entertain your family, exercise and get some fresh air...and make some beautiful memories of your time in this special place!

Stacy Sunley

This park is beautiful and is my favorite thing about living in Winnipeg. Great place for a walk, lunch, and day with the kids.

Crystal Scotland

Summer Entertainment Series movies in the park was lots of fun! Older movies with a couple of presentation glitches that did not detract from enjoying a night out with my family. Covid rules applied, double vaccine and physical distance.

Rita Nimchonok

Loved it.My family was the 1 millionth people to enter the zoo when i was a child. During this pandemic we have not been anywhere except doctors. Got to take my family and tiny dog for drive thru ice cream before we got there. than sit on a bench walk the dog get some nice fresh air and beautiful scenery. No people to have to deal with so we could be safe and enjoy a little time together. Must say though the entrance was closed we usually would come in so i did get a little lost. But well worth it in the end.Looking forward to doing again.mom used to take 4 kids all the time.Who knows maybe we can set a new record for the archives. So enjoy everyone. But remember physical distance bring a poop bag to clean up.Wear a mask if people are around. We'll get through this.

Rick Harrison

I enjoy stopping in the park whenever there is time. There are so many things to do here. You can visit the zoo, stroll through the Leo Mol Sculpture Garden, enjoy the formal English Garden, watch Ballet in the Park, ride on the Steam Train, escape winter in the Conservatory, play Cricket on the main lawns, enjoy a family picnic, or one of many other fun things. The most recent time, we encountered a deer in the parking lot of the conservatory.

Kirsten Koch

The park is nice, but the walking trails are limited. The large open grassy areas would be great for picnics, sports activities, etc. if there were not so many gopher holes. There is lots of parking, and huge plus is that it's close to several restaurants/attractions on Portage and it has a great restaurant (Qualico Center) on the premises.

Karen Samson

The new Indigenous Peoples Gardens is spectacular...a beautifully set up area with gardens and areas to relax and explore!

Miriam Glogowski

Beautiful park. Nice to stroll, bike, have a picnic and enjoy the nature

Diane S

The day I went there was hardly any snow. The walkways and Trails are well maintained with many people walking and running. The English Gardens are decorated for Christmas and can be a short or long walk. Parking in front which is handy and you can usually find a spot including handicapped parking, an electric plug in station parking and regular parking.

mark valdez

It's a great place to go for walks, a run and even bike around.

kevin linklater

Love the atmosphere

Sandy Pimentel

The park was great! The new area with the Manitoba plants and grasses was awesome

Solomon Okene

It was fun on Canada Day 2018 with family and friends who just arrived Canada. The green grass & trees coupled with the presence of people from various parts of the world (Multiculturalism) was very amazing to everyone. The young kids were so excited playing. Great place.

Donna Keenan

Favourite park in the city. Love this place year around!

Karlo N

big nice place to stretch out and relax in nature, some of the constructions do detract from the nature feel on certain areas. Overall, it is a great place to spend a lazy weekend with family/friends

L P

Assiniboine park has changed a lot during my lifetime. It's beautiful and you feel like you in a different world! There are areas for children to play and discover, areas for adults to relax and lots of green space. We visit Assiniboine Park all seasons as the often have activities. Having the zoo next door makes a one stop shop for a day of adventures!

Devan Clark

Clean park. Kids have fun on the playground and get to enjoy some wildlife!

Fred Clark

Such a gem of a park! Very wide open spaces with fairly decent parking. Always updating some area. The new "Leaf Gardens" are spectacular and very well done!

Pethou D

The gardens are beautiful and a pleasure to walk around. Once the giant greenhouse is complete it will be a national attraction.

Valerie Anne Sanchez

Our family loves hanging out here. Lots of things to do with the kids. You can go running, walking, biking, picnic, kite flying, playing sports at the field like frisbee, soccer, badminton, volleyball, dodgeball, etc. Great family bonding time. Trevor McCloy

Assiniboine Park is a gem to Winnipeg. So many amazing things in this park and more to come.

John Martin

It so amazing going to a park friendly environment that is truly different than your typical parks across Canada. What I encountered was a wide variety of household vegetables set out in such a manner that was warm, interesting and informative so you can produce in your home or garden. To add to this specular event was these impressive carvings as identified in the pictures.

bryce cooper

From skating in wintertime to biking the "monkey trails" in the summer, definitely a favorite place of mine.

Al Walid Hamam

Beautiful park. Lots of space to picnic or load up on some Vitamin D. Play structure is great (pre-COVID) for all ages. Walk through the English gardens to see a beautifully manicured/planted garden. There is a snack shop and icecream stand within the park, or head to a favorite ice cream store just north of the park.

Sonya Letkeman

I love waking. It's beautiful, great for dogs nice scenery. Favorite time is when the flowers are up

Patricia Gonzalez

Our family's favorite park

Marietta Sanchez

Good friendly staff, it's just to bad we couldn't get in because they are looking of proof of covid vaccinations , we already fully vaccinated.

Jessie Christianson

Last visit to the conservatory. Closes April 2nd 2018. Still beautiful inside. Go check it out before its too late!

Susan Moffatt

I have been coming here since I was a child. It holds many happy memories for me, with my parents, and also my family. It continues to do so due to its relaxing atmosphere within nature wherever and wherever you are. The gardens, the open and picnic areas, duck pond, the world class zoo, the pavillion with it's galleries, eating places, provide so much scope for everyone to enjoy.

Rosalynn Maahs Daigle

One of my favourite places around thr city. So many little areas to explore and always something fun and interesting. My husband bought me a memory stone for our anniversary that sits inside the garden and I visit it all the time. Love it here.

Rony Shaha

Great place to get together and organize outdoor birthday, marriage and other summer activities

Ernie Wall

This place is huge. There are cricket clubs if you're into that, a big kids playground, duck ponds , one of the nicest zoos in at least North America. There are picnic tables, flower gardens the place goes on and on. If you go bring your waljing shoes or bicycle and spend a day there you'll be glad you did . Also bring the whole family young and old

Giegy Derupe

It's a beautiful park. Very big area for family picnic or gathering of groups. Nice to see people jogging and exercising. I loved this place. And keep coming back.
