We had a fantastic day! Captains Andrew & Bruce's hospitality, knowledge & experience made an amazing experience even more enjoyable. We got to see a whole group of orcas in action and a very loud, large group of sea lions! The scenery and boat ride were great. We never felt rushed, and got to enjoy the experience at our own pace. Some of the kids were nervous at first, but we were quickly all at ease with how prepared & experienced they were. We stopped for a great lunch at a local restaurant. Overall, a wonderful day with absolutely no complaints! Highly recommended!!

We've seen it all sea lions, seals bald eagle and most important killerwhales (including tail slapping and breaching) the boat ride around the Gulf Island's is just breathtaking! This was a spectacular way spend a sunset with visiting Friends and Relatives, The experience of zooming around on the ocean waters of Semiahmoo Bay was incredible. White Rock Sea Tours with Andrew was such a great experience! he got us suited up to keep warm and dry the whole day boating around in search for whales (went out in November, so it was a little chilly), a quick stop at an island for lunch! Not every tour is the same, but I cannot wait to go again when the weather is warmer! 10/10 Andrew!

Thank you to Captain Andrew! We had to reschedule our tour due to a couple things that came up. Andrew was very accommodating and made sure we got on a tour that met our schedule. He didn’t stop till we saw some whales and one of them even put on a “show” for us. Andrew was very knowledgeable about the area and made the whole tour a fun and informative. I had the pleasure of taking my son (7), nephew (8) and mum (age to remain confidential or she will kill me ;)) on a sea lion tour! Andrew definitely knows what he is doing and did his absolute best to make sure we had a memorable trip! While unfortunately there were no sea lions at their usual hang out he decided to take us on a different route which I'm sure was very out of his way to ensure the boys got to see the sea lions up close and in person! The entire trip was about 2 hours long and we all enjoyed riding fast on the boat and seeing the Sea Lions (the boys loved listening to them!). I can't wait to go on another trip with White Rock Sea Tours! Next time I will book the longer experience to see some whales but with the young ones we felt the sea lion experience was the perfect length of time! A really fun and unique adventure for anyone and I found the company very flexible and responsive! The weather on our day was a bit questionable but we were able to change on the fly to make it work.

Our whale watching adventure was the trip of a lifetime! We saw 4 killer whales... magnificent, and sea lions and seals. We also saw a bald eagle, it was incredible. Great day of Whale watching! As passengers we were informed of regulations, why these regulations are in place and how they protect whales and can help manage passenger expectations. We understood why they can’t get so close or stay with the whales for a long time. We had a more than satisfactory observation experience, while protecting the marine resources. We saw both Hunchback and Killer whales. Captain Andy was fun and accommodating.Thanks for a great experience!

Andrew the Captain and Nicole his associate were the absolute best. We saw a whale within 1 hour of our trip, which we know is very lucky! The boat ride overall was amazing and we felt safe in the boat. We had dinner at a beautiful restaurant on a remote island, it was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Lastly, we got to ride back to the mainland during the sunset on the ocean, which is by far the more breathtaking experience. I would highly recommend taking this tour.

Captain Andrew was our guide. He's a really good guy and cares about the marine life. The tour was around 5 hours. During that time we saw steller sea lions, harbor seals, a pod of orcas and porpoises. He made sure we were comfortable and offered us an extra jacket and if we wanted to come inside the cabin to warm up, which we did accept, as the way back to the dock was cold. He is very knowledgeable about the sea creatures, deeply cares about them, and makes sure we get enough time to see the animals. It was an unforgettable amazing experience to see the beautiful sea animals.

Although we got back later than scheduled, we got to follow the friendly humpbacks and get a close look at sea lions(and a pup!) and harbour seals. As well as stop off at Saturna Island for lunch. Amazing experience with Andrew at Whiterock Sea Tours. He went above and beyond to make the event extra special and memorable. We saw killer whales/humpback and seals. Andrews company is the only one that will also take you to an island for a break - this island is amazing as well. We got to see seals and he went out of his way to find more whales, marine animals to watch before we headed back. He even spent an extra hour and half since it was a cloudy day. Hats off to you, Whiterock Sea Tours, I definitely recommend them over the other companies. We will be coming back for another trip before winter arrives. They went above and beyond and a great overall service.

My wife and I had an extremely enjoyable experience on this tour. The Captain Andrew was extremely safety conscious and showed a lot of patience with a group booked running late. We appreciated Andrews experience and his knowledge and commitment to the well being of the whales and protecting them. All in all we could not have asked for a better day, even the weather cleared and we observed the killer whales and some extremely entertaining seals. Would go again!

I took my daughter (10 years old) on this amazing Whale Watching tour after meeting Captain Andrew on a different boat. It was by far the best experience we had while visiting BC from Ontario. Captain Andrew was very professional, and extremely experienced and we knew we were in great hands. We watched the majestic Orca's as they were swimming up the Georgia Strait and another pod in a very beautiful location. As an added bonus we got to see bald eagles, sea lions, cute baby goats and John Wayne's former private Island. It was a wonderful adventure and I highly recommend it to everyone who wants to experience God's amazing creatures and have the best wildlife experience ever!

The sunset cruise was beautiful! When you go in the summer evening, still wear a light sweater. It's gets windy, so bring a hair tie. And be sure to double check the exact time on the reminder email confirmation that is sent a few days before the tour. The times will change depending on what time the sun will set. Beautiful views and a lovely boat ride.

Andrew was amazing, really went out of his way to ensure we would see whales. And did we ever, as we followed a pod of orcas around for quite awhile, before he took us to a great bar and grill on one of the islands. After a great meal, back on the boat and immediately found the whales again! What was advertised as a 3-5 hour trip lasted about 8 hours as no one had to be back at a precise time and the whales and Andrew were accommodating. Andrew was a true professional, conscientious and caring. He is a well-respected member of the whale watching tour community, getting and giving locations to where the whales are. He would always make sure other boats maintained appropriate distances from the whales and alerted oncoming boats as to the whales’s presence. The zodiac boat was a blast and we were able to get around in a hurry. Highly recommend White Salt Sea Tours and really glad we went with them!

We went out with Whiterock Sea Tours on Friday. Capt Andy and Nicole found us the orcas and the humpbacks. We observed the orcas hunting and a mother and baby humpback. A good day for boating included a surprise stop for a bite to eat at a resort in the way back.

Had an amazing time during this tour. We saw and followed 2 Orcas and also saw a Grey whale, sea lions and seals. The tour lasts about 4.5 hours. Andrew took us out on the water and unfortunately I forgot to get the other guides name that came with us but nevertheless they were very informative and tried to give us the best experience possible. Definitely recommend this tour to any nature or ocean lovers. Tips: bring sunscreen and dress warm no matter how hot it is because you WILL get cold and possibly wet, and if you get seasick easily definitely take an anti nauseant pill before you get on the boat. Other than that enjoy, take lots of photos and dont forget to tip the amazing staff! 10/10

I feel badly for giving this a bad review because seeing the whales was a HUGE highlight and the boat ride itself was enjoyable but a series of events really put a damper on our day out. I don't think our captain was having a very good Monday. We were set to leave at 12pm and asked to be there 15 min prior. The captain showed up at 12:05pm. After he got us organized we went to the boat where he informed us he still needed to spray down the boat. Alas we were on the boat and heading away from the dock when yet again we were informed we needed to stop for gas. 10 min later we were again heading out and 5 minutes into the open seas we were informed we needed to turn back around to get pants because the waves were choppy and would get us wet! So back we went. I believe it was well after one when we finally made our way to see the whales. The tour was wonderful but cut short because our captain needed to get some customers back for 5pm so they could catch their flight and he still wanted to stop for lunch/drinks at 4:15pm. I was hurried to order, and paid $50 for some appetizers and one drink and didn't taste a thing because I had to inhale so fast with the "hurry hurry hurry" from the captain. I would just as soon have spent more time watching the whales and found food after we arrived back to the dock on time. Instead, we arrived back at the dock at 6:15pm. I felt bad for the stress I am sure the family was feeling to make their flights back to the UK that evening after they were assured they would be back on time. Would definitely have put a damper on their trip, as it did mine. All that being said, we followed an awesome pod of orcas and I am hoping our experience was an exception to the rule.

Thanks to a wonderful friend who gave me certificates to a sunset Cruise, we spent our Friday evening on the water when everything was bright and beautiful, getting to know Andy and hear his wonderful stories, and had an experience out on the water while the sun was dropping behind clouds with jazz music playing. It's very unfortunate that I have to leave a negative review. We had booked this service for scattering ashes, a memorial ceremony for my grandmother. We had booked a boat for 1 hour with a heated cabin and music service available for the ceremony, when we arrived we were taken on a rescue boat and were told that the boat we originally booked is parked aside for repair. We were not given any notice of this change. Unfortunately when we arrived there was no one at the location to meet us for the booking, we were waiting around for 20 minutes and then finally had to call to find out where the boat launch is. We had booked for a 1 hour boat rental and our boat ride was done within 25 mins out and back. The spot that the driver stopped for us to scatter the ashes was in a very public place with people watching. We didn't say anything at the time of all these complaints because in our culture this memorial ceremony is suppose to be a peaceful ceremony. We were not offered any compensation for the inconvenience nor any apology and no sympathy. I would definitely NOT recommend this service to anyone who is wanting to book a memorial service for a loved on. It's a hard enough time for what the family is going through and for a company to take advantage of a family thats keeping quiet is very disrespectful.

Whale watching in mid-November? That's right! And we had an amazing experience! Capt. Andy provided special survival suits that kept us warm as we visited several islands, including one island covered in sea lions. Met several humpback whales, and we were "mugged" at sea by two majestic whales. They came right up to the edge of the boat and spent several minutes just hanging out with us. We we very moved by these giant gentle creatures. Capt. Andy is a gracious and kind soul. He loves the whales, it's very evident his heart is in the right place. If your thinking about doing this, stop - just do it! It was the highlight of our trip to Vancouver. Took train and bus directly to white rock pier from Vancouver - very easy.

Best whale watching trip I had so far (I went on 4 in total, all starting in Vancouver or Victoria and once from here) we went on the longer trip, which is definitely worth it! Spotted seals, sea lions, porpoises and as a highlight a family of majestic killer whales. Concluded the trip with a super relaxing meal at a pub located on the beautiful Saturna Island. I went out last weekend and I was blown away by the experience. Andrew, the Captain, went above and beyond to ensure we saw whales. We saw a pod of killer whales, sea lions, seals, and had a wonderful tour of the Gulf Islands complete with a lunch stop on one of the islands. The boat was amazing too! We had an incredible time with Andrew today on our whale watching tour. When we called to reserve our spots on the boat Andrew was extremely personable and answered all of our questions. Once we arrived at the pier Andrew gave us our survival floatation suits and we were on our way. It was very clear that Andrew knew exactly where to go to see whales and that he also really cared about their well being - we saw several pods of orcas which included males, females and younger whales. We also seals, porpoises, and other birds and fish. The zodiac boat was a lot of fun and my fiancé who is 6’4 was very comfortable. We stopped for lunch in Saturna which was great before heading back to White Rock. I would highly recommend White Rock Sea Tours - five stars without a doubt.

We did the whale watching adventure with Captain Andy. The trip was laid back start to finish. We saw Grey whales, Orcas and sea lions. The trip included a stop on Saturna Island for lunch which was a nice break in the action to enjoy good food and a great view. Andy was great. He also has top of the line gear and machinery. The red speed boat was literally out of the wrapper and belting out fun music while we cruised. Andrew is a man of his word. We booked a tour on Saturday, 1 October 2016, we left on time, he catered to our comfort and safety, even on a blustery October day. The whole day was an adventure even though we didn't see any whales. Andrew invited us back for the next day free of charge knowing that the weather would be better. He made an extra effort to provide us with a once in a lifetime experience, from bringing a bigger, more powerful boat to staying out longer in order to rendezvous with a pod of orcas. He will not sacrifice the safety or comfort of the whales or any wildlife for our benefit, and if you have a question you will find him knowledgeable and informative. We are planning to go out with Andrew again next spring.

Beyond our expectations. White Rock Sea Tours and Andrew, our skilled captain , took us on a picturesque tour, during which we saw an abundance of wildlife including eagles, sea lions and the majestic whales. He provided us with an incredible afternoon on the water, on a high performance vessel with safety and our comfort, including seaworthy outerware, foremost in mind. We even had time for a stopover for a delicious lunch before heading back. Throughout the afternoon Andrew explained many interesting facts about the wildlife we saw and always ensured that we understood the value of protecting their habitat. He provided his tour with utmost professionalism, a sense of humour and on occasion a few great tunes on his excellent sound system.

I went on my first time ever whale watching tour with you and you all were amazing. One lady had a bit of a jolt from the very choppy waters and sitting at the very front seats she wasn't prepared and hurt her back. Andrew was right on it and calmed her down After a few minutes she was able to continue but Andrew kept her along side him. We got to see quite a few orcas that day I just wish I was able to get better photos. Will I do it again, U bet! Just being out on the water was fantastic!

Couldn't be more terrible. We booked a whale watching tour with this agency at 5 pm and they made us wait for more than an hour. They also shortened our tour from 4 hours to 2 hours. Not only that, we did not get to see any humpback whales, sea lions or eagles like advertised on their website. Another annoying thing was after such subpar service, they refused to give us a refund or discount. We would definitely not recommend anyone doing a whale watching tour with this agency

We were out in Vancouver around the third week of October and decided that a whale watching tour would be fun. We contacted Captain Andy and the whole experience ended up being the highlight of our trip. Captain Andy spent the day with us showing us a group of transient killer whales, seals and sea lions. We even stopped at a lunch spot that had some of the best food we had while we were there. The whole day was such just a great time, we're definitely planning on coming back during warmer weather and doing this again! I would recommend Andy & Team to anyone and it's a definite must-do when you're out on the West Coast. Thanks Again Andy!

I have travelled extensively and been on other whale watching tours, and I have to say Captain Andy’s tour is top of the line! I highly recommend the experience for seeing killer whales, sea lions and humpback whales and just having fun boating on a zodiac. Our tour yesterday lasted 6+ hours and we even stopped off on Pender Island for a delicious lunch on the patio. Had an amazing day on the water. Our party had two younger kids and they had a blast! Captain was super knowledgeable and worked with other vessels to try and track down the best location of whales. Everyone felt very safe - the kids even loved when the ride got bumpy! When the weather got a little rainy we were welcomed into the cabin to warm up. You also take a pit stop to an island for some lunch - there is no rush. If you have a smaller child make sure you pack a pair of rain pants. Very professional. Highly recommend.

Poor customer service. They were a bit unprofessional and not prompt with their responses. They had to change my booking time after it was confirmed and then again the day before. The second time they got the time wrong. When we arrived, their office was closed. No response when I called the first time. The second time he did not provide clear direction on who would get us. This caused a lot of confusion and our trip to start a bit late. Also, their fee is too expensive.

Totally recommend to people visiting BC and for locals as well. We are local to the Vancouver area and we have been out with Captain Andrew three times this year on the whale watching tours. The tours were some the most memorable and breathtaking experiences of our whole time living in BC and we are planning on going again! The ocean is so beautiful and the animals are amazing. We saw orcas, a grey whale, porpoises, sea lions, eagles, hawks, crabs.... and a lot more! Saturna Island is like a paradise! My son loved it every time and the children who accompanied us once in April also loved the experience. What an awesome adventure! Andrew made my birthday extra special by agreeing to a solo tour (there was an extra, but well worth it, cost) as no one else was booked for the duration of our stay. We enjoyed humpbacks, orcas (which swam under our boat!!!) and seals as well as some beautiful scenery and great little lunch break on Saturna Island. Andrew is also a great educator as to the ocean commuunity as a whole and what they all do collectively to look after this very special ecosystem. I would strongly recommend White Rock Sea Tours. We had a memorial ash scattering on Saturday, October 9th. We chartered two boats through Andrew for our memorial as we had about 20 people. Both captains were very professional and the boats were very clean. We appreciated the encouragement to adjust the time to get the best weather possible that day. We paid a bit extra to be able to spread the ashes by the White Rock pier as per the deceased's wishes. We appreciated the flexibility of the captains to be able to do this. We never felt rushed as they generally cared about allowing us enough time to say goodbye. We chose to bring rose petals with us to spread in the ocean as well. They looked beautiful as they rested on the surface. Overall, we had a very positive experience with White Rock Sea Tours on a sad day for our family. Big kudos to Andrew and the team.

We were fortunate to see a humpback playing on the surface followed by a large pod of killer whales at active pass. We finished the afternoon on a gorgeous ocean front patio on Saturna Island. I went on this tour with white rock sea tours and whale watching and found it amazing!! We saw an assortment of wild life, sea lions, eagles, wild sheep and best of all the whales!! We were taken to see 2 pods, a smaller one and a large one in the straight of Georgia. At one point we were surrounded. The scenery was also spectacular!! I recommend this company to anyone wishing to go on a tour!

We had a family trip planned in order to deposit my parents’ remains off of the coast of White Rock, where my folks grew up and met. The weather that morning was a bit...untamed. Andrew first suggested that we perhaps reschedule but that wasn’t an option for us as we had come from Montana and my sister’s family from Massachusetts. Andrew’s response was “ok let’s see what this new boat can do, I wouldn’t suggest bringing children”. So he outfitted my sister and I in mustang suits and helmets and off we went. Although aspects of the trip were challenging nautically, I’m sure, we were able to witness true seamanship on a top quality vessel. It was fitting as our father had proudly served in the Royal Canadian Navy and had no shortage of stories that took place in rough seas. Andrew’s personality and skills made a tough situation seem like, if not a pleasure cruise, then as close as a person could get under the circumstances. Highly recommended and I can’t wait to get back next summer to get my family out so my daughter can see those orcas...thanks Andrew.

I just went on a tour on October 28, 2016 and had a blast! The captain supplied floatation suits that kept us warm the whole time and the weather was next to perfect. We got to see several groups of Humpback Whales and had Dall's Porpoise swimming and playing alongside the boat. We stopped at an island pub for food and refreshment and then finished the day by visiting the local majestic Stellar Sea Lions. As we were departing we came across a pair of humpback whales that we sat and watched pass in the sunset. An adventure like no other to really see the ocean and all it has to offer. The captain was kind and very informative of the various areas as we passed through. The captain loves what he does and it shows through the quality of the tour and the respect he pays towards the animals. I will be going out again in summer. Thanks for the experience Andy!

Even though the weather was a little 'moody' on our sea tour, we had an absolutely fabulous time. The boat was comfortable and we were equipped with everything we needed to stay dry and warm. When we met at the office, Captain Andy met us with a welcoming smile, we got suited up in flotation suits (pants and coats- as it gets cold out on the water!) when we got to the boat (a brand new shiny red powerful beast with saddle style seating- and a toilet!!!) Andy briefed us on all the safety info, where things were and how to get his attention while we were on the water.. Not only does he know where the whales are, he ensures that all guidelines are followed (distance from the creatures) He takes it upon himself to inform others and protect these beautiful animals.
