Very interesting. I learned a lot about how a fish ladder works, and about the salmon lifecycle. You can view fish in the fish ladder from above or from the side.

(Translated) A fishway has been set up to prevent salmon from running up the river due to the construction of a power plant dam near Whitehorse on the Yukon River. There is a wooden path where you can see this fishway (fish ladder). The tour building has an underwater window and a live camera monitor so that you can observe salmon climbing the river through the fishway. The staff helped the salmon hatch and managed the number, and I was able to see how it was done. (Original) ユーコン川のホワイトホース近郊に発電所のダムを建設したことで、サーモンが川を遡上できなくなるのを防ぐため、魚道が設置されています。この魚道（フィッシュラダー）を見学できる木道があります。見学棟には水中ウィンドウやライブカメラのモニターがあり、魚道を通って川を上るサーモンを観察できるようになっています。スタッフがサーモンの孵化を助けたり数の管理を行っていて、その様子も見ることができました。

We saw the start of the salmon swimming up stream in the Yukon river this season on Aug 1st. Very cool sights! World's longest fish ladder. Fantastic info from the staff on how they review and monitor salmon stocks. Great view of how extremely fast the river flows

Check the website for hours as they vary over select time periods. Very educational, the students/interns are knowledgeable and help the make a visit worth the while.
